Abstract

This Classroom Action Research ( CAR ) focused on how to develop students’ skill in Reading through visualizing the text of recount in the frame of Task Based Learning. The subject of the research was students of Grade X Aph 1 of SMK N 6 Semarang. The goal of the CAR is to identify the students’ skill in Reading and after having it then to develop them using the method Visualizing of recount text in the frame work of Task Based Learning (TBL). TBL is one type of the Student Centered Learning . The activities which were done in TBL were classified into the real task with their categories. Prabu ( 1987 ) suggested that there are 3 main categories from a task (1) information-gap, (2) reasoning-gap, and (3) opinion-gap. Whereas Willis ( 1996, pp. 135-136) informed that TBL consisted of the pre-task, the task cycle, and the language focus  then the writer did a range of activities as a manifestation of  TBL. As the component are goal and objectives, input, activities, teacher role, learner role, and setting. The CAR was done in two cycles where each cycle was in 2x2x45 minutes. It was for students of Grade X Aph1 .The result showed that the Reading skill increased from 15 % to 25 %. It was not satisfying result. In the second cycle, It developed to be 65 %. There was a little effort showed by the students with personal problem or family problem but at least the competence of the students increase from 15 % to 65 %. The rest of 35 % students consist of 25 % in big problem and 10 % students need some remedial assignment. After all activities done, the final skill in Reading was that there were 85 % students were skillful in Reading.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran model ideal problem solving untuk pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah di kelas olimpiade. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D Thiagarajan yang telah dimodifikasi. Melalui tahap pendefinisian dan perencanaan diperoleh draft I, selanjutnya dilakukan tahap pengembangan yaitu validasi perangkat pembelajaran (draft II) dan uji coba lapangan (draft III). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah Silabus, RPP, Buku Siswa, LKS dan Tes Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah. Subyek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas olimpiade SMP wilayah karisidenan Pekalongan. Cara pengambilan data dengan angket disposisi matematis dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Teknik analisis data dengan analisis diskriptif untuk uji validasi dan uji banding t serta analisis regresi untuk uji keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah dinyatakan valid oleh validator dengan skor rata-rata 4,61 untuk silabus, 4,50 untuk RPP, 4,49 untuk buku siswa, dan 4,47 untuk LKS, dan (2) uji coba perangkat menghasilkan (a)  kemampuan pemecahan masalah memenuhi kriteria tuntas (b) disposisi matematis siswa berpengaruh positif sebesar 66,7 % terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan persamaan Ŷ = 30,66 + 0,66X (c) rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibanding kelas kontrol. This study aimed to: (1) produce a valid learning devices and (2) implementation of an effective learning device. This research is the development by using 4-D models has been modified Thiagarajan. Through the stages of defining and planning draft I obtained, further development of the validation phase of the study (draft II) and field trials (draft III). And the kinds of mathematic learning devices that are developed are syllabus, lesson plans, student books, worksheets and problem solving ability test. The subject of the research are junior Olympics class students in Karisidenan Pekalongan region. The way the questionnaire data retrieval and disposition of mathematical problem-solving ability test. Data analysis techniques with descriptive analysis for test validation and comparisons t test and regression analysis to be effective. The results showed (1) learning tools developed have been declared valid by the validator with an average score of 4.61 for the syllabus, 4.50 for the RPP, 4.49 for students’ books, and 4.47 for the problem solving ability test, and (2) test device produces (a) completeness of problem-solving abilities of students eligible to be statistically 75.00 complete with an average of 82.80 (b) students’ mathematical dispositions of 66.7% has a positive effect on the ability of solving problems with equations Ŷ = 30,66 + 0,66X (c) Average problem solving abilities classroom experiments were statistically better than average control class. Based on the above it is concluded that the learning models of charged IDEAL Problem Solving mathematical disposition to meet the valid and effective learning.

Abstract

The research was a descriptive qualitative research. The research process wasstarted by doing an observation among students in applying the basic concept ofsimple present tense in their daily activities. Before analyzing the research, theresearchers did some observations, try out test, collecting data, and interview amongstudents. The researchers found out that more than 80% students could not understandthe basic concepts of simple present tense well. They often did some grammaticalerrors. Its topic was chosen based on the researchers’ experience as the Englishteachers. The researchers often found students’ grammatical errors especially insimple present tense. The aim of the research was formulated as: (1). To know howstudents can understand and make the simple present tense in positive, negative, andinterrogative form both in singular and plural subject at the written test, (2). To knowwhat kinds of grammatical errors were used to be done by students in creating thesimple present tense sentences at the interview test, (3). What kinds of general errorswere used to be done by students. The research was located at 2 Senior High Schoolon Jalan Sendangguwo Baru no 1, Semarang. The subject of this research was the firstgrade students of 2 Senior High School. The samples were taken randomly from eachclass (20% from the total population). The techniques of collecting data were done bywritten and interview test. The collecting data were done three times. At the first,students were asked to answer the essay test, at the second, students were asked towrite down their daily activities in English Language. Then at the third, students wereasked to tell their daily activities orally. The results of the test were: at the try out test,there were only 12 of 42 students (30%) who could do and write the simple presenttense sentences correctly. On the collecting data test, there were 32 of 42 students(65%) who could do and write the simple present tense sentences correctly. It could besaid that there was an improvement to understand the basic concept of simple presenttense among students (35%). While at the interview test, students were used to doovergeneralization and incomplete application of rules as their common mistakes.Kata kunci: simple present tense, overgeneralization, incomplete application of rules

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu aspek yang sangat krusial dari kompetensi karyawan di bidang jasa, kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah penting untuk dilatih dan dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh self-efficacy, kemampuan kerja sama dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif terhadap kemampuan pembelajar untuk memecahkan masalah. Walaupun ada beberapa penelitian terdahulu mengenai beberapa aspek dari kemampuan-kemampuan ini, namun belum ada suatu studi yang komprehensif mengaitkan kemampuan-kemampuan ini di dalam ranah penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan 30 karyawan Dwidaya World Wide Jakarta Barat yang baru saja menjalani pelatihan sebagai populasinya. Data primer dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang terkait dengan kemampuan-kemampuan di atas, lalu dilakukan analisa dengan metode PLS-SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa self-efficacy, kemampuan kerja sama, dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah.Kata kunci: self efficacy, kemampuan kerja sama, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, kemampuan memecahkan masalah As a very crucial aspect of service-based industy student-trainee competence, problem-solving ability of students needs to be enhanced by considering factors which affect the problem solving ability. This research is aimed to measure the effect of self-efficacy, collaborative skills and creative thinking skills on their ability to solve problem. While some former researches dealt with some aspects of these skills, there has not been comprehensive study merging these skills in the light of quantitative approach. The research is conducted quantitatively with the population of 30 employees of PT Dwidaya World Wide in West Jakarta who have just been trained in Travel Consultant Training. The primary data is collected by using questionnaires corresponding to each of the skills and then analysis done by using PLS-SEM method. Abstract

Policy the implementation of curriculum 2013 that replaced curriculum 2006 is the government effort to improve education in Indonesia. The changed of education policy through the implementation of curriculum 2013 in all level from primary school to secondary school, it’s cause consequences and implication of learning activity  growth widely. The consequences and implication of learning activities based on curriculum 2013 is not only relating equipments and strategies of learning but also the readyness a teacher as a top actor of learning education at school.The changed of education policy through the implementation of curriculum 2013 is demand to re-analysis of basic competence from teacher due to based on curriculum 2013 explain that  it is not by sparated but integrated subject must being now. The purpose of the research is mapping competence in readiness a teacher of learning activity based on curriculum 2013 at yunior high school. The research of methode is survey by descriptive analysis. The result is a half of teacher at Bengkalis subdistricat have different competence, so caused of unoptimalisation in learning process. Giving rekomendation by resetting required for yunior high school teacher which curriculum 2013 rules.

Abstract

Education with a dimension of EO (Emotional Quotions) can be found in theconcept of dance education. This article is the result research that examine how theimplementation process, and improvement of emotional intelligence of youngchildren through learning the art of dance by using a qualitative approach. Data iscollected through focused interviews, participant observation, and studydocumentation. The data is analyzed by reducing, clarifyng, describing, concluding,and interpreting all the information. The data is then examinated it's confirmabilityand dependability. The result showed the implementation process of dance educationin early childhood dependent on it's teaching and learning process, which includes:objectives, teaching material, teaching methods and learning activities, facilities andinfrastructure, evaluation, social and cultural conditions. The improvement ofemotional intelligence of young children through learning the art dance can be seenthrough: (1) a sense of pridfe, (2) has a brave nature, (3) able to control emotions, (4)able to hone refinement, (5) be able to nuture a sense of responsibility, (6) able tonuture a sense of self, (7) easy to interact with others, (8) has a good performance, (9)are able to develop imagination, and (10) becomes a creative child.Kata Kunci: pendidikan seni tari, kecerdasan emosional, dan anak usia dini

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman teoretis/konseptual guru SD Kelas Rendah di Kecamatan Mijen Semarang dalam pembuatan RPP dengan pendekatan saintifik pada Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan workshop dan meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru dalam perancangan RPP dengan Pendekatan Saintifik pada Kurikulum 2013 sebelum dan sesudah workshop tersebut. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas rendah Sekolah Dasar se-Dabin III Kecamatan Mijen. Adapun sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling, dengan cara undian dan didapat 21 guru. Data berupa hasil tes teoritis dan perencangan RPP yang telah dibuat guru. Dari RPP tersebut dinilai aspek-aspek format RPP, kelengkapan komponen, bahasa, kesesuaian perumusan Komptensi Inti, Kompetensi Dasar, dan indikator pencapaiannya, ketepatan dan kedalaman isi RPP yang meliputi kegiatan pendahuluan, inti, dan penutup. Data penelitian diambil dengan teknik observasi, kuesioner, wawancara terstruktur, dan hasil unjuk kinerja guru dalam merancang RPP. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan deskriptif persentase untuk mendapatkan rata-rata hasil tes dan kinerja guru dalam merancang RPP sebelum dan sesudah worshop. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa workshop tersebut dapat meningkatkan pemahaman teoretis/konseptual terhadap pengetahuan komponen-komponen RPP sebesar 9,85, % serta meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam perancangan RPP berbasis pada pendekatan saintifik Kurikulum 2013 sebesar 8,50%.The purposes of this research were finding theoretical understanding of elementary school teachers at UPTD Mijen Semarang in making RPP with scientific approach of Curriculum 2013 revised 2016 before and after workshop and theirs competence in making RPP based on Curriculum 2013 before and after the workshop. The subjects were low grade teachers of Elementary School. The research subject was conducted by random sampling technique, by lottery and got 21 teachers. Data were the result of theoretical test and teachers’ performance in designing of RPP that they have made. It was assessed aspects of the format, completeness of components, language, the suitability of the formulation of core competency, basic competency, and indicators of achievement, accuracy and depth of RPP content which includes preliminary, core, and final activities. The data were taken with several techniques: direct observation, questionnaire, structured interview, and teacher performance in designing RPP. Data analysis technique were descriptive percentage for getting the average of test result and teachers’ performance in designing of RPP before and after workshop. Based on the results, it could be concluded that workshop could improve teachers’ theoretical understanding of RPP components of 9.85%, and teachers’ competence in designing of RPP of 8.50%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang model bahan ajar  Kimia Analitik Dasar berbasis multimedia yang berorientasi pada penjelasan level makroskopik, mikroskopik, dan simbolik, serta implementasinya untuk meningkatan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa calon guru. Subyek penelitian terdiri 27 orang dan 30 orang mahasiswa masing-masing sebagai kelompok kontrol dan eksperimenProdi Pendidikan Kimia yang mengontrak  Mata Kuliah Praktikum Kimia Analitik Dasar.Desainkuasi eksperimen dengan pretes – postes control group digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dan perbedaan antara tes awal- akhir diasumsikan sebagai efek dari perlakuan. Penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sainsyang diukur melalui tes bentuk uraian dianalisis berdasarkan perbandingan nilai gain yang dinormalisasi (N-gain), sedangkan kuesioner tanggapan mahasiswa secara deskriptif persentasi.Pembelajaran dasar kimia analitik menggunakan CD pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada struktur dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan ketrampilan proses. Keunggulan implementasi pembelajaran disamping meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains, juga mahasiswa memperoleh pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan. The Purpose of study to design a model of multimedia-based teaching materials for Analytical Chemistry to explain macroscopic, mikcroscopic, dan symbolic levels, and its implementation to improve the mastery of concepts and science process skills of the students. The subjects consisted of students of Chemistry Education Study Program taking the course of Practicum on Basic Analytical Chemistry, in which 27 students were placed into a control group and 30 students were placed into an experiment was used in this study, and the difference between pretest and post test is assumed to be the effect of the treatment. The mastery of the concept and science process skills were measured by using essay tests and analysed by comparing the normalized value (N-gain), whereas the questionnaires from the students were descriptively presented. The teaching and learning activities of analytical chemistry by using CD-based learning oriented toward structure can improve the mastery of the concept and science process skills. In addition, the students also obtained fun learning experiences.

Abstract

This research was motivated by low students' achievement on Basic ChemistryI course. Students could not study autonomously and the learning process have notactivated the students. This research was conducted with class action research designwith two cycles that consist of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Theobtained data were analyzed by descriptive-qualitative approach. The respondentswere students of Chemistry Programme on first semester who were active on BasicChemistry I course. The intended success indicator was that at least 85% of studentspassed. The minumum passing grade was higher than 70. Based on the result anddiscussion it can be concluded that the use of Modification of Reciprocal Teaching (MODERAT) approach method was able to enhance the achievement on BasicChemistry I course of students of Chemistry Department of first semester of academicyear 2008/2009.Kata kunci : hasil belajar, kimia dasar I, modification of reciprocal teaching (MODERAT)

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas mobile learning sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dapat diartikan sebagai metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mencari pengaruh perlakuan tertentu terhadap yang lain dalam kondisi terkendalikan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan efektivitas learning, keefektifan yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah keberhasilan tentang suatu usaha dari sistem yang dirancang untuk melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif dan mandiri dalam pembelajaran. Hasil uji-t menyatakan bahwa terdapat keefektifan penggunaan learning terhadap hasil belajar yang di dapat.This research aims to determine the effectiveness of mobile learning. This research is quantitative research with experimental method. Can be interpreted as the research methods used to find a specific treatment effect against the other in a state of control. This ressearch result in the effectiveness of mobile learning, effectiveness is the success of an establishment of a system designed to engage students actively and independently in learning. T-test result there are effectiveness of using mobile learning on the student learning outcomes.
