Abstract

This research initiated from the problems there are low quality of chemistry teacher comprehend in academic knowledge. The main goals of this research was to comprehend what model of ”Curriculum Materials” (CM) and “Amalgamation Teacher Knowledge” (ATK) educative framework were needed by chemistry teacher?. The research conducted by using descriptive method which express phenomenon are there him. The subject of this research were the Candidate of Chemistry Teachers which out-going in program of Profession Training and Education (PTE) at Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education, Indonesia University of Education and Chemistry Teachers from Group Discussion of Chemistry Teacher (GDCT) at Karawang. The data were collected through questionnaires and analysis form of teacher academic needs. The data analysis technique worked through qualitative and quantitative techniques. Based on the empirical and theoretical analysis the research findings which resulted were: (1) The CM with ATK model was relevance with academic chemistry teacher needs, this model illustrated the integration of essential concepts of curriculum, chemistry subject matter, chemistry teaching, professional development of chemistry teacher, and academic skills of chemistry teacher through “key formulas”; (2) the CM structure that relevance for chemistry teacher academic needs was included the objectives formulation, subject matter description, questions, training tasks, and answer keys; (3) the CM content that relevance for chemistry teacher academic needs was included the essential concepts of curriculum, chemistry content, chemistry teaching, professional development of chemistry teacher, and academic skills of chemistry teacher; (4) the educative framework that effectively for using CM was guidance and training through the mechanism of “absorbing, doing, interacting, and reflecting” (ADIR).

Abstract

Melihat telah mendunianya sistim informasi berbasis web, isu pemanfaatannya perlu diarahkan pada pengembangan informasi pendidikan sains. Namun, disayangkan bahwa hanya sebagian kecil dari komunitas perguruan tinggi yang mampu memanfaatkannya yang kiranya merupakan kesenjangan yang perlu dijembatani. Makalah ini berpandangan bahwa sifat dasar fleksibilitas hiperteks kiranya mampu menjembatani kesenjangan ini. baik dalam menangani keragaman keinginan maupun kemampuan pengguna. Sifat dasar ini meningkat jika proses pengembangan ilmu berdasarkan wacana argumentatif diterapkan terhadap hiperteks. Hiperteks seperti ini diharapkan mampu berfungsi adaptif terhadap bagaimana pengguna menangani dan mengembangkan pengetahuannya. Suatu ilustrasi pengembangan hiperteks untuk siswa SMU ditampilkan sebagai upaya awal.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan tes diagnostik two-tier berbasis piktorial yang dapat mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit, atau disebut Tes Diagnostik Miskonsepsi Larutan Elektrolit dan Nonelektrolit (TDM-LENON). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Development and Validation. Validasi butir soal meliputi validitas isi dan reliabilitas. Berdasarkan validitas isi, 19 butir soal dinyatakan valid dengan nilai CVR (Content Validity Ratio) untuk masing-masing butir soal sebesar 1. Berdasarkan uji reliabilitas, diperoleh 18 soal yang secara keseluruhan memiliki nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,706 yang menunjukkan bahwa tes yang dikembangkan masuk ke dalam kategori dapat diterima. Butir soal yang telah memenuhi kriteria validitas isi dan reliabilitas diaplikasikan kepada 34 siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil aplikasi tersebut, teridentifikasi miskonsepsi yang yang dialami siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit, dengan miskonsepsi bahwa semua elektrolit merupakan senyawa ion adalah miskonsepsi yang paling banyak terjadi (64,7%). ABSTRACTThe aim of of this research was to develop two-tier pictorial-based diagnostics test to identify students’ misconception about the concept of electrolyte and non-electrolyte, or Diagnostics Test for Misconception about Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution (TDM-LENON). Research method was Development and Validation. Questions were validated its content validity and reliability. Based on content validity, 19 questions were deemed valid with 1 Content Validity Ratio (CVR) value. In terms of its reliability, 18 questions were deemed reliable with Cronbach’s Alpha value 0,706. All validated questions were applied to 34 students in one of Senior High Schools in Bandung. Based on this application results, students’ misconceptions regarding electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution were discovered, with misconception that all electrolyte are ionic compound was found as common misconception in the students (64,7%).

Abstract

ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian untuk menganalisis kemunculan keterampilan laboratorium mikrobiologi melalui program pembelajaran mikrobiologi berbasis proyek inkuiri (P2MBPI) mini-riset. Penelitian melibatkan sejumlah mahasiswa semester IV Program Studi Biologi di salah satu LPTK Negeri di kota Bandung (n=33), yang mengikuti perkuliahan mikrobiologi. Program pembelajaran dirancang dalam setting laboratorium berbasis proyek inkuiri kelompok (free inquiry labs). Data penelitian dijaring melalui laporan mini-riset, presentasi oral dan poster serta wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa P2MBPI mini-riset setiap kelompok memberikan kontribusi terhadap kemunculan keterampilan laboratorium mikrobiologi yang cukup beragam. Hal ini selaras dengan tahapan proyek mulai dari pemilihan masalah dan topik mini-riset, sampai pengambilan keputusan proyek yang dilaksanakan oleh kelompok. Secara umum ruang lingkup topik proyek mini-riset mencakup empat bidang, yaitu mikrobiologi pertanian (tanah), mikrobiologi lingkungan (air), mikrobiologi kesehatan, dan mikrobiologi pangan. Hasil analisis kemunculan jenis keterampilan spesifik lab mikrobiologi dari laporan, presentasi oral, dan poster, serta wawancara menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar kelompok menunjukkan persentase kemunculan jenis keterampilan yang tinggi (100)%), yaitu pada keterampilan bekerja aseptik, keterampilan mengisolasi mikroba, sterilisasi, dan menggunakan mikroskop. Kemunculan jenis keterampilan dengan persentase sedang (75%) pada keterampilan identifikasi dan kultivasi mikroorganisme. Selanjutnya berdasarkan hasil wawancara mendalam pada 7 orang mahasiswa, menyatakan bahwa program pembelajaran mikrobiologi berbasis proyek inkuiri mini-riset ini juga sangat berarti, disamping mendapatkan keterampilan lab mikrobiologi, juga dapat membekali keterampilan meneliti (research skill) mahasiswa biologi. Dengan demikian P2MBPI mini-riset ini, perlu terus dikembangkan karena memberikan konstribusi yang berarti dalam membekali mahasiswa calon ilmuwan biologi bekerja di laboratorium dan melakukan penelitian biologi.ABSTRACTEmergence of specific laboratory skills in microbiology through inquiry-based project “mini-research” has been analysed. The analysis involved the 4th semester university students of Biological Study Program (n = 33), who were attended the microbiology course. Course program was designed in a group free inquiry laboratory setting. The research data was collected through a mini-research reports, oral and poster presentations and in depht-interview. The results showed that the inquiry project of each group identified give diverse contribution to their microbiology laboratory skills. This is consistent with the stages of the project ranging from selection problems and mini-research topics to the decision making of projects undertaken by the group. In general, scope of the topic of a mini-research project covered four areas,as follow, agriculture, environmental, medical, and food microbiology. Moreover, the results of data also indicated that most groups showed occurrence percentage of high skill (100)%) on aseptic work skills, microbes isolation, sterilization, and operating a microscope, whereas skills on identification and cultivation of microorganisms exhibited moderate percentage (75%). However, low percentage (37.5%) of laboratory skills were on inoculation and enumeration of microorganisms. Furthermore, based on the interviews, students argued that the microbiology project-based learning program was meaningful to improve not only the laboratory skills, but also biological research skills for biology students. Thus, the mini-research project should be developed in the class for providing biological students work in laboratories and conduct the microbiological research.

Abstract

Abstraksi Reflektif (Reflective Abstraction) adalah suatu konsep yang dikenalkan oleh Piaget untuk menjelaskan konstruksi struktur logika matematika seseorang dalam pengembangan kognitif pada saat mempelajari suatu konsep. Tujuan penulisan makalah ini untuk menjelaskan konsep Abstraksi Reflektif yang merupakan suatu alat yang berguna untuk mempelajari berfikir matematika tingkat tinggi, dan akan memunculkan suatu teori dasar yang mendukung dan berkonstribusi pada pemahaman kita tentang pemikiran dan bagaimana kita dapat menolong siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam hal ini.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian Research and development (RD) ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian kinerja berupa tugas (task) dan rubrik (rubric) untuk menilai kinerja siswa pada praktikum titrasi asam basa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA di salah satu SMA di Kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi, format observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Uji validasi dan reliabilitas menunjukan bahwa instrumen penilaian kinerja yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas sebesar 0,84 dan 0,91. Hasil penggunaan instrumen penilaian kinerja ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen ini dapat mengungkap kinerja siswa dalam praktikum titrasi asam basa sehingga kinerja dapat dikategorikan menjadi sangat baik, baik, kurang, atau tidak melakukan setiap tahapan praktikum. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen penilaian kinerja yang dikembangkan memenuhi syarat sebagai alat evaluasi yang baik untuk menilai kinerja siswa pada praktikum titrasi asam basa.ABSTRACTThe aim of this Research and Development (RD) study was to develop performance assesment instrument in a form of task and rubric to evaluate students’ performance in acid-base titration practicum. Subjects were eleventh-grader science students in one of senior high schools in Bandung. Instruments were validation sheets, observation format, and interview guidelines. Validation and reliability test showed that the performance assesment instrument validity and reliability score were 0.84 and 0.91, respectively. The application of the instrument showed that students’ performance can be uncovered in which it can be categorized as excellent, good, poor, or did not carry out every practicum steps. It can be concluded that the performance assesment instrument can be used as a good assessment tools in evaluating students’ performance in acid-base titration practicum.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPenelitian pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa kuliah lapangan Ekologi Umum belum memiliki model penilaian yang dapat secara optimal menilai semua kegiatan mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan "model penilaian" dan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dengan mencoba model dalam kegiatan perjalanan ekologi bidang umum Metode penelitian untuk penelitian kami adalah metode penelitian campuran dengan desain eksploratif. Penilaian dilakukan dari tahap persiapan, selama perjalanan Ekologi Umum lapangan, dan pasca-field trip. kinerja siswa ditentukan oleh diri sendiri dan peer-assessment dengan skor kisaran 0-4. Setelah kunjungan lapangan selesai, pendapat siswa yang terjaring oleh kuesioner dan wawancara. mayoritas siswa ( 90%) menyatakan bahwa "model penilaian" yang berusaha optimal adalah untuk menilai kinerja siswa dan kemampuan kerja ilmiah, meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran; mempengaruhi rasa tanggung jawab, interaksi sosial , kepercayaan siswa lain, dan komitmen untuk melakukan pekerjaan yang lebih baik siswa mengaku. memahami kriteria penilaian, tetapi ada beberapa siswa yang tidak suka dengan cara ini dan diasumsikan rekan-rekan mereka tidak cukup kompeten untuk menilai, selain masalah "keadilan ", kritik mengurangi rasa percaya diri, dan merasa buruk menilai teman sendiri. Singkatnya, model penilaian cukup efektif dalam menilai kinerja siswa dalam bidang ekologi umum berbasis inkuiri. Hal ini masih perlu dimodifikasi dalam rubrik penilaian dan strategi penilaian.ABSTRACTPreliminary research indicates that General Ecology field trip does not have a model of assessment that can be optimally assess all student activities. The purpose of this study was to develop a "model of assessment" and to try to determine the effectiveness of the models in ecology field trip activities common research method for our research is mixed research methods to the design of exploratory. Assessment was carried out from the preparation stage, during General Ecology field trip, and postfield trip. student's performance is determined by self-and peer-assessment with a score range of 0-4. After the site visit was completed, students' opinions were netted by questionnaires and interviews. majority of students ( 90%) stated that "assessment model" which seeks optimal is to assess student performance and scientific work ability, improve student engagement in the learning process; affect sense of responsibility, social interaction, trust other students, and a commitment to do the job the better students admitted. understand the assessment criteria, but there are some students who do not like this way and assumed their colleagues are not competent enough to judge, in addition to the problem of "fairness", criticism reduces confidence, and feel bad judge his own friends. In short, the assessment model is quite effective in assessing student performance in the areas of general ecology-based inquiry. It still needs to be modified in the assessment rubrics and assessment strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan program pembelajaran dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan calon guru kimia di bidang penilaian. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain Research and development yang dilakukan dengan empat tahap, yaitu 1) studi pendahuluan; 2) perancangan program; 3) pengembangan program; dan 4) validasi program. Studi pendahuluan dilakukan pada awal kegiatan penelitian dengan menggunakan berbagai sumber di lapangan dan kajian kepustakaan. Perancangan program dilakukan dengan menyiapkan program pembelajaran berupa silabi mata kuliah, SAP, bahan ajar, media, dan alat evaluasi. Program yang telah dirancang kemudian dikembangkan dengan cara judgment, ujicoba dan revisi. Dari hasil pengembangan kemudian akan diperoleh produk hipotetik program yang diuji efektivitasnya.Hasil Pengembangan program dan perangkatnya menunjukkan bahwa program hipotetik memiliki perangkat tes dengan rata-rata validitas sedang, reliabilitas tinggi, tingkat kesukaran sedang dan daya beda berfungsi dengan baik.

Abstract

Primary school science teachers’ competencies were analyzed in this paper. The importance of science teachers’competencies in teaching science is underlined and also the existing primary school science teachers’ competency of subject matter knowledge (SMK);methodology; laboratory utilization; planning of lesson and implementation of the plan and competency of formative continuous assessment were studied. While schools were selected using purposive sampling, the data sources were selected through random sampling techniques. Data was collected through close-ended and open-ended questionnaires, focused group discussion, classroom observation with rating scale and  semi-structured interview. The data were analyzed by statistical analysis using chi-square, one way ANOVA, f-test, and Tukey’s HSD test. The result of the research revealed that primary school science teachers in the sample schools were found less competent in all the areas. They lack fundamental competence in some areas under investigation. Based on this some recommendations were forwarded.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian mengenai upaya peningkatan dan pembinaan keprofesionalan guru bersertifikat pendidik melalui implementasi Lesson Study pada satuan pendidikan menengah pertama, Yayasan Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah (YPDM) Pasundan, Kota Administratif Cimahi, telah dilaksanakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi kebijakan sertifikasi guru terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru, serta untuk mengetahui secara mendalam faktor-faktor penyebab belum efektifnya implementasi kebijakan sertifikasi guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah Metode Reseseach and Development (R D) yang mencakup kegiatan pemetaan SMP Pasundan di wilayah Kotip Cimahi yang memiliki guru-guru bersertifikat pendidik; pengukuran kompetensi guru bersertifikat pendidik melalui tes tertulis; identifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kompetensi guru melalui pengamatan, pemantauan dan evaluasi diri; analisis data, serta pelaporan. Instrumen penelitian divalidasi melalui pemeriksaan dan pertimbangan pakar (judgement expert) serta uji coba implementasi kepada guru-guru bersertifikat pendidik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Pasundan I, II dan III Cimahi dengan subjek 28 orang guru bersertifikat pendidik, pada tahun 2012. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kompetensi guru bersertifikat pendidik di SMP Pasundan wilayah Kotip Cimahi relatif baik, dengan skor rata-rata IPA 56,78; Matematika 78,33; PKn 50,50; IPS 60,00; Bahasa Indonesia 50,00;dan Bahasa Inggris 46,87. Temuan didapatkan bahwa kompetensi guru sebagai tolok ukur keprofesionalan guru harus senantiasa dibina dan ditingkatkan. ABSTRACTResearch and development efforts to increase the professionalism of teacher educators certified through the implementation of Lesson Study in units of secondary education, Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF) Pasundan, City Administrative Cimahi, have been conducted. The purpose of this study were to determine the effect of teacher certification policy implementation to increase teachers' competence, and to investigate in depth the factors that cause the ineffectiveness of teacher certification policy implementation. The method used is the method Reseseach and Development (R D) which includes mapping SMP Pasundan in the Kotip Cimahi who have teachers certified educators; measuring teacher competence certified educator through a written test; identifying the factors that influence teachers' competence through observation, monitoring and self-evaluation; analyzing data, and reporting. Validated research instrument through examination and consideration of expert (expert judgment) as well as the implementation of the pilot teachers certified educators. The experiment was conducted in junior Pasundan I, II and III Cimahi with 28 subjects certified teacher educator, in 2012. Results of this study demonstrate competence certified teacher in junior high school educator Pasundan Cimahi Kotip region is relatively good, with an average score of 56.78 IPA; Mathematics 78.33; Civics 50.50; IPS 60.00; Indonesian 50.00, and Language UK 46.87. The findings showed that the teachers' competence as a measure of teacher professionalism must always be fostered and enhanced.
