Abstract

This research compares the accuracy of the C4.5 algorithm and Classification and Regression Tree (CART) for prospective employees selection in companies. This research using dataset with criteria like age, working experience, recent education, marital status, number of abilities possessed, and the result of admission selection test. Testing uses 200 prospective employee selection data manually from a company. Algorithm testing using K-Fold Cross Validation and the accuracy calculation of the algorithm using Confusion Matrix. C4.5 algorithm has a level of accuracy, the success rate of the system, and the level of accuracy of the decision results of 52,83%, 41,48% and 43,98%, and CART algorithm is 53,33%, 44,06%, and 42,81%.

Abstract

Image enhancement is one of the most popular research topics currently in the field of image processing. Often image has poor quality caused by various factors such as lighting factor, enviromental factor or low quality of camera, and others. A number of these disturbances often become a barrier in improving the image quality where handling is the main objective of this research is done in the form of methodology base on the combination of AFF dan FBET algorithm. The result of the test on the proposed methodology show that in the process of noise loss continued with the image sharpening process obtained the value of PSNR = 18.56 dB is more optimal than the first done image sharpening process with the value of PSNR = 18.10 dB.

Abstract

The development of information increasingly strict follow the development of the era. The sooner the information the performance of a company and agencies considered to have a good performance in the eyes of the client and the community. Especially educational institutions ie colleges are increasingly growing especially in the academic system. These developments have an impact on the speed of information from the institution to the students and the outside community, especially the guardian of the students. For example from the student affair held a dies natalis event by making the booth and then invite the community around and guardian pupils. Information will quickly spread if using online media. Online-based information system used in this study is using the web.In addition, accelerate information from universities to students and other benefits society is as a medium of college promotion by creating a web profile college that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Seeing from these benefits the community makes online media used to promote their communities. One community that is in college STMIK AMIKOM Purwokerto is School of Writing Letters Amikom Purwokerto. To increase the number of members, the community requires online promotional media. From the results of this study can be concluded that the promotion through the web can increase the number of members of the community SKSP (School of Writing Letters Amikom Purwokerto)

Abstract

With the mission of improving the quality of human resources in information and communication technology, STMIK Mikroskil should monitor the academic quality of the students regularly so that graduate GPA is not low and the number of students who do not graduate on time increasingly minimal. The problem faced is the lack of standardized criteria among study program in the determination of the students' academic quality, causing unevenness and subjective tendencies. The study program managers also are not easy to get this information.This study is to propose a model and an application to determine the level of academic quality of students from various inputs, namely the percentage of attendance, failed mid / end of semester grade, GPA, the frequency of semester grade point decrease using fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic chosen because this method is suitable for handling subjective criteria. Fuzzy inference system method is mamdani. Defuzzification method is weighted average. The output is academic quality and type of action.The calculation result from the application program has been in accordance with MS Excel. Proposed system is expected to provide objective information about the academic quality of the students and can facilitate study program managers to control low academic quality.

Abstract

The development of digital information have caused the rise of information technology security to protect text data that contains secret. Steganography is one of many solutions for securing text data by hiding the text data on an image so that another party would not know the existence of such data. Criteria of a good steganography involves imperceptibility, fidelity, robustness dan recovery. One steganographic method is CD (Coefficient Difference), adopted from PVD (Pixel Value Differencing) which does hiding in spatial domain using difference of two pixel values that results in large modification of pixel values, reducing imperceptibility. Modulus function is used to solve such shortcoming in CD by using the modulus function on embedding, minimizing pixel modification during the process, resulting in improved imperceptibility. In this final project, IHWT (Integer Haar Wavelet Transform) are used to keep imperceptibility high. To improve the security, cryptographic method NTRU is applied on the secret message before it is hidden in image. The result showed that the combination of NTRU, IHWT and modulus function yields good imperceptibility, with PSNR value above 40 dB while the stego image resist salt and pepper noise attack of 0,002% and contrast addition of maximum amount one

Abstract

Internet technology has changed human life, one of which is by using the electronic platform for business transactions or called Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce). E-Commerce company owners must implement a long-term planning method. This method has been done by Jeff Bezos by using big data to do dynamic pricing. This method has proven to be able to increase sales on Amazon. Technology customizes prices / discounts for certain items in accordance with certain customers in real-time. Buy two different customers to buy the same item from an online store with two different prices. The dynamic pricing model consists of three bottom-up layers: the data layer, the analysis layer, and the decision layer.

Abstract

The use of information technology in an organization's business processes does not guarantee that the organization has been able to provide good IT services. This service needs to be measured from the level of maturity. Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a framework that can be used to measure the maturity level or intended maturity level. Accurate measurements certainly depend on a valid and reliable measuring instrument. The ITSM matrix is a measuring tool that has been internationally recognized in the ITSM and ITIL concepts. This research makes XYZ Higher Education the object of research. The basis of taking XYZ Higher Education is because these universities have used information technology in their business processes. However, problems are still found in the provision of IT services that have not met the expectations of IT Division and users. This can be seen from the percentage of reports on disruption that can be completed on time, only around 60% of the total reports submitted, and there is also a handling of reports of improper disturbances ranging from 19 - 29%. This is certainly a big concern that needs to be resolved by measuring the current level of IT services. After the measurement results using the ITSM matrix and guided by CMMI, it was found that the maturity level of the current IT service is still at level 1 (initial) where the service process runs ad-hoc and chaotic, and the success of the organization still comes from individual competence. This shows that XYZ universities, especially IT Division, need to improve IT services at a higher level in order to continue to improve IT services to users.

Abstract

The recommendation system is widely applied to various e-commerce. There are some problems that can cause the recommendation system to fail. This problem is about the massive vacuum of rating data (sparsity) and cold start. Therefore, the right recommendation method is needed to improve accuracy, so that the user can find the item according to desire.To achieve this goal, bipolar slope one is used to predict the rating. Bipolar slope one is used to predict the rating of an item. In predicting an item's rating, an item pattern is needed. This item pattern can be represented in the Assosiation Rule that found in the BW-Mine algorithm.The test was carried out with MAE involving 50 users of 200 items. The test results using MAE, obtained that sparsity has an influence on the accuracy of rating prediction generated in the recommendation system

Abstract

The use of technology in the world of education is an effort to improve the delivery of material to students. Mastery of PowerPoint as the popular tools in making teaching material is needed to be well understood by teachers in order to be able to arrange teaching materials in accordance with their respective fields. These training activities aim to increase understanding of teachers related to PowerPoint so that they are able to use it well. The descriptive statistical research method and the Quasi-Experiment One-Posttest research design were used to determine whether this activity was able to influence the teachers. The teachers were asked to do a pretest before being given treatment to then be given the posttest. The results of the tests showed an increase in teachers' understanding of PowerPoint as the increase in the average value from 74.67 to 76.13 as well as the increase in the percentage of those who got the A, B, and C values from 76% to 84%. Besides this, the even distribution of knowledge has also been increased by showing a decrease in the standard deviation value from 10.93 to 10.12. These can be concluded that this activity can improve teachers' understanding of PowerPoint.

Abstract

Most of recommender systems are based on content can be helpful to find recommendation book suitable for reader but it only consider about a liked book by user without considered about the disliked one. For solving the problem, a recommendation based on content of liked and dislike book by user is done. In this research, we applied Binary Particle Swarm Optimization(BPSO) to select feature from book that the reader like and K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN) are use for classify book data which had the closest distance to the book that the reader liked and disliked. Testing the accuracy of the recommendations is done by comparing the results of recommendations in the book data that do not apply feature selection with book data that applies selective features to test the effect of application of feature selection on book recommendations. The result of book recommendation accuracy testing with feature selection give a better recommendation for user than recommendation without feature selection.
