Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged businesses to utilize digital marketing as a strategy to expand their market reach. Through various digital platforms, digital marketing enables businesses to reach consumers more widely and efficiently. This study aims to examine the implementation of digital marketing strategies and product quality management from the perspective of Islamic business ethics at Pramitha Store Solo in 2025. This study uses a qualitative research method. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data obtained was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity was maintained through triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that Pramitha Store Solo has implemented a digital marketing strategy based on Islamic business ethics through the use of social media and marketplace platforms to increase product accessibility and build more intensive communication with consumers. In terms of product quality, the store strives to maintain the quality of materials, design, and production processes in order to meet consumer expectations and satisfaction. However, there are still several obstacles, particularly related to limited human resources and consistency in product quality control. This study is expected to contribute academically to the development of digital marketing studies based on Islamic business ethics and serve as a practical reference for business practitioners.

Abstract

The global halal industry has evolved into a competitive economic ecosystem, with Malaysia and Indonesia emerging as key players. This study aims to analyze the competitive advantages of the halal industry ecosystems in both countries through a comparative approach involving governance, financial infrastructure, and sector performance. Using a qualitative method with secondary data analysis from 2023-2025 strategic reports, this study finds significant divergence in ecosystem maturity. Malaysia, ranked 1st in the IFDI 2024, demonstrates superiority in a centralized governance model through HDC and JAKIM, as well as a dominant Islamic capital market with corporate sukuk outstanding reaching 84.6% of total bonds. In contrast, Indonesia, ranked 4th, adopts a collaborative governance model (KNEKS-BPJPH) focusing on domestic market strengthening and MSME certification. The study concludes that Malaysia’s competitive advantage lies in its mature export-oriented ecosystem and financial integration, while Indonesia’s strength lies in its massive market scale and digitalization potential.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital commerce in Indonesia has intensified risk distribution within marketplace transactions. The high number of consumer complaints regarding product mismatch and refund failures indicates that the issue extends beyond contractual validity and reflects structural imbalance in risk allocation. This study aims to analyze the extent to which TikTok Shop practices realize the principle of hifz al-mal within the framework of maqasid al-shariʿah and to evaluate the justice of risk distribution in digital market systems. Employing a normative-doctrinal approach with a socio-economic analytical orientation, this research is based on a literature review and documentary analysis of twelve TikTok Shop transaction cases from 2024–2025 that were publicly documented and purposively selected based on their relevance to product inconsistency and wealth protection issues. The findings reveal that transaction risks tend to be concentrated on consumers due to information asymmetry, limited pre-transaction verification, and predominantly post-transaction dispute mechanisms. From the perspective of maqasid al-shariʿah, this condition indicates that the realization of hifz al-mal has not been fully integrated into digital market design. Theoretically, this study argues that hifz al-mal functions not merely as an individual legal protection principle but as a foundation of economic justice in the distribution of market benefits and burdens. Disproportionate risk allocation may weaken public trust and digital economic stability; therefore, consumer protection should be understood as a prerequisite for sustainable platform-based economic systems.

Abstract

In the increasingly modern era, the digitization of the banking industry has been developing rapidly. Banks that fail to adapt to technological advancements tend to experience declining competitiveness, which encourages financial institutions to leverage digital technologies in their operations. Along with this development, several emerging financial technologies, such as Securities Crowdfunding (SCF) and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) finance, have gained significant attention. This study analyzes these technologies separately to examine their potential application within Islamic banking. This research employs a quantitative approach using correlation and one-directional analysis to address the research questions. The findings aim to explain Islamic banks’ perspectives on digital transformation and to identify the strategic direction adopted by Islamic banks in their digitalization efforts. The results reveal that, in general, the implementation level of emerging digital technologies in Islamic banking remains relatively low. An exception is mobile banking, which has been widely implemented due to the availability of established public infrastructure. It is expected that the findings of this study will encourage Islamic banks, particularly in Indonesia, to increase capital investment in digital innovation in order to enhance competitiveness with conventional banks and strengthen the sustainability of Islamic banking in the digital era.

Abstract

This paper discusses how Green Sukuk (GS) can be used to fund infrastructure expansion (IE) and sustainable development in Pakistan and specifically renewable energy sector. It also addresses the role played by Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) compliance in enhancing the effects of Islamic finance on sustainability outcomes. The respondents were interviewed face-to-face and comprised 233 managers, investors, and policymakers who are engaged directly in the renewable energy projects and Sukuk financing. The hypothesised relationship among GS, ESG compliance and sustainable infrastructure development were tested by means of structural equation modelling (SEM). The findings show that GS would play a significant role in renewable energy IE, which would help in promoting the sustainable development agenda of Pakistan. Additionally, the compliance with ESG shows a high level of mediation, which improves accountability, transparency, and consistency with global sustainability-related standards. The results show that the potential of GS to lead renewable energy projects might not fully be achieved, unless it is integrated with ESG. The paper emphasises the role of integrating ESG frameworks within GS structures as a way of enhancing investor confidence, boosting international investment and expediting the process of making Pakistan a clean energy nation. This paper can offer a new approach to mobilising green capital and promoting sustainable infrastructure in an emerging economy by connecting Islamic finance and ESG principles to renewable energy markets.

Abstract

This investigation examines the Sustainable Development Goals and their alignment with classical Muslim scholarship, like Ibn Khaldun, Al-Farabi, Al-Ghazali, and Ibn Sina. The contemporary academic discourse is largely secular, with strands focusing decades on Islamic finance, for example, or maqāsid al-sharīʿah. However, the literature on Islamic classical thought and modern development is very rare. Using the narrative review, the author has engaged in primary and secondary social justice, human development, economic and finance ethics, governance, and the environment from the classical manuscripts and from Scopus and Google Scholar, to social justice, human development, and the environment that is secondary in the literature. The results of classical social scholars in their discourse have emphasized the social development goals of justice, equity, education, public welfare, balanced governance, and environmental moral governance. Ibn Khaldun’s concepts of ‘umran and ‘asabiyyah, Al-Farabi’s vision of the virtuous city, political theodemocracy of Al-Ghazali, ethical economics, and holistic health of Ibn Sina with the environment offer an ethical vision for inclusive and sustainable development. The mapping of these themes has signified that classical Islamic thought is congruent with the contemporary development of public policies in the rest of the Muslim world, especially with those pillars of social development. This research enhances the conversation regarding development by detailing the historical perspectives of Islam and distilling actionable lessons for modern governance, education, social welfare, and sustainability.
