Abstract

Traffic light merupakan sebuah marka jalan yang digunakan untuk mengatur kelancaran lalu lintas di suatu persimpangan jalan, dengan cara memberi kesempatan pengguna jalan dari masing-masing arah untuk berjalan secara bergantian. Pada artikel ini dibahas penerapan prinsip kerja dari smart trafic light dengan mikrokontroler dengan tujuan mengurangi waktu tunggu para pengendara disetiap persimpangan. Ketika ke-empat simpang dalam keadaan kosong maka ke-empat simpang lampu akan tetap merah, apabila pada salah satu simpang ada kendaraan maka sensor LDR akan mendeteksi kendaraan tersebut, selanjutnya lampu secara otomatis akan hijau dan tiga simpang yang lainnya akan tetap merah, apabila pada simpang satu dan simpang dua ada kendaraan maka simpang tiga dan simpang empat akan tetap merah dan simpang satu dan dua tersebut akan hijau secara otomatis bergantian sesuai timer delay yang ditentukan, apabila ada kendaraan pada tiga simpang (simpang 1, 2 dan 4) maka lampu hijau akan melooping secara otomatis pada simpang tersebut searah jarum jam dengan delay yang ditentukan, begitu juga pada ke-empat simpang akan bekerja kondisi trafic light biasa dengan delay yang ditentukan searah jarum jam.

Abstract

General Hospital (RSUP) Dr. M. Djamil Padang is a class-A education hospital with the status of a Public Service Agency (BLU). As a hospital health care facility must maintain the quality of plenary services provided by medical personnel, both in terms of the quality of the physical environment and the quality of environmental health, one of them is the intensity of lighting. This study was to evaluate the intensity of lighting to minimize nosocomial infection in the operating room of Dr. M. Djamil Padang hospital based on National Standards for Hospital Accreditation by measuring directly to the study location and comparing with the results of calculations, then adjusted to Kepmenkes RI Standard number: 1204 / MENKES / SK / 2004 where for general operating rooms 300-500 lux, while for 10,000-20,000 lux operating lamps. From the measurement results and the results of calculations carried out it is known that between the intensity of the lighting with the large room is inversely proportional to the larger the room the resulting lighting intensity will be smaller, and vice versa the smaller the room the greater the intensity of lighting.

Abstract

Sistem tenaga listrik di Pulau Sumatera yang sudah semakin meningkat dari tahun ke tahun akibat pertumbuhan penduduk sejalan dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang terjadi. Hal ini menyebabkan trasfer daya dari daerah pusat pembangkit ke daerah pusat beban semakin tinggi. SUTT (Saluran Udara Tegangan Tinggi) merupakan salah satu media transmisi energi listrik yang paling banyak digunakan. Gangguan pada saluran transmisi dapat berakibat pada terhambatnya pasokan tenaga energi listrik. Gangguan pada saluran transmisi beragam, salah satu penyebab gangguan adalah sambaran petir. Pada artikel ini dibahas keandalan SUTT 150 kV berdasarkan Indeks keandalan sistem transmisi pada PT. PLN (Persero) Tragi Payakumbuh. Dari hasil perhitungan dan analisa didapatkan bahwa indeks keandalan sistem transmisi TLOD masih di bawah target yang ditetapkan. Sedangkan Indeks keandalan sistem transmisi TLOF melampaui target yang ditetapkan. Gangguan dari sambaran petir paling banyak selama tahun 2015 adalah sebanyak 12 kali dengan lama pemadaman 3,32 jam dan beban tidak tersalur sebesar 188.160, kWh.

Abstract

Short circuit fault current magnitude is affected by the disorder point distance, the greater distance the smaller the interference point of the fault current in short-circuited. Based on the analysis on the calculation of the value of setting TMS with existing field is still under appropriate conditions, the calculation of the value obtained at the feeders Banteng Tms OCR is 0.11 seconds while the data field is 0.1 seconds, and to the values calculated on the incoming side of the OCR TMS is 0,249 seconds while data in the field by 0.25 seconds. So also for the OCR setting on the incoming side is for the calculation of 952.63 A and for field of 1000 A. However, for the current setting of the OCR obtained at feeders is 609.125 A computed value that is much larger than the results on the field that is equal to 320 A. So it can be concluded that the existing OCR settings cannot be said to be a good setting in the field. Seen from TMS settings and current values, where the value of the setting on the feeder faster than setting the incoming. This is because if an interruption occurs, the feeders will be used to overcome the disorder so that interference can be minimized to the incoming side.

Abstract

Photovoltaic (PV) Microgrid is one solution to meet the electricity demand in remote areas and is difficult to reach by the PLN. This type of PLTS has advantages over the types of off grid Photovoltaic, especially in terms of installation and financing costs. One of the challenges in the application of PLTS microgrid is the process of monitoring power and performance of PLTS. Smart meters are one of the most potential solutions to be applied to monitor solar power plants. In this study, a prototype of a smart meter system from PLTS will be designed using the Arduino micro controller as a data processing module, ESP12 module as a communication module and ACS712 sensor as a current and voltage sensor.

Abstract

Induction motors are widely used in industry. One example is applied to elevators used in multi-storey buildings. In its application, the elevator uses the principle of forward and reverse circuits because there are options when the elevator goes up or down. Based on the description of the above problem then designed a prototype reversal control device rotation 3k phase induction motor based on ATmega 328p microcontroller board. The entire core system is controlled by Arduino Uno R3 (Microcontroller ATmega 328p) with Visual Basic version 6.0 software. The inverting process of a three-phase induction motor based on ATmega 328p microcontroller board can simplify the equipment and can be operated from a place far enough that it tends to be more efficient and sophisticated than the conventional way.

Abstract

Nowadays, to pass through the toll road, mostly riders often complain that the queue is quite long and quite long. Implementing Tool for Toll Payment Systems Using a Microcontroller-based Bar Code Reader is designed to facilitate transaction processing and make the time spent in the process of using the toll road more efficient. This paper describes the process of making automatic vehicle detection devices so that drivers do not need to stop to process the toll road usage. This tool is designed using a barcode reader as input data, Ethernet shield as an internet network (local), Arduino Uno as a process controller in sending data from barcode reader into SPT application, servo motor / as a driver to automatically open the gate and Android as notification/notification for toll road users. From the results of testing all input and output functions can be performed. In testing using a toy car unit, the reading distance of the barcode with the barcode reader is ± 7cm. In this case, the system can run well and has a pretty good performance because the barcode reader can read a maximum of ± 15cm.

Abstract

The electric power saving devices work using the working principle of the capacitors, which reduces reactive power and improve the power factor in home installations. However, based on research conducted by the authors in the Electrical Laboratory at State Polytechnic of Sriwjaya Palembang, the power saving devices can not reduce reactive power and improve the power factor on the circuit. This is because the value of the capacitor to the appliance does not correspond to the value of the total load on the circuit to be repaired, if the capacitor value is too large, the capacitor itself would be a load on the circuit. In this experiment load used is inductive loads ( L ), such as transformator lamp, television, and fan with a total peak power of 402 Watt and 315 VAR reactive power. After doing the analysis and calculation, the rating value of the capacitor is needed to reduce reactive power and improve the power factor of 0.78 up to 0.9 and reduce the reactive power of 315 VAR  down to 191.77 was 8.1 μF.

Abstract

Water stove is one type of development in the field of alternative energy by utilizing a water electrolysis process that separates water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen gas by flowing electric current into electrolytes (water fluid and NaCl catalyst) through Aluminum electrodes. Hydrogen and oxygen gas are used as fuel for water stoves to light a fire. Electrolyser is designed by using 4 tubes with maximum fluid per tube consisting of 250 mL water and 4 gram NaCl catalyst. The stability of the electrolysis process is regulated based on current flow and temperature in the process. Monitoring current using ACS712 current sensor and temperature control using a thermistor that is used as temperature control at the temperature of the tube area and then processed by the Arduino mega 2560 microcontroller. In the electrolyzer with a 12 Volt 21 A voltage source, the water stove can light a fire with a maximum current of 21 A (2 tubes in parallel with a maximum current of 10.5 A) and a temperature setpoint of 700 C. However, the current is too large and the temperature too high can cause heat and increase the electrolyzer chamber temperature and this negatively impacts the electrolyzer tube. Based on this explanation, a regulatory unit is needed in the form of current and temperature controls on the electrolyzer to prevent excessive evaporation of the tube and make the tube too hot and melt. With the current and temperature control and proper construction, the water stove is safer when operated by the user.

Abstract

Salah satu jenis gangguan arus listrik yang mengalir menuju generator dari dalam sendiri maupun dari luar generator sendiri. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah dengan cara memproteksi gangguan hubung singkat akibat arus listrik yang menuju belitan generator, sehingga gangguan tersebut dapat segera terisolir. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PLTU Teluk Sirih, dimana dilakukan evaluasi kemungkinan gangguan simetris pada terminal generator yang dapat mengakibatkan aliran arus yang tinggi dan tidak seimbang dalam sistem tiga-fasa sehingga mengakibatkan penyaluran energi listrik ke beban menjadi terganggu serta dapat merusak generator itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, gangguan ini menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam setting over current relay (OCR) yang terpasang pada generator, apabila terjadi gangguan pada terminal generator. Evaluasi berupa penentuan waktu pick up dan waktu operasi relay. Besar arus gangguan hubung singkat yang terjadi pada area busbar adalah sebesar untuk 3256,647 Ampere. Untuk arus setting OCR diperoleh sebesar 532,26 A dengan waktu setting 0,38 detik (ratio CT 600:1), sementara besar arus gangguan hubung singkat untuk keluaran generator adalah sebesar 42170 A. Begitu juga untuk arus setting OCR diperoleh sebesar 6074,728 A dengan waktu setting 0,35 detik (ratio CT 8000:5). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan setting OCR masih dalam kondisi baik.
