Abstract

Early detection is the first step in breast cancer prevention which targets can be done during adolescence, early detection in adolescents needs to be done through peer educators because adolescents prefer information from peers rather than parents or teachers, so that the material presented can improve BSE knowledge and attitude. This study aims to determine the effect of peer health education regarding knowledge and attitudes of BSE. The research design used a quasi-experimental study with a pre-post approach with a control group. Young women are the population in this study, with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The sample used was 240 female teenage respondents according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection using a questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha is 0.941> 0.7 for knowledge and 0.890 (> 0.361) for attitudes. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a difference between the pre-test median knowledge score was 14 and increased to 22 after the post-test with a P value of  0.000 <0.05 and the pre-test attitude median value was 17 increasing to 23 after the post-test with P Value 0.000 <0.05. Based on the research, it can be concluded that peers are very influential in increasing BSE knowledge and attitudes so that it is very important in early detection of breast cancer.

Abstract

Online clinical practice is an alternative in providing mental health services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Online clinical practice is useful in preventing relapse that is at risk of occurring during a pandemic in people with serious mental disorders such as schizophrenia. One of the schizophrenia relapse symptoms is a change in behavior that is distorted so that it creates a risk of violent behavior. Violence is a maladaptive response indicated by injuring oneself, others, or the environment. The patient’s ability to control violent behavior can be used as a means of preventing violent behavior. Nursing interventions based on mental health nursing care standards are carried out to prevent or control violent behavior in patient. The purpose of providing nursing care is to reduce symptoms and increase the patient’s ability to control violent behavior. The research method used case study analysis. The instrument used was an evaluation sheet of symptoms and the ability to control violent behavior. The final evaluation of the nursing care provided showed a decrease in symptoms and an increase in patient’s ability to control violent behavior. Promotion and prevention of health problems in patient with a risk of violent behavior can be done by implementing online nursing care based on mental health nursing care standards, as well as collaborating with clinical nurse specialist and related communities.

Abstract

Depression among college students is very common. College students are special groups that are in transition from adolescence to adulthood that can create stress in one's life. College students try to fit in, make plans for the future, and being away from home often causes anxiety and results in depression for college students. In addition, during the Covid-19 pandemic, students felt bored at home, did not understand material optimally, were confused with online learning methods, and felt their abilities and grades dropped dramatically. This study aims to determine the level of student depression during the Covid-19 pandemic. The quantitative research with a descriptive analytic approach. The research sample was 147 students, the study was conducted in May 2020 on the students of Akper Dharma Wacana. The research instrument used the BDI II questionnaire. Data were analyzed univariately with a frequency distribution. The results showed that 21.1% of students had mild depression, 17% of students had moderate depression and 3.4% had severe depression.

Abstract

The prevalence of depression in the elderly in the world with an average age of 60 years is estimated there are 500 million people. The prevalence of depression in Indonesia based on the Information Center for Non-Communicable Diseases, elderly who experience depression by 11.6%. The effects of depression are decreased concentration and suicidal ideation. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between education level, age, sex, marital status and length of stay in nursing homes with the incidence of depression in the elderly. Research using quantitative methods with cross-sectional design. 101 elderly research respondents obtained by purposive sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire and geriatric depression scale (GDS-15). Analysis of the data with chi-square test, the results obtained there is a relationship between the last education with the incidence of depression (p-value 0.014) and there is no relationship between age and the incidence of depression (p-value 0.132), there is no relationship between sex with the incidence of depression (p-value 0.273), there was no relationship between marital status and depressive events (p-value 0.187), there was no association of length of stay with depressive events (p-value 0.192), there was no relationship between family visits and depressive events (p-value 0.879).

Abstract

Coronavirus 2019 or COVID-19 is a pandemic that has resulted in mortality and mortality rates in various parts of the world. Good knowledge of the COVID-19 pandemic and having a clean and healthy behavior as an effort to prevent transmission of COVID-19 is important to apply. The aim of the research is to find a picture of the community about the COVID-19 pandemic and people's behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive survey design on 150 communities in Sumerta Kelod Village, Denpasar, Bali through purposive sampling. Research using a questionnaire as a data tool and the data were analyzed univariately by presenting the variable frequency distribution. The results of the analysis obtained public knowledge about the COVID-19 pandemic in the good category, namely 70%. The distribution of community behavior shows that the community has complied with health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of the community case categories are in the low-risk case category (85.33%).

Abstract

Drug abuse in Indonesia is increasing from year to year, from the age of 15 to 64 years using narcotics at least one a year and the need to be aware of proliferation of new types of narcotics. One way of helping in the recovery of people with drug abuse. Purpose is to describe the client’s art therapy due to drug abuse. The writing method used in this writing is a journal-based literature review, with several stage, : determining the big topic, journal screening and determining the theme of the journal references obtained. Art therapy which is effective for drug use is by using painting therapy and musik therapy. Painting as therapy, is related to the contemplative or sublimation aspects so thar it can express feelings and reduce dependence on subtances. In conclusion, art therapy is needed by clients with mental disorders, especially female and adolescent clients. Art therapy is a means of channeling thoughts and feelings that a client with drug abuse may not be able to verbalize.

Abstract

Teens in one day of care often lose smartphones more than 34 times a day and feel fear and anxiety when their smartphones, smartphones have a negative impact on adolescents which can result in decreased social skills. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between interaction interactions with the incidence of nomophobia among high school students in Semarang. This research uses quantitative methods. The researcher used simple random sampling technique with questionnaire to 178 students as the respondents. The results obtained from statistical tests using the Chi-Square formula. Based on the results of the analysis obtained that from 178 research respondents, 128 respondents aged 16 years (71.9%) and 108 women (60.7%), Most social people were in the high category 102 people (57.3%) and the most nomophobia was in the moderate nomophobia category 133 people (74.7%). There is no relationship between social interaction and the incidence of nomophobia among SMA N 10 Semarang students (p value> 0.05).

Abstract

Adat Ipilah is a mandatory customary sanction given to women who are pregnant out of wedlock by the Dayak Ma'anyan tribe in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia as a form of sanction for social violations. Carried out on pregnant women in the first trimester, generally in the first pregnancy. Pregnant women will demonstrate in front of traditional and community elders. The implementation of Ipilah can be a stressor and affect the psychological health of pregnant women. The research was to explore the impact of the implementation of the Ipilah custom on the psychology of Dayak Ma'anyan women. Using qualitative methods with an interpretive phenomenology approach. Participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection by in-depth interviews. Analyzed using interpretative phenomenological analysis. Get 6 themes; Disappointed with adat, forced to follow Ipilah, afraid of the sanctions that will be received, ashamed to interact with the community, pressured because cannot forget Ipilah, helpless with the situation. Ipilah sanction was a traumatic experience that had a negative psychological impact. Ipilah is a source of stressors that affect the lives of women who experience it. Whether it's psychological or social relations in society.

Abstract

Cancer patients need intensive psychological assistance when undergoing the process of cancer treatment. Nurses have a duty to provide holistic nursing care, namely by handling psychological serenity in cancer patients. The purpose of making this study is to provide scientific information to nurses related to self care management activities that can be educated to patients in order to provide psychological calm while undergoing treatment independently. The design used was a literature review study, using various databased CINAHL, PubMed, Science Direct, Google Schoolar, and Medline. Searching for articles was carried out by collecting themes about Self Care Management, Nursing Activities and Psychological Serenity of cancer patients. The criterion for inclusion in the search for literature sources is the year the article was published, starting from 2010 to 2020, in English, and full article. Search keywords are self care management, nursing activities, self activities, self care, psychological serenity, and psychological problems. A total of 25 articles were analyzed and produced 6 themes, including sports, self-management through spiritual activities, shared care with health practitioners or fellow cancer survivors, implementing positive self talk, listening to instrumental music therapy, and doing art making and art therapy. The application of appropriate innovation selfcare management to the psychological symptoms of cancer patients can also help improve the Quality of Life of cancer patients.

Abstract

Victims of violence such as children who experience psychic trauma when not properly handled can experience Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a result of disasters or calamities such as accidents, natural disasters, war or violence that cause disruptions such as anxiety and impaired self-integrity. There are several factors that cause a person to experience PTSD, one of which is a factor associated with traumatic events. This research aims to know the education of mental health needed by children of violence with PTSD. The design of this research uses a type of quantitative research that is descriptive. The location of this research is six regencies/cities in West Sumatra province, namely Padang City, Agam Regency, Solok Regency, Solok City, Pariaman Regency and District 50 Kota. The sample samples amounted to 106 students taken using the Multistage Sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a violent questionnaire, Mini ICD10 Questionnaire, DSM V questionnaire and questionnaire to determine the mental health education that children need with PTSD. Data analysis using the SPSS application and research results in the form of frequency distribution.The results of this study were 34.9% of children's violent victims with PTSD chose positive thinking education as a form of education needed..
