Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktifitas belajar siswa kelas VII E di SMP Negeri 3 Batang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua kali siklus tindakan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII E SMP Negeri 3 Batang sebanyak 40 siswa terdiri atas 19 siswa putra dan 21 siswa putri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  hasil belajar siswa pada akhir siklus mengalami peningkatan 95%, sedangkan aktifitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan hingga 94%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktifitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika khususnya siswa kelas VII E di SMP Negeri 3 Batang tahun pelajaran 2009/2010. This study aimed to determine whether the type STAD cooperative learning model to improve learning outcomes and learning activities in class VII E SMP Negeri 3 Trunk. This study uses classroom action research with two cycles of action. Subjects were students of class VII E SMP Negeri 3 Rods 40 students consisted of 19 boys and 21 girls students. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students at the end of the cycle has increased 95%, while the learning activities of students has increased to 94%. Thus it can be concluded that the application type STAD cooperative model can improve learning outcomes and student learning activities in math class VII E especially in SMP Negeri 3 Trunk academic year 2009/2010.

Abstract

Kata kunci:Amultiple choice is a kind of test in which answers can be chosen from some availableanswers.Amultiple choice consists of a stem and some choices. The answers consistof a correct answer and some distracters. The correct answer must be the right one,while the distracters are the incorrect ones. The distracters must work as a trap. Itmeans that the students might choose these distracters if they do not master thematerial.This research describes the ability of teachers to create final test of Javanese Languagelesson in an Elementary School. The data were analyzed quantitatively andqualitatively. Qualitative technique was related to the form of the test before beingtested, while the quantitative technique was related to the result of the test.The ability of teachers in making the final test of Javanese Language lesson in theElementary School in the academic year of 2008/2009 in Banyumanik district waspoor. Abstract

Program Sport Student Exchange (SSE) dilaksanakan selama kurun waktu tiga bulan baik mengikuti sit-in di perkuliahan reguler ataupun kelas mandiri. Dalam kesempatan ini, mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) sebagai host-university akan mendapatkan pembelajaran dan pengalaman baik dari interaksi formal ataupun nonformal yang berbeda dari perkuliahan reguler. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini berupaya mengevaluasi apakah program SSE memiliki dampak pada prestasi akademik mahasiswa FIK, yang diukur dengan indeks prestasi nilai rata-rata (IPK). Kelas bilingual jurusan PJKR dengan 29 mahasiswa yang terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan SSE merupakan sampel penelitian. Data diperoleh melalui metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi lalu di deskripsikan melalui capaian persentase serta uji analisis menggunakan korelasi product moment. R hitung yang diperoleh 0,999 lebih besar dari r tabel 0,367. Hasil analisis yang sangat kuat dari program SSE ini menunjukan adaanya pengaruh program SSE terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa FIK. Hal tersebut diperoleh dari hasil wawancara yang memiliki 15 indikator dari 3 aspek yaitu partisipasi dalam proses pembelajaran, kemampuan bahasa Inggris, dan motivasi belajar. Sehingga, penelitian bisa menjadikan dasar yang kuat bahwasannya program SSE perlu dilanjutkan dan memperbaiki manajemen yang dirasa kurang. Sport Student Exchange (SSE) program was held three months having sit-in and their-own classes. In this occasion, students of Sport Science Faculty as host-university learnt and got great experience from both informal and formal interactions which are difference from regular class. The aim of this study is to evaluate how SSE program affects students’ performance of Sport Science Faculty by measuring the average of students’ GPA. Bilingual class’ students from Physical Education Department who get involved in SSE program were the sample in this study. Data collection was done by observation, interview, and documentation. The description of the result was presented in the percentage and analyzed by Product Moment Design. Calculation of r formulation is 0,999 which is higher than r table 0,367. Thus, result of this study showed that SSE program affected students’ academic performance in Sport Science Faculty. Those also supported by the result of interviewed which was designed from three main aspects such students’ participation in learning process, English competence, and learning motivation. It is clear that SSE program should be extended for the following years and rearranges the managerial system to get better.

Abstract

Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan di sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Krangkeng belum berorientasi pada keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Hakikat dari biologi, tujuan pendidikan nasional dan perkembangan jaman menuntut keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis instrumen penilaian di sekolah, mengembangkan instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, dan menguji efektivitas serta kepraktisan instrumen. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and development. Prosedur pengembangan produk melalui tahap penelitian pendahuluan dan pengembangan. Pada tahap pendahuluan terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu studi lapangan dan studi literatur. Tahap pengembangan, melalui beberapa bagian, yaitu 1) menyusun jenis instrumen, 2) validasi ke pakar, 3) ujicoba skala terbatas dan 4) ujicoba skala luas. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah jenis instrumen yang digunakan di sekolah memiliki tingkatan taksonomi kognitif C1 sampai C2, kadang digunakan C3. Instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan adalah tes esai analisis, lembar performa berpikir, dan tes problem solving. Instrumen dinyatakan valid, reliabel, dan praktis. Instrumen juga berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar kognitif. The type of assessment instruments used in the school were not oriented toward higher-order thinking skills. The nature of biology, national education goals and challenges of science and technology development of thinking skills require more than just the basic thinking. The purposes of this study were: 1) to analyze the assessment instruments used in the school, 2) to develop assessment instruments used to measure higher-order thinking skills, and 3) to test the effectiveness and practicality of the instrument. The type of study was Research and development. The procedure of product development were the preliminary research and development. In the preliminary research, the study was divided into two stages, they are the field of study, and literature study. The development stage started by constructing the type of instruments, validation of the expert,  limited testing  and extensive testing. The results of this study showed that the type of instruments used in the school were  in the range of cognitive taxonomy of C1 and C2 and sometimes used the C3 and concept-oriented. Assessment instrument developed were essay anlysis test, the sheet of students’ thinking performance, and problem solving test. The instruments were declared valid, reliable, and practical. The instruments were declared effective because it  showed positive impact on learning outcomes.

Abstract

Students do not have much experience of entrepreneurship in the meantime. Itindicates their weakness of practical application toward community problem. Specificpurpose of this activity is to enhance student’s self-potency through entrepreneurshipsubject in order to be a successful entrepreneur. The teaching methods of this subjectare lecturing, product-making, presentation, direct visit, and written test. Theentrepreneurship subject focuses on problem-solving of small industry. Givingcomprehension and a little experience will help to form their sincerity to start andmanage a business. Statistically, there is a significant difference in entrepreneurialspirit between the initial condition and final condition, either on the basis of selfassessment or peer assessment. Based on the result gained from this activity, it can beconcluded that student’s self-potency can be enhanced through entrepreneurshipsubject. Abstract

Makalah ini membahas tentang arti penting metode pembelajaran partisipasi dalam pelatihan pembentukan karakter sebagai metode yang efektif untuk membangun motivasi dan kreatifitas sehingga terjalin kerja sama dan upaya saling mendukung satu sama lain. Tujuan dari penelitian kualitatif dan survei studi kasus ini untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta tentang keefektifan pelatihan pembentukan karakter dengan metode pembelajaran partisipasi. Sampel penelitian adalah sepuluh peserta dan seorang pelatih dari purposive sample, dan alat pengumpulan data utama berupa wawancara semi terstruktur. Temuan dalam penelitian berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan peserta terdapat komentar positif atau penilaian yang baik yang terjadi selama pelatihan dan rasa hormat, sopan, dan perilaku mendukung yang ditunjukkan oleh peserta ketika berinteraksi dengan peserta lain.

Abstract

The assessment at high school level has not been able to measure the cognitive, affective and psychomotor skill. The objectives of the research is to measure the quality, effectiveness, and the practicality of scientific literacy-based self and peer assessment in the ecosystem learning. This research and development consists of several stages. Requirement analysis, design and development of instruments based on the observations in SMA N 1 Gubug. The review is conducted by four experts. Limited scale trial performed on 10 learner and the broad scale carried out in XG as the experiment class and XF as the control class.The instrument is valid and suitable to be usedbased on the experts review. The effectiveness of self assessment evident from the cognitive experimental class mean and n-gain mean is different from the control class. In the t-test to the mean value of psychomotor not difference. Based on students and teachers questionnaire, instrument to be practically. Based on the the analysis, it mean that the instrument of scientific literacy-based self assessment was suitable, effective, and practical in ecosystem learning, while the instrument of scientific literacy-based peerassessment hadsuitable, andpractise but not effective in ecosystem learning.Penilaian yang dilakukan di sekolah menengah belum dapat mengukur aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan, menguji kualitas, efektifitas, dan kepraktisan instrumen self dan peer assessment berbasis literasi sains pada pembelajaran ekosistem. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini terdiri dari bebersapa tahap. Analisis kebutuhan, desain dan pengembangan instrumen didasarkan pada hasil observasi di SMA N 1 Gubug. Review dilakukan oleh empat pakar. Uji coba skala terbatas dilakukan pada 10 peserta didik dan uji coba skala luas dilakukan pada kelas XG sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XF sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrument  dinyatakan valid dan nlayak digunakan berdasarkan review pakar. Instrumen self assessment terbukti efektif, terbukti dari hasil uji rerata n-gain dan rerata nilai kognitif kelas eksperimen berbeda dengan kelas kontrol. Pada uji t terhadap rerata nilai psikomotor membuktikan tidak ada perbedaan. Berdasarkan angket peserta didik dan guru, instrument dinyatakan praktis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, disimpulkan instrumen selfassessmentberbasis literasi sains layak, efektif serta praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran ekosistem, sedangkan peer assessmentberbasis literasi sains layak digunakan, praktis tetapi belum efektif dalam pembelajaran ekosistem.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the student's degree of satisfaction towardlecture processes. The study was conducted in the odd semester at the Faculty ofMathematics and Science in 2008. The subjects of the research were students of ninemajors of four departments in the faculty. The research subjects, numbering 540students were selected proportionally depending on the number of students in eachmajor. The data of the students' satisfaction were collected with a questioner. Thestudy showed that 74% students felt satisfied with the lectures at the faculty. Threethings which need improvement are: written information of the lesson objective atthe beginning of every session, the compliance of number of hours in each meetingwith the existing regulations, and the return of students' corrected work.Kata kunci: kepuasan layanan, perkuliahan, dan kinerja mahasiswa

Abstract

AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mennawarkan gagasan terhadap salah satu problem pendidikan nasional, berupa rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa, serta fenomena keterjebakan guru pada kurikulum yang bersifat mekanistik, melalui teori motivasi Maslow dan David McClelland. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan melakukan penelusuran pustaka serta literatur yang relevan dengan pokok bahasan. Analisis yang digunakan menggunakan analisis wacana serta analisis budaya berkaitan dengan realitas pendidikan yang terjadi di Indonesia. Melalui tulisan ini, penulis menawarkan sebuah gagasan mengenai perlunya menanamkan motivasi kepada peserta didik, baik melalui pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar sebagaimana teorinya Maslow, maupun dengan meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi (nAch) sebagaimana teorinya McClelland, dalam mengurai problem pendidikan nasional.Keywords : Motivasi, Teori Hierarki Kebutuhan Maslow, Teori Kebutuhan Berprestasi McClelland, Problem Pendidikan Nasional Abstract         This paper aims to offer an ideas on one of the problems of national education, in the form of low student achievement, as well as the phenomenon of teacher in a mechanistic curriculum, through motivation theory of Maslow and David McClelland. The approach used is a qualitative approach by conducting library searches and literature’s which are relevant to the subject. The analysis used discourse analysis and cultural analysis related to the reality of education that occurred in Indonesia. Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan ringkasan temuan penelitian tindakan pada kelas Prosa yang diampu penulis. Studi ini melibatkan 25 orang mahasiswa, 15 perempuan dan 10 laki-laki, dan ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam memahami dan menganalisis karya sasrta melalui pengguanaan komik. Merujuk pada model Penelitian Tindakan tiga siklus, studi ini menemukan bahwa penggunaan komik secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa sebagaimana ditunjukkan fakta-fakta berikut; (1) pada tahap pretes hanya terdapat 4 (16%) mahasiswa yang mampu secara mudah memahami dan menganalisis karya sastra; jumlah ini meningkat setelah penggunaan komik, yaitu menjadi, (2) 15 (60%) pada siklus pertama; (3) 22 (88%) pada siklus kedua; dan, (4) mencapai puncaknya hingga 25 orang (100%) pada siklus ketiga/fase postes. Berdasar temuan tersebut, studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa komik merupakan salah satu media efektif dalam membantu mahasiswa memahami karya sastra secara mudah. Lebih dari itu, dalam konteks peningkatan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, studi ini mendapatkan pelajaran baik yaitu, pentingnya guru dan calon guru secara kreatif mengembangkan dan mendayagunakan media dan alat bantu pembelajaran demi keberhasilan para siswa mereka. The present paper is an excerpt of an action research-based study conducted in the author’s class on prose. It involved 25 students, 15 females and 10 males, and aimed to improve the class participants’ understanding of literary works through the use of comics. Following a three-cycle model of Action Research, this study found that the use of comics has significantly improved the students’ ability to understand and analyze literary works contents, as it is indicated by the fact that; (1) only four students (16%) could easily understand and analyze literary works in the pre-test stage; whilst after the introduction of comics the number increased up to; (2) 15 (60%) in the first cylcle; (3) 22 (88%) in the second cycle; and, (4) peaked to 25 (100%) in the third cycle which was also the post-test phase. Based on these findings this study concludes that comic is amongst the effective media to help students to easily understand literary works. Moreover, for the contexts of teaching improvement, this study has also learnt that it is highly recommended for English teachers, and those who would be, to creatively develop and use attractive teaching aids and learning media in general for the success of their students.
