Abstract

This article discusses the experience UGM Tourism Diploma Course in assisting the people of Karangasem Hamlet, Village Muntuk, Dlingo subdistrict, Bantul, the pioneer of rural tourism since 2014. The vast majority (95%) Karangasem Dusun community for decades is hereditary has become a bamboo craftsman, with a product that initially only the tray and place the rice and then developed into a variety of furniture and other household needs. Seeing the local potential, Tourism Diploma Program UGM thought to encourage communities to develop tourism in the village. Moreover, in addition to the potential of culture held, this village also has the potential of nature tourism in the form of a view of the landscape, streams and pine forests. The smooth passage of the two-year community development activities is due to the character of the people who want to move forward and not money oriented. But over time, the tourism activities that are profit-oriented will inevitably push changes the character of the community. This paper would like to see further how community strategies to deal with monetesasi Karangasem and map out strategies UGM further prepared to continue to assist the people of Karangasem with characters that might change in building a tourist village in the hamlet. The method used to collect data in this descriptive study is participatory and interviews while this article is presented with descriptive analytical.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) know the implementation of Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) Assisted by Card 4-1,  (2) improve student social skills (3) increase social sciences learning outcome of IX F graders at SMPN 1 Kandeman Batang with the implementation of TGT Assisted by Card 4-1.This is a class action research using the spiral design of Kemmis & Taggart. Research subject is 37 students of IX F graders of SMP Negeri 1 Kandeman Batang in genap semester academic year of 2014/2015. There are 2 cycles in this research, each of which consists of two meetings. Each cycle uses 4 stages, they are: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The action in cycle 1 uses card          4-1 with the materials of geographical elements and population in South East Asia. Cycle 2 uses card 4-1 with the material of earth surface division as continent and ocean. The research is conducted from January to March 2015. Data collecting technique used in this research is: (1) observation, (2) interview, (3) learning outcome test, (4) documentation, and (5)field note. The instrument used is (1) observation guidance for teacher and students, (2) interview guidance for students, (3) exercise sheet for learning outcome test, and (4) daily journal. Data analysiss uses qualitative analysis. The results of the research are: (1) The cooperative TGT Assisted by Card 4-1 learning model can be implemented in social sciences learning of IX F graders at SMP N 1 Kandeman Batang, there is average increase from 6 cycles of TGT, the average score of cycle I is 68,75 (good) and cycle II is 85 (very good) (2) there is average increase of 10 indicators of student social skills, the average score of cycle I is 51,30 (skilled), cycle II is 76,80 (hihgly skilled). (3) there is an increase in the result of students' social sciences learning, learning mastery at cycle I is 72,97% with the average score of 74,86, cycle II is 86,49% with the average value of 85. With the implementation of Teams Games Tournament Assisted by Card 4-1 in each cycle, there is a significant increase in social skills, that is, giving opinion on some topic being discussed, giving opinion with the language that can be understood by other students, giving opinion well and politely, giving opinion in solving group problems, accepting other member's opinion as long as relevant with the topic being discussed, keep the peace of group forming. Thus, the implementation of Teams Games Tournament Assisted by Card 4-1 in social sciences learning can comprehensively increase student learning outcome.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang efektif sangat menentukan keberhasilan sebuah pendidikan. Efektivitas pembelajaran tidak terlepas dari sarana dan prasarana yang memadai tak terkecuali sumber belajar berupa buku atau media pembelajaran. Seiring perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat dibutuhkan buku referensi yang memuat berbagai macam informasi dalam satu kemasan. Bahan ajar interaktif POSDAHUT menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan referensi yang memuat banyak informasi tersebut. Melalui penggunaan bahan ajar interaktif POSDAHUT dalam pembelajaran di kelas maupun penugasan di rumah di dapat angka efektivitas sebesar 84,26% dengan kategori baik. Angka ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar interaktif POSDAHUT sangat efektif dalam pembelajaran di kelas maupun penugasan di rumah bagi siswa SMP Negeri 2 Wedarijaksa.

Abstract

Problems to be solved in this study are (1) what lies behind the men became itinerant greengrocer?, (2) how the itinerant greengrocer build a social network with distributors, fellow merchants and consumers?, (3) what social norms that became agreement of the itinerant greengrocer who ensure the continuity of their business? (4) what the contribution of itinerant greengrocer to the family economy, (5) how the quality of their lives?This study used a qualitative approach and case studies. This study took place in the  city  of  Semarang.  Street  Vendors  areas  studied  were  Gunungpati  District,  where  they  sell  vegetables  around.  The  samples  taken  in   a purposive and respondents taken as many as 6 people merchants. The data was taken with observation techniques, interviews, and focus group discussion. Things that can not be taken with the three techniques, conducted with the study of literature. To measure the validity of data used triangulation techniques. The results were analyzed with qualitative analysis techniques (reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions). From the results of research and field findings, it can be concluded (1) itinerant greengrocer has characteristics different from any other street vendors, which is mostly done by men, in trading on a motorcycle, and working in residential areas of dense population, (2) they become itinerant greengrocer, because there are no other jobs are more promising, (3) social capital merchants, mainly low membership in the association and has no contribution to the economic development of households, while the social capital of social networks and trust they have thus contributing significantly to the continuity business, (4) quality of life of itinerant greengrocer is relatively low, since the daily income is only enough for family consumption needs. Just in terms of freedom of component as part darei quality of life, they have it because they do not depend in selling to anyone, except to the agent.Based on the results of research and field findings, it is suggested that (1) vegetable traders are generally not affordable by the government and financial institutions, hence the need to be nurtured and empowered them to have access in developing the capital, and (2) most traders are not members of associations, therefore need established or included in the association of merchants who provide security and comfort in its hold.

Abstract

Mendapatkan pendidikan dasar yang terbaik adalah hak setiap anak, orang tua memiliki kewajiban untuk dapat memilih sekolah yang terbaik bagi anaknya. Munculnya beberapa sekolah swasta di Kecamatan Purwokerto Barat mampu menarik minat orang tua untuk menyekolahkan anaknya di sekolah swasta. Salah satu sekolah swasta yang mampu menarik minat orang tua adalah Sekolah Dasar Terpadu “Putra Harapan” Purwokerto. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi orang tua menyekolahkan anaknya di Sekolah Dasar Terpadu “Putra Harapan” Purwokerto Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak dua puluh orang tua. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan simpulan. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis data diperoleh hasil bahwa berdasarkan persepsi orang tua peserta didik, Sekolah Dasar Terpadu untuk kualitas sekolah sudah baik hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan adanya kurikulum muatan lokal yang khas di SD Terpadu diantaranya bahasa inggris, bahasa arab, tahfidz, doa, khadist, Praktik ibadah, komputer dan baca tulis Al-Quran. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu persepsi orang tua terhadap kualitas sekolah sangat beragam akan tetapi masih dalam lingkup yang sama, orang tua menyekolahkan anaknya di SD Terpadu dengan melihat kualitas sekolah serta kurikulum muatan lokalnya. Saran dalam penelitian ini yaitu persepsi orang tua yang sangat bagus harus dapat dipertahankan oleh Sekolah Dasar Terpadu “Putra Harapan” Purwokerto. Baik persepsi terhadap kualitas sekolah supaya SD Terpadu menjadi sekolah yang berkualitas dan Sekolah Unggulan.

Abstract

The phenomenon of garbage is very interesting to study, especially in residential boarding for university students. Similarly, this happens in the village Sekaran where the majority of Unnes students stay. The research objective is to describe the organization, distribution process, waste management in boarding-lodging in the village Sekaran Gunungpati Semarang. To achieve these objectives, the research uses a qualitative approach that is supported by quantitative data to generate complete and objective research conclusions. The results of this study were a) The organizing of boarding-lodging waste is carried by scheduled in turn. The role of the inhabitants of boarding is to maintain the cleanliness of each room, cleaning the bathroom, collect trash from each room in the bin, burn, hoarding, and fees, b) the distribution of garbage in boarding-lodging starts from each room, then housed in each boarding. From the shelter there was garbage which was burned, dumped, and collected by offcers, c) the handling of waste is carried by burning, dumping, giving to scavengers, and being retrieved by the garbage offcer. There has been no attempt to process the waste into industri fertilizer. Keywords: Waste, management model

Abstract

This is a qualitative research in the context of role, time allocation, income contribution, and women tobacco farmer contribution on decision making. The data source are collected through observation and in-depth interview with 5 families, including women tobacco farmer, their husbands, and their children, to fnd the description about women role in public and domestic activities. The research questions are: (1) what are the roles of women tobacco farmer in Tlahap Village Kledung Subdistrict Temanggung Regency? (2) how they allocate their time between domestic and public activities? and (3) how is their contribution in increasing family income? The result of this research shows that the women tobacco farmers have high contribution in their family income, around Rp. 2.000.000,00 – Rp. 3.000.000,00 every harvest, twice a year. Besides their work as farmer, they have side job that increase their family social economics condition. Women tobacco farmer work in farm about 9 hours a day and 5 hours in home, compare with their husband that only work 9 hours in farm. This fact shows that women tobacco farmer activities are longer than their husband.Keywords: Women, farm society, tobacco farmer

Abstract

The majority of tourism in Semarang district, gives us diversity in culture, nature, historical treasures which deserve to be considered as a regional tourist destination in Central Java. The potential for historical, cultural and natural tourism in Semarang district, when developed optimally can be aligned with tourism destination of Yogyakarta and SurakartaResearch results indicate that the potential for tourism in Semarang District is various which consists of nature tourism, historical tourism, cultural tourism, artificial, agro tourism and travel industry. Improving the quality and quantity of infrastructure are continued, albeit not optimal. The involvement of local communities in addition to participating in the consevation and development of tourist attraction,  also gives  influence on social change, economic growth, the level of household economy life and welfare of local communities.

Abstract

Integrasi nasional dalam pembelajaran PPKn, berintikan pengertian penyatuan suatu bangsa sehingga menjadi satu kesatuan yang bulat dan utuh. Hasil pembelajaran PPKn kelas X di SMAN 1 Pati dari sisi kognitif telah pahami oleh siswa merupakan alat pemersatu bangsa yang ditunjukkan dalam nilai tes formatif mencapai nilai tuntas. Untuk itu pada penelitian ini  perlu penguatan siswa agar benar-benar memahami maknanya. Sekurang-kurangnya (85%) hasil belajar siswa mempunyai nilai sikap (afektif) yang signifikan dengan hasil belajar (nilai) kognitif yang telah diperolehnya. Pada penelitian tindakan digunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart (1992). Desain yang dikenal dengan sistem spiral yang terdiri dari empat komponen yaitu perencanaan (planning), tindakan (action), pengamatan (observing), dan refleksi (reflection). Dilaksanakan di kelas X IPA 8 melalui pengembangan alat evaluasi non tes teknik kuesioner. Data dianalisis dalam skoring dalam bentangan 1 -5. Pada siklus I, Peserta didik mampu mengembangkan sikap sosial melalui bersama kelompok mengumpulkan informasi yang berkaitan dengan Kebhinekaan Bangsa Indonesia, dan membuat analisis (C4) terkait dengan deskripsi Kebhinnekaan Bangsa Indonesia. Secara random peserta didik (1 sampai dengan 2 orang mewakili kelompok) mengkomunikasikan secara lisan hasil analisis tentang Kebhinekaan Bangsa Indonesia. Berdasarkan analisis data pelaksanaan tindakan siklus 2 telah menunjukkan keberhasilan penilaian aspek sikap menguatkan penilaian pengetahuan. Refleksi juga menunjukkan faktor-faktor kerjasama yang mendukung keberhasilan sikap integritas yang muncul selama proses implementasi strategi. Analisis terhadap hasil observasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan data yang terjaring dengan kriteria keberhasilan yang telah ditargetkan. Telah terungkap melalui penilaian siswa yang memberikan nilai rata-rata 4,66 (dalam skor 5). Perencanaan, pelaksaanakan dan analisis PTK seperti yang dilakukan peneliti pada tahun 2017 digunakan untuk meninjau kembali dan meng-update-kan RPP dari berbagai aspek, antara lain: ketepatan pemilihan strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai karakteristik materi pelajaran, baik sisi metode maupun model pembelajaran. Serta digunakan sebagai pertimbangan pengisian capaian hasil belajar sikap sosial.

Abstract

The course Curriculum and History Textbooks generally less desirableand students tend to be passive in following the lecture. Cooperative learning is an appropriate method to help increase interest, activities and understanding of student learning. This method can be applied both to the student cognitive style FI and FD. With the expected student learning groups capable and aware that he has the potential to be developed. With a group learning activities students are required to take an active role and discipline so as to create a dynamic learning conditions which in turn students' understanding of the learning materials increased.Having applied the method cooprative learning increases studentactiveness STAD model. At baseline 77.5% still have a low interest in cycle 1 student interest increased to 69.91% higher, and in cycle 2 to 24.9% and 60% very high high. Similarly, students also increased the activity of completely inactive following the lecture on pre-cycle becomes active (62.5%) and very active (12.5%) in cycle 1 and cycle 2 increased to aktof (52.5% ) and very active (47.5%). To increase student understanding of the FI there is an increasing understanding of 49.33% in the pre cycles to 72.86% in cycle 1, and increased to 81.90% in cycle 2. As for the FD students there is an increasing understanding of 47, 00% on pre-cycle into 67.14% in cycle 1, and increased to 78.86% in the second cycle.
