Abstract

Koperasi Sahabat Sejahtera as the division of post-harvest processing and marketing Appoli face some productions problems namely unavailability ofproduction equipment ranging from the drying process up to packaging. Postharvest equipment owned is the result of the hire from Tani Makmurusing system-processing services. This condition affected the efficiency of the business, the quantity of cooperative's income and the quantity of cooperative members. In order to overcome these problems some community services conducted as follows: (1) The introduction of post harvest handling technologies include: grading tool and blower mounted on a grading tool, table sorting, pallet, digital scales, water tested MD 7822; (2) increasing marketing quality through producing of a media campaign and improving the quality of the packages. The findings are Appoli able to increase production capacity and enhance its role in the development of organic rice and highly motivated to promote organic agriculture and increase farmers' income

Abstract

uaru industri  supaya  dapat  hidup dan berkembang   sangat tergantung  dari produkjadi    yang dihasilkan  industri  itu. Hasil.C!ksi  yang berkualitas   baik  dan dapat  memenuhi  tuntutan  pasar  dan memenuhi  selera  konsumen,   maka  industri  itu akan_    ,- hidup dan berkembang. Salah satu industri genteng di wilayah Sleman yaitu industri genteng Super Mas mengalami  suatu masalah yaitu produksinya~ rusak/pecah   saat diangkut  ke tungku  pembakar.  Hal itu disebabkan   ketika tanah  liat dicetak  menjadi  genteng,  kadar  air~  .  andung oleh tanah liat bahan untuk genteng  terlalu tinggi yaitu mencapai  40%. Jika kadar air bahan genteng  dikurangi, "'. ahan itu menjadi  agak keras  dan sulit dicetak  pad a mesin  pres konvensional   yang  menggunakan   sistem  uJir. :"ro1baga Pengabdian  pada Masyarakat  Universitas  Negeri  Yogyakarta  melalui tim peneliti  tanggap  akan masalah  tersebut gga dijalin  kerja  sarna antar  pihak  industri  dan LPM  untuk  memecahkan   masalah  tersebut  yaitu  dengan  cara membuat- pres hidrolik  pencetak  gent eng dengan  dana dari Proyek  Peningkatan   Penelitian  dan Pengabdian   Kepada  Masyarakat..~   program  vucer.  Mesin  pres  hidrolik   ini mempunyai   panjang   1850 mrn, lebar   110 mm,  tinggi   1600  mm,  satu  buah,n, beban  kapasi tas  30 ton.  I buah  pompa  tekanan  rendah  dan  1 buah  pompa  tekanan  tinggi.  Karena  mesin  pres  ini_........u;."".j gaya  pres yang  tinggi  maka  dapat  digunakan   untuk  mencetak   tanah  liat bahan  untuk  genteng  berkadar   air kurang% dan untuk  mempercepat   produksi  dipasang  3 buah  cetakan.  Mesin  pres ini dapat  memproduksi   genteng  75 sampai'-:.i:l 100 buah  per jam.  Kualitas  genteng  yang  dihasilkan  oleh  mesin  hidrolik  ini sang at baik,  ketahanan   terhadap  beban sekitar   150 kg dan  menurut   SII masuk  pada  mutu  kelas  l. Jika  bahan  mempunyai   kadar  air bahan  35%  dan tekanan~          =  :. ang diperlukan  hidrolik   100 kg/ern'.

Abstract

AbstractThe goal of this water safety training is to give basic skill and knowledgeabout water safety for 25 members of lifeguard in Special Province ofJogjakarta.The method that was used for this training were workshop, discussion,simulation, training in water, and evaluation test method. Evaluationwith direct observation consists of attention, willingness, enthusiasm to thematery who was given by society servants team (PPM), and post test for thelast. Then, evaluation in the pool with several activities that were helpingdrawning victims by equipment and no equipment, giving mouth to mouthbreath, cardiopolmunory respiration, bouancy test, diving test, and swimmingrescue. This training followed by 25 Jogjakarta’s lifeguards and theywere 2 from Sleman, 2 from Bantul, 8 from Jogja city, 6 from Gunungkiduland 5 FIK’s students.The result of discusion are (1) there are many swimming pool thatdon’t have rescue equipment like lifejacket, rope, stick, and wheel. (2) thereis less knowledge about rescue swimming technique for the lifeguard inJogjakarta., (3) there are many swimming pool which have no life guard, (4)we have high rate entusiasm of participant, and (5) we also have goodmanagement in swimming pool.Keywords: water accident, water safety, and life guard

Abstract

Tujuan  kegiatan  ini  adalah  meningkatkan  pengetahuan  kewirausahaan,  keterampilan  praktis  dalam~ngelola     usaha   Koperasi  Mahasiswa  serta  mendorong  meningkatkan  dan   menciptakan   keterkaitan  dancewaspadaan  antara perguruan tinggi dengan dunia usaha khususnya Koperasi Mahasiswa.Pelaksanaan program magang kewirausahaan Pelatihan Manajemen Usaha Koperasi Mahasiswa dilakukan melalui    kegiatan pembekalan tentang bidang usaha Kopma, pembekalan kewirausahaan, magang dan penyusunan roposal   rencana usaha. Pembekalan diberikan oleh para praktisi dan dosen UNY kemudian diteruskan kegiatanagang di Kopma UNY dan Kopma lAIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.Adapun hasil kegiatannya adalah : (a) perserta magang 100% (peserta ada  15 orang mahasiswa) telahrergugah minatnya untuk melakukan usaha rnandiri; (b) peserta magang 100% telah membuat rencana usaha; (c) peserta magang 60% telah mendirikan usaha di wilayahnya dan (d) mahasiswa peserta magang dan dosen telah meningkat  keterampilannya khususnya keterampilan dalam mengelola usaha.

Abstract

The main purpose of PPM activity is after  finishing the training students are expected to be able to practice the knowledge and their capabilities in using useless goods as economics learning media as strategy to build the spirit of businessman to teacher and students. There is a special purpose: (a) giving training to economics teacher concerning the use of useless  goods  as  economics  learning  media;  (b)  giving  supplies  and capability  in designing  the  use  of useless goods as  economics  learning media; and (c) giving supplies and capability in using useless goods as economics learning media which is a strategy to build the spirit of businessman in teacher and students. The method of PPM activity used to reach   the target is speech, simulation, and giving an assignment. The result which is reached through PPM activity is (a) Most of participants who have a positive attitude toward training  implementation. This case can be showed from the observation result that  most of serious teachers (95%) and enthusiastic; (b) It is looked from the understanding level toward learning material to show that 100 % participants understand in training material. This case is seemed at the time it  is given assignment to design useless goods from 7 groups, 100% is successful to develop useless goods. The understanding and mastering of teacher toward training material, although there are 2 media groups he or she develops but they are not appropriate to be sold; (c) It is looked from the capability of RPP development by using media of useless goods to show that from 7 groups, there are 6 groups collecting RPP, 1 group do not it; (d) It is looked from the capability to apply in the class showed by assignment the practice of using useless goods as learning media, there are 6 groups do it; and (e) It is looked from the spirit of businessman shows that all participants  are  seemed  to  be  enthusiastic trained  to  sell  product  result which is made of useless goods have been developed. The conclusion of this activity is the activity of dedication to people can  be  made  as  a  means  of  developing  teacher  capability  to  do  new innovations in the case of using and developing useless goods as economics learning media in the class, beside that teacher can do the refreshing and new ideas in learning. It is expected that in the next budget year LPM still facilitates same PPM activity with most of target which is wider so the increase of quality in learning can be felt by more schools and students.

Abstract

The aims of this activity are to: (1) disseminating the results of researchfrom a team of stewards on the development of integrated science worksheetsguided inquiry based to develop thinking skills and scientific attitude in order tosupport the implementation of Kurikulum 2013; (2) improving the skills ofteachers in guiding students to form a concept (concept formation); (3) improvingtheskills of teachers in inquiry approach in worksheet; (4) improving thecreativity of teachers in developing worksheet. The target participant of this activity is 34 teacher members of MGMPIPA SMP/MTs Magelang regency. This activity is done in three stages, includingthestage of theoretical training, practical training phase and the evaluationphase. The methods used are: modeling (simulation), lectures, discus-sions, andworkshops. The results showed that the overall activity of PPM activity has beensuccessful in reaching the target activity. Most of the participants are alreadyskilled in guiding students to form a concept (concept formation) IPA. Mostparticipants also been able to apply the guided inquiry approach in studentworksheet. In addition, the final product student worksheet also shows most ofthe participants have been creative in developing worksheets with student worksheetdevelop their own (not copy and paste) and includes the development ofhigher order thinking skills in student worksheet

Abstract

The development of catfish cultivation in Boyolali Regency givesgood prospect for the progress of seeding business in surroundings. Twosamples of catfish seeding groups are Mina Lestari and Mina Mandiri. Bothgroups have been running this business for 3 years and have faced considerableproblems. The problems were (1) the low quality of mother Africancatfish; (2) less maximum seeding of African catfish; (3) limited spawningpools; (4) the woof quality for mother catfish; (5) limited business developmentof each member of both groups. Marketing of catfish seed had goodprospect where the demand of the seed in this village was high enough, eventhe supply could not meet the market.The demand of catfish seed of Kampung Lele cooperative cannot befulfilled for each day due the limited production. Simple business managementmade this business opportunity cannot be explored well. It also affecttedthe business development which ran in slow progress. Based on thoseproblems, the approach methods offered to solve the problems at MinaLestari and Mina Mandiri were: (1) introduction to qualified mother catfish;(2) the improvement of human resource in the technique of catfish seeding;(3) production of alternative woof; (4) increment of permanent spawningpools; (5) improvement in business management.This workshop was given to all members of both groups. The activitiesoffered as the problem solving of the existing problems were all conducted.However, there were some unsolved problems. The problems werein the process of small sized woof for catfish seed and the spawning processwhich often failed probably due to natural factors. The activities which havebeen conducted could help solve the problems faced by Mina Lestari andMina Mandiri. The result could increase the income of the group membersminimal 10% from the prior income. The problem faced in producing pelletwoof was the drying process. In addition, the packaging should be followedup for the sake of the next proposal. Escorting should also be done continuouslyto minimize the problems and to increase the business improvement.

Abstract

The vucer program was aimed to realize a tool for smoking fish using liquid smoke techniql;1pwhich perforins optimal work, easy to use and maintain affordable, ergonimic and efficient.'Theprogram    was started  from July to November  2002. The partner  of thisprogram  was  the  fishermen  group under  TPI  Mian  Samudra,  Trisik  Beach,  Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta .. T~~l activity was begun  by making a tool for smooking  fish, a specially  designed'oven,    then followed   with  the  experiment  of  the  tool  in  thelaboratory ofPKK-Bog~,  UNY.   'By creating a new tool to process  smoked fish, it is hoped that it can producegood quality and quantitysmeked  fish,  as well as can save time and energy. With this tool, it means that it gives an opportunity for an industry to develop its product. Then it can increase the fishermen arid fish sellers'  income.The product yielded from this program was a set of oven for smoking fish which is strong enough, easy to operate, with sufficie volume and simple quality control.Key words:  fish smoking, smoked fish, and tool model

Abstract

One of the flag ship products of Bantul area is a traditional foodproduct that is made from chips mlinjo based mlinjo. For rural areas,potential areas of Bantul strongly supports the development of traditionalfood craft industry mlinjo chips. Mlinjo plants are very easy to get inBantul. Melinjo kind of chips are made from fruit that has been melinjoold. Making chips is not difficult and can be done using simple tools.Mlinjo is one of the processing of agricultural commodity prices are high.These commodities can be exported to neighboring countries. But the factis lack of capital held, the lack of touch technology in the productionprocess, especially in the roaster mlinjo quickly, applied managementsystem is very simple, so profits and losses can not be detected properly,yet have the ability to use information technology can be used as amarketing medium.To achieve these objectives, the methods used in this activity is thecreation of training mlinjo roaster machine that can be adjusted as neededto improve the quality and quantity. Web design training to support themarketing of products crackers mlinjo, business management training. IbMSmall Industries Group activities Craftsmen Emping mlinjo in Beji,displays Bantul Yogyakarta for 3 days on 3, 4, and 5 November 2013at 07:30 to 16:30 pm. In general, all participants followed the eventswith high motivation and earnest. It is evident in their attendance on aregular basis for three days and follow each session with care andenthusiasm. The questions they launched during the opening session.Things are less clear they as to obtain understanding. The first day oftraining activities, participant follow carefully.
