Abstract

ABSTRACT Motile Aerhomonas Septicemia (MAS) is one of bacteria diseases which is often attack freshwater fish. Motile Aerhomonas Septicemia (MAS) or hemmorage septicemia caused by bacteria A. hydrophila. The aim of this reserch examine Averrhoa bilimbi juice mixed on feed in order to effect sangkuriang catfish by A. hydrophila. The research was conducted at September until October 2016 in Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya and Laboraturium UPT Klinik Universitas Sriwijaya. Method of the research uses Completely Ranomized Design with six treatments and three replications. This research was conducted for 25 days of rearing. The catfish given feed mixed A. b          ilimbi juice about 150 mL.kg-1 (P1), 200 mL.kg-1 (P2), 250 mL.kg-1 (P3) dan 300 mL.kg-1 (P4) with frequency was three times a day. The parameters of this reserch is wound diameter, the percentage of cured fish, hematocrit, growth, food convertion ratio, survival rate, and chemical properties (temperature, pH, DO and ammonia). The results showed that the addition of A. bilimbi juice at P1 be obtained the percentage of cured fish was 64.47% and survival rate was 71.11%. P2 be obtained the percentage of cured fish was 68.89% and survival rate was 73.33%. P3 be obtained the percentage of cured fish was 72.53% and survival rate was 80.00%. P4 be obtained the percentage of cured fish was 95.40% and survival rate was 95.56%. P4 with dose 300 mL.kg-1 feed is the best treatment bacterial A. hydrophila infection of hematocrit was 32%, the percentage of cured fish was 95.40%, and survival rate was 95.56%. Water quality parameters during maintenance is still in a state of optimum range. Keywords: Aeromonas hydrophila, Sangkuriang catfish, Averrhoa bilimbi juice.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the growth and survival rate occurs in the catfish larvae after being given a different kind of natural feed. This research uses 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. The fish test is used the catfish larvae 4 days old. Natural feed is include Tubifex sp. Moina sp, egg yolk and Commercial feed as fodder for control. The feeding is done 3 times a day in adlibitum. Parameters measured were weight and length growth, survival rate as well as several water quality parameters. The data have been obtained during the study, then analyzed statistically. The results of this research showed the highest weight growth of catfish in a row is the A of (0.166±0.015 gr) and treatment B (0.159±0.015 gr) further treatment C (0.143±0.015 gr) and then treatment D (control), namely (0.151gr ± 0.015 gr). Average of the highest length growth of a row are on treatment A (27.8±3 mm). Followed by treatment B (26.1±3 mm), further treatment C is (19.4±3 mm) and the lowest length growth in treatment D (Control), (15.9±3 mm). And the highest survival rate of catfish was in treatment A (38.55±13.48%), and treatment B (31.77±13.36%), then treatment C (28.88±13.19%) and the lowest survival rates in treatment D (25.11±13.00%). Keywords: Catfish, Natural Feed, Growth Out

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to determine the feeding period Artemia sp. nauplii, Moinasp., Tubifex sp., and artificial feed to increasesurvival and growth of kissing gouramy larvae since4th day until 35th after hatching. The research was conducted on July up toSeptember 2014 at Aquaculture Program Study, Agriculture Faculty Sriwijaya University.The research was designed based on Complete RandomizedDesignwith 5 treatments and 3 replications. Larvae (4th day after hatching) were fed four times a day at 08.00 am, 11.00 am, 02.00 pm, and05.00 pm. The treatmentswere larvae that were fed withArtemiasp. nauplii at the age of larvae of 4-15 days, Moina sp.at the age of larvae 14 – 24 days, and Tubifex sp. at the age of larvae 23 – 35 days (P1), Artemiasp. nauplii was gave at age of larvae 4 – 13 days, Moina sp.was gave atage of larvae 12 – 20 days, and Tubifex sp.was gave at the age of larvae 19-35 days (P2), Artemia sp. nauplii was gave at the age of larvae 4 – 11 days, Moina sp.was gave at the age of larvae 10-16 days, and Tubifex sp.was gave at the age of larvae 15 – 35 days (P3), Artemiasp. nauplii was gave at the age of larvae 4 – 13 days, Moina sp.was gave at the age of larvae 12 – 20 days, and artificial feed was gave at the age of larvae 19-35 days (P4), Artemiasp. nauplii was gave at the age of larvae 4 – 11 days, Moina sp.was gave at age of larvae 10-16 days, and artificial feed was gave at the age of larvae 15 – 35 days (P5).The results showed that the highest percentage of survival rate was P3 (59.33%), there was no significantly different with P4 (55%). P4 have the highest of length and weight growth  (23.57 mm; 306mg). Therefore the best result was P4. Keywords : Feed type, Feeding periods, Kissing gouramy, Survival, Growth

Abstract

ABSTRACT    Starved was one effort that can reduce the feed consumption and feed residues without decreasing growth of cultured fish. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of starved periodically to the specific growth rate and feed efficiency of tilapia reared in the pond. The research had been conducted in Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya Unversity on April – Juni 2016. This research method used Completely Randomized Design with four treatments and three replications that was every day feed without starvation (P0), one day feed one day starvation (P1), two days feed one day starvation (P2) and three days feed one day starvation (P3). Parameters of this research are specific growth rate, feed efficiency, survival rate and water quality (temperature, pH, DO, ammonia). The result showed that starved periodically significantly effect to the growth rate and feed efficiency of cultured tilapia in the pond. Treatment P1 (one day feed one day starvation) gave highest specific weight growth rate and specific length growth rate which were 2.32%.day-1 and 1.27%.day-1 then feed efficiency was 84.46%. The highest survival rate occurred in treatment P1 (one day feed one day starvation) 82%. Water quality of this research were temperature 27.0-31.5 oC,  pH 6.8-7.9, dissolved  oxygen 4.53-7.23 mg.L-1, and ammonia 0.01-0.30 mg.L-1. Keywords : Feed Efficiency, Specific growth rate, Starved, , Tilapia.

Abstract

Inland swamp water has low pH value 3-4, there fore is not suitable for striped catfish culture. Liming is one of the efforts to increase the pH of water. This research aims to increase the swamp water pH for survival rate and grow of catfish. This research used a completely randomized design four treatments and three replications with doses of 0,6 kg.m-2 equvalent to CaCO3 (P1), 0,9 kg.m-2 equvalent to CaCO3 (P2), 1,2 kg.m-2 equvalent to CaCO3 (P3) and 1,5 kg.m-2 equvalent to CaCO3 (P4). The parameters are water quality (temperature, pH, DO, ammonia, alkalinity, and hardness), growth and survival rate of striped catfish. The result showed that (P2) was the best treatment for increasing swamp water pH from 3,6 to 7,57 and soil pH from 3,5 to 7,60, survival rate 86,7%, absolute growth length 4,35 and absolute growth weight 8,30 g and feed efficiency 73,53%.

Abstract

The aims of this research was to examined the effect of fermented giant salvinia meal as feed ingrediant on growth, spesific growth rate, feed efficiency, and survival rate of tilapia. Research used completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications. The treatments were treatment with out used giant salvinia meal, and using 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% fermented giant salvinia meal in feed formulation. Results showed that the using 10% fermented giant salvinia meal in feed formulation provided the best result were weight growth 2.28 g, specific growth rate 1.45%, feed efficiency 69.54%, and survival rate 98.33%. As long the research, water quality was in optimum  range for tilapia were  temperature 25-290C,  dissolved oxygen 5.60- 7.95 mg.L-1, pH 6.6-7.1, and amonia 0.009-0.016 mg.L-1.   Keywords: Giant salvinia, fermentation, feed efficiency, tilapia

Abstract

ABSTRACT This aims of this research were to determine the percentage of clam meal in substitute fish meal in feed formulations seen from the value of digestibility, growth and feed efficiency. This study was conducted in July-September 2013 in the Laboratory of Aquaculture, Aquaculture Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Cr2O3 and proximate analysis test conducted in Bioprocess Laboratory, Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Sriwijaya. The design used was a completely randomized design, using five treatments with three replications. The treatment used is flour substitution of fish meal with a clam on which treatment A (0:100), B (25:75), C (50:50), D (75:25), and E (0:100). In the observed parameters of feed digestibility, growth, feed efficiency, survival, and quality of water. Results showed treatment B (clam meal 25% and 75% fish meal in feed formulation) resulted in a total value of digestibility, protein digestibility of feed, growth and feed efficiency is highest, where the value was 89.51%, 93.23%, 2.07g, 85.72%. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study were to know the effect of giving rice bran fermented using tape yeast for population growth of  Daphniasp. and to know the concentration of rice bran to increase populationsof Daphnia sp.. This study was conducted in the Laboratorium Dasar Perikanan, Aquaculture Program Study, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya from July until September 2014. This study used randomized completely design method with five treatments and three replications. The treatment for culturing Daphnia sp. using chicken manure and rice bran fermented as feed. The treatments wereA (0.0005 g chicken manure.mL-1 culture media (control)), B (0.1 g.mL-1 rice bran fermented), C (0.15 g.mL-1 rice bran fermented), D (0.2 g.mL-1 rice bran fermented), E (0.25 g.mL-1 rice bran fermented). The parameters observed were the high population on firstcycle, the population growth, long  time of the peak population Daphniasp. andphysics chemistry water. The result showed that fed rice bran fermented using tape yeast culture of Daphniasp. give effect to density, population growth, reached the long time population of Daphniasp. culture. The highest population density and growth rate in the culture of the Daphnia sp., using concentration 0.1 g.mL-1rice bran fermented. Abstract

ABSTRACT The research had been done on February, March, May and April 2018 with purposive sampling method. The purpose of this research was to know condition of Ogan river waters which based on Physic and chemistry parameters. In taking sampling water was done at four stations which are desa Indralaya Mulya, desa Tanjung Seteko, and desa Muara Penimbung Ilir (Part of kecamatan Indralaya) and desa Suka Merindu (part of kecamatan Pemulutan Barat). Sampling water had been analyzed with insitu (in the field of the research) and exsitu (in laboratory). The physic parameters were brightness, turbidity, depth, DHL and TDS. The chemical parameters were: pH, DO, alkalinitas, NO2, NO3, dan NH3.  Result of the research showed that when dry weather the score of DO, pH, alkalinitas, and Nitrat become higher on May than on Februari, March, and June. Water condition of Ogan river was moderately polluted dan low fertility rate in dry weather but it still can be used for people daily used, but for fishing cultivation it only can be used for fishes which have high tolerance with bad water condition. Keywords : Physic-Chemical Parameters, Water quality, Ogan River

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of salinity changes on hatching eggs and rearing that the most effective for giant freshwater prawns from South Sumatra. The research was conducted in January to April 2012 in research institute of inland fisheries, Banyuasin South Sumatera. This research used four methods of treatment for the application of different salinity media water hatching eggs and larvae of water media. Method 1 of hatching and larvae rearing media at 12 ppt salinity maintained until postlarvae. Method 2 of hatching salinity media on ~ 0ppt  to 4 ppt, and larval rearing medium salinity increased as larvae aged 2 to 8 days from 4 to 12 ppt salinity and salinity of 12 ppt maintained until postlarvae. Methods 3 of hatching media on ~ 0 ppt salinity, and larvae rearing medium salinity increased as larvae aged 1 to 6 days of salinity ~ 0 to 12 ppt and at 17 days old larvae of 12 ppt salinity reduced gradually until ~ 0 ppt to postlarvae. Methods 4 of hatching media on ~ 0 ppt salinity, and larval rearing medium salinity increased as larvae aged 1 to 6 days in salinity ~ 0 to 13 ppt and as larvae aged 17 days of 12 ppt salinity reduced gradually until ~ 0 ppt to pascalarva. The results showed that application of the methods 4 was the most effective achieve the ability to live the longest until 24 days. Keywords : Macrobrachium rosenbergii, udang galah, salinitas
