Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) is one of many problems that mostly found in women of childbearing age and pregnant women. CED is a condition where an individu is lacking of energy intake for a long time continuously. Based on basic health research, CED prevalence had increased from 13,6% to 20,8% within 2007 till 2013. CED doesn’t only affect the individu itself but also affect the next generation. CED is related to low birth weight infant and stunting incidence. There are many factors contribute to CED, one of them is media. This research aims to find the relation between media influence and chronic energy deficiency in college students. This research used analytical observational method with cross sectional approach in female college students of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Lampung University. The respondents of this research were 190 female college students who met the inclusion criteria. Instruments used in this experiment were Media Influence Scale dan measuring tape. Data collected were analyzed by univariate and bivariate method. There are about 38,95% female college students were CED and 61,05% were not CED and most of the respondents stated that media has no influence (63,7%). Based on bivariate analysis, the p value between media influence and CED risk was 0,006. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between media influence with CED risk.

Abstract

Eye irritation is an inflammation of conjunctival layer caused by exposure of irritant substances such as chemicals. Chlorine in swimming pool water is one of the chemical substances that can cause eye irritation complaint at a certain level and time. This study aims to determine the relationship between eye irritation with contact time and swimming pool chlorine levels. The research design was quantitative with cross sectional method, with sampling technique of consecutive sampling. There were 96 participants. Chlorine levels were tested with chlorine meter then eye complaint and contact time were taken from the questionnaire filling. The analysis test was performed by using chi-square test. There was correlation between eye irritation with chlorine level with result of chi-square test p value = 0,002 and odds ratio equal to 4,577. There was correlation between eye complaint with chlorine contact time with chi-square test p value = 0,04 and odds ratio 2,857. Conclusion: Participants with chlorine exposure more than standard were at risk 4,577 times to have eye irritation than participants with chlorine exposure at standard. Participants with chlorine exposure more than 15 minutes were at risk 2,857 times to have eye irritation than participants with chlorine exposure less than 15 minutes.

Nutritional conditions are one of the causes of the high morbidity of diarrhea in children. Poor nutritional conditions will have an impact on disruption of growth, mental development and intelligence of children and increase the likelihood of infection in children. In this case family medicine approach needs to be done to identify risk factors and clinical problems in patients, as well as to conduct holistic and comprehensive management with the application of evidence based medicine family doctors through a patient centered approach and family approach. The study conducted was Case Report. Primary data were obtained through alloanamnesis and physical examination by making a home visit, and filling in patient files. Secondary data was taken from the patient's medical record. The assessment is based on an initial holistic diagnosis, process and end of visit. Based on the final holistic diagnostic An. V had acute diarrhea, some dehydration and malnutrition, internal and external risk factors were found. Patient weight is very low (malnutrition), lack of family knowledge of the illness suffered and lack of awareness of cleanliness and balanced nutrition are the main factors of the problem. The family is given intervention by medical treatment and counseling using leafleates. Then an evaluation a conclusion can be drawn that there is an increase in knowledge about disease, hygiene and balanced nutrition

The assessment in this case is based on a holistic diagnosis from the beginning, process, and end of the study in a qualitative and quantitative manner. 56-year-old patient with male sex comes with complaints, cough with phlegm Accompanied by shortness of breath lost arise, since 5 days ago. On physical examination obtained blood pressure 160 / 90mmhg breathing frequency 24 times per minute. In the thoracic region examination there is a Barrel Chest, widening of the rib cage, normal vesicular, positive rhonchi, negative wheezing. Internal factors in the form of age 56 years male gender lack of knowledge about COPD disease and hypertension, the purpose of treatment and the prognosis of the disease suffered. . Abstract

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a chronic lung disease that can be prevented and treated, which is characterized by air flow resistance that is not completely reversible. COPD in Southeast Asian countries is estimated at 6.3% with the highest prevalence found in Vietnam (6.7%) and China (6.5%). While in Indonesia, according to data from the Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) 2018, the national smoking prevalence for people aged ≥ 10 years is 28.8% and for aged 10-18 years is 9,1 %. Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and most often manifests in the lungs. In Indonesia, TB is a major public health problem. The number of TB patients in Indonesia is the 3rd largest in the world. The study conducted was a case report. Primary data was obtained through history taking and physical examination by making home visits, filling family folders, and filling patient files. The assessment is carried out based on a holistic initial diagnosis, process, and end of the visit quantitatively and qualitatively. Patients were diagnosed with COPD from the history taking and physical examination. As well as supporting examinations. Patients do not have enough knowledge of the disease they are suffering from. Patients have a habit of smoking one pack per day. In the patient's environment there are neighbors who are taking TB packages. The patient's work environment is exposed to smoke from burning trash and dust when sweeping the yard. Abstract

Diarrhea is the discharge of stool with a watery form and with more frequencies than usual. Diarrhea is a leading cause of death in children in developing countries with an interpretation of 1.3 billion events and 3.2 million deaths of toddler each year. Diagnosis of diarrhea is required, including complete blood count examination, serum electrolyte, urea and creatinine levels, faecal examination, and Enzym-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) giardiasis and serological test of amebiasis, and x-ray images of the abdomen. Stool examination and examination of blood leukocyte counts are closely related to the etiology of diarrheal diseases. The design of this study is comparative analytic with cross sectional approach to 16 DM patients and 16 subjects with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT). The data taken is primary data in the form of blood test result. The variables of this study are DM patients and subjects with IGT and the platelet indices (MPV and PDW-CV) of the two groups. A total of 19 respondents with elevated blood leukocytes with microscopic examination of bacterial/parasitic faeces were 17 respondents or 47% and with non bacterial/parasitic infections there were 2 respondents or 6%. Of the 17 respondents who did not increase blood leukocyte level there were 4 respondents or 11% with bacterial/parasitic infection and 13 respondents or 36% with infectious causes other than bacteria/parasite. Chi-square test results obtained ρ value = 0.00 ≤ α = 0.05. There is correlation between blood leukocyte count of microscopic examination of faeces in patients with acute diarrhea age 2-5 years.
