Abstract

In decoding implicatures, especially conversational implicatures, interlocutors should carefully pay attention both on the literal and pragmatic meanings. This importance simultaneously affects educators to be adept at implicating a message conversationally, also at transferring it to their students. The duty gets more challenging for the ones teaching a foregin language. This study then is conducted to investigate the conversational implicatures among English instructors from Indonesia who interact using English as their foreign language. Besides, this study also endeavours to trace what maxims are flouted, and to describe the gender-based difference of implicating a message conversationally. Twelve male and twelve female English instructors were invited to voluntarily participate in informal interactions approximately for fifteen minutes without their notice on the focus of this study, revealing 140 implicatures. These are wide-ranging in terms of contents based on the topics they choose, and are similar in terms of the intended messages which are not the same as the ones have said. Moreover, the exploitations also occurr on all four maxims variously: quality, quantity, manner, and relevance. The last, female instructors are observed to implicate more frequently than male ones with the comparison between 88 and 52.

Abstract

Homeschooling is a relatively new term in the Indonesian education. TheDepartment of National Education (Depdiknas) officially introduces homeschooling as"Sekolah-Rumah". Homeschooling emerges from persistent problems the nationaleducation system faces, such as the frequent changes of curriculum, pros and cons ofthe national examination and examination passing criteria, student enrollment system,and the very expensive education cost. Based on those grounds, homeschoolingbecomes an education alternative for parents to develop their children’s potency. Inhomeschooling, there is no limitation in developing the model of mathematicsteaching. The teaching method applied is one that suits the children’s learning stylebest. To improve the effectiveness of mathematics teaching in homeschooling, thingsand activities of the children’s daily life are used. The challenge of the parents inteaching mathematics to homeschool students is how to understand mathematicconcepts which are relevant to the chosen homeschoool curriculum and how totransform them into ideas adjusted to children’s competence.Kata kunci: Homeschooling, sekolah-rumah, pembelajaran matematika

Abstract

To preserve the past inheritance is a task for our next generation. Recorded inhistory, classic Muslims has bequeathed prosperity and glory. One of the examples iseducation. The progress of Muslim education is supported by many factors. One ofthem is teaching method. The good teaching method of course will produce generationwhich has a certain quality. Historically, teaching method of classic Muslim hasbrought the advance and fragrance toward Muslim in other countries' eye in the world.But, the past victory is just only a beautiful memory because the next generationcannot able to preserve classic culture. Teaching method becomes a problem since thatmethod does not have influence in developing personality and intellectual quality.Teaching method in institute of Muslim education still oriented on the conventionalmethod. The material delivery is dominated by speech method or "delivery system".The implication of that case will emerge a generation with linear, divergent andsystematic way of thinking. Whereas, now days is much needed convergent andcreative thinking. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan hubungan masyarakat sebagai stakeholderdi sekolah dalam keterserapan lulusan siswa SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui (1) Observasi, (2) Wawancara, dan (3) Studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Humas membuat beberapa program khusus yang di telah disusun di awal dan dilaksanakan sesuai dengan perencanaannya, (2) Persentase  keterserapan lulusan siswa SMK Kesehatan Yannas Husada dalam periode tiga tahun terakhir adalah 20% siswa yang bekerja, 55% siswa yang melanjutkan pendidikan, dan 25% siswa yang tidak atau belum bekerja.The purpose of this research is to find out the efforts made by public relations as a stakeholder in schools in the availability of vocational school graduates. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through (1) Observations, (2) Interviews, and (3) Documentation Studies. The results showed that (1) Public Relations made several special programs that had been prepared at the beginning and implemented in accordance with the planning, (2) The percentage of graduates of SMK Kesehatan Yannas Husada in the last three years was 20% of students working, 55% of students continued their studies, and 25% of students did not or had not worked.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mencapai tujuan-tujuan terdeskripsikannya 1) standar kompetensi lulusan (SKL), 2) struktur kurikulum, 3) muatan kurikulum, 4) model silabus dan RPP, 5) model pembelajaran, dan 6) model penilaian pada program gelar ganda prodi pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Hasil yang dicapai 1) standar kompetensi lulusan untuk satuan pendidikan Program Gelar Ganda Prodi Pendidikan  Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia digunakan sebagai pedoman penilaian dalam menentukan kelulusan peserta didik; 2) struktur kurikulum Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi substansi pembelajaran yang ditempuh dalam satu jenjang pendidikan selama 1 tahun; 3) pengembangan muatan kurikulum, yang dapat dilakukan adalah pengembangan standar isi, yaitu aspek standar kompetensi dan kompetensi dasar berdasarkan visi prodi; 4) silabus sebagai acuan pengembangan RPP, RPP dijabarkan dari silabus untuk mengarahkan kegiatan belajar peserta didik dalam upaya mencapai KD; 5) model pelaksanaan pembelajaran Program Gelar Ganda Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia mengikuti persyaratan pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran; dan 6) penilaian yang dilakukan oleh dosen terhadap hasil pembelajaran untuk mengukur tingkat pencapaian kompetensi peserta didik, serta digunakan sebagai bahan penyusunan laporan kemajuan hasil belajar, dan memperbaiki proses pembelajaran. Penilaian dilakukan secara konsisten, sistematik, dan terprogram dengan menggunakan tes dan nontes dalam ben­tuk tertulis atau lisan, pengamatan kinerja, pengukuran sikap, penilaian hasil karya berupa tugas, proyek dan/atau produk, portofolio, dan penilaian diri. Penilaian hasil pembelajaran menggunakan Standar Penilaian Pendidikan dan Panduan Penilaian Kelompok Mata kuliah. Penilaian diharapkan menyangkut penguasaan kompetensi dan produk yang menggambarkan karakteristik setiap mata kuliah.

Abstract

This research aims at: (1) explaining the difference of achievement as a result of conventional method and Quantum Teaching Method, (2) describing the relationship of positive dependence attitude between QuantumTeaching and students' achievement. The research method was Quasi Experiment with percentage approach. The population was the first grade students of SMKN 3 Semarang majoring in Construction Engineering in the academic year of 2005/2006. The dependent variable was Quantum Teaching Method (X), while the independent variable was the students' achievement (Y). The data were gathered through documentation, questionnaire, and test method. Man Whitney experiment and regression analysis was used to analyze the data for the first hypothesis. It was found that there was a significant difference between students who studied with Quantum Teaching method and those who studied with conventional method. Students who studied with Quantum Teaching Method performed better than those who studied with the conventional method. The regression analysis which examined the second hypothesis showed that there was a significant relationship between the students' positive dependent attitude and their study achievement.Kata Kunci : quantum teaching, teknik bangunan, dan kompetensiMTBG

Abstract

The awareness to build the relevance between learning methods, modern world development, and characteristics of students are the starting point of this study. World development can directly change the characteristics of students. Due to the facts, educators are required to have an understanding of postmodern education characteristics. The characteristics of postmodern education is student-centred. It can be realized through the implementation of Active Learning (AL) method. This study aims to portray the implementation of AL method in Entrepreneurship subject at English Education program of UPI. The exploration is focused on 3 things: the implementation of AL method, its impact, and student's responses to the use of this learning method. In this study. Qualitative descriptive research design was used as the research method. The subjects of this study are 1 lecturer of the related subject and 51 students of English Education program of 2016/2017 academic year. Based on the analysis, this study came up with 3 conclusions. The first is that AL method implementation is reflected in some efforts created by the lecturer, the assessment, and the AL characteristics. The second is that AL method has a positive impact on students' ability. The third is that students gave positive responses.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi manajemen Program Kejar Paket C di PKBM Sarana Maju Kota Tegal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kasus, subyek penelitian Penyelenggara, tutor, dan warga belajar. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data pada dilakukan dengan tiga cara yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan beberapa hal sebagai berikut : 1) Perencanaan program berdasarkan kebutuhan belajar masyarakat, 2) Pelaksanaan program dikelola seperti pendidikan formal ditambah dengan praktek pendidikan ketrampilan hidup, 3) Evaluasi program meliputi evaluasi formatif, sumatif dan evaluasi akhir. The purpose of this study to describe and analyze the planning, implementation and evaluation of program management Kejar Paket C di PKBM Sarana Maju Kota Tegal.This study used a qualitative approach through case studies, research subjects organizers, tutors and resident learning. The type of data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques to be done in three ways: observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study suggest some of the following: 1) Planning learning programs based on the needs of the community, 2) Implementation of the program is managed as formal education coupled with practical life skills education, 3) Evaluation of the program includes evaluasiformatif, summative and final evaluation.

Abstract

This research was conducted at State Elementary School 04 of KarangtalunCilacap involving 16 male six graders. The observation of three cyles showed that thestudents improved their smash skill. The basic movement skill in cycle I improvedfrom 25% to 42%. In cyle II, the basic movement skill improved from 42% to 57%. Incycle III the improvement was from 57% to 78%. The results indicated that the theindicator was achived in that 75% players mastered the expected smash basicmovement. Therefore, it is concluded that skill improvement could improve thekedeng smash skill inTakraw game for elementary students in Cilacap Regency.Kata kunci : smash kedeng, permainan sepak takraw, anak sekolah dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPS. Diperoleh siswa kelas V secara klasikal masih berada di bawah ketuntasan yang ditetapkan yaitu 85. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Word Square dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS pada materi peninggalan sejarah siswa di kelas V SDN 009  Langgini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Word Square dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS pada materi peninggalan sejarah siswa di kelas V SDN 009  Langgini. Keberhasilan ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar sebelum dilakukan tindakan ke siklus I, ke siklusII dan siklus III. hasil belajar siswa sebelum dilakukan tindakan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 69.72 dan siswa yang tuntas hanyak 20 orang siswa dengan persentase sebesar 56%, hasil belajar siswa siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 73.06 dan siswa yang tuntas hanyak 25 orang siswa dengan persentase sebesar 69%, kemudian pada siklus II nilai rata-rata sebesar 74.44 dan siswa yang tuntas hanyak 27 orang siswa dengan persentase sebesar 75%. Pada siklus III nilai rata-rata sebesar 81.39 dan siswa yang tuntas hanyak 31 orang siswa dengan persentase sebesar 86%.This research is motivated by low learning result of IPS. Obtained class V students classically still under the determined thoroughness of 85. This study aims to apply model of cooperative learning type Word Square in improving the results of IPS learning on student history relics in class V SDN 009 Langgini. Based on the results of the research, it can be seen that the application of cooperative learning model type of Word Square can improve the results of IPS learning on student history relics in class V SDN 009 Langgini. This success is evidenced by the increase in learning outcomes before action to cycle I, to cycle II and cycle III. the students' learning outcomes before the action is done with an average score of 69.72 and the complete student is 20 students with a percentage of 56%, the results of student learning cycle I with an average value of 73.06 and students who complete 25 students with a percentage of 69%, then in cycle II the average value of 74.44 and students who complete 27 students with a percentage of 75%. In cycle III the average value of 81.39 and students who complete 31 students with a percentage of 86%.
