Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan  ini adalah mengidentifikasi   hasil-hasil  penelitian  yang dilakukan oleh para dosen di lingkungan  Universitas Negeri  Yogyakarta  yang dicantumkan  dalam Agenda  Penelirian  yang dikeluarkan  oleh Lembaga  Penelitian  Universitas  Negeri Yogyakarta   tahun   1993,  1994,   1995,  yang  potensial   dikern   angkan   lebih  lanjut,  agar  dapat  diterapkan    dalam  kegiatan pengabdian   kepada  masyarakat. Metode  yang digunakan  dalam  kegiatan  ini adalah  menggunakan   metode  panel.  Setiap penelitan  dari satu fakultas  dinilai oleh  dua  orang.  Jika  terjadi   persilangan   pendapat   didiskusi  'an  lebih  lanjut  melalui  pertemuan   seluruh  anggota  tim  yang berjumlah   12 orang. HasiI yang diperoleh  menunjukkan   bahwa:  (I)  sebagian  be  ar   enelitian  yang dilaksanakan  oIeh para dosen di Iingkungan Universitas   Negeri   Yogyakarta   memberikan   informasi   data  dasar  yang  memberikan   gambaran   kondisi  atau  permasalahan yang  dihadapi  khalayak  sasaran  di lapangan,  (2) hasil-hasil  penelitian  nonkependidikan   yang potensial  dikembangkan   Iebih lanjut  dalam  kegiatan  pengabdian   pada  masyarakat   hampir  sernuanya  bersifat  untuk mengatasi  permasalahan   yang spesifik.Dengan  demikian  perlu  adanya  modifikasi  dan pengembangan   Ie  ih lanjut agar benar-benar   siap diaplikasikan.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to study the made of chitosan membrane.The chitosan membrane was made from industrial waste of prawn packingfactory. The prawn husk was extracted to become chitin before it was thentransformed to chitosan. In order to make a membrane, the chitosan wasmixed with an acetic acid solution using magnetic stirrer. The mixed ofchitosan and an acetic acid solution was doing for 24 hour to make sure thesolution are homogenic. After that, chitosan solution was stored to glassplate 10x10 cm. The glass plate that have been with chitosan solution thendried for 48 hours. A Chitosan Membrane that have made was keeped withthe plate until it used.Keywords: chitosan membrane, industrial waste

Abstract

Di tengah galaunya ekonomi Indonesia saat ini dan tingginya angka pengangguran karena PHK masal, mmahasiswa perlu disiapkan sebagai tenaga intelek dengan inovasinya untuk diarahkan menjadi ealon wirausahaiyang tangguh. Tujuan kegiatan Kuliah Kewirausahaan  (KWU) ini untuk meningkatkan   pemahaman  tentkewirausahaan  dikalangan  mahasiswa agar mampu menjadi wirausahawan  yang berwawasan jauh ke depan denberbasis ilmu yang diperolehnya.Program studi peserta sebagian besar dari Jurusan  Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan,  sedang dari jurusandibatasi masing-masing  2 orang setiap program studio Perkuliahan didesain sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengar teknik operasional  pembuatan  furniture  serat aspek bisnisnya.  Dalam  pendekatan  ini digunakan  variasi  metmengajar, yaitu eeramah, demonstrasi, tanya jawab, seminar, mengundang dosen tamu yang relevan dan kunjun lapangan.  Modul kuliah yang diberikan antara lain (I) Wawasan  Bisnis, (2) Akuntansi  Usaha  Keeil, (3) Stra pemasaran,  (4) Pengembangan  SDM, (5) Perilaku  Organisasi,  (6) Manajemen  Permodalan,  (7) Persaingan Strategi, (8) Sumber Dana Usaha Kecil, (9) Penyusunan Proposal Kredit, (10) Perencanaan Usaha.Dengan telah berhasilnya pelaksanaan  KWU ini merupakan suatu sumbangan  yang sangat berhargalembaga, dosen dan terutama bagi mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Kewirausahaan yang masih awan terhadap dwirausaha.  Yang mereka tahu selama ini bahwa setelah  lulus nanti, akan bekerja sebagai  pegawai  negeri atasektor formal lainnya.  Dengan  adanya KWU ini rnata hati mahasiswa  menjadi terbuka  bahwa ternyata  disewiraswasta  lapangan kerja masih terbuka dan eukup menjanjikan. Berwirausaha dengan terlebih dahulu  memt Perencanaan  Usaha (Bisnis Pian) dapat meminimalkan  resiko,  mengontrol  jalannya usaha dan memaksimal keuntungan.  Indikator keberhasilan program ini antara lain (I) pembuatan modul kuliah tentang kewirausahaan kehadiran kuliah di atas 80% (3) Sebanyak 100% peserta siap menjadi wirausaha baru (WUB) ditandai dengan d membuat  reneana  usaha (Bisnis Pian) yang legis dan mendapat  masukan dari peserta seminar (4) Meningkat minat menjadi wirausahawan dari kalangan mahasiswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to discuss the production efficiency of making bamboo handicraft product by using dryer. The dryer as a tool that can overcome this problems are discussed starting from assembly, specifications, operating guidelines, and test try. Planned dryer basically consists of the heating room and heating units. Heating room made of masonry walls plastered with cement on the outside and inside of the room walls. There are two door to enter the heat product. Two glass window, which serve as monitors heating conditions. Two thermometers was placed on glass window. Result dryer manufacture process has been tested with results as follows: has created a dryer the size of the heating room 3 m x 6 m x 2.25 m, a wall of brick covered with cement, and the ceiling is made of asbestos. Heating unit has dimensions of 40 cm x 40 cm x 60 cm. Heating unit is heated by LPG gas stoves. The results show that a heating unit capable of heating the room temperature from 30oC to 40oC in 10 minutes. The water content of dried products decreased from 17.1% to about 2.5%. The capacity of the dryer is 300 products. The cost for drying the product is Rp47.33, - per product

Abstract

Electric welding training held for 20 days, where participants will be given motivation to work and welding techniques. Activities carried out by focusing the skills, so 70% of the activity, an internship, 20% is the deepening of the theory of welding, and 10% is enlightenment activities to increase motivation.  Instructors part  of the permanent  faculty Trunojoyo  University, others are practitioners in the field of electric welding. The result of this activity are: (1) to produce 40 skilled people who can perform the electric welding, which already has a local certified welding, electrical (2) to produce 40 skilled people who can compete with other workers (3) produces 40 skilled people who can be channeled directly to work as an electric welding workers

Abstract

Pelatihan   peningkatan   kualitas   mengajar   Pendidikan   Kesenian   merupakan   usaha   untukmeluruskan, dan mengembangkan pendidikan  kesenian untuk anak usia Sekolah Dasar. Kegiatan inididasari  oleh   asumsi bahwa setelah perubahan  nama dari  Pendidikan  Kesenian menjadi  Kerajinan Tangan dan Kesenian telah yterjadi polarisasi arah; dari pembinaan pengalaman estetik menuju ketrampilan teknis sehingga anak tidak  mampu memahami fungsi di kemudian hari.Untuk meningkatkan kualitas mengajar Pendidikan  Kesenian, Guru diberi pemahaman tentangsubstansi Pendidikan  Kesenian, Metoda  dan teknik Evaluasi karya. Sedangkan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap seni dilakukan praktek bersarna dengan menciptakan karya seni. Sehingga guru mampu menghayati karya yang dibuat oleh  anak.Di samping itu untuk meningkatkan kualitas karier keguruan, para guru dilatih menulis karyailmiah dari karya ciptaannya.  Hal ini digunakan teknik penulisan mandiri yang dibimbing oleh  dosen.Kata kunci  : Peningkatan Kualitas, Substansi  Pendidikan   Kesenian

Abstract

The   objective    of  producing    a  low  energy   drying   machine   is  to  help   chips industries   in  increasing   their  productivity   by  shortening   the  drying  time.  Up  to  now they  use heat of sunlight  to dry the chips.This  process   is time  consuming   and  why  the dry  season  comes,  the  process   isdelayed.   It decreases   the  quality  of chips.The   drying  machine   produced   uses  firewood placed   in a furnace   as the  heat  source.  The  heat  is then  flown  through   pipes  into  the drying  room,  where  wet  chips  are placed.                                               iiThe  room  has a length  of  1.2 m, a height   of  1 m and a width  of 1 m. It has twodoors  and  equipped   with  a thermometer.    Below   the  room,  there  is a furnace   having capacity   of 6 kg tire  wood  and  an oxygen  inlet.  The drying  temperature   is 60 -  70° C. I kg firewood   can  produce  the  heat with  temperature   of 60 - 70° C for  1.5 hours.The drying  process   of wet- chips  takes  about  5 hours.  For that  of  half  dry  chips,  it takes  2hours.  This  machine  has capacity  of2.400   wet chips  and 6.000  half  dry chips.

Abstract

A group  called  SARILA  in Kauman,  Dadapayu,   Semanu,  Gunung­ kidul,  had  a problem  of low production   quality  and  capacity  in their  busi­ ness  of making  patilo  and  fried  cassava  chips  because  the  work  of cutting and scraping  the basic  material  for their products,  cassava,  was done manu­ ally by using  simple  tools that caused  the cassava  to break  when  cut so that the  resulting   chips  were  also  in  broken  conditions   and  the  manual  work caused the workers  to quickly become  exhausted.  Therefore,  the main objec­ tive of one voucher  program  was to enable the workers  to do their work me­ chanically  instead  of manually.It had  to be able  to design  and  produce  an easily-operated   cassava processing  machine  with a frame strong  enough  to withstand  vibrations  and do two kinds  of work,  cutting  and scraping  cassava,  easily,  accurately,  and simultaneously.    An  ergonomic   table  also  had  to  be  developed   to  ensure long-lasting   use  of the machine  in the  cassava  processing.   The  machine  at last successfully  produced  is 90 em in length,  60 em in width,  and 90 em in height,  designed  high enough  to enable the operator  to do the work easily in a standing-up  position.  Stainless  steel  plate  material  is applied  on all parts having direct  contact  with the cassava  processing.  The frame of the machine is made of 5-cm rectangular  steel profiles  to ensure  its being  strong  enough to withstand  operation.  An electrical  motor  with  a power  of  Y2  HP and pul­ ley-and-belt  transmission   aids the operation.   Such  transmission   enables  the cutting  and scraping  parts to operate  simultaneously   at different  speeds. The position  of the cutting tool can be adjusted  for desired  thickness.  Except the frame, all parts of the machine  are designed  according  to a knock-down  sys­ tem for easy replacement  of broken parts.The  result  of a performance   test  on the  machine  has  shown  that  itcan  be  operated   easily  without  the  operator   becoming   quickly  exhausted. Compared  to what is produced  in the old ways, the product  looks better; it is smoother,  and there  is less cassava  fibers.  The   product  capacity  of the ma­ chine  is about  50 kg every  50 minutes  from  its cutting  process  and  50 kg every  75 minutes  from  its scraping  process.  During  operation,   there  is no vibration on its frame. It shows that the construction design is strong enough to withstand the vibration of the motor rotation and cassava processing.Keywords: cassava, multipurpose machine, cutting and scraping

Abstract

This program aims to (1) conduct a workshop to enhance the skills ofstudents as a strategic objective in designing and making glass mosaic crafts as a precious work of art; (2) involve students in skills enhancement of productive age youth as key strategic objectives in designing and crafting glass mosaic; (3) build networks in the form of a group of small business production and open up access to markets through partnerships with Cooperatives and SMEs (called UKMK) in developing youth as a pioneering institute of Cooperative and SMEs. Some methods were used in the impowerment such as training, workshops and mentoring. Overall method involves the students and youth in the target areas of the program. The results that have been obtained are (1) the skills of students in designing and making crafts glass mosaic as a valuable work of art increases; (2) There is a growing youth skills of youth age as the main strategic objectives in designing and crafting glass mosaic; (3) Formed cooperation in marketing products through exhibitions of Kulon Progo Regency Development. The local government provides full support for the implementation of the program
