Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of credit, bank capital, capital structure, efficiency and risk toward the profitability in banking industry. Bank has an important role in the economy in Indonesia in 2014. The purposive sampling technique was used in this study to filter the samples according to several criteria such as being public at least in 2008, and publicly released the financial statement from 2008-2013. The total sample of 25 banks. Multiple regression technique was used in this study to analyze the data. The results show that credit, bank capital, and capital structure positively influence the profitability. This result supported by the previous research. The other finding shows that efficiency and risk have significantly negative effect on profitability. Bangking has an 80 percent market share in the financing of intermediation function of the entire financial system.Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh antara kredit, permodalan bank, struktur modal, efisiensi dan risiko terhadap profitabilitas pada industri perbankan. Bank mempunyai peran penting dalam ekonomi Indonesia 2014. Teknik sampling penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling, dengan kriteria bank bank telah go public sebelum tahun 2008, mempublikasikan laporan keuangan tahun 2008-2013. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 25 bank. Teknik analisis yang digunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kredit, permodalan bank dan struktur modal berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas dengan arah positif. Hasil lainnya adalah variabel efisiensi dan risiko berpengaruh signifikan dengan arah negatif terhadap profitabilitas. Perbankan memiliki market share 80 persen dalam sistem keuangan.JEL Classification: G3, G32

Abstract

This study explores the most significant determinant of capital structure towards the value of manufacturing companies in Indonesia. Multiple regression models were used as statistical tools to investigate the most significant determinants of the firm value of manufacturing companies in Indonesia for a sample of 300 manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The results showed that profitability, company size, dividend, investment, and innovational performance were positively related to firm value. Debt was negatively related to firm value and dividend was an insignificant firm value determinant. Meanwhile, the influence of innovational performance variables mediating the effect of investment on firm value showed that the role of mediation innovational performance was able to increase the influence of total investment on firm value. Furthermore, empirical findings will help company managers to make decisions about the attempts to increase the firm value.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to test the direct influence of high performance work system toward the affective commitment and indirect influence of high performance work system toward the affective commitment with procedural justice as the mediating variable. It was a survey research by distributing the questionnaires to 93 employees which were taken randomly. The data were analyzed by line analysis. The result of the study showed that high performance work system gave positive and significant influence toward the affective commitment with procedural justice as the mediating variable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kepuasan mahasiswa pada layanan akademik program studi (Prodi) dan program pascasarjana (PPs) , Mendeskripsikan kinerja akademik program studi dan program pascasarjana, Mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang mendukung kinerja akademik prodi dan PPs. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PPs aktif S2 semester 2 berjumlah 621 orang. Sedangkan sampel penelitian diambil secara simple random sampling berjumlah 102 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap layanan akademik baik pada lingkup Prodi maupun lingkup PPs tergolong dalam kategori baik, Deskripsi hasil kinerja akademik Prodi, secara umum termasuk kategori baik, Berdasarkan hasil deskripsi enam indikator kinerja akademik PPs, secara umum rata-rata berada pada kategori baik.  Kinerja akademik PPs ditentukan oleh indikator sarana prasarana pendidikan (tangibles), kehandalan dosen dan staf (reliability), sikap tanggap dosen dan staf akademik (responsibility), perlakuan dosen dan staf pada mahasiswa (assurance), pemahaman terhadap kepentingan mahasiswa (emphaty), dan kepuasan mahasiswa (satisfaction). Saran yang diberikan hendaknya Program pascasarjana perlu mendorong peningkatan jumlah dosen dengan kualifikasi doktor (S3) sehingga layanan akademik perkuliahan dapat meningkat dan berdampak pula pada kinerja akademik secara keseluruhan.This study aimed to describe student satisfaction in the service of academic of study program  and graduate programs , describing the academic performance of study program and graduate program,  describes the factors that support academic performance of study program and graduate program. The population are active graduate students who are in second semester, the  total number is  621 people. While the study sample is taken by simple random sampling, total sample is 102 people. Results show that student satisfaction for academic services in both  study programs and graduate programs are  in  good category.  Description of academic performance results of study programs  in general are in good category.  Based on the description of the six indicators, academic performance of graduate programs is  good.  Graduate programs academic performance  are determined by  education infrastructure (tangibles), lecturers and staff reliability (reliability), responsiveness to lecturers  and academic staff (responsibility), treatment of lecturers and staff to students (assurance), understanding the benefit of students (empathy), and student satisfaction (satisfaction). Based on the results, Graduate program needs to increase number of lecturers  with doctoral qualifications  so that services can be improved academic lectures and have impact the overall academic performance

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the differences in the company’s performance before and after privatization. This study also examined the differences in performance before and after privatization on specific sub-samples of the data which is based on privatization method. Government policy of carrying out the privatization toward SOEs is still pro and contra. Various Privatization methods offer its weaknesses and strengths. There are different opinions on the best method for SOE privatization in Indonesia. The population is all companies which execute the privatization method. Secondary data were used namely financial statement which was taken from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the company’s website. Data were analyzed using normality test data. In addition, the paired t-test by using normally distributed data assumption was used to test the hypothesis. The results showed that Direct method privatization positive and significant changes in measuring Total Asset Turnover. Performance conducted Privatization through the capital markets showed different results. Test on the capital market method of data showed a similar effect with an analysis on the entire data (without separating the privatization method used) that occur significant performance degradation, especially in measuring Total Asset Turnover, Debt Ratio and Return On Equity. Conducted Management/ Employee Buy-Out (MBO) privatization implied a substantial reduction in measuring Debt Ratio and Return on Equity Performance.

Abstract

Protecting the environment has become a main idea for some modern companies in applying the green marketing strategy. Many consumers perceive that a product with natural raw material can give a better benefit both in terms of health issue and environment. The purpose of this study is to find out the role of attitude in mediating consumer knowledge influence towards the purchase intention of green product Ever-E 250 in Denpasar.The samples were 110 respondents from all over Denpasar taken with the purposive sampling method and path analysis. The result of the study shows that consumer knowledge has significant and positive influence towards the attitude and purchase intention of green product Ever-E 250. The attitude variable has been proven to be able to mediate consumer knowledge influence towards the purchase intention of green product Ever-E 250 in Denpasar significantly, while the mediation happen is partial, so that the attitude variable functions as a mediator of consumer knowledge influence towards the purchase intention of green product.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kinerja keuangan konvensional; Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Residual Income (RI), dan kinerja keuangan yang lebih modern; Economic Value Added (EVA) terhadap return saham pada perusahaan-perusahaan dalam industry makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus, karena semua perusahaan dalam industry makanan dan minuman digunakan sebagai sampel. Namun dalam proses samplingnya mengunakan metode purposive sampling, yaitu menggunakan sampel dengan criteria-kriteria tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Return on Asset (ROA) dan Residual Income (RI) berpengaruh positif dan secara statistik signifikan terhadap return saham pada level signifikansi 1%. Sedangkan Return on Equity (ROE) berpengaruh negative dan secara statistik signifikan terhadap return saham pada level signifikansi 10%, dan Economic Value Added (ERA) berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap return saham.This study aims to test the effect of conventional financial performance i.e. Return on Asset (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Residual Income (RI), and the more modern financial performance which is Economic Value Added (EVA) toward stock returns on companies in the food and beverage industry listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sampling technique in this study uses the census method, all companies in the food and beverage industry are used as a sample. The process of sampling using purposive sampling method. The result shows that Return On Asset (ROA) and Residual Income (RI) are positive and statistic significant impact on the stock returns at significance level 1%. While the Return on Equity (ROE) is negative and statistic significant impact on the stock returns at significance level 10%, Economic Value Added (EVA) is positive and statistic not significant impact on the stock returns.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examined the anomalies on the efficient capital market. However, research that combines January Effect, the day of the week Effect, and size Effect of getting a complete and clear picture of the phenomenon on the market is still limited. The variables used are stock returns, trading days, company size. This study uses linear panel regression. The January Effect hypothesis in The Indonesian Capital Market does not support, whereas the combined test conducted to differentiate the behavioral pattern of the days of the week Effect and the size Effect in January and Non-January months.  The study proved the hypothesis which states that seasonal pattern dominated occurs in January trading months, while the size pattern occurs in Non-January trading months. In the future, the arguments about the emergence of the day of the week Effect phenomenon in the Indonesian capital market by revealing the role of investors and essential information as factors that cause the phenomenon to arise. Further studies should continue to use all listed stocks but use a more extended period.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the concept of spiritual-based leadership in solving the controversy of empirical research results. This leadership relies more on spiritual intelligence in its leadership activities, and maintains ethical values and divine values. The population is all employees who come from 13 Baitul Mal Wa Tamwil (BMT) in Semarang City. Samples is set at 100 people as respondents. The sample that is feasible to process is 79 samples. While the sampling technique is stratified sampling technique, then each sample is selected using random sampling. Testing of hypothesis is using linear regression analysis method with program SPSS Version 16.0. The results showed that the spiritual-based leadership has positive and significant effect on the em-ployee performance at BMT in Semarang City proved acceptable. This means that spiritual-based leadership can be said to have a role as a predictor in improving employee performance. For the next, The reseach can develope to improve performance by another variable. The vari-able like another leadership style and spiritual motivation.
