Abstract

Penelitian ini pada dasarnya memiliki tujuan akhir untuk menemukan metode yang tepat untuk digunakan di dalam mata kuliah piano dasar yaitu penggunaan metode analisis kesalahan. Metode ini diyakini mampu untuk memperbaiki kualitas kemampuan bermain piano mahasiswa sehingga di dapat hasil lebih memuaskan. Bermain piano membutuhkan latihan yang terus menerus dan berkesinambungan, tanpa adanya latihan bermain piano yang terus menerus disertai dengan kemampuan teori dasar musik yang baik maka kemungkinan besar hasil yang didapat kurang bahkan jauh dari memuaskan. Ketika proses pembelajaran piano di kelas sedang berlangsung, dimana satu orang mahasiswa berhadapan secara pribadi dengan satu orang dosen  banyak hal yang terjadi dalam diri dan pikiran mahasiswa. Bermain piano menuntut kemampuan berpikir baik kognitif juga psikomotorik. Sebelum bermain piano, ada beberapa tahapan yang harus dikuasai oleh mahasiswa antara lain: menguasai pembacaan notasi balok pada dua tanda kunci G dan kunci F, menguasai variasi pola ritem, menguasai letak nada pada tuts piano. Jadi ada tiga tahapan penting yang harus dikuasai mahasiswa secara teori sebelum mahasiswa memainkan atau mempraktekan piano tersebut. Apabila ketiga tahapan ini sudah dikuasai mahasiswa maka proses pembelajaran piano akan berjalan dengan sukses. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran piano, metode analisis kesalahan

Abstract

Seiring dengan maju dan berkembangnya dunia tehnologi dan informasi membuat banyak perubahan drastis di sana sini. Terutama sekali bagi generasi muda saat ini sudah mulai ada pergeseran gaya hidup dan tingkah laku yang lebih menyukai bahkan tergila-gila dengan trend dunia Barat. Salah satunya menyukai musik barat sehingga lambat laun sudah tidak mau mengenal bahkan mempelajari musik tradisi sendiri khususnya musik tradisi yang ada di  delapan etnis Sumatera Utara.Musik tradisi Indonesia khususnya yang ada di Sumatera Utara memiliki peminat yang sangat besar di Luar Negeri. Turis mancanegara bahkan sangat mengagumi dan sangat antusias mempelajari musik tradisi Indonesia. Melalui mata kuliah Musik Nusantara inilah penulis mengajak mahasiswa khususnya angkatan 2011 kelas A agar mau mengenal, mempelajari, dan menguasai musik tradisi yang ada di Sumatera Utara. Usaha Ini merupakan suatu langkah kecil bagi penulis namun memiliki manfaat yang sangat besar untuk kedepannya. Salah satunya ikut melestarikan warisan budaya Indonesia yang adi luhung. Abstract

The aim of this classroom action research was to investigate the effectiveness of process approach in increasing students’ essay writing ability. The writer found in her classes that the students didn’t know how to develop the topic when they asked to write an essay. The subjects of this research were the students of English Study program who took writing III. Before the treatment was conducted, the subjects were given pre-test and after ten times treatment, post-test was held. Four steps were conducted to this research: planning, action, reflection, and revision/evaluation. The result showed the mean score of pre-test was 54.02 and the post-test was 79.2. In other words, this research proved that process approach can be one of the alternatives way in teaching essay writing.   Key words:  process approach, thesis statement

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan sintaksis bahasa Jepang tulis mahasiswa Sastra Jepang FIB USU. Objek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Sastra Jepang tingkat III yang berjumlah 30 orang. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode analisis kesalahan. Metode analisis kesalahan adalah metode untuk mengukur kemajuan belajar bahasa dengan mencatat dan mengklasifikasikan kesalahan-kesalahan yang dibuat oleh seseorang atau kelompok. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori analisis kesalahan yang disarankan oleh Ellis (1987). Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan kesalahan bidang sintaksis yang mencakup kesalahan penggunaan kata keterangan dan partikel, kesalahan struktur frase dan kalimat, serta kesalahan penggunaan urutan kata bilangan.Kata kunci: Kesalahan (error), Bahasa Jepang Tulis

Abstract

For the past few years, undoubtedly due to China’s growing economic status, there has been a significant increase in the number of students learning Chinese. As a third language in university curricula in Malaysia, it also enjoys a popularity never seen previously. From the angle of didactics, therefore, it is indeed of particular importance to carry out a multi-perspective research on motivations of Malaysian learners behind choosing Chinese as a foreign language. Based upon our experience, there is a remarkable gender difference in this field. This study examined these differences in motivation for learning Chinese amongst undergraduate students in Malaysia. A representative sample of 75 participants was selected from elementary level Chinese classes at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. Findings of the investigation, based on a questionnaire, were analyzed by the software ‘IBM SPSS Statistics’. The analysis of the data revealed that female participants look at the practicability of the language when learning Chinese, whereas male participants are motivated primarily by their social responsibility and the learning situation. An overall analysis of the variables showed that male participants received a higher mean value in ‘learning situation’ only, and female participants were rather dominant in respect of ‘individual development’, ‘social responsibility’, ‘task value’, ‘information medium’, ‘self-efficacy’ and ‘intrinsic interest’. Through awareness of these gender-driven differences, both teaching and learning efforts can be optimized in the didactics of Chinese at universities in Malaysia.

Abstract

Language inquisitiveness seems to be unstoppable till today. Investigation into aspects keeps going around across time and space. In further development of language research after age-based language use studies, currently  language enthusiasts’, especially sociolinguists, are  eager to find out  language use according to gender such as how language is used by male and female. Whether or not men’s language  and women’s language show broad differences in the way they do and say things has become another interesting thing to look into. More specifically,  such research is aimed at finding whether there are certain features of female and male language expressions which show distinct characteristics due to the two kinds of gender. However, information about the framework as the basis for finding the language features of both genders is still inadequate to many.  This paper will present information which is obtained from a number of sources to help language gender researchers carry out research on that current issue. Some pieces of information related to language gender discussion which covered are 1. A Brief Account of the Women’s Liberation Movement and Its influence on Language and Gender study. 2 Language Use Equality . How Men and Women Use Language. What aspects of language use can be elaborated between Women and Men? Abstract

This research study contributes to ability to understand the ability to read articels. The population of this study are all students of Department of Languages an Literature of Indonesia, with  a sample of 40 people who had been assigned randomly/rendom technique of the population. The resesearch instrument used was a questionari form an objective reading ability as mucah as 40 question form and test the ability to create articles of 500 words. The realize the above objetives, this study used the descriptive methid ( a method that attempt to slove one answer to the problems being faced at present) correlational statistical analysis trough a formula of Pearson Product r and the formula coefficient of determination . Based on data analysis techniques, the research found, there was a positve and significant reading habits with students writing articles Indonesian Language and Literatur, State University of Medan.  This show better the reading habits of students, it will cause increasing students ability to write articles Indonesian Language and Literature, State University of Medan. The average Department of FBS Unimed is 74.2 category of B (Good). The average value of students ability to understand article Department of Language and Literature, State University of Medan is 77.8 category very good. Correlation test result showed that reading significant correlation with the ability to undertsand the article in the 5% significance level is r calculate > r tabel that is 0.396<0.67> 0.505, wich means that there is a significant positve relationship habits of reading on the ability of the ability   to write article.

Abstract

Abstract Clustering is making a visual map the students to think creativity. This research aims to determine whetherclustering technique affect students’ vocabulary mastery or not.The design used in this research was QuasiExperimental. The population in this research were all class VII Mts Al-Washliyah Tanjung Haloban 2018/2019 academic year consisting of 84 people. The research sample was taken using a saturated sample technique with the experimental method. Test was used as the instrument in this research. The test were pre-test and post-test.The mean of student learning outcomes using clustering technique is 78.36 with a standard deviation of 7.18 while those that do not use is 59.52 with a standard deviation of 14.86. from the difference of mean values from real level a is 0.05 indicates that students who get treatment clustering technique is better than those who don't get it. so that it can be seen that the use of clustering technique affect students' vocabulary mastery at Mts Al-Washliyah Tanjung Haloban Academic Year 2018/2019. Keyword :Vocabulary and Clustering technique

Abstract

Pendidikan Guru dalam proses belajar mengajar mempunyai fungsi ganda, sebagai pengajar dan pendidik, maka guru secara otomatis mempunyai tanggung jawab yang besar dalam mencapai kemajuan pendidikan. Yang pada umumnya, rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam bidang studi bahasa dan sastra Indonesia selalu dikaitkan kepada rendahnya kompetensi mengajar guru. Untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, Depdiknas merumuskan kompetensi sebagai pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan nilai-nilai dasar yang direfleksikan dalam kebiasan berpikir dan bertindak. Kompetensi seseorang guru terdiri dari (Hanalik, 2002) kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi kemasyarakatan, dan kompetensi profesional. Ketiga jenis kompetensi tersebut saling berhubungan secara terpadu dalam diri dan karakteristik perilaku guru, dengan demikian akan mencerminkan potensi guru yang benar-benar tidak saja memiliki kemampuan mengajar dan memiliki kemampuan kegiatan sosial tetapi juga memiliki kepribadian yang baik dan mampu melakukan penyesuaian sosial dalam masyarakat. Guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia yang berkompeten juga akan mampu menjadi seorang seniman dalam kelas. Guru harus mengembangkan ide-idenya berdasarkan keadaan dan situasi yang selalu berubah. Dengan dikembangkannya standar kompetensi guru kiranya harus digunakan sebagai acuan bagi penyelenggaraan pendidikan dalam melakukan pengukuran kinerja guru untuk mendapatkan jaminan kualitas guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran.   Kata Kunci : Guru Bahasa, Sastra dan Tuntutan Kompetensi
