Abstract

Artificial reproduction or known as Artificial Reproductive Technology (ART) is a series of stages that use human egg cells and sperm outside the body or embryos to create pregnancy. This artificial reproduction has various techniques such as egg and sperm donors, In Vitro Fertilization (IVI) Surrogacy, and Gamete Intra Fallopian Transfer (GIFT). In the implementation of artificial reproduction, there are techniques that involve the uterus of women or sperm donors (males) who are not bound by marriage, which has caused controversy. This study aims to determine the Islamic perspective in viewing artificial reproduction related to the validity of legal couples, the prohibition of donors and surrogacy. The research method used is a literature study sourced from books and journals of Var Green with the object of research. The results of the study indicate that artificial reproduction is permitted in Islam as long as it is carried out by a married couple who are legally married, then the activities of sperm or egg donors and surrogacy are forbidden because they are included in adultery and major sins, triggering problems related to the lineage of children and inheritance rights.

Abstract

Cadaver law in Islam is an important issue in the context of medical education and body donation. With advances in organ transplantation technology, ethical and legal debates about cadaver donation have intensified. This research explores Islamic views on the use of cadavers through analysis of Qur'anic and Hadith texts and a review of relevant literature. There are two main views among scholars: the permissive view and the prohibitive view. The permissible view emphasizes the principles of maslahat and helping as long as it does not harm the life of the donor and without financial reward. In contrast, the prohibitionist view emphasizes the honour of the human body and health risks, and stresses that the body is a trust of Allah SWT. The research also highlights the importance of interfaith dialogue to reach consensus on this issue. The findings provide a deep insight into the ethical and legal challenges Muslims face in dealing with the issue of cadaver use in the modern era.

Abstract

Hajj is an obligation that must be performed by a Muslim because it is relatively expensive and drains a lot of energy. In performing Hajj and Umrah, there are conditions and pillars that must be met. If one of the conditions or pillars of Hajj is not fulfilled, then it can cause the Hajj or Umrah to be invalid. One of the pillars of Hajj that must be fulfilled in a pure state of hadats major and minor hadats is tawaf ifadhah. For women who are in a productive period, menstruation is their biggest challenge in order to be able to perform worship to the maximum. Along with the development of technology, science has discovered menstrual cycle regulating drugs that can delay and speed up menstruation that can be used so that women's Hajj remains valid and maximal. This caused a lot of discussion about the law of using the menstrual delay medicine. Basic understanding of the evidence and opinions of the scholars regarding the law on the use of menstrual delay drugs can be instructions on what to do about the problem.

The background of this study is the ongoing debate regarding patient autonomy in the context of medical decisions involving euthanasia. The aim of this research is to analyze the interaction between these three perspectives and their influence on medical decisions related to euthanasia. The method employed is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through documentation from various sources. The findings indicate that euthanasia is prohibited by Indonesian law and rejected by medical ethics and Islamic teachings, despite pressures to respect patient autonomy. Abstract

Islam requires Muslims to fast during the month of Ramadan as a form of obedience to Allah SWT. Fasting has many benefits, both spiritually and health-wise, but there are certain provisions, such as the prohibition of fasting for women who are menstruating. This article discusses the reasons behind the prohibition of fasting for women who are menstruating, both from a theological and medical perspective. From an Islamic perspective, this prohibition is based on the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith, which provide convenience for women by considering their physical and spiritual conditions. From a health perspective, menstruation causes hormonal fluctuations, fluid loss, and increased energy needs, so fasting during this period can worsen physical and emotional symptoms, such as fatigue, cramps, and low blood sugar levels. Thus, the prohibition of fasting during menstruation is not only to maintain spiritual purity, but also to protect women's physical and psychological health. This article aims to explain the relationship between the prohibition of fasting and women's health conditions during menstruation, as well as provide a clear view of the harmony of Islamic teachings with health principles.
