Abstract

This research was discussed about the relationship between the development of the function of money fromthe stage of barter between two commodities, which are C and C’ and then become C-M-C’, when the moneyonce introduced. M - C - M’ happened when the businessman utilize the money (M) to produce commodityC, that will be sell to generate more money (M’). Last, the trading process of M - M’ that shown the capital orfi nancial market, just like the money or security market. The development of the function of money was shownby the changes of the money supply that weigh by the infl ation. Based on the data on 1990-2011 using theAnova and regression analysis, it is known that there were a difference between the currency money supply,demand deposits, and quasi money in Indonesia; The currency money supply didn’t have signifi cantly positiveeffect on the infl ation in Indonesia; The demand deposits didn’t have positive effect on the infl ation in Indonesia;and the quasi money have positive effect on the infl ation in Indonesia.Keywords: money nexus, currency money, demand deposits, quasi money, infl ation rate

Abstract

This study attempts to offer more insights into the dynamic nature of ecologicallyconscious consumer behavior. It also provides profiling and segmenting food purchase decisionmakers (mostly females) based upon ecologically-conscious consumer behavior. The data suggests that demographic criteria, media consumption, and green product source of information significantly influence the ecologically-conscious consumer behavior. Abstract

Organizational structure, tasks, and reward influence the activation of personal, relational, ann collective identity outcomes related to the awareness, influence, and individual behavior of a majority and minority group with inherent individual diversity on the organizational outcomes. Previous researches showed that diversity which was effectively managed could gave significant contribution to increasing human resources quality needed for achieving organizational outcomes according to the organization’s objectives. Abstract

Expanding global competition, rapidly changing market and technology, increasingcomplexity and uncertainty are creating a new competitive environment. To be successful in this globally competitive and rapidly changing environment, organization must formulate strategic plan that is consistent with their investment and technology. This research was conducted to investigate the relationship among manufacturing strategy, technology adoption, and firm performance. Data were collected through mailed questionnaires (525 questionnaires) and direct survey in 25 firms. The questionnaires were sent to 550 CEOs of manufacturing firm in Indonesia. A hundred and six responses returned and made a response rate of 19.27%. The study finds different results for hard and soft technology. Hard technology moderates the relationship between manufacturing strategy and operational performance, as a quasi moderator variable. On the other hand, soft technology has an impact on the manufacturing strategy-performance relationship as an independent predictor variable, but it does not moderate the relationship between manufacturing strategy and operational performance.Keywords: manufacturing strategy, technology adoption, operational performance, technology

Abstract

AbstractThis research is quantitative. The analysis technique used in this study is a partial least square (PLS). The results showed that working motivation has a positive and significant impact on Job Satisfaction, and also has a positive and significant impact on Affective Commitment. While job satisfaction has positive effect but not significant to Affective Commitment, Job Satisfaction proven that is not a variable intermediary between Work Motivation and Affective Commitment.Keywords: Work Motivation, Job Satisfaction, Affective Commitment

Abstract

The fundamental problems in this research were the less of quality of industrial permit services: inefficient, ineffective, irresponsive, and unfair. The cost of services were expensive, inappropriate with standard and also length bureaucracy enchain which must pass by, so that require bureaucracy commitment and Total Quality Management. The purposes of this research were to study and analyse the influence of Bureaucracy Commitment Towards Total Quality Management, Bureaucracy Commitment Towards Quality of Industrial Permit  Service,  Total  Quality  Management  Towards  Quality  of Industrial  Permit  Service,  Bureaucracy Commitment and Total Quality Management jointly Towards Towards quality of Industrial Permit Service in Medan North Sumatera. Research method which is used in this research is survey. Sampling technique is proportional random sampling. Technique of data analyse used is path analysis. Before using path analysis, data must be change into interval scale by Method of successive interval. Test of validity instrument used by  correlation  of  Pearson  and  test  of  reliability  used  by Coefficient  of  Cronbach.  Data  are  used  in  this research are quantitative and qualitative. The Results of this research show that Bureaucracy Commitment has positive influence on Total Quality Management, Bureaucracy Commitment has positive influence on Quality of Industrial Permit Service, Total Quality Management has positive influence on Quality of Industrial Permit Service, Bureaucracy Commitment and Total Quality Management jointly have positive influence on Quality of Industrial Permit Service in Medan North Sumatera.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to prove whether earnings management persists in prior to Seasoned Equity Offerings (SEO) at the Jakarta Stock Exchange. This research is conducted by comparing financial performances during periods before SEO of companies which execute seasoned equity offerings to those which did not. Samples for this research are companies listed in the Jakarta Stock Exchange during 1997 –2002. The hypothesis for this research is that the financial performances of companies executing SEO is higher than those companies not executing SEO. Proxy for SEO is the event of right issue. Current Ratio (CR), Debt Equity Ratio (DER), Return On Investment (ROI) ratio, Net Profit Margin (NPM) ratio, and Operating Profit Margin (OPM) ratio are used to assess financial performance. 47 companies make thesample of companies executing SEO during 1997 – 2002. For comparison, non-SEO companies are chosen from companies of similar industries and size as those of SEO companies.This research provides evidence that, on average, performances of companies executing SEO are higher than those companies not executing SEO, even though the difference is statistically insignificant. The conclusion for this research is that there are no significant financial performance differences between SEO companies and non SEO companies in the period prior to SEO. Abstract

Like in many countries, banking industry in Indonesia is more dynamic in the last decade. Level of marketcompetition among banks tends to increase continuously. This phenomenon has encouraged banks to createthe more advanced products and services to fulfi ll the growing needs of modern banking customers. Asthe monetary authority, Bank Indonesia has launched the Indonesia Banking Architecture to manage thesedynamics. IBA is a fundamental framework of banking system and provides a direction for banking operationalin Indonesia within 5 to 10 years. It is expected that IBA will create conducive environment which will enablebanks to improve their performance. This research is aimed to compare and analyze the performance of ninebiggest banks in Indonesia before and after the implementation of IBA in 2004. The performance indicatorsused are including ROA, ROE, NIM, CAR, LDR, and NPL. The data on these indicators are collected in theperiod of 2000-2009. The period of 2000-2004 is considered as before the implementation of IBA, while 2005-2009 is defi ned as after the implementation of IBA. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the implementation of quality control in printing company, causes defective product brochures, as well as knowing the quality control measures that can be implemented based on the analysis of Six Sigma DMAIC approach. We used production data spesific on number of defective product brochures PT Okantara in the period May 2013 - April 2015. The results of this analysis indicate the performance of the production process during the month of May 2013 - April 2015 resulted in sigma level is at 3.78. The root causes of the five factors that cause deviation by a factor method. Priority proposed repairs done on the potential causes are worth RPN 859 are factors working procedures in the corporate environment is not running properlyKeywords: Six Sigma, Quality Control, Product Defects, DMAICAbstrakPenelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melakukan analisis dari implementasi kontrol kualitas pada perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri percetakan dan grafika yang memiliki tingkat rata-rata pencetakan brosur cacat yang tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisis dengan pendekatan six sigma DMAIC. Data diperoleh dari PT Okantara pada periode Mei 2013 - April 2015. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperilhatkan kinerja proses produksi perusahaan pada periode Mei 2013 - April 2015 dengan sigma level 3.78. Abstract

Restructuring is suspected to be influencing perception of job insecurity. The jobinsecurity will have a negative impact on job satisfaction, organization commitment, and even turnover intention. When insecurity is conceived within someone’s perception, it will lower his or her job satisfaction and also commitment on the company. This research was conducted upon service (bank) and manufacturing companies which had run restructuring in the last four years. It involved 216 respondents with 78.2% of response rate. Simple regression and hierarchical regression analysis were used to analyze the data.An interesting finding of this research is that restructuring conducted in bank andmanufacturing companies has been found out to be having no influence on turnover intention. On the other hand, job insecurity perception does not influence job satisfaction, commitment, and turnover intention. In addition, this research came to a conclusion that organization commitment is an mediating variable between job satisfaction and turnover intentionKeywords: restructuring, job insecurity, job satisfaction, organization commitment, turnover intention, survivor.
