Abstract

Lobster plays a pivotal role in the fisheries industry, and the potential development of this business needs to be thoroughly understood to support regional economic growth, particularly in Sebubus Village, West Kalimantan. This research aims to study prospects and simulations of the techno-economic aspects of lobster cultivation businesses in West Kalimantan. The research methodology involves collecting primary and secondary data through field surveys, interviews with business stakeholders, and analysis of relevant economic data. The data were obtained from lobster business locations in Sebubus Village and secondary data from recent scientific articles. The data used encompass aspects such as production costs, selling prices, and other factors affecting the sustainability of the business. Based on the results of techno-economic simulations with fixed variables of harvest composition (A 30%, B 30%, C 40%), critical factors for lobster cultivation businesses were identified, including a minimum seedling capacity of 14.87 kg, a minimum survival rate of 67.65%, a maximum decline in lobster selling prices of 20.42%. In contrast, an increase in feed prices did not significantly affect the lobster industry. This research is expected to contribute significantly to understanding the lobster business economy in Sebubus Village and surrounding areas. Its practical implications involve efforts to enhance production efficiency, reduce risks, and create a conducive business environment for lobster industry stakeholders.

Abstract

This paper discusses the impact of feminism on women through the Chinese social media and e-commerce platform—Xiaohongshu. Sentiment and themes were categorized for 100 top posts, which ranged from movie recommendations to critiques of women's status and encouragement in self-love. It was realized that there were well-balanced presentations of feminist discourses with large chunks for each category. This indicates active engagement and diversity of ideas on issues of feminism by young Chinese women. The platform has further served as a means through which feminist discourses are publicized and resisted in a manner representative of broader societal attitudes toward gender equality in contemporary China

Abstract

This study examines the individual and combined effects of motivation, loyalty, service quality, and administration costs on customers' decision to use Gold Installment Products at Bank Syariah Indonesia Tangerang Selatan. The study also considers the moderating effect of PromotionPromotion. The research method used is quantitative with a Purposive Sampling technique. Both primary and secondary data are utilized as data sources, with the study being conducted at BSI and involving 100 participants. IBM SPSS Statistics 20 is used for data analysis. The results indicate that Motivation (X1) influences the decision to use Gold Installment Products, while Loyalty (X2) does not. Service Quality (X3) and Administration Cost (X4) influence decisions. However, the Promotion variable (X5) does not affect the decision directly, but it can act as a moderating variable, strengthening the interaction between Motivation and the decision. Simultaneously, Motivation, Loyalty, Service Quality, Administration Cost, and Promotion collectively influence the customer's decision to use Gold Installment Products

Abstract

Public service is a core aspect of the duties of state apparatus by 1945. The government has failed to provide good service to the people. Public services must be carried out transparently and accountably by every unit of government service agency; the quality of public service bureaucracy has yet to have a broad impact on achieving public welfare. This study uses a qualitative research type with a descriptive approach. The kind of data used in this research is secondary data. The research analysis uses a qualitative method, starting with the concept of public service according to various experts and then analyzing the concepts of service quality and good governance from the public service perspective. Public service is conducted routinely and continuously, encompassing the entire life of individuals within society. Public service refers to the activities carried out to meet the service needs by laws and regulations. There are basic concepts of quality in public service and concepts and applications of good governance in the public sector. Based on the results of the research analysis, the characteristics of good governance from the public service perspective must meet four main elements: accountability, transparency, openness, and legal compliance

Abstract

East Nusa Tenggara, a province in eastern Indonesia, is subject to acute poverty as a result of demographic factors and restricted access to capital, particularly for women. The economy primarily relies on agriculture, fishing, and livestock; however, productivity is low due to inefficient practices, uneven rainfall, and lengthy, dry seasonalities. Access to markets, health, education, and tourism is impeded by inadequate infrastructure, which has a detrimental effect on the quality of life and slows economic growth. Women are notably affected by the high poverty rates in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The government should incorporate sociocultural sociocultural factors into developing policies to enhance these women's well-being. Koperasi, democratic and solidarity institutions, can be employed to facilitate inclusive access to capital and foster prosperity. Koperasi may receive assistance from the government in the form of regulatory incentives, funding, educational campaigns, and skills training. Banks may also contribute to capital access; however, collateral requirements may serve as an obstruction. Regulatory incentives, collaboration with microfinance institutions, and a credit guarantee scheme can be beneficial. Gender-responsive policies should consider the community's cultural context and involve various sectors and institutions. A multisectoral approach can achieve a comprehensive policy that encompasses women's lives. The East Manggarai regional government can empower impoverished women to contribute to inclusive economic development through collaborative efforts among various stakeholders

Abstract

Regional development planning is a strategic process that determines the direction and quality of sustainable development. The West Java Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) plays a central role in formulating integrated and participatory regional development policies and planning documents. This study aims to analyze the success of Bappeda West Java in formulating regional plans using the perspective of Henry Fayol's classical management theory, particularly the functions and principles of general management. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through literature study and analysis of planning documents and institutional practices of Bappeda West Java. The results of the study show that Bappeda West Java has systematically implemented Fayol's management functions, including forecasting, planning, organizing, commanding, coordinating, and actuating, which are reflected in the preparation of planning documents such as the RPJMD, RKPD, and other derivative documents. In addition, Fayol's management principles, such as division of labor, unity of direction, unity of command, centralization, discipline, and esprit de corps, are consistently applied in the organizational structure and work mechanisms of Bappeda. The discussion shows that the application of this classical management theory remains relevant in the context of modern bureaucracy and contributes to the effectiveness of regional development planning governance, including in addressing strategic issues such as stunting. The uniqueness of this article lies in the integration of classical management theory with empirical practices of regional development planning, which shows that Henry Fayol's principles are still applicable and adaptive in contemporary public organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the managerial function of Luther Gullick's theory, namely POSDCORB and its relationship with the achievement of organizational performance based on SAKIP and LKjIP data at the South Tangerang City Youth and Sports Office. The methodology applied is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods using interview techniques, observation and document analysis. The research findings show that the majority of POSDCORB functions have been implemented efficiently. The planning and reporting functions are evident in the achievement of SAKIP scores that received an A predicate, while the budget function shows a level of efficiency with budget realization reaching 94.19%. The organizing and directing functions provide support for achieving youth participation and sports achievement targets. However, there are several challenges in the ASN staff placement function due to gaps in competence and dependence on PPPK, as well as in the coordination function that is not yet fully effective involving the private sector and the community. A new aspect of this study lies in a comprehensive analysis between the traditional POSDCORB management function and modern performance indicators to evaluate managerial effectiveness in local government agencies

Abstract

The governance of Indonesia’s National Strategic Projects (PSN) involves complex interactions among multiple public and private actors, requiring collaborative and adaptive approaches. This study examines the application of Mary Parker Follett’s organizational theory in PSN governance, focusing on key principles such as power with, integrative conflict resolution, direct contact, continuous coordination, unity of purpose, and the law of the situation. Using a qualitative descriptive–analytical approach, the study draws on document and literature analysis of academic sources, government regulations, and official policy documents related to PSN. Five major projects, the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), the Jakarta–Bandung High-Speed Railway (KCJB), the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS), Patimban Port, and the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate were selected as analytical cases due to their scale and multi-actor governance structures. The findings show that Follett’s principles are increasingly reflected in PSN governance through collaborative power arrangements, deliberative conflict management, adaptive decision-making, and sustained cross-sectoral coordination. However, persistent challenges remain, including sectoral fragmentation, rigid regulatory frameworks, power asymmetries in public–private partnerships, and uneven institutional capacity. Overall, the study confirms the continued relevance of Follett’s theory for analyzing contemporary public administration in Indonesia, while highlighting the need for institutional strengthening and enhanced stakeholder participation to support more inclusive and adaptive national development.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of Frederick Winslow Taylor's Scientific Management Theory in the public service bureaucracy of the East Bolaang Mongondow Regency Government, North Sulawesi Province. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of scientific management principles in improving the efficiency and quality of public services through work standardization, time and motion studies, employee training, and the use of bureaucratic technology. The results of the study show that the application of this theory can accelerate administrative processes, improve accountability, and optimize human resources. However, weaknesses were also found, such as the potential for employee dehumanization and limitations in adapting to local conditions. It is recommended that this approach be integrated with Human Relations theory to balance technical efficiency and employee welfare in the long term.

Abstract

Public service is a core function of government in meeting the needs of the community and influencing levels of public satisfaction and trust. This study aims to analyze the quality of public service at the Tarumajaya Subdistrict Office. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach, employing data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis of service quality is based on indicators of physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results of the study indicate that the quality of public services at the Tarumajaya Subdistrict Office is generally quite good; however, it does not yet fully meet the indicators of service success. This is due to limitations in human resources, suboptimal facilities and infrastructure, as well as service times that are sometimes not in line with community expectations. Therefore, efforts to improve service quality in a more effective and efficient manner are needed to achieve excellent public services.
