Abstract

The aims of this study were: (1) to describe the quality of the workshop of lesson study on science teachers at SMKN 2 Seririt; and (2) to analyze the differences of the student’s learning achievement in science subject before and after workshop of lesson study at SMKN 2 Seririt. This study was a pre-experimental study using one group pretest-postest design. The population of this study were focused on eleventh grade students of SMKN 2 Seririt in the academic year 2013/2014. The samples of the class for this study was determined by random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and hipotesis analyzed by paired sample t-test  for the data of student’s achievement in science subject. The result showed that: (1) the workshop of lesson study on science teachers at SMKN 2 Seririt fell into very good qualification ( 91,781); and (2) there were significant differences of the student’s learning achievement in science subject before and after workshop of lesson study (t=123,8493; p<0,05).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop the scientific character of science learning laden with props thrift and performance assessment. This type of research is research and development. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires, observation and tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis percentage. The results showed that the validity of the learning pernagkat validity of the development value (Va) 4.23 which is the valid criterion (4 ≤ Va <5). Scientific character within students in science learning laden scientific character with props used items that are in good category where the average percentage of scientific character on each Class of> 70%. The average percentage of student activity is in the good category that is> 70%. Cognitive abilities of students in the class A1 of 84.44% cognitive ability and very good 13.33% of the students in the category fairly and 2.22% of students are in the poor category. In the A2 grade of 80.43% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good and the rest have the cognitive abilities in the category enough. In the A3 grade of 89.13% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good as well as the A4 grade of 93.33% of the students have the cognitive ability and very good san rest have sufficient cognitive ability.

Abstract

Many researchers have pointed out that the use of self-assessment gives positive effect on students’ writing performance. However, some other factors, such as students’ self-efficacy which may also play a role for students’ success in writing is still rarely studied. Both self-assessment and self-efficacy share linear effect on students’ writing performance. Thus, observing students with high and low self-efficacy while they are using self-assessment in writing is considerably noteworthy to study. This research is interested in investigating the role of high and low self-efficacy in the implementation of self-assessment for English writing. The design of the research was Pre-experimental Design of One-Shot Case Study with the sample of 42 students. The data were collected by using self-efficacy questionnaire and writing competency scoring rubric. The data were analyzed by using t-test. The result shows that there is a significant difference between students with high and low self-efficacy on the implementation of self-assessment for English writing.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji pengaruh pengajaran yang menggunakan teks-teks sangkalan terhadap pencapaian konsep siswa tentang hukum I dan III Newton, dibandingkan dengan pengajaran yang menggunakan teks ekspositori. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri atas 73 orang siswa  kelompok eksperimen dan 85 orang kelompok kontrol. Selama pengajaran hukum I dan III Newton pengajaran menggunakan teks sangkalan diberikan kepada kelompok eksperimen, sedangkan pengajaran menggunakan teks ekspositori diberikan pada kelompok kontrol. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah gain skor ternormalisasi (g) pencapaian konsep siswa.  Data dikumpulkan dengan tes penguasaan konsep dengan indek reliablitas r=0,65 dan dianalisis dengan Uji Man Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) rata-rata gain skor ternormalisasi ( ) siswa kelompok eksperimen adalah 0,54 dengan SD= 0,128 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan kelompok kontrol adalah 0,16 dengan SD=0,104, yang termasuk dalam kategori rendah. (2) persentase kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol yang memiliki konsep ilmiah masing-masing naik rata-rata 39,45% dan 12,65%. (2) uji Man Withney menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pencapaian konsep antara siswa kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menjelaskan perbedaan hasil belajar kemampuan dasar senam lantai yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share (TPS) dengan model pembelajaran Student Teams-Achievement Devision (STAD). (2) menjelaskan perbedaan hasil belajar kemampuan dasar senam lantai antara mahasiswa yang belajar dengan media VCD dan media gambar. (3) menjelaskan pengaruh interaktif antara model dan media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar.  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) menggunakan pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 6 kelas yang terdiri dari 156 mahasiswa. Sampel diambil 4 kelas dengan cara simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes hasil belajar dan dianalisis dengan ANACOVA faktorial 2×2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kemampuan dasar senam lantai yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share (TPS) dengan model pembelajaran Student Teams-Achievement Devision (STAD) (F = 64.805; p<0.05), dimana hasil belajar kemampuan dasar senam lantai pada mahasiswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share (TPS) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran Student Teams-Achievement Devision (STAD), (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara media pembelajaran VCD dengan media pembelajaran gambar terbukti pada nilai (F= 52.577; p<0.05), (3) terdapat pengaruh interaktif antara media dan model pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar kemampuan dasar senam lantai terbukti pada nilai (F= 88.185; p<0.005).

Abstract

Di era global persaingan semakin keras dan ketat yang disertai dengan munculnya permasalahan yang semakin kompleks. Hal yang sama juga terjadi pada proses pembelajaran, sehingga profesionalisme guru perlu ditingkatkan. Salah satu cara yang dapat ditempuh adalah melalui pemahaman terhadap prinsip-prinsip ergonomi dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penulisan adalah: (1) mengkaji pemahaman terhadap prinsip-prinsip ergonomi dalam pembelajaran sangat diperlukan di dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru; (2) mengkaji peranan prinsip-prinsip ergonomi dalam pembelajaran yang harus dipahami oleh seorang guru untuk meningkatkan profesionalismenya; dan (3) mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi dalam mensosialisasikan prinsip-prinsip ergonomi dalam pembelajaran guna meningkatkan profesionalisme guru. Melalui telaah kajian pustaka ditelusuri prinsip-prinsip ergonomi yang relevan diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa para guru saat ini belum memahami prinsip-prinsip ergonomi yang relevan dalam pembelajaran. Akan tetapi melalui tulisan ini diingatkan agar para guru wajib menerapkan prinsip-prinsip ergonomi dalam pembelajaran agar siswa yang belajar tetap sehat, aman, nyaman, efektif, dan efisien energi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan: (1) pengetahuan guru mengenai prinsip-prinsip ergonomi dalam pembelajaran sangat relevan di dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru; (2) pemahaman guru mengenai peranan prinsip-prinsip ergonomi dalam pembelajaran dan dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh sarana dan prasarana yang tidak ergonomik dapat menambah wawasannya dalam upaya pengelolaan kelas; dan (3) kendala yang dihadapi dalam mensosialisasikan prinsip-prinsip ergonomi dalam pembelajaran dapat dijadikan tantangan sekaligus peluang dalam penerapan ergonomi di sekolah.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sarana dan prasarana pendidikan sekolah dasar di Kota Tarakan berdasarkan tingkat akreditasinya dan menganalisis kesesuaiannya berdasarkan permen 24 tahun 2007. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel sekolah berdasarkan akreditasi sekolah, yaitu sekolah akreditasi A, B dan C, yaitu SDN 028 (Akreditasi A), SDN 013 Tarakan (Akreditasi B) dan SDN 021 Tarakan (Akreditasi C). Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu secara keseluruhan sarana prasarana di sekolah dasar layak, kesesuaian sarana prasarana sekolah dasar 80,9% untuk SDN 028 Tarakan (Akreditasi A), 78,7% untuk SDN 013 Tarakan (Akreditasi B) dan 55,3% untuk SDN 021 Tarakan (Akreditasi C) mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Republik Indonesia no 24 tahun 2007 tentang Standar Sarana dan Prasarana untuk Sekolah Dasar/Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (SD/MI), Sekolah Menengah Pertama/Madrasah Tsanawiyah (SMP/MTs), dan Sekolah Menengah Atas/Madrasah Aliyah (SMA/MA).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of project-based learning model for the creativity and the results of student learning partially and simultaneously, (2) to test the effect of project-based learning model to student results. This quasi-experimental research design was post-test only control group design. The study population was PGSD Undiksha VI semester student academic year 2015 as many as 175 people consisting of 5 classes. A sample of 2 (two) classes, each consisting of 63 people was obtained by random sampling group. The independent variable was the learning model that consists of two dimensions, namely project-based learning and conventional learning, while the dependent variable is the creativity and learning outcomes. Data were collected by questionnaire and tests. Data were analyzed by statistical infrensial. The hypothesis was tested by MANOVA using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. Conclusion The results of the study are: (1) There is a positive influence on project-based learning model for the creativity of the student; (2) There is a positive influence on project-based learning model for learning outcomes Elementary Science Education students; and (3) There is a positive influence on project-based learning model for learning outcomes IPA Education Elementary students simultaneously.

Abstract

Lack of exact use of teaching materials and does not correspond to the needs of student leads to lack of analytical ability of students to the process of problem solving. Research development worksheets based on Polya problem solving on the heat material aims to develop valid LKPD, practical, and effective. Stages of development using the 4D model was modified into 3D, namely define (definition), Design (planning), and Development (development) The results of the validity of the learning device in the category valid, obtained from the calculation of CVI are in the range 0-1 and said in category reliably with r11 value greater than rtabel (rcount > rtabel). The results of the analysis of questionnaire responses of students obtained an average percentage of 87.9% on the analysis. The analysis result of sheets assessment of learning physics used LKPD-based Polya problem solving obtained average percentage analysis results in the first meeting is 77.33% with good category, the average percentage of the results of the analysis at the second meeting is 81.11% with a very good category and average of results percentage analysis at the third meeting is 78.89% with good category. So it can say that LKPD-based Polya problem solving developed valid, practical and effective to use.

Abstract

The objectives for this research are (1) to explore student’s strategies to solve story problem about measurement material; (2) to explore student’s learning difficulties to solve story problem. Subject of this research were 18 of fourth grade students of SDN Winduhaji in Kuningan subdisctrict. This research using qualitative approach within case study method. Data in this research using qualitative namely result of story problem. Techniques of collecting data in this research are using test, interview, and document analysis. Data analyzed by using thematic analisys meanwhile data validated by using triangulation, member checking, and reflectivity. The results of this research show that student’s strategies to solve story problem are (1) using pictures; (2) using diagram; (3) typed problem using addition, reduction, multiplication, and dividing operation. Student’s learning difficulties to solve problem story are (1) problem comprehension difficulties; (2) difficult to representation the problem conductes math and pictures; (c) concept comprehension difficulties; (d) difficult to develop solving strategies; (e) student’s cognitive disruption.
