We report equilibrium and non-equilibrium conductance of terphenyl molecules with different anchoring groups including sulfur and nitrogen atom. The corresponding molecules are terphenyl-dithiols (TPDT) and diamino-terphenyl (DATP). The non-equilibrium Green's function (NEGF) technique has been implemented on the density functional tight-binding (DFTB) code to perform computations of the electronic transport properties of molecular devices. The NEGFs are used to compute the electronic density self-consistently with open boundary condition naturally encountered in transport problem which is imposed by the potentials at the contacts. As result, the value of the molecular conductance with amine groups is higher about ten times than the thiol anchored group.

This paper presents the characterization of excitation source LEDs and sensors without filters for measuring fluorescence in fluorescein and green leaf extract. For this purpose, eight light-emitting diodes (LEDs) were used with the following characteristics: one blue, one green, one red, one infrared, and four violets. The first four LEDs were used as sensors without filters to detect fluorescence induced by the other four violet LEDs in 11 samples of different fluorescein concentrations and in 14 samples of different dilutions of green leaf extract. The results show that infrared LEDs can detect the red emission of green leaf extract and red and infrared LEDs detect the fluorescence of fluorescein in concentrations of up to 1.8 μM. The developed system allows and facilitates teaching optical spectroscopy in basic education without incurring high costs.

Negative resistance devices have attracted much attention in the wireless communication industry because of their low cost, better performance, high speed, and reduced power requirements. Although negative resistance circuits are non-linear circuits, they are associated with distortion, which may either be amplitude-to-amplitude distortion or amplitude-to-phase distortion. In this paper, a unique way of realizing a negative resistance amplifier is proposed using a single metal-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MESFET). Intermodulation distortion test (IMD) is performed to evaluate the characteristic response of the negative resistance circuit amplifier to different bias voltages using the harmonic balance (HB) of the advanced designed software (ADS 2016). The results obtained are compared to those of a conventional distributed amplifier. The findings of this study showed that the negative resistance amplifier spreads over a wider frequency output with reduced power requirements while the conventional distributed amplifier has a direct current (DC) offset with output voltage of 32.34 dBm.

The development of network communication technology is currently developing rapidly, one of which is the use of LED lights that are not only used as lighting in the room but can also be used as a medium of data communication between users through light media. VLC is the latest innovation in the field of data communication that is currently being developed where the process of sending data used light media.. The simulation of sending data using VLC can be done on the transmitter and receiver side by using Visual Studio application as an application that can visualize the process of sending data. By using this system the process of sending data every bit from transmiiter to the receiver can be seen so that the success rate of sending data can be easily seen by the user. system used arduino Uno as microprocessor. From the test results obtained the success rate of displaying images sent by the transmitter is 100% with a maximum distance of 50 cm with an image capacity of 20 KB with a delivery time of approximately 30 minutes.

Facing the news on the internet about the spreading of Corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is challenging because it is required a long time to get valuable information from the news. Deep learning has a significant impact on NLP research. However, the deep learning models used in several studies, especially in document summary, still have a deficiency. For example, the maximum output of long text provides incorrectly. The other results are redundant, or the characters repeatedly appeared so that the resulting sentences were less organized, and the recall value obtained was low. This study aims to summarize using a deep learning model implemented to COVID-19 news documents. We proposed transformer as base language models with architectural modification as the basis for designing the model to improve results significantly in document summarization. We make a transformer-based architecture model with encoder and decoder that can be done several times repeatedly and make a comparison of layer modifications based on scoring. From the resulting experiment used, ROUGE-1 and ROUGE-2 show the good performance for the proposed model with scores 0.58 and 0.42, respectively, with a training time of 11438 seconds. The model proposed was evidently effective in improving result performance in abstractive document summarization.

Detection of air bubbles in the blood is important for various medical treatments that use Extracorporeal Blood Circuits (ECBC), such as hemodialysis, hemofiltration and cardio-pulmonary bypass. Therefore a reliable air bubble detector is needed. This study presents the design of a new fault tolerant air bubble detector. Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) method is used on the sensor section. A voter circuit of the Triple Modular Redundancy will choose one of three sensor outputs to be processed further. Application of Triple Modular Redundancy will prevent errors in the detection of air bubbles, especially if the sensor fails to work.

Sea turtles have existed for millions of years. International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has reported that the Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) is classified as critically endangered. Turtle excluder device (TED) deployment on shrimpnet fisheries is needed for turtle conservation.TED using sound technique is challenge method in fisheries development. The knowledge on turtle hearing capability is limited. The auditory brainstem response (ABR) assessment is method to determine turtle hearing capability. Turtle hearing assessment is basis to design TED. The objective of this paper is to determine turtle hearing cability by analyze its ABR spectral. The subject is Hawksbill turtle with number 2 turtles ie: 3 and 2 years. The measurement was taken at Pusat Pengurusan Penyu (Turtle Management Centre) Padang Kemunting Masjid Tanah Melaka Malaysia. The results shows that turtle 3 years have peak power frequencies 50.78, 101.6, 152.3, 304.7, 355.5, 457, and 507.8Hz respectively whereas the spectral amplitude is ranging 0.03-32.44% spectral. Local multipoint distribution service (LMDS) system provides high bitrates services up to 40 Mbps operating in millimeter bands. The radio system can be employed to serve heterogenous traffics in any applications such as video surveillance, public internet hotspots and other services. However, the implementation in tropical area faces transmission problems which degrade signal reception, such as heavy rain. This paper examines the performance of heterogenous traffics in LMDS in a rainy environment. Some techniques to tackle rain ploblems were implemented and the effects were assesed. It was proven that PHY and MAC layers contribute to performances enhancement on rainy environment as long as the system uses the suitable scheduler. A packet-based scheduler was proposed by considering packet impact on quality. The results showed that the proposed technique is able to improve video performance about 0.02% over the maximum signal to noise (mSNR) scheduler, maintain voice decoding rate as well as the priority fair (PF) scheduler and increase data decodibility 0.2%.

Mathematics and science are two important subjects for students to do well in school. Unfortunately majority of the students are having difficulties in coping with these subjects. Malaysia is ranked third lowest in the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) for mathematics and science. An emotionally disturbed student seems to have problem coping with the learning of mathematics and science thus it is important to identify the demotivating factors affecting the performance of such students. In this paper, it analyze the correlation of precursor emotion towards student interest in learning mathematics and science using electroencephalogram (EEG) device. This correlation and their respective emotion can be analyzed based on the 2-D Affective Space Model (ASM) using four basic emotions of happiness, calmness, fear and sadness as reference stimuli. EEG device was used to extract brain waves signal while answering the mathematics and science questions. The EEG signals were captured on the scalp of the student and features extracted using Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC). Neural network classifier of Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) was used to classify the valence and arousal axes for the ASM. Preliminary results show the relationship of precursor emotion and the dynamic emotions of the student while taking the mathematics and science test. We hope that these results can help us further relate the behavior and interest of students towards the learning of mathematics and science.
