Abstract

This study aims to design and develop UnityPet, an integrated application for pet owners and professionals in the pet industry, using the Design Thinking methodology. The application is designed to address specific user needs by providing various services, including online veterinary consultations, grooming services, pet sitting, an online store for pet supplies, and interactive features for communication between users and professionals. The research process includes five key stages of Design Thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The Empathize stage identifies primary challenges faced by users, such as the difficulty in finding a comprehensive platform for pet-related services and communication barriers with professionals. The Define stage formulates the core user problems as a foundation for ideation, where various application features are developed according to these needs. In the Prototype stage, wireframes and interactive prototypes are created to visualize and test the application’s functionality. Finally, usability testing is conducted in the Test phase to assess the application’s effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and user-friendliness. The testing results indicate an effectiveness rate of 84%, with efficiency, accuracy, and user-friendliness scores reaching 92%, surpassing the acceptance threshold of 75%. These findings demonstrate that UnityPet is not only functional but also offers an intuitive and satisfying user experience. UnityPet successfully meets usability standards and is ready for implementation, promising a positive contribution to the pet care industry

Abstract

In the digital era, access to spiritual services has become a challenge for church members living in remote areas or those with limited time. This study is driven by the need of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (GMAHK) to provide an efficient online consultation platform between church members and pastors. This research developed a web-based e-consultation application using the Laravel and Vue.js frameworks. The development method used is the Rational Unified Process (RUP), an iterative and incremental software development model. This process consists of four main phases: Inception (user needs analysis), Elaboration (system architecture design), Construction (system development and testing), and Transition (implementation and system refinement based on user feedback). The main features include consultation scheduling, visitation requests, and direct interaction through live chat. This e-consultation application offers a practical and effective solution for flexible spiritual consultation services that can be accessed without geographical barriers.

Abstract

The growing reliance on mobile banking has brought convenience to users but also heightened security risks, making the analysis of users' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors toward information security incident reporting critical. This study investigates these dimensions within the context of mobile banking in Indonesia, aiming to bridge gaps between awareness and action. A survey involving 430 respondents was conducted, utilizing an instrument adapted from the Human Aspect of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q). Statistical analyses, including Cronbach's alpha, composite reliability, and Average Variance Extracted (AVE), were employed to validate the constructs. The results reveal that while respondents exhibit high levels of knowledge (mean = 4.21) and positive attitudes (mean = 4.20), their proactive reporting behaviors are relatively low (mean = 3.26). Path coefficient analysis indicates that knowledge strongly influences attitudes (0.722) but has a weaker direct impact on behaviors (0.162). Gender differences also play a significant role, affecting knowledge and behavior. These findings underscore the need for targeted interventions, including enhanced training, supportive reporting cultures, and robust monitoring mechanisms, to mitigate risks and improve incident reporting practices. Future research should explore psychological and technological factors to further enhance mobile banking security.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed how children access and use the internet, offering opportunities for learning and socialization while exposing them to risks such as cyberbullying and harmful content. This study examines parental digital literacy across six dimensions: knowledge of technology, security settings, usage policies, monitoring activities, communication, and risk awareness. Data were collected from 179 mothers with children under 15 through structured questionnaires. Findings reveal generational and educational disparities in digital literacy. Generation Y demonstrated strong technological knowledge and security practices but lacked awareness of digital risks. Generation Z excelled in monitoring activities but faced challenges in communication and usage policies, while Generation X showed strength in communication and risk awareness but required improvement in security settings and practical technology use. Educationally, mothers with advanced degrees had greater knowledge and risk awareness but struggled with application skills, while those with lower education levels exhibited lower proficiency overall. This study highlights the need for tailored interventions, including cross-generational training and targeted educational programs, to address gaps in parental digital literacy. These efforts aim to foster safer digital environments for children. Future research should explore socioeconomic factors and evaluate the long-term impact of interventions to enhance digital parenting.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) system has been implemented at PT XXX to improve operational efficiency, especially in monitoring the Ingersoll C1000 centrifugal compressor. This compressor produces high-pressure air that plays an important role in the nickel processing process. This system integrates the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol, IoT sensors, Teltonika RUT951 gateway, and Mosquitto broker to send temperature data in JSON format in real-time. This data is then visualized using AVEVA PI Vision, which provides trend-based information to support analysis and decision making. Previously, monitoring was only carried out locally without historical data, making it difficult to detect potential damage. Operators also had to conduct direct inspections to the field to check the condition of the compressor, which was time-consuming and inefficient. With this IoT-based system, data can be monitored directly from the head office, saving travel time and increasing operational productivity. Trials in a real operational environment showed that data transmission via MQTT was stable even in a limited network. Visualization in AVEVA PI Vision provides a real-time picture that supports early detection of anomalies and data-driven decision making. The results of this study indicate that IoT technology with the MQTT protocol is able to improve monitoring efficiency, optimize system performance, and provide innovative solutions to connectivity challenges in the industry. This implementation also opens up new opportunities for IoT applications in supporting operational efficiency and sustainability.

Abstract

Wi-Fi network performance is critical in a healthcare environment in a hospital, where efficient communication and access to information are essential. This study analyzes the performance of a Wi-Fi network in Gading Pluit Hospital using the Quality of Service (QoS) method. The main focus of this study is the evaluation of QoS parameters such as delay, jitter, throughput, and packet loss to identify areas that need improvement in the network infrastructure. The test results show that throughput has a stable network and packet loss is at a very good level which supports network stability. Delay is mostly in the good to very good category, although there are fluctuations. However, jitter shows significant variability in some locations, indicating the need for further optimization, especially for time-sensitive applications such as voice or video communication.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the risk of life insurance claim at PT Allianz Insurance Balikpapan Branch with descriptive qualitative approach. The data is analysed using the ISO 31000 method. The result of the study shows that ISO 31000 method helps to identify claim risk as a protection for the company. The risk assessment process is conducted in three stages: (1) identification since the submission of Insurance Application Letter and Participant's Statement, (2) analysis of frequency relationship and risk severity, and (3) physical and financial risk evaluation. In conclusion, the risk assessment of life insurance claims with the highest risk is fraudulent claims with the highest score. The implication of these findings is to increase the reliability of risk management processes that can strengthen company security, reduce potential financial losses, and increase customer confidence in insurance companies.

Abstract

This study utilizes Blender to design 3D exterior house models as a more effective promotionaltool. Using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, the process includes concept, design,material collection, production, testing, and distribution stages. Compared to conventional promotionalmethods, 3D visualization offers a more realistic experience, enabling potential buyers to deeplyunderstand the layout and architectural details of a house. Based on a survey of 30 respondents, 92%found the 3D design appealing, detailed, and suitable for promotion. Blender has proven to be anexcellent tool for creating realistic models with high-quality texture support. The study reveals that 3Dvisualization not only enhances the appeal of property promotion but also accelerates the decisionmaking process and optimizes marketing strategies. To provide a more immersive experience,developing interactive features such as virtual tours is highly recommended.

Abstract

In the application-based transportation industry, selecting the right vehicle for an online driver is a crucial factor in enhancing operational efficiency and income. The choice of a suitable vehicle is influenced by various factors, such as fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, purchase price, passenger capacity, and safety features. This study employs the action research method, starting from the planning stage to the evaluation stage. Meanwhile, the data processing method used to determine the most suitable vehicle for online drivers, based on the predefined criteria, applies the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The Naïve Bayes algorithm was chosen for its ability to classify data with high accuracy and its fast and efficient computational process. The results of this study indicate that out of 5 test data, 4 results matched the predictions, while 1 result did not. These findings demonstrate that the system can provide vehicle recommendations to online drivers with an accuracy rate of 80%, thereby assisting prospective drivers in making well-informed decisions.

Abstract

The widespread use of LPG gas in households and industries poses a leakage risk that can potentially cause fires. This study aims to develop a prototype of an IoT-based gas leakage detection and measurement device, enabling remote monitoring via the Telegram application. The research methodology includes needs analysis, hardware and software design, system implementation, testing, and evaluation. The results indicate that the developed system, utilizing the MQ2 sensor and NodeMCU, can accurately detect gas leaks and send real-time notifications to users. This system provides an effective early warning, enhances user safety, and overcomes the limitations of the human sense of smell in detecting gas leaks.
