Abstract

Adolescence is part in life where human change from childhood into adult (Olds, 2009). In their daily life, adolescents spend their more time with their peers (Papalia et al, 2008). An adolescent with working parent, especially adolescents in Pupuan that majorly have parents who work as a farmer, exactly have a lower intensity of time with their parent. The lower time that adolescents spend with their mother, will make a negative effects to adolescent’s cognitive development (Boca, 2012). Mother who work, will influence there adolescent. So, the researcher would like to know are there any significant relationship between the intensity of quality time among the mother and child with the adolescence assertiveness? This research used quantitative method with simple linear regression for data analysis. Researcher collected data by 2 questionnaires (intensity of quality time scale and assertiveness scale) with the reliability of 0,897 and 0,900 from 240 adolescents that take by stratified random sampling with the criterions such as adolescents with age range between 13-15 years old, live in Pupuan, and have a mother who works as farmer. This research found that there is a relationship between the intensity of quality time among the mother and child with the adolescence assertiveness with the correlation’s coefisien 0,395. There are 15,6% assertiveness is influence by the intensity of quality time among mother and child and 84,4% is influence by the other factors. For the deepen explanation, I used adolescence’s socioemotional theories from Papalia (2008). Key words: Quality time intensity, Assertiveness, Adolescence

Abstract

Saat ini industri pariwisata sedang berkembang karena adanya tren perjalanan pada masyarakat. Tingginya kebutuhan masyarakat untuk melakukan perjalanan menyebabkan meningkatnya persaingan pada industri pariwisata. Pesatnya perkembangan perusahaan perjalanan wisata saat ini tentunya harus diikuti dengan pengelolaan yang lebih baik dan profesional. Sebagai suatu industri, perusahaan perjalanan wisata memiliki sumber daya manusia atau karyawan untuk mencapai tujuan perusahaannya. Salah satu cara adalah dengan mensejahterakan karyawan sebagai penggerak perusahaan, yaitu mengetahui faktor kepuasan kerja karyawan. Kepuasan kerja adalah suatu perasaan senang atau bangga seseorang terhadap pekerjaannya berdasarkan persepsi masing-masing individu dan perasaan tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor-faktor kepuasan kerja pada karyawan perusahaan perjalanan wisata di Denpasar. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 118 karyawan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala kepuasan kerja yang disusun berdasarkan teori kepuasan kerja dari Wexley dan Yukl (1984). Hasil dari uji eksploratori faktor analisis menunjukkan terdapat sembilan faktor kepuasan kerja, yaitu faktor kelompok kerja, faktor kondisi fisik tempat kerja, faktor kompensasi, faktor promosi, faktor dukungan dari atasan, faktor pekerjaan yang menantang, faktor jabatan, faktor gaya kepemimpinan, dan faktor disiplin kerja. Abstract

Homoseksual di Indonesia, khususnya gay semakin lama semakin menunjukkan keberadaannya. Gay adalah seorang laki-laki yang memiliki ketertarikan baik secara fisik dan emosional kepada laki-laki lainnya (Huegel, 2011). Masyarakat Indonesia yang sangat menjunjung tinggi budaya ketimuran memandang homoseksual sebagai fenomena yang tidak sesuai dengan norma di masyarakat. Hal tersebut membuat sebagian besar gay memilih untuk menyembunyikan identitas seksualnya. Pada kenyataannya, beberapa gay justru berani mengungkapkan identitas seksualnya karena dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor. Pengungkapan identitas tersebut dikenal dengan istilah coming out (Berger, 1996). Gay yang coming out pada umumnya akan mengalami berbagai penolakan, terutama dari lingkungan sosial yang kurang menerima homoseksualitas (Evans & Broido, 1999). Menurut Burn (1993), umpan balik dari lingkungan merupakan faktor yang dapat memengaruhi pembentukan konsep diri pada individu. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini difokuskan untuk membahas mengenai konsep diri gay yang coming out. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan observasi pada tiga gay yang coming out. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa umpan balik negatif dari lingkungan dapat membentuk konsep diri yang negatif pada individu. Begitu juga sebaliknya, individu gay membentuk konsep diri yang positif ketika lingkungannya memberikan umpan balik yang juga positif. Temuan lainnya menunjukkan bahwa umpan balik yang diterima individu dari orang yang tidak penting dalam kehidupannya tidak memengaruhi individu dalam membentuk konsep dirinya. Abstract

During the pregnancy, a mother has experienced a significant changes to the physiological function and their psychological that causing an anxiety. Pregnant women who experience excessive anxiety during pregnancy until the delivery would cause pain during childbirth and this must be addressed, namely pregnant women should have the peace that the birth process to be smooth. Many natural ways that can be used to help reduce maternal anxiety, one way is to follow the hypnobirthing techniques. There are a lot of natural ways that can be used to help them decreased their anxiety. One thing that can be done is following the hypnobirthing technique. The aim of this research is to observed the relationship of hypnobirthing participation intensity with the anxiety levels of pregnant woman. The subject of this research were 20 pregnant women who take the hypnobirthing techniques with a gestational age around 7-9 months in Gianyar. The sample were selected using total sampling method. The anxious scale of the subjects were pointing to the aspects that stated by Daradjat. The intensity of participation in hypnobirthing  is accounted by  present list. The method of analyzing data in this research was by using the spearman non-parametric analysis. This research uses unused and try out the validity of the results obtained from 0,270 to 0.738, while the value of reliability for (a = 0.908). The result of the test analysis data is, there was a significant nominal for p=0,001 (p<0,05) with coefficient correlation value it is  -689.  That coefficient correlation has indicated that there was a negative relation between the anxious variable, to the participation of hypnobirthing intensity. Therefore, the hypothesis (Ha) in this research was acceptable. That is, if the intensity of the routine participation hypnobirthing  the anxiety level will decrease. Support of the role of fathers and families in the process of hypnobirthing is highly recommended for pregnant women in order to obtain better results.   Keywords: pregnancy women, anxiety, hypnobirthing

Abstract

Many demands of role that already undertaken by Balinese people who work as employees, makes the employees work under pressure and confuse facing the responsibility on each role. This situation can lead them to work family conflict. A form of interrole conflict in which the role pressures from the work and family domains are mutually incompatible in some respect (Greenhaus & Beutell, 1985). The conflict will push the work conflict, which has the potential to reduce the level of job satisfaction. However, the relationship between work family conflict with job satisfaction can be stronger when it involves the organizational commitment in both cases. Therefore, this study aims to see the relationship between work family conflict with job satisfaction, and examine the relationship between work family conflict on job satisfaction and organizational commitment as moderator. This is a correlation quantitative method. Respondents involves this study are 150 Balinese employees who have family, minimum at high school degree, have been working for 1 year in their company, minimum age 20 years, and has status as a permanent employee. Reliability scores for work family conflict scale is 0,876, reliability scores for job satisfaction scale is 0,864, and reliability scores for organizational commitment is 0,924. Data distribution has shown normal and linear distribution. The result of moderator variable regression analysis by sub-group method shows that organizational commitment doesn’t moderate the effects of work family conflict to job satisfaction on Balinese employees (F count value (1,066) < F table value (3,10)). Abstract

Behavior reflects the aggressiveness of the individual, as often occurs in Indonesia. One of many events has reflected the aggressiveness of the Army’s members. These events make the people become restless. A member of the Army in a period of education is trained hard, discipline, and will obey the command, in order to be prepared to maintain the sovereignty of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). This situation is not only giving an impact to the members of the Army, but also for their social interaction. A member of the army must be ready placed anywhere and anytime accordance with the instructions given by the institution. One of the factors that can affect the aggressiveness is adaptability. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between adjustment and aggressiveness to the Army KODAM Members IX/Udayana, in Bali.Subjects of this study were 439 members of the Army KODAM IX/Udayana in Bali which consists of eight entities supervised by the institution KODAM IX/Udayana. The instrument of this research is the scale of adjustment and scale of aggressiveness that has tested the validity and reliability of the scale and has a scale adjustment to the value of ? = 0.856; aggressiveness scale with the value ? = 0.913.The analysis showed the P value or Sig. 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between the adjustment to the aggressiveness of the Army KODAM IX/Udayana members in Bali. Score correlation coefficient between the two variables showed R= -0.562 which means that the strength of the relationship between the two variables in a medium category, as the value of r lies in the range 0.400-0.599, and has a negative relationship or in opposite directions. Abstract

In Bali, Hindu women are not only demanded to perfom the roles of housewives and career women, but they also have responsibility towards their banjar and their religion. They play important roles in preparing for religious ceremonies that are done almost every day, which include preparing banten, metanding, atau majejahitan (Lanus, 2010). Hindu women that have a dual roles in the family have the potential to experience stress because they are demanded to perform their roles as, office employee, and have religious and social duties in the banjar, as well as their basic role as a housewive. Stress coping is needed to deal with stressful conditions. This study aims to see the stressors, types, symptoms, and stress coping experienced by Hindu women in Denpasar. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenology design. The subjects used in this study were five Hindu women 25-35 years old, have been married with maximum primary school age children, have duties as a housewife and as a career woman, have activities in the banjar and pura. The result of this study showed that the stressors came from their families and environment. Generally, the types of stress that came from families were pressure and frustration with psychological symptoms and were emotional focused coping. Stress that came from the environment usually in the form of conflict and frustration. The symptoms could be psychological and biological, and the coping used may include emotional and problem focused coping.   Key Words: Hindu Women, Dual Roles, Stress and Stress Coping

Abstract

Banyak faktor yang memengaruhi performa atlet pada saat menghadapi pertandingan, salah satunya adalah kecemasan bertanding. Kecemasan bertanding merupakan sebuah emosi yang menimbulkan respon tentang bagaimana individu menginterpretasikan dan menilai situasi lingkungan seperti kompetisi atau pertandingan. Kecemasan berada pada tingkat yang tinggi akan menyebabkan atlet menjadi sangat hati-hati, takut berbuat salah, tidak berani membuat keputusan, dan terlalu bersikap menunggu. Oleh karena itu penting bagi atlet untuk memahami emosi yang dirasakan dan bagaimana mengelola agar emosi tersebut tidak mengganggu performa atlet dalam pertandingan sehingga dapat mencapai prestasi yang maksimal. Kemampuan untuk mengidentifikasi, memahami, mengelola suasana hati dan perasaan, baik pada diri sendiri maupun orang lain disebut dengan kecerdasan emosional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan kecemasan bertanding pada atlet softball remaja putri di Bali. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 114 atlet softball remaja putri yang berusia 15 hingga 18 tahun. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini berupa skala kecerdasan emosional dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,919 dan skala kecemasan bertanding dengan reliabilitas 0,898. Hasil dari uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan metode analisis data korelasi Spearman menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (sig < 0,05). Nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan kecemasan bertanding pada atlet softball putri. Nilai koefisien korelasi yang negatif (-0,395) menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara kecerdasan emosional dengan kecemasan bertanding. Abstract

Masa prasekolah adalah masa anak-anak belajar mengenal lingkungan sosial, mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki, dan membentuk kemandirian. Kemampuan berinteraksi sosial yang baik sangat diperlukan pada masa ini, guna mencapai perkembangan sosial yang optimal. Pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh orangtua terhadap anak dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan interaksi sosial anak. Belajar dari figur orangtua, anak-anak dapat menerapkan cara berinteraksi dan melakukan hubungan timbal balik dengan teman seusianya. Penggunaan teknologi gadget pada anak prasekolah juga dapat memberikan dampak positif maupun negatif terhadap interaksi sosial anak di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pola asuh orangtua dan penggunaan gadget terhadap interaksi sosial anak prasekolah. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 anak prasekolah di Taman Kanak-Kanak Adhi Mekar dan Taman Kanak-Kanak Bintang Besar yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah skala interaksi sosial, skala pola asuh orangtua, dan angket penggunaan gadget. Hipotesis penelitian diuji menggunakan teknik analysis of covariance (ancova). Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi pada corrected model sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pola asuh orangtua dan penggunaan gadget secara bersama-sama berperan terhadap interaksi sosial anak prasekolah. Abstract

In Bali, partner selection remains an important issue since it is still influenced by a cultural factor that is the existence of the catur wangsa (four-caste) system. Wangsa has means descendant. Catur wangsa (four castes) are divided into four, namely Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra. Balinese women who occupy the top caste that is Brahmin would be more selective in choosing a partner for fear of their family’s attitude towards them if they are nyerod, meaning having a marriage where the wangsa (caste) of the woman is higher than that of her partner. The parenting styles applied by parents have a role in decision making when individuals choose their partners. Authoritative parenting style is an effective parenting style because it applies stability properly between acceptance/responsiveness and demandingness/control. This study aims to determine the relationship between authoritative parenting style and the tendency of homogamy in partner selection by young adult women from the Brahmin caste. The subjects used in this study were women from the Brahmin caste, aged 20 to 30 years old, unmarried, and residing in Denpasar. The number of subjects used was as 60 people. The authoritative-parenting-scale reliability was 0.939 and the tendency-of-homogamy-in-partner-selection-scale reliability was 0.948 . The result of the normality test on the authoritative parenting was 0.899 and the result of the normality test on the tendency of homogamy in partner selection was 0.199. The linearity test result on the authoritative parenting towards the tendency of homogamy in partner selection was 0.000. The analytical methods used was the product moment correlation analysis. The correlation result in this study was 0.575 (p=0.000). Based on these results, it was found out that there is a relationship between authoritative parenting and the tendency of homogamy in partner selection by young adult women from the Brahmin caste in Denpasar.
