Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the function of Public Relations (PR) in carrying out the activities of corporate social responsibility (CSR). This study also examines whether the PR function involves implementation, development, dissemination and promotion and CSR activities to support the achievement of corporate goals. The method used in this study is qualitative methods by implementing the design of case studies. The data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentary studies, and participant observation. The Respondents in this study are the stakeholders in PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Area III West Java and Banten. The result of this study indicates that the PR function can work synergizely with CSR to support the achievement of corporate goals. CSR activities can support the function of PR in creating a positive image and foster a harmonious relationship.

Abstract

Studi penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh motivasi terhadap kepuasan kerja dan komitmen organisasi serta kinerja karyawan PT. MNC Sky Vision (Indovision) Semarang. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengungkapkan dan menganalisis pengaruh motivasi terhadap kepuasan kerja; motivasi terhadap kinerja; kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja; motivasi terhadap komitmen organisasi; kepuasan kerja terhadap komitmen organisasi; komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja. Langkah pengujian empirisnya dengan tiga tahap. Model pertama adalah outer model, model kedua yaitu inner model dan model ketiga yaitu weight relation. Jumlah sampel dengan rumus slovin sebanyak 45 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Metode pengambilan data dengan penyebaran kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi karyawan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja, komitmen organisasi dan kinerja karyawan, dan kepuasan kerja karyawan berpengaruh terhadap komitmen organisasi dan kinerja karyawan, serta komitmen organisasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. The study purposes to analyze the effect of motivation on job satisfaction, performance organizational   commitment, the influence of job satisfaction on performance  and commitment, the effect of commitment on performance. The sampling method is purposive sampling and questionnaires are used to collect data from 45 respondents. The respondents are the employees of PT. MNC Sky Vision (Indovision) Semarang. Data analysis uses three step tests that are testing outer model, inner model and weight relation. The results show that motivation affect job satisfaction, organizational commitment and employee performance. Moreover job satisfaction influence organizational commitment and performance. Meanwhile organizational commitment affects employees’ performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of market orientation towards innovation, the effect of market orientation on performance, the effect of innovation on the performance and innovation mediating role of market orientation on corporate performance convection in Denpasar. This study took a sample of 123 respondents who market their products in the city of Denpasar. The analysis technique used in this study is the path analysis. Results of market orientation hypothesis testing showed positive and significant impact on innovation, market orientation and significant positive effect on company performance, innovation and significant positive effect on company performance. Innovation is able to mediate the relationship of market orientation on business performance significantly. The practical implications derived from this study that the orientation of the market is able to create innovations that will directly improve the performance of the company. Employers convection in Denpasar should develop a culture of orientation on the market so as to boost innovation by adapting new ideas oriented market changes in order to achieve improved performance of the company

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengungkap pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap budaya organsiasi, kerjasama tim dan kinerja organisasi. Tugas dan peran seorang pemimpin di tingkat unit organisasi sangat menentukan kualitas kerja. Fakta di lingkungan perguruan tinggi menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua pimpinan mampu memahami Prodi secara utuh. Sampel ditentukan dengan proportional random sampling berjumlah 139 orang. Variabel penelitian meliputi gaya kepemimpinan, kerjasama tim, budaya organisasi, dan kinerja organisasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket, analisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel gaya kepemimpinan tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja organisasi prodi, tetapi berpengaruh tidak langsung melalui budaya organisasi dan kerjasama tim. Variabel kerjasama tim berpengaruh langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui budaya organisasi, terhadap kinerja organisasi Prodi. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah pimpinan mengembangkan budaya kerja melalui pemberian contoh, sikap dan perilaku dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya yang ada di fakultas, jurusan dan prodi. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of leadership styles on an organizational culture, teamwork and organizational performance. Behavior and how a head department plays a role of a leader will determine people work quality. There are findings that in universities, not all leaders are able to comprehensively understand what program department scope’s is. The sample was determined by proportional random sampling totaled 139 people. The variables of study include leadership styles, teamwork, organizational culture, and organizational performance. Data were collected by questionnaires, analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed leadership style variable does not directly influence organizational performance of program department, but indirectly through the influence of organizational culture and teamwork. Teamwork variables impact directly or indirectly through organizational culture to organizational performance of program department. Suggestions from this research are there is a need to develop the leadership culture through example, attitude and behavior in utilizing existing resources in the faculties, program departments and unit program.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between store environments consisting of social cues, design cues, ambient gestures, and merchandise cues and their impact on cognitive and affective consumer evaluations of stores and merchandise that will influence approach behavior. The retail industry in Indonesia has increased inevitably. This development is predicted to continue to increase to 8% by 2018. As a result, stores are competing to offer new and unique experiences for both cognitive and affective customers. Over the past decade, similar research has rarely been done. In addition, item cues variables are also rarely mentioned in previous studies. Therefore, this study aims to explain more about merchandise cues. The basis of this research is quantitative method, using descriptive research type with research object Foodmart Primo Maxxbox Lippo Village. The sample size involved 200 respondents selected by applying purposive sampling. After data collected, the data were analyzed by using structural equation modeling (SEM). There are three out of 12 hypotheses that were not supported in this study. The three hypotheses are the relationship between ambient cues with consumers’ cognitive evaluation of the store, and no relationship between consumer cognitive evaluation and approach behavior. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the market reaction which was measured by abnormal return variable and trading volume activity (TVA) around the dividend announcement. The population of this study was all companiess dividend announcement which their shares were listed on Indonesia Syariah Securities List published in 2013, they were 40 companies. The samples were taken from all population. The data were analyzed by one sample t-test to test the market reactions which occurred during event window for 21 days; they were t-10 (10 days before the dividend announcement), t0 (at the dividend announcement time), and t+10 (10 days after the dividend announcement). Based on the research results, it can be seen that there was a market reaction around the dividend announcement which was measured by abnormal returns variable and trading volume activity (TVA).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior pegawai Dinas Koperasi dan UMKM. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Dinas Koperasi dan UMKM yang berjumlah 136 dengan sampel sebanyak 58 responden. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode stratified random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner. Sedangkan metode analisis datanya menggunakan analisis deskriptif presentase, analisis regresi berganda dan pengujian hipotesis melalui uji simultan dan uji parsial. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara komitmen organisasi dengan OCB. Terdapat pengaruh yang positif kepuasan kerja dengan OCB sebesar dan terdapat pengaruh yang positif variabel komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap OCB pegawai. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap OCB. This study aims to determine how much the influence of organizational commitment and job satisfaction toward Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of Cooperatives and SME employees. The study population was all employees of the Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, amounting to 136 with a sample of 58 respondents. The stratified random sampling is used as sampling method. Method of data collection is done by questionnaire. While the methods of data analysis using percentage descriptive analysis, multiple regression analysis and hypothesis testing through simultaneous testing and partial test. The results of the study are: the effects of organizational commitment toward OCB positively, the influence on job satisfaction toward OCB positively, and the influence on the variable of organizational commitment and job satisfaction toward OCB employees positively. The results of this study concluded that there is the influence of organizational commitment and job satisfaction toward OCB.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the antecedent of job satisfaction on job satisfaction, the influence of leadership style, organizational commitment and job satisfaction on turnover intention and whether job satisfaction was able to mediate the relation of antecedent of job satisfaction on turnover intention. The respondents in this study were employees at consulting firms in Semarang. The analysis instrument in this research was the multiple regression. The study showed that leadership style and organizational commitment had positive influence on job satisfaction. The other result of this study showed that leadership style, organizational commitment and job satisfaction had negative influence on turnover intention. With the proven fact of the influence of leadership style, organizational commitment and job satisfaction on turnover intention, the managers of consulting firms, therefore, should use leadership style that fit with employees, should try to increase the organization’s commitment to employees so they knew that they were a part of the organization and to maintain their membership in the organization and should improve employee satisfaction in order to reduce the turnover intention among employees.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi, menganalisis praktik pengelolaan lingkungan pada sentra industri kecil dibandingkan best practices dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja lingkungan di Kabupaten Pati. Kajian difokuskan pada pengelolaan lingkungan secara efektif dengan melibatkan variabel inisiatif lingkungan, keterlibatan karyawan, dan integrasi dengan supplier. Populasinya adalah seluruh perusahaan Industri Kecil di Kabupaten Pati. Sampel berjumlah 97 perusahaan. Teknik sampling menggunakan kluster sampling, dengan sampel pada sentra industri kecil di Kabupaten Pati.  Analisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan praktik pengelolaan lingkungan pada sentra industri kecil di Kabupaten Pati belum dilaksanakan secara optimal. Sementara itu, variabel integrasi supplier berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja perusahaan.The purpose of this study is to identify and to analyze an environmental management practice which is compared to the best practices in order to improve environmental performance in the industrial centers in Pati District. This study focuses on managing the environment effectively by involving environmental initiative variables, employee involvement, and integration of suppliers. Population in this study was all small industrial enterprises in Pati regency which has 97 companies as data samples. Data were collected by using cluster sampling techniques, and samples were taken from small industrial centers in the District of Pati. Data were analyzed by using descriptive and comparative methods. Results of this study showed that environmental management practices in small industrial centers had not been implemented optimally. Meanwhile, supplier integration variables influenced directly toward corporate performance.
