DIEGESIS: Jurnal Teologi Kharismatika
DIEGESIS: Jurnal Teologi Kharismatika is an open-access, peer-reviewed, and nationally accredited journal managed and published by Institut Agama Kristen REAL Batam, Riau Islands, Indonesia. The journal is registered under ISSN 2685-3485 (online) and ISSN 2685-3515 (print) and publishes articles in both Indonesian and English. The primary focus of DIEGESIS is Pentecostal-Charismatic theology, approached from academic, interdisciplinary, and contextual perspectives. Its scope includes biblical and hermeneutical studies, church history, spirituality, and the relationship between theology and issues of society, culture, Christian education, psychology, and religions. DIEGESIS is nationally accredited at SINTA 2 level (Decree No. 295/C/C3/KPT/2026) for the 2025–2029 period. It is published twice a year, in June and December, and welcomes contributions from academics and theological practitioners, both nationally and internationally. All manuscripts that meet the submission requirements are evaluated by expert reviewers through a double-blind review process.

<![CDATA[There has been so much discussion about Divorce among Christians with various theological backgrounds, but for the lay congregation, there is still confusion about the attitude of the Church in general. Of course, this has a less than the optimal effect on the spiritual formation of the church. This may happen because of the lack of understanding Christians about how Christian ethical values can be applied in divorce cases. Moreover, it was added with the uncertainty of some church parties in taking their stand. This paper tries to explain in a simple way about Divorce with all its details, causes, and consequences. This paper also discusses why the church needs to take a stand and show it clearly to the congregation to avoid congregational confusion. This research was made using descriptive qualitative research methods through literature studies. Conclusions are generally drawn based on the inductive method. AbstrakSudah begitu banyak pembahasan mengenai Perceraian di kalangan Kristen dengan berbagai latar Teologi, namun bagi kalangan jemaat awam masih terasa adanya kebingungan mengenai sikap Gereja pada umumya. Tentu saja hal ini memberikan pengaruh kurang optimal dalam pembinaan rohani jemaat. Hal ini mungkin terjadi karena begitu minimnya pemahaman orang-orang Kristen mengenai bagaimana nilai-nilai Etika Kristen dapat diterapkan dalam kasus perceraian. Apalagi ditambah dengan kegamangan beberapa pihak gereja dalam mengambil sikap. Tulisan ini mencoba mengulas secara sederhana mengenai Perceraian dengan segala seluk beluknya, penyebab dan akibat yang ditimbulkan. Tulisan ini juga menbahas mengenai mengapa gereja perlu mengambil sikap dan menunjukkannya secara jelas kepada jemaat agar menghindarkan kebingungan jemaat. Penelitian ini dibuat menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif desktriptif melalui studi literatur. Kesimpulan secara umum diambil berdasarkan metode induktif.]]>

<![CDATA[Every pastor must have principles in carrying out his ministry as the main guide in acting and thinking in carrying out his ministry duties. The pattern of life and character of a pastor in carrying out pastoral ministry greatly affects the life of the congregation, therefore it is necessary to understand how the principles of pastoral care and also the pattern in their application in the ministry itself The use of 1 Peter 5-1:5 is not without reason, this is because there are pastors who are not fully aware of the duties and responsibilities associated with the position as pastor of the congregation, and this is what encourages the author to compile and explore what the Bible says about the principles of shepherding in 1 Peter 5:1-5 and how these principles can be applied in service today. Research method, the author uses a qualitative research method approach to descriptive analysis, with an exposition approach to the text of 1 Peter 5:1-5, namely: first, the shepherd has the responsibility to feed his sheep, serve not because forced and looking for personal gain, and placing oneself as a servant, namely serving the congregation and having a willingness to serve unconditionally and being willing to sacrifice in carrying out services for the benefit of the congregation.AbstrakSetiap gembala harus memiliki prinsip pelayanan sebagai pedoman bertindak dan berpikir da-lam melakukan tugas pelayanannya. Pola hidup dan karakter seorang gembala dalam menjalan-kan pelayanan Pastoral mempengaruhi kehidupan jemaat. Oleh sebab itu sangat diperlukan pe-mahaman tentang prinsip-prinsip pengembalaan. Penggunaan 1 Petrus 5-1:5 bukanlah tanpa ala-san, penulis untuk menyusun dan menggali apa kata Alkitab tentang bagaimana prinsip-prinsip penggembalaan dalam surat 1 Petrus 5:1-5, dan bagaimana prinsip tersebut dapat diterapkan da-lam pelayanan saat ini. Metode penelitian, penulis menggunakan pendekatan metode penelitian kualitatif analisis deskriptif, dengan pendekatan eksposisi pada teks 1 Petrus 5:1-5. Yakni, gem-bala menyadari tanggung jawabnya dalam memberi makan dombanya serta melayani bukan karna terpaksa dan mau menempatkan diri sebagai seorang hamba yaitu melayani jemaat serta memiliki kerelaan hati untuk mengabdi tanpa pamrih dan rela berkorban dalam melakukan pelayanan-pelayanan demi kepentingan jemaatnya.]]>

<![CDATA[Pluralism is a reality that cannot be ignored by the Indonesian people. Pluralism requires everyone to be able to open up and think positively to create a pluralist sense of togetherness and have an attitude of helping each other, especially in the current Covid-19 pandemic situation that has hit the world, including Indonesia. The church is called to be able to carry out social tasks during a crowded society during this Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this paper is to implement the Church's social work in pluralism during the Covid-19 pandemic. This writing uses qualitative methods in data and text analysis, namely paying attention to the symptoms that arise as a result of the covid-19 pandemic; poverty and deprivation so that the Church is involved in social problems to take part in helping and assisting others regardless of ethnic and religious differences by explaining the theological basis in building a pluralist togetherness from the foremost law, the example of Jesus' life and God's love for all human beings. AbstrakKemajemukan merupakan kenyataan yang tidak dapat diabaikan bangsa Indonesia. Kemajemukan menuntut setiap orang untuk dapat membuka diri dan berpikiran positif agar terciptanya rasa kebersamaan yang pluralis serta memiliki sikap saling tolong menolong, terlebih dalam situasi pandemi Covid-19 saat ini yang melanda dunia termasuk Indonesia. Gereja terpanggil untuk dapat melakukan tugas sosial ditengah masyarakat yang mejemuk pada masa pendemik Covid-19 ini. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan tugas sosial Gereja dalam kemajemukkan pada masa pandemic Covid-19. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam analisis data dan teks yakni memperhatikan gejala yang timbul akibat dari pandemi Covid-19; kemiskinan dan kekurangan agar Gereja terlibat permasalahan sosial untuk ambil bagian dalam menolong dan membantu orang lain tanpa melihat perbedaan suku dan agama dengan memaparkan dasar teologis dalam membangun kebersamaan yang pluralis dari hukum yang terutama, teladan hidup Yesus dan kasih Allah terhadap semua manusia.]]>

<![CDATA[AbstractThe research was conducted with the purpose to understand the impact of Church Leadership at Gereja Pentakosta Pusat Surabaya (GPPS) Filadelfia Batam to establish and grow the church from the perspective of Exodus 18:13-26, Batam. Conducting Qualitative Research thru observation, literature, and interview. Research shows Church leadership at GPPS Filadelfia Batam has been implemented as Exodus 18:13-26 and needs to improve for better Church growth. AbstrakPenelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui dampak kepemimpinan Gereja Pentakosta Pusat Surabaya (GPPS) Filadelfia Batam dalam membangun Jemaat berdasarkan Keluaran 18:13-26. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui observasi, kepustakaan dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepemimpinan gereja GPPS Batam telah sesuai dengan Keluaran 18:13-26 namun perlu diperbaiki agar gereja GPPS Batam dapat bertumbuh dengan baik. ]]>

<![CDATA[This paper is intended to describe the psychological dynamics of adolescents living in orphanages. How are the psychological dynamics of adolescents in living their adolescence without direct guidance and affection from their parents. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. From the results of this study, it was concluded that there were significant differences in the psychological dynamics of adolescents living in orphanages because they had to be entrusted by parents with adolescents living in an orphanage because of their own desires. Psychologically, adolescents who are forced to live in orphanages tend to close themselves off from their environment. Meanwhile, adolescents who live in homes because of their own desires, they tend to be more open to their environment. In addition, the age factor when they enter the orphanage environment also affects their psychological dynamics. Those who enter the orphanage when they are children tend to be more adaptable. Conversely, those who enter when they are teenagers tend to have more difficulty adapting. Therefore, it is hoped that the management of the orphanage can understand the psychological dynamics of adolescents and their struggles, so that it can help them to live adolescence properly, even without the presence of their biological parents.]]>

<![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic has challenged churches to migrate to virtual spaces. This certainly affects the spirituality of the Church in double space. Through this article, we will examine 1) How can the church connect spirituality with technology without getting lost in the vortex of the void of the modern technology itself, 2) How can the church navigate this new landscape without losing focus on its God-given mission? This research is descriptive research, using a qualitative approach. This paper aims to frame a new paradigm for a balanced church in interpreting church spirituality in the vortex of technological progress. The results of this study indicate that the theological system in Christianity is a transformational conceptual framework that is always fresh, flexible, and balanced from various dimensions of life and context. A changing situation requires transformative perspectives and practices so that the church does not lose its spirituality and God's mission in the context of society, nation, and state. Keywords: church; reflection; spirituality; technology; the Covid-19 pandemic AbstrakPandemi Covid-19 telah menantang gereja untuk bermigrasi ke ruang virtual. Hal ini tentu mempengaruhi spiritualitas Gereja dalam ruang ganda. Melalui artikel ini akan dikaji 1) Bagaimana gereja dapat menghubungkan spiritualitas dengan teknologi tanpa tersesat dalam pusaran kehampaan teknologi modern itu sendiri, 2) Bagaimana gereja dapat menavigasi lanskap baru ini tanpa kehi-langan fokus pada misi yang diberikan Tuhan? Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk membingkai paradigma baru bagi gereja yang seimbang dalam memaknai spiritualitas gereja dalam pusaran kemajuan teknologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem teologi dalam agama Kristen merupakan kerangka konseptual transformasional yang selalu segar, fleksibel dan seimbang dari berbagai di-mensi kehidupan dan konteks. <![CDATA[The understanding of speaking in tongues as self-edifying is, actually, not only to be practised in the context of communal worship in the church but also can be undertaken in the context of social and secular life. In life relating socially and responding to life, situations require the ability to act in emotional maturity. This study aims to show the functions and benefits of speaking in tongues that can be practised for edifying spiritual maturity. By using the descriptive method of interpretive analysis on 1 Corinthians 14:4, it is found that the use of the Greek word oikodomeo in the text can be interpreted to edify oneself positively, through thinking and acting in maturity. In conclusion, speaking in tongues can be practised to edify emotion intelligently, so that believers can respond the life situations in an elegant and proportionate way. AbstrakPemahaman bahasa roh untuk membangun diri sendiri sejatinya tidak monoton dipraktikkan da-lam konteks ibadah komunal di gereja semata, melainkan dapat dilakukan juga dalam konteks kehidupan sosial dan sekuler. Dalam berelasi secara sosial dan menyikapi situasi kehidupan dibutuhkan kemampuan bertindak yang dewasa secara emosional. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan fungsi dan manfaat bahasa roh yang dapat dipraktikan dalam rangka membangun kedewasaan rohani seseorang. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis interpretatif atas teks 1 Korintus 14:4, didapatkan bahwa penggunaan kata oikodomeo dalam teks tersebut dapat diartikan membangun diri secara positif, melalui kedewasaan berpikir dan bertindak. Kesimpu-lannya, praktik bahasa roh dapat digunakan seseorang untuk membangun emosionalnya secara cerdas, agar dapat menyikapi situasi kehidupan secara elegan dan proporsional.]]>

<![CDATA[The background of this journal is the victim children of marriage disharmony that made their cognitive development not optimal in communication and actualization even can lead to being a false personality. This journal has the purpose to make a model of Cognitive Behavior Therapy based on the Bible and to see the implementation of Cognitive Behavior Therapy based on the Bible to depression children in River Life Community Binh Duong, Vietnam. Use qualitative method by literature study, observation, and interview for data collection and analysis. This journal succeeds to model an approach to Cognitive Behavior Therapy based on Bible and has a proven implementation in the River Life Community to change the lives of many depressed children to be confident and faithful children. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi anak yang sering menjadi korban ketidakharmonisan rumah tangga, yang mengakibatkan pertumbuhan kognitif seorang anak tidak optimal dalam berkomunikasi dan mengaktualisasikan permikiran bahkan dapat menjadi pribadi yang putus asa. Penelitian ini bertujuan membentuk model pendekatan konseling perilaku kognitif berbasis Alkitab dan mengetahui implementasi pendekatan konseling perilaku kognitif berbasis Alkitab terhadap anak yang mengalami keputusasaan hidup di River Life Community, Binh Duong, Vietnam. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif berdasarkan kepustakaan, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitan memberikan bentuk model konseling dengan pendekatan perilaku kognitif berbasis Alkitab dan keberhasilan pemanfaatan konseling dengan pendekatan perilaku kognitif berbasis Alkitab di River Life Community dalam mengubah keputusasaan anak menjadi anak yang berpengharapan dan percaya diri. ]]>

<![CDATA[God's love for the world is the basis for the commandment to make every nation a disciple of Christ. This was emphasized by Christ when He said, “Make disciples of all nations.†The Boti tribe in NTT is part of the target of God's love. They must hear the gospel that will save. The formulation of the problem is what must be done by the evangelist to be able to carry out this great command, especially to the Boti tribe in NTT. The method to answer this problem formulation is to use a qualitative approach by collecting several journals, books, and Bible verses related to the formulation of the problem, especially the Apostle Paul's evangelistic approach, then look for similarities that allow answering this research problem. Contextual evangelism by using elements of local culture is the answer to evangelizing the Boti tribe, thus the gospel can be accepted and transform the lives of the Boti tribe. AbstrakKasih Allah kepada dunia menjadi dasar perintah untuk menjadikan setiap bangsa murid Kristus. Hal ini ditegaskan oleh Yesus ketika Ia berkata, “Jadikanlah semua bangsa murid-Ku.†Suku Boti di NTT adalah bagian dari sasaran kasih Allah. Mereka harus mendengar Injil yang akan menyelamatkan. Rumusan masalahnya adalah, apakah yang harus dilakukan oleh pem-berita Injil untuk dapat melaksanakan perintah agung ini, khususnya kepada suku Boti di NTT. Metode untuk menjawab rumusan masalah ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan cara mengumpulkan beberapa data literatur melalui jurnal, buku, dan nas Alkitab yang berkaitan dengan rumusan masalah, khususnya pendekatan penginjilan Rasul Paulus, kemudian mencari kesamaannya yang memungkinkan bisa menjawab masalah penelitian ini. Penginjilan kontekstual dengan menggunakan elemen-elemen budaya setempat menjadi jawaban untuk melakukan penginjilan kepada kepada suku Boti, dengan demikian Injil dapat diterima dan mentransformasi kehidupan suku Boti. ]]>

<![CDATA[The phrase “love is strong as death†in the text of the Song of Solomon 8:1-14 gives the impression of sensuality and vulgarism. The impression is a metaphor for the relationship in marriage. The method that will be used is through a descriptive qualitative approach followed by a thematic analysis using a literal perspective that pays attention to hermeneutic rules. This study concludes that chapter 8:1-14 comprehensively states that the power of true love is like a seal that claims ownership and figuratively describes the intimate relationship between God and the Israelites. This sensual narrative becomes a metaphor for the bond of Christian marriage. AbstrakFrasa “cinta kuat seperti maut†dalam teks Kidung Agung 8:1-14 memberikan kesan sensualitas dan vulgarisme. Kesan itu sebagai mentafora relasi dalam penikahan. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan makna reflektif secara teologis nas Kidung Agung tersebut dalam konteks relasi pernikahan Kristen. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif interpretatif dengan memperhatikan kaidah hermeneutik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa secara komprehensif pasal 8:1-14 menyatakan kekuatan cinta sejati bagaikan meterai yang mengklaim kepemilikan, serta kiasan keintiman hubungan antara Allah dengan umat Israel. Narasi sensual ini menjadi metafora bagi ikatan pernikahan Kristen. ]]>
