Abstract

This article aims to find out how the interaction of teachers and students in developing student discipline in citizenship learning at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach by collecting data through observation, interviews and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the discipline character of students at SMK Negeri 5 Padang is still not good despite the formation of discipline character by the citizenship teacher. The process of teacher and student interaction in fostering the character of student discipline at SMK Negeri 5 Padang through four stages, namely 1) making rules / agreements in learning citizenship between citizenship teachers and students, 2) Implementation of discipline by students, 3) punishment for students who violate disciplines in citizenship learning and 4) Coaching follow-up. Through this research, it is expected that efforts to increase teacher and student interaction and self-improvement / personality of students, teachers must provide instructions, how to implement discipline properly, provide guidance and assistance to students. This study recommends further research on self-concept in discipline so that it becomes a habit in students.

Abstract

The banking industry in Indonesia is increasingly crowded with the emergence of banks operating under sharia principles. Although in general almost all banking products offered by Sharia banking and conventional commercial banks are relatively the same, in reality they both have different operational principles, especially in terms of efforts to obtain profits. In addition, the development between Sharia banking is not as expected given the population of Indonesia, which is predominantly Muslim. Sharia banking are far behind conventional banks. The aim of the research was to find out the perceptions of the people of North Sumatra on Islamic banking through surveys in 4 major cities namely Medan, Binjai, Langkat and Deli Serdang which were considered to represent the Muslim population in North Sumatra. This study used a quantitative descriptive survey and study . The survey is used to obtain a comprehensive picture of people's perceptions of Islamic banking in North Sumatra. Quantitative descriptive study, used to explore strategies and considerations used by Islamic banking to the community.The results of the study show that the three independent variables have an influence and it can be seen that the service variable is the main variable that contributes most to its relationship with the results of public perception on the two research objects on Banking.

Abstract

Adaptation depends on the structure or physical behavior of an individual that increases his ability to survive in his habitat. Whatever helps him survive in the environment he occupies includes the cultural and social community. Remembering adaptation refers to the ability to adapt to various conditions in their environment. This study aims to analyze the cultural adaptation and social adaptation of ethnic Chinese communities in theory and practice. Then clarify the important role that culture plays in enabling adaptation, and show how community-based cultural and social adaptation is well placed. Besides that it also measures the typical starting point of good community development by emphasizing community participation, kinship systems, individual welfare, culture, community and adaptation. For this reason, in particular this research relies on thoughts that have emerged from observations about the cultural and social role of society in individual lives. The results of this study indicate that the Chinese ethnic has been able to adapt to the cultural and social adaptation of the community well in the city of Palembang. This ability can be seen from the socio-economic life, society and culture of ethnic Chinese who are able to survive with the capital of developing business ventures and working in the political field. In addition, the Chinese are also able to adapt structurally and culturally by following the cultural and community development of Palembang City.kkan

Abstract

The 1945 Constitution as the constitution of the Republic of Indonesia is the supreme law which serves as a guideline for lower laws and for state administrators and the wider community. The amendments to the 1945 Constitution were only limited to the achievement at the written constitution stage, not yet reached the living constitution stage. The constitution should begin to be implemented consistently and consistently. In fact, until now there is still a gap between the constitution on paper and the constitution in reality. The neglect and lack of understanding of the constitutional points still occur in real life including students in disadvantaged areas. To encourage the realization of students' understanding of constitutional awareness in the school, community, national and state environment, the Pancasila and Citizenship Education teachers can become parties who educate students to become children of the nation who have a culture of constitutional awareness through the appreciation of the noble values of Pancasila.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the requirements of recipients of the family hope program (2) the implementation of the family hope program in education (3) the implementation of the family hope program in the health sector. This research was carried out in Bandar Sono Village in 2019. The population in this study were all residents in Bandar Sono village who had implemented the Hope Family Program of 442 KPM (Beneficiary Families). The sample is determined 20% of the total population so that the sample is 88 KPM. Data collection techniques used were direct communication / interview techniques. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed (1) Requirements for recipients of the hope family program in Bandar Sono village did not fully qualify as recipients of the hope family program because there were 12 KPM that were not included in poor households. (2) Implementation of the family of hope program in the field of education with attendance of more than 85% of the effective days of school every month. Thus the implementation of the family of hope program in the field of education has been going well. (3) the implementation of the family hope program in the health sector has run well and all participants of the family hope program have been helped in meeting the needs in the health sector.

Abstract

To overcome the problem of education quality, the government issued a zoning system policy on New Student Admissions. This study aims to described the implementation of zoning system policies and constraints faced in implemented the new student admission zoning system policy at the junior high school level in Langkat District. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects of this study were the Middle School Curriculum Head, Middle School Curriculum Staff, Head of Elementary Education, Deputy Head of Student Affairs, Deputy Principal The technique of collecting data used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The implementation of the zoning system in the PPDB at the junior high school level in Langkat District has been carried out for two years aimed at equitable distribution of quality education in schools in the Langkat Regency, so far the implementation of the zoning system in Langkat has been effective because the potential of students begins to be evenly distributed in the Langkat Regency. (2) The constraints faced in the implementation of the zoning system are the lack of understanding of the zoning of the socialization of the zoning system because of the different backgrounds of parental   education. Efforts are made to overcome these obstacles, namely  to disseminate the zoning system early as clearly as possible.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender roles in childcare of families in Jawa-Jawa Ethnic, Jawa-Sunda Ethnic, and SundaSunda Etnic. Javanese-Javanese Ethnic and Sundanese-Sundanese Ethnic family as the main study that will show a mixture of values, culture, and behavior in Javanese-Sundanese Ethnic families. The study uses qualitative descriptive to approach with the case study research techniques. Data collection was obtained through observation, interviews, research studies and documentation studies. The results of the study shows that the differences gender roles in childcare of the Javanese-Javanese ethnic families, the Sundanese-Sundanese ethnic families, and the JavaneseSundanese ethnic families caused by habits, the way of life, and values are still embraced by each family. Based on the culture of its respective ethnicity The role of gender in the family is functioning but there is also a dysfunction where one of the roles are not practiced by men or women in parenting. Thus, it is, although the two ethnicities have coexisted for decades, the people still see differences in childcare caused by the application of the values in each family.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the determinant factor model of competence of graduates of private Islamic tertiary institutions in the city of Medan. The population in this study are all Private Islamic College Students in Medan. The respondents will be taken 135 respondents. Data collection in this research was conducted by means of interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis method used was the Structural Equation Model. The results showed that Foundation Management affected Governance, Foundation Management affected Lecturer Performance, Foundation Management affected graduate Competence, University Governance affected Lecturer Performance, University Governance affected Graduates' Competence, and Lecturer Performance influenced Graduates Competence. Private Islamic College in the City of Medan. Foundation Management influences Lecturer Performance and Foundation Management influences graduate Competence through governance and University Governance influences graduate Competency through lecturers' performance in Private Islamic Universities in Medan.

Abstract

This research aims at describing the process of community service program implemented by the lecturers of Education and Teachers Training Faculty of Universitas Lancang Kuning using Context, Input, Process, dan Product (CIPP). The method of the research is descriptive analysis with no actions, manipulation or changed the data of independent variables. It truly describes the result of evaluation of the Community Service Program Implemented by the lecturers of Teachers Training Faculty of Universitas Lancang Kuning using Context, Input, Process, dan Product (CIPP). The instrument used for collecting the data is questionnaire. It was given to the lecturers who implemented the program in Academic Year 2017/2018. Based on the data analyzing, it was found that the achievement of Community Service Program Implementation was 80 %, categorized into good. Then, the result of this research is expected can be a reference for deciding and implementing a particular method and procedure relates to quality improvement of Community Service Program Implementation handle by lecturers of Education and Teachers Training Faculty of Universitas Lancang Kuning.

Abstract

At time advances in technology today, the public can directly supervise the performance of employees in government institutions., therefore the demands of working professionally must be realized in daily activities by the state civil apparatus. Considering the importance of the quality of the performance of the state civil apparatus for the progress of the nation and state, this study aims to analyze and describe how the performance of the state civil service, especially in the scope of the Regional Secretariat of Muara Enim Regency based on the specified performance indicators. This research is qualitative in nature, starting with the determination of respondents as sources of information (informants) until a descriptive analysis is carried out on the data obtained and grouped according to each indicator. The number of informants is twentyfive (25) people and the number of indicators is eight (8) items. The results showed that 59.4% of employee performance was acceptable or good, meaning that it was feasible to meet the criteria of quality of work, quantity of work, timeliness, discipline, effectiveness, independence, work in teams and responsibilities. While the remaining 40.6% of employees are rated as not having good performance. Some factors as determinants of employee performance include educational background, experience, ability to adapt, creativity, loyalty, and work ethic. There are still employees who have low competence, lack of willingness to learn, low competitiveness and lack of creativity, making employee productivity low.
