Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar interaktif dengan mendaptasi cerita rakyat Indonesia, dan mengkaji penggunaannya dalam pengajaran teks naratif lisan bagi siswa SMP. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan memodifikasi model Gall, Gall & Borg dan Thiagarajan, Semmel, & Melvyn. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa membutuhkan bahan ajar interaktif untuk menjadikan pembelajaran lebih efektif. Sesudah dievaluasi oleh pakar, prototipe bahan ajar direvisi dan diujikan di dua SMP. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa produk itu dapat digunakan dengan baik di kelas dan siswa mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan pada ketrampilan mendengarkan dan membaca. Siswa dan guru berpendapat bahwa bahan ajar itu efektif dan berguna bagi mereka untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris. Disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar interaktif yang dikembangkan dari adaptasi cerita rakyat Indonesia berbentuk Widuri Game terbukti dapat diterapkan dan efektif untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan lisan siswa. This study aims at developing interactive teaching materials by adapting Indonesian folktales, and examining their implementation for teaching spoken narrative texts to junior high school students. A research and development (R&D) method with six stages was used in this study. The results show that the teachers and students require interactive materials that could make the teaching learning activities more effective. After being evaluated by experts, the prototype was revised and field-tested in two junior high schools. The results showed that the product was successfully implemented in the classroom in that the students could achieve the passing grade for both listening and speaking tests. The students also perceived that the product was effective and useful for them to learn English. The teachers perceived that the product was good and excellent to be used in the classroom. Therefore, it could be concluded that Widuri Game, the interactive materials adapted from Indonesian folktales was practical and effective to improve the students’ oral competence skill.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low students' achievement on Basic ChemistryI course. Students could not study autonomously and the learning process have notactivated the students. This research was conducted with class action research designwith two cycles that consist of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Theobtained data were analyzed by descriptive-qualitative approach. The respondentswere students of Chemistry Programme on first semester who were active on BasicChemistry I course. The intended success indicator was that at least 85% of studentspassed. The minumum passing grade was higher than 70. Based on the result anddiscussion it can be concluded that the use of Modification of Reciprocal Teaching (MODERAT) approach method was able to enhance the achievement on BasicChemistry I course of students of Chemistry Department of first semester of academicyear 2008/2009.Kata kunci : hasil belajar, kimia dasar I, modification of reciprocal teaching (MODERAT)

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur dari berbagai sumber yang membahas model Pembelajaran vokasional di SMK. Studi literatur ini meneliti model pembelajaran vokasional di SMK dikaitkan dengan 4Cs. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pentingnya analisis model pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan tujuan pembelajaran berdasarkan kompetensi dasar yang diajarkan. Selain itu, TeFa yang digalakan oleh pemerintah mengahadapi berbagai tantangan sehingga dibutuhkan solusinya. Penelitian berikutnya yang menarik untuk dikembangkan sebagai riset adalah keefektifan masing-masing model pembelajaran yang sudah disesuaikan dengan 4Cs. Selain itu, model pembelajaran vokasional perlu diintegrasikan dengan model pembelajaran vokasional lainnya. This research is a literature study from various sources that discuss vocational learning models in vocational high schools. This literature study examines the vocational learning model in SMK associated with 4Cs. The results of the study show that the importance of analyzing learning models that are adjusted to the learning objectives based on the basic competencies taught. In addition, TeFa which is promoted by the government faces various challenges so a solution is needed. The next research that is interesting to be developed as research is the effectiveness of each learning model that has been adapted to 4Cs. In addition, vocational learning models need to be integrated with other vocational learning models.

Abstract

Tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengelolaan kelas unggulan di SMP Negeri 2 Kramat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus.  Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil  penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan  pengelolaan kelas unggulan di SMP N 2 Kramat dengan menerapkan  beberapa  langkah, yaitu: pertama,  merumuskan  visi, misi dan  tujuan  sekolah; kedua, membentuk kepanitiaan, ketiga, proses perumusan; dan keempat, penetapan perencanaan, 2) Pengorganisasian pengelolaan kelas unggulan dibentuk kepantiaan 3) Pelaksanaan pengelolaan kelas unggulan dibentuk merencanakan kebutuhan kelas unggulan dan 4) Evaluasi yang  digunakan dalam pengelolaan kelas unggulan yaitu dengan menggunakan  analisis SWOT. The purposes of this study to know and analysis intensive class management at SMP N 2 Kramat. This research used the qualitative method with research strategy of studying case. The method of gathering the data were done by interview, observation, dan studying the document. The result shows that intensive class management planning at SMP N 2 Kramat, were implementing some steps, as follows 1) formulating vision, mission and school target, 2) forming comitee, 3) formulating process, and 4) planning strategy. 2) Organizing for intensive class management is making committee,3) Actuating for intensive class management was intensive class needs planning, and 4) evaluating for  intensive class management used SWOT analysis.

Abstract

A loyalty is needed for the survival of study program or department in a highereducation as a service industry. The loyalty of students can give a positiverecommendation to other parties to motivate prospective customers to use the service.It is more effective as a means of promotion and reduces the marketing cost. Theobjective of the study is to describe the students’ loyalty to the Department of ServiceProduction Technology of the Faculty of Engineering of Semarang State University.The research is descriptive. The subjects of the research were students of Departmentof Service Production Technology of the Faculty of Engineering of Semarang StateUniversity. The students are undergraduate students majoring in Family WelfareEducation concentrating on Fashion and Culinary. Another group of students wereDiploma Tree students of Service Production Technology concentrating on Fashionand Culinary. The number of the sample was 150 determined by iteration formula.The data were collected with a questionnaire and analyzed with descriptivepercentage. The result showed that 76% was moderately loyal, 22% highly loyal, andonly 2% were not loyal. Based on the result of the research, it is suggested that theDepartment improve moderately loyal students into highly loyal through a betterservice such as: building, practicum tools, empathy, and awareness.Kata kunci: loyalitas, mahasiswa, jasa pendidikan Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran model ideal problem solving untuk pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah di kelas olimpiade. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D Thiagarajan yang telah dimodifikasi. Melalui tahap pendefinisian dan perencanaan diperoleh draft I, selanjutnya dilakukan tahap pengembangan yaitu validasi perangkat pembelajaran (draft II) dan uji coba lapangan (draft III). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah Silabus, RPP, Buku Siswa, LKS dan Tes Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah. Subyek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas olimpiade SMP wilayah karisidenan Pekalongan. Cara pengambilan data dengan angket disposisi matematis dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Teknik analisis data dengan analisis diskriptif untuk uji validasi dan uji banding t serta analisis regresi untuk uji keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah dinyatakan valid oleh validator dengan skor rata-rata 4,61 untuk silabus, 4,50 untuk RPP, 4,49 untuk buku siswa, dan 4,47 untuk LKS, dan (2) uji coba perangkat menghasilkan (a)  kemampuan pemecahan masalah memenuhi kriteria tuntas (b) disposisi matematis siswa berpengaruh positif sebesar 66,7 % terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan persamaan Ŷ = 30,66 + 0,66X (c) rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibanding kelas kontrol. This study aimed to: (1) produce a valid learning devices and (2) implementation of an effective learning device. This research is the development by using 4-D models has been modified Thiagarajan. Through the stages of defining and planning draft I obtained, further development of the validation phase of the study (draft II) and field trials (draft III). And the kinds of mathematic learning devices that are developed are syllabus, lesson plans, student books, worksheets and problem solving ability test. The subject of the research are junior Olympics class students in Karisidenan Pekalongan region. The way the questionnaire data retrieval and disposition of mathematical problem-solving ability test. Data analysis techniques with descriptive analysis for test validation and comparisons t test and regression analysis to be effective. The results showed (1) learning tools developed have been declared valid by the validator with an average score of 4.61 for the syllabus, 4.50 for the RPP, 4.49 for students’ books, and 4.47 for the problem solving ability test, and (2) test device produces (a) completeness of problem-solving abilities of students eligible to be statistically 75.00 complete with an average of 82.80 (b) students’ mathematical dispositions of 66.7% has a positive effect on the ability of solving problems with equations Ŷ = 30,66 + 0,66X (c) Average problem solving abilities classroom experiments were statistically better than average control class. Based on the above it is concluded that the learning models of charged IDEAL Problem Solving mathematical disposition to meet the valid and effective learning.

Abstract

Research was carried out in the Settlement Geography Class, started on September 1 to September 22, 2008 (4 periods). The subject of the research was all 2007/2008 students, participants of the Settlement Geography Class (Population Research). The problem was that their quality in mapping and site plan projects was poor. The purpose of the research: students are able to do mapping and site plan projects individually, have expertise in mapping the patterns and distribution of settlements around them and other places, and able to communicate their project in the class discussion forum. The method used in this research was classroom action research model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart; input, process and output variables. Qualitative data was gathered using questionnaires and observation. Indicator of the success is the increase in students’ understanding individually and in group. Comprehensive analysis is from the first cycle to the second cycle (the last). First cycle found that students did not do the projects seriously. Reflection of the first cycle, more focus on areas, showed an improvement although not a significant one. Each group was then analyzed and showed that the best group scored 7.33. The mapping and site plan projects carried out on the second cycle showed that students’ understanding and seriousness was higher. Third cycle was unnecessary to do as it took only 79.03 minutes for students to finish the project. The conclusion is that the Achievement Index will increase if students do the projects seriously. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang model bahan ajar  Kimia Analitik Dasar berbasis multimedia yang berorientasi pada penjelasan level makroskopik, mikroskopik, dan simbolik, serta implementasinya untuk meningkatan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa calon guru. Subyek penelitian terdiri 27 orang dan 30 orang mahasiswa masing-masing sebagai kelompok kontrol dan eksperimenProdi Pendidikan Kimia yang mengontrak  Mata Kuliah Praktikum Kimia Analitik Dasar.Desainkuasi eksperimen dengan pretes – postes control group digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dan perbedaan antara tes awal- akhir diasumsikan sebagai efek dari perlakuan. Penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sainsyang diukur melalui tes bentuk uraian dianalisis berdasarkan perbandingan nilai gain yang dinormalisasi (N-gain), sedangkan kuesioner tanggapan mahasiswa secara deskriptif persentasi.Pembelajaran dasar kimia analitik menggunakan CD pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada struktur dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan ketrampilan proses. Keunggulan implementasi pembelajaran disamping meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains, juga mahasiswa memperoleh pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan. The Purpose of study to design a model of multimedia-based teaching materials for Analytical Chemistry to explain macroscopic, mikcroscopic, dan symbolic levels, and its implementation to improve the mastery of concepts and science process skills of the students. The subjects consisted of students of Chemistry Education Study Program taking the course of Practicum on Basic Analytical Chemistry, in which 27 students were placed into a control group and 30 students were placed into an experiment was used in this study, and the difference between pretest and post test is assumed to be the effect of the treatment. The mastery of the concept and science process skills were measured by using essay tests and analysed by comparing the normalized value (N-gain), whereas the questionnaires from the students were descriptively presented. The teaching and learning activities of analytical chemistry by using CD-based learning oriented toward structure can improve the mastery of the concept and science process skills. In addition, the students also obtained fun learning experiences.

Abstract

The research has been conducted to find out the correlation between the powerof muscles and the flexibility of joints during a 50 m distance butterfly stoke. Thefindings could be used to rise athletes’ achievement. The subject of research consistedof 10 males athletes, aging from 14 up to 24 years. The variables were the power ofvarious limb muscles when doing butterfly stroke for 50 m distance. To measure thosethe research used the leg dynamitor, the pull and push dynometer, the anthropometer,the flexometer, and the stopwatch. The single and multiple regression analyses havebeen indicated that there were negative correlation between (a) the various musclesduring a 50 m butterfly stroke and (b) the power of muscles and the flexibility ofjoints. It proved too that male athletes have certain muscles that strongly influencethem. Those are the pulling and pushing power of muscles, the flexibility of shoulderjoints, and the plantar flexi joints.Kata Kunci: kekuatan otot, fleksibilitas sendi, renang gaya kupu-kupu

Abstract

Implementing the discussion method in studying the topic of Biology,especially in learning about the environment, leaves students unable to apply in reallife what they have learned in school. Because of that, in this research, the ProjectMethod through group work was used in the task of recycling both organic aninorganic waste. The goal of this research was to enhance the students’ affective,cognitive, and psychomotor ability. The research Project took the form of class actionresearch carried out in two cycles, both of which consisted of planning, implementing,observing, and reflection. The results of the research showed that by implementing theProject Method, the ability of the students increased in all three aspects: the cognitiveaspect as evidenced by the daily test scores, the affective aspect as was apparent in thestudents initiative in making posters to raise environmental awareness, and in thepsychomotor aspect made clear by the recycled products that were produced.Kata kunci: prestasi belajar biologi, metode proyek, daur ulang limbah
