The research is about migration movement by Sahabat Hijrakuu community as a new social movement of young Muslims in Medan. The objective of the research was to find outits patterns through some articulation typology of Islamic social movement. The research used qualitative method, and the data were gathered by conducting observation, interviews, and library research.The result of the research shows that the development of migration movement is the series and the collective awareness of young Muslims in Medan in the post-Islam Defense Action movement.Referring to articulation typology of Islamic social movement, it is accurate if its pattern is positioned as religion based-social movement since its idea is based on religious attitude of its initiators as a spiritual response to social and spiritual condition of young Muslims in Medan.

The purpose of this study was to find out how the level of communication, organizational culture, and employee performance, and to determine the effect of communication and organizational culture simultaneously or partially on employee performance in the head office of PT. Telkomsel. The research method used is a quantitative method. Primary data collection techniques with interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Samples were selected as many as 92 employees from a total population of 1,194 employees using simple random sampling technique with the Slovin formula. The analysis technique in this research is descriptive analysis, classic assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis and coefficient of determination test. Descriptive analysis results show that communication, organizational culture, and employee performance at the head office of PT. Telkomsel are classified as good. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t test shows that the communication variables and organizational culture partially have a significant effect on employee performance. While simultaneous hypothesis testing with the F test shows that simultaneous communication and organizational culture significantly influence employee performance. The magnitude of the influence of communication and organizational culture on the performance of PT. Telkomsel is 66.42% and the remaining 33.58% is influenced by other variables.

This article aims to describe how the model of integrated political education based on the five qualities of the Padang branch of the Islamic Student Association (HMI). The problem is focused on the Padang branch HMI integrated political education model. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data is collected through documentation studies, interviews, observations, and FGD (focus group discussion). Data were analyzed using data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data presentation and decision making. Data validity was tested by source triangulation. This study concludes that the integrated political education model based on the five qualities of the HMI aspirants of the Padang branch is based on the objectives of the HMI with formal, non-formal and informal forms of political education.

In general, the rich man becomes an entrepreneur and owns a company while those who run the company are workers and in general the entrepreneur sets up his company for profit. The advantage can be achieved in the company if high productivity and cost savings are incurred by the entrepreneur. Usually one of the ways of savings done by employers is not raising workers 'wages or adding workers' facilities such as not providing work clothes, not providing transportation money and others. The policy of the employer in his company that does not increase the wages of workers and facilities, even though productivity is demanded so that high will harm workers. Workers are generally in a weak position and this is due to more job seekers than available job openings. If vacancies are balanced with job seekers, the bargaining position between employers and workers has the same position. Weak workers in working relationships with employers requires government intervention as coaches, supervisors and protectors for workers and employers. The existence of interference from the government in employment relations for the production process of goods and or services is already an industrial relationship.

This study aims to determine whether the application of inquiry learning method can improve student learning outcomes in class XII MIPA I Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan 2019/2020 Academic Year. This research is a classroom action research study consisting of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used were observation and test. The test consists of pretest, posttest Cycle I, and posttest Cycle II and observation includes the activities of teachers and students. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes. The improvement process can be seen starting from the initial test with the breakdown of 49 students obtained by 15 students (30.61%) who received complete scores, while 34 students received incomplete grades. In the first cycle post-test, it increased to 30 students (61.22%) who received complete marks, while 19 students (38.78%) received incomplete grades. In the Post Cycle II out of 49 students, 47 students (95.91%) received complete marks, while 2 students (4.09%) received incomplete grades. Thus it can be concluded that the application of inquiry learning method can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Civics Education majoring in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan in 2019/2020 Academic Year.

This study aim to explain phenomenon of Arab spring that occurred in Syria and describing the triggering factors of conflict Syria and the analysis of Alawie group in Syria. The type of this study uses a qualitative approach with the literature study method, because the data collection techniques used make books and documents related to the Arab spring in Syria as a reference frame, as well as some data from a valid website. Data analysis techniques through three components, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions in which data verification is also accompanied by triangulation of data sources. The results showed that the phenomenon of Arab spring that occurred in Syria converged on inter-ethnic conflict that occurred between the Sunni-Alawie, then triggered by the phenomenon of Arab spring that spread in the Middle East.

The program for strengthening character education is only carried out in several pilot schools so that there is not much information available to what extent character education has actually been carried out in other schools, especially in non-piloting schools. This study aimed to measure the feasibility of strengthening character education in non-piloting schools. The population in this quantitative descriptive study was teachers at junior high school in Malang. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The subjects involved in this study were six teachers of Junior High Schools 20 of Malang, Junior High Schools 27 of Malang, and Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School. Data collection used questionnaires and analysed descriptively statistically. The results of the study showed that the three schools have implemented character strengthening programs seen from the ten assessment components i.e. pre-assesment, programme socialization, vision, programme design, class-based implementing, school culture strengthening, social partisipation, core value implementing, and evaluation. These results indicated that character strengthening has become a positive habit but not yet optimal. The results of this study can be used as a basis for identifying appropriate follow-up steps for improving achievement of character strengthening in schools.

This research aims at understanding and explaing conflicts that take place in the virtual world. Twitter is chosen as a sample because it is one of the most widely used social media many so-called netizens use both for positive and negative purposes. One of the negative effects that twitter brings about is rampant hate speech. Data is collected by shooting screen that contain hashtag #2019gantipresiden and #2019tetapjokowi. Perspective used in this research is Lewis Coser’s conflict theory. Unlike other researches that focus on the impact of internet-mediated interaction, this reseach offers a new perspective that considers virtual world a space where each individual interacting in it gets involved in a negotiation process with other individual or a group of individuals. Conclusions drawn from this reseach are as follows : (1) if it comes to conflict, the nature of virtual - real worlds relation is diadic one; (2) things that occur in the virtual world can be managed to be realized in the real world and vice versa; (3) virtual world is an imaginary space constructed by groups of individuals due to interaction barrier in the real world.

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of adversity quotient on entrepreneurial success. The population in this study were all entrepreneurs in the Tanjung Rejo Village, Medan Sunggal District and the sample was the total population of 101 respondents. This type of research in this research is quantitative associative research. The data in this study consisted of primary data obtained through a questionnaire while secondary data were obtained from Tanjung Rejo Sub-District, Medan Sunggal District, which was then processed and analyzed by regression analysis. The results showed that adversity quotient influences entrepreneurial success. Adversity quotient in an entrepreneur is a person's ability to face various difficulties and process those difficulties with their intelligence so that they can be resolved. Adversity quotient can help entrepreneurs to strengthen their ability and perseverance in dealing with various problems or difficulties when carrying out their activities as an entrepreneur. Based on the data obtained it can be concluded that adversity quotient influences entrepreneurial success.

This article aims to develop the animation media of hero Sisingamangaraja XII which is digitally packaged in the 4.0 era of students so that they can enhance the national character of national heroes in their regions. The location of the study was conducted in the first semester students of the basics of developing social studies material at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Medan State University. Research refers to Borg & Gall's research and development research theories and models. The development model is summarized into three stages of activities namely (1) a preliminary study, namely: observation and study of literature. (2) Development is carried out by making scripts, storyboards and making video animations. (3) The evaluation phase consists of evaluating the media and material experts and evaluating small groups. This media deserves to be utilized with the results of the validation of 85% of instructional media experts and product trials. This shows that this animation media is very populated as learning media of the digital era 4.0, especially learning materials, Fundamentals of Social Sciences material.
