Introduction. UD. Kencana Gading Gejayan Condong Catur, begun his work in coconut business, than he thought to use the water of coconut as object of his business too. Now, the production of decoco is not enough for the market, because he slices it with knife. It makes slowly, and the product is not reguler in shape and the size.This program has an objective to make a slice device to a pieces of decoeo tobe small one regularly, clean,wealthy, easy to do, and rapidly, so the partner will be able to raise his product.This Program offers the slice method with electrical slice device. It may slice more reguler, easy, quickly, and made of stainless steel sheet, the processes include: survey the appropriate material, the size of decoco, the condition of shop and what' needed b;: the shop, to design the slice device, to plan the processes, to get ready the material and the tools, to make the slicer, to test and to make it more better, to get partner's opinions, and to complete the design.Conclusion. This Program helps UD. Kencana Gading to get a slicer that will raise the product of decoco, from 250 to 600 kg in one day, in reguler size that is 1.2 ern, to gain the added values Rp 1.919.775, in every month. The slicer has capacity]200 kg in a day, powered by electrical motor 0,25 hp, 1420 rpm, easy to handling and to maintenance.

This training was conducted because there were some problems thatexisted in the field. The first problem is the lack of teachers’ competence indeveloping Batik Design for the instruction of local content skills atschools. The second problem is the existence of Bantul Regent DecreeNumber 5 a year 2010 regarding batik as compulsory local content fromelementary to high schools in Bantul Regency. The third problem is theposition of Bantul which is very potential as the center of Batik craft thatobliges schools to take part in developing and preserving Batik culture.From the aforementioned problems, the teachers of cultural arte and skill inSMA 1 Kretek Bantul further proposed a demand to conduct training onBatik Making to develop knowledge regarding design, instructionalstrategy, and additional equipment of Batik. The purpose of this training areto develop the teachers’ insight and skill in designing Batik with the mediumof clothes and wood using indigosol and naptol color, to find out theproduct of Batik craft made by cultural art and skill teachers in all seniorhigh schools in Bantul regency. The first method used in this training ispresentation; to present the insight in developing Batik design, learningstrategy of batik skill and batik finishing. The second method is demonstration,to visualize the technique of making batik from pattern, applyingwax, coloring, and wax disposal. The practical method of batik making isstarted from making pattern, applying wax, and coloring until it becomes afinished batik work. The teachers who participated in this training were ableto follow this program and understand the material presented by the teamwell. They were able to create batik work and it is expected that they canapply the Batik Instruction using the proper method according to theirchoice. Most of the training participants were weak in terms of developingbatik design and in keeping the tidiness of the wax dipper (cantingan) work.The Batik made by teachers was beautiful and it can be used as aninstruction media for creating art, as well as art work and scientific work.Teachers are expected to be able to implement the methods of batikinstruction by observing, imitating, and developing to create Batik craft. Theprovision of example along with the model as instructional media should notonly be imitated by students, but also to motivate them to create art.

The target of implementing a public service program was giving themanagement and teaching staffs of taman pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPA) and taman kanak-kanak Al-Qur'an (TKA), schools for elementary school and kindergarten students' education in the Al-Quran, knowledge of and insight in applying computer technology in conducting the teaching-learning process and improving their skills and abilities in operating computer-assisted program packages of education in the Al-Qur'an.The methods used in the activities of the public service programwere, among others, lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions,demonstrations, and practice, the activities being essentially training activi ties enabling participants to acquire knowledge and skills. The training ma terials delivered were related to the topics of introduction to computer ope ration based on the Windows system of operation, the program package of the Holy Qur'an, and Islamic children's education.The training activities have resulted in the TPA and TKA manage ment and teaching staffs participating in the activities becoming better in their knowledge of and insight in applying computer technology in the course of improving the quality of the teaching-learning process of readingthe Al-Qur'an and writing texts taken from it in the educational institutions where they work. They have indeed been greatly in need of the training ma terials. Their skills and abilities in operating computer-assisted program packages of education in the Al-Qur'an have also become better than those possessed before participating in the training. Evaluation on the results of the public service program indicates that on the average the participants' knowledge and skills have risen from 34.44% into 78.66%, which implies an increase of 44.22%.Keywords: computer technology, reading and writing texts taken/rom theAl-Qur'an

Mask product and wood batik of Bobung havecan penetrate market export and domestic market. For the market of exportingBrasilia, Singapore, India, Canada, Belgia, Malaysia, Australian,Japan, New Selandia, and America is export market from mask product andwood batik of Bobung. Solo, Bali, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, Bogor,Batam and Jakarta is domestic market from mask product and wood batik ofBobung. This IBM program aimed: (1) accompany and guide a group of microbusiness productive economic country society in developing production partner I and partner II; (2) create a partnership sinergy that condusive between society and university. General cases that occur in partner are: (a) fund limitation, market ing, and media production that produce a lot of products, (b) don’t have dry oven at rainy season, (c) lack of skill in doing diversification product, (d) don’t do good accounting report management, (e) don’t have label and hausehold food industry. AbstractThe objectives of community service activity through scientific writingworkshop for vocational high school (SMK) teachers are: 1) to increaseprofessionalism development of SMK teachers to fulfill promotion requirement;2) to increase capability of making and presentation scientific writingproduct; and 3) to produce scientific writing product that ready to publish.The activities of scientific writing workshop was done by 54 teachersof SMKN 2 Godean. Workshop activities were done by using method:1) discourse about scientific writing, scientific writing ethics, scientific writingtechnique, language in scientific writing, reference scanning throughinternet, making scientific writing, and self-editing technique; 2) discussionat every matter submitted, participant can dialogue and discuss with team;3) task to make scientific product which to obtain certificate requirement.Making of scientific product was conducted by tutorial.The community service activity through scientific writing workshopcan be concluded successfully. It can be showed from positive response ofparticipant from target of 65 participants can be realized become 54 participantsor 83% at workshop implementation. Besides that the teachers getsattachment of knowledge and skill in reference scanning through internetaccess. However, target of the many scientific product that ready to publishis unattainable because the teachers have not motivation to write scientificproduct and the many activities of teacher in school.Keywords: profesionalisme, teachers, workshop, and scientific writing

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul Pengembangan Hasil-hasil Penelitian untuk Pembinaan Pendidikan dan Masyarakat melalui Pengabdian Kaji Tindak Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Matematika dan IPA SDN Gejayan, Perumnas I, II dan V Condong Catur Serta Minomartani II dan III bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan Program Pembinaan Guru oleh Tim SD Mitra untuk diimplementasikan secara nyata dalam kegiatan PBM di kelas untuk Matematika dan IPA.Metode pelaksanaan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini diawali dengan kegiatan sarasehan pad a tahun 1998 untuk identifikasi permasalahan dengan prioritas siswa kelas IV, V dan VI yang ditindaklanjuti dengan perencanaan program untuk mengatasi permasalahan yaitu peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa dengan cara Ulangan Umum Bersama (UUB) bagi semua siswa kelas VI SD Mitra yang dilakukan oleh para guru untuk bidang studi matematika dan IPA yang di-EBTANAS-kan. Uji coba soal-soal yang disusun oleh para guru untuk bidang studi matematika dan IPA bahan kelas IV, V dan VI, yang ditindaklanjuti dengan analisis hasil belajar dan altematifremidiasinya.Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa hasil tes UUB para siswa kelas VI SD Mitra untuk matematika nilai rata-ratanya adalah 58,51 dengan nilai terendah 20 dan tertinggi 98 dari kisaran nilai 0-100. Secara rinei nilai rata-rata matematika untuk bahan kelas IV adalah 64,55, kelas V adalah 59,11 dan kelas VI adalah 58,51. Adapun nilai IPA rata-rata 67,80 dengan nilai terendah 30 dan tertinggi 100 untuk kisaran nilai 0-100. Nilai IPA untuk bahan kelas IV rata-rata 64,85, bahan kelas V adalah69,70 sedangkan bahan kelas VI dengan nilai rata-rata 67,80. Hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan program UUB SD Mitra tersebut tampak mengisyaratkanperlunya remediasi bagi beberapa siswa yang belum berhasil dengan baik, untuk itu maka diperkenalkan alternatifremediasinya.

The purposes of this program are (1) to motivate student becoming entrepeneurs at the Javanesse wedding traditional ceremony package, (2) to increase the students’ entrepeneurship knowledge at the Javanesse wedding traditional ceremony, (3) to create connection between higher education, especially Javanesse Study Program of the Yogyakarta State Universty, and business partners of the Javanesse wedding traditional ceremony package, and (4) to increase the students’ and the lectures’ capabilities, skills, and practical experiences at conducting of the Javanesse wedding traditional ceremony package. This program has carried out at three stages, those are (1) an upgrading of the development of Javanesse wedding tradisional ceremony package, including MC materials, Javanesse speakers, the Javanesse cultural knowlege, the experiences of conducting wedding package, discussion and practice of determining of the package and suplying clothing, and the knowladge of the entrepreneurship and business operational, (2) conducting of the training at Griya Rias Wijayaningtyas, and (3) work shop of structuring the wedding business plan and simulation of wedding ceremony pakcage. The result of this program are (1) all of the participants have motivation to wrestle with the entrepreneurs of the Javanesse wedding package ompletely or partial, and as an individually or agroup, (2) all of the participants have busness operational plans at the Javanesse wedding package, (3) there is a conection between higher education, especially Javanesse Study Program of Yogyakarta State University, and business partners of the Javanesse wedding traditional ceremony package, and (4) the participants of the students and the lectures have improved their skills, especially in practical skill of the Javanesse wedding ceremony
