Abstract

Academic resilience is a critical capacity that enables adolescents to cope with academic challenges and sustain performance under pressure. Grounded in Social Support Theory, this study examines the association between father involvement and academic resilience among late adolescents. A total of 385 participants aged 16–18 years (78.7% female) completed validated measures of father involvement and academic resilience. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings revealed a significant positive association between father involvement and academic resilience (R = .637, R² = .405, F = 261.0, p < .001), indicating that higher levels of father involvement are associated with greater academic resilience. These results underscore the role of fathers as a salient source of social support that may enhance adolescents’ capacity to cope with academic demands. This study extends prior literature by highlighting the specific contribution of father involvement, rather than general parental support, within a non-Western adolescent context. Practically, the findings emphasize the importance of promoting father engagement in adolescents’ academic lives through family- and school-based initiatives to foster adaptive academic functioning.

Abstract

This literature review examines the current state of research on the concept of letting go within the framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Islamic psychology. While previous studies have explored letting go as psychological acceptance and emotional regulation in Western psychotherapy, there remain gaps in understanding its integration with spiritual and transcendental dimensions, particularly within Muslim populations. The review synthesizes empirical and conceptual findings from peer-reviewed studies published between 2016 and 2026, retrieved from DOAJ, Scopus-indexed journals, and other relevant scientific databases. Major themes identified include ikhtiar as purposeful effort, tawakkal as reliance on God, sabr as patience in adversity, and ridha as spiritual acceptance of outcomes. The review highlights that these constructs correspond with psychological flexibility in ACT, while also extending it by incorporating religiosity-based meaning-making processes. Methodological trends indicate a predominance of qualitative and conceptual studies, with limited empirical and longitudinal research. Theoretically, the integration of Islamic psychology and ACT offers a culturally grounded expansion of acceptance-based models. Practically, the findings provide a foundation for developing culturally sensitive psychological interventions for Muslim populations. This review underscores the need for future research employing experimental designs, longitudinal approaches, and psychometric instrument development within the domain of Islamic psychological flexibility.

Abstract

This study examined the effects of work–life balance and perceived organizational support on quiet quitting among Generation Z employees in Karawang, Indonesia, from the perspective of person–organization fit theory. As Generation Z increasingly enters the workforce, organizations are experiencing shifts in workplace dynamics and employee expectations, particularly regarding work flexibility, meaningful work, and an inclusive organizational environment. Misalignment between employees' personal values and organizational culture may reduce motivation and emotional engagement, thereby increasing the likelihood of quiet quitting behaviors. A quantitative research design with a causal approach was employed. The participants consisted of 205 Generation Z employees (born between 1997 and 2007) working in Karawang, Indonesia. Data were collected using the Quiet Quitting Scale, the Work–Life Balance Scale, and the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support and were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings revealed that work–life balance and perceived organizational support jointly exerted a significant effect on quiet quitting, explaining 24% of the variance. Furthermore, both independent variables individually demonstrated significant negative associations with quiet quitting. These findings suggest that Generation Z employees who experience better work–life balance and stronger organizational support are less likely to engage in quiet quitting behaviors. The study contributes to the organizational behavior literature by extending the application of person–organization fit theory in explaining quiet quitting among Generation Z employees and offers practical implications for organizations seeking to enhance employee well-being and work engagement through supportive organizational practices.

Abstract

This study examined the influence of the Islamic Work Ethic (IWE) on Employee Loyalty among employees of KSPPS BMT Yaqawiyyu from a values-based organizational psychology perspective. Although previous research has consistently demonstrated positive associations between the Islamic Work Ethic and employees' work attitudes and behaviors, the specific contribution of each IWE dimension to employee loyalty remains insufficiently understood. A total of 82 employees of KSPPS BMT Yaqawiyyu participated in this study. Data were collected using the Islamic Work Ethic Scale and the Employee Loyalty Scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results revealed that the multidimensional Islamic Work Ethic had a significant simultaneous effect on Employee Loyalty (F = 33.1, p < .001), explaining 56% of the variance in employee loyalty (R² = .560). Partial regression analysis indicated that only the Work as the Manifestation of Aqidah dimension exerted a positive and statistically significant effect on Employee Loyalty (p < .001). In contrast, Work Based on Knowledge (p = .253) and Work by Emulating Divine Attributes and Following Allah's Guidance (p = .262) did not significantly predict Employee Loyalty. These findings support the multidimensional conceptualization of the Islamic Work Ethic and suggest that perceiving work as an act of worship, together with the alignment of employees' spiritual values with organizational values, constitutes a key psychological mechanism underlying employee loyalty in Sharia-based organizations.
