Abstract

The usage of stem cells in the medical field offers significant potential for treating various degenerative diseases. However, it also sparks debates surrounding ethics and legal considerations, particularly within the context of Islam. This article aims to explore the use of stem cells from an Islamic ethical and legal perspective, focusing on ethically and halal-sourced stem cells. Adult stem cells and those from the umbilical cord are considered more acceptable from an ethical and Shariah standpoint, while the use of embryonic stem cells raises more complex moral issues. The principle of necessity (dharurah) in Islamic law allows for exceptions in certain cases, but strict conditions must still be met. This article seeks to provide guidance for Muslims from various backgrounds on the use of stem cell technology that aligns with Islamic principles.

Abstract

The onset of menstruation is one of the puberties experienced by teenage girls. Menstruation refers to the cyclical, periodic bleeding that originates in the uterus and exits through the vagina as part of the monthly cycle. Up until now, a lot of people have disregarded the need of maintaining good health and hygiene during menstruation. One of the many beliefs regarding the restrictions placed on women who are menstruating is that they are not permitted to wash their hair during that time. In actuality, it's critical to maintain good personal cleanliness, including hair hygiene, and physical wellness. Determining how Islamic law interprets the ban against shampooing for women who are menstruation is the aim of this study. This kind of research is descriptive in character and is conducted in the field. Data were gathered by interview techniques and some documentation; these were then reported in a descriptive manner, and an analysis using inductive reasoning was done. Shampooing is prohibited due to the possibility of hair loss. Consequently, they wait for the sacred time to arrive and refrain from shampooing while they are menstruating. In the framework of Sadd Ad-Dhariyyah, shampooing a woman during her menstruation is permissible as long as it isn't done to conceal her period so she can engage in acts of worship like fasting or required prayers that need to be completed on a different day.

Abstract

Transplantation of pig kidneys for patients with kidney failure has become a significant topic of discussion within Islamic law. This study explores the permissibility of using pig organs in transplantation under Islamic principles, particularly focusing on the concept of darurat (emergency) which allows for exceptions in life-threatening situations. The research indicates that while many contemporary scholars argue for the permissibility of pig kidney transplantation when no halal alternatives are available, there remains a division of opinion among scholars regarding the ethical and health implications of such practices. Furthermore, advancements in biomedical technology, such as genetic engineering, present potential alternatives that align better with Islamic law. Ethical considerations, including the dignity of both humans and animals, are crucial in this discourse, highlighting the necessity for continuous dialogue among religious scholars, medical practitioners, and the community. Ultimately, this study suggests that while pig kidney transplantation may be permissible under certain circumstances, the development of innovative and halal solutions should be prioritized to ensure adherence to Islamic teachings and ethical standards in healthcare.

Abstract

Poverty is a problem that is always interesting to study because it has a broad impact and is closely related to human values. Poverty is not only a matter of lack of income or assets, but also includes limited access to education, health, decent housing and opportunities for a prosperous life. Even though many efforts have been made by various parties, poverty remains a complex problem that is difficult to overcome completely. Poverty has existed for a long time and has developed as a reality that is integrated into people's lives. The causes of poverty themselves are very diverse, ranging from limited resources, low access to education, social inequality, to structural problems in the economic and policy fields. Therefore, zakat, infaq and waqf can be a solution to this problem.

Abstract

Abstract

Women, important figures that have existed even from tens of thousands of centuries ago, supporting human life and of course are the main characters who must live until the end of time, without them we cannot continue life, and without them, maybe humans would have become extinct thousands of centuries ago, time back since women became slaves in various parts of the world. Have you thought about protecting women that they are someone who is not okay? Have you ever thought about being a figure who can make them feel safe? Sometimes what has been given by the Prophet makes us remember that the cruel and brutal era has disappeared, there is no coercion and slavery that is as severe as that repeated, and there is no evil that will be created from it, but what? Is this the end of everything? Let them be swept away by the waves while we sail in the ocean there? Since the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, have even become benchmarks as a country, with significant contributions, this is always a topic of discussion whether this is contrary to what was stipulated in the provisions that the Prophet gave. . Jumhur Ulama or the majority of scholars on dress ethics is an Islamic tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation by applying religious values to Islamic scriptural traditions. Where this has become an integral part of human civilization, looking at clothing ethics, it is very reasonable for some Muslims to continue to wear closed clothing. Catcalling or verbal sexual harassment, is a form of communication with perpetrators in the form of comments about their body shape, almost in all regions, even in the digital era, catcalling is almost normalized by Indonesians, because catcalling is considered a form of praise from someone or a lack of awareness of them. women will form threats of evil from someone. With various methods that can research various data looking for a glimmer of light that may help the research make other people rise to become inventors or saviors for others, sometimes this is limited for someone but hopefully all of this can be based on becoming a foundation in becoming a better condition.
