Abstract

IbM’s devotion partner is a joint business group (KUB) Delima and KUB Citra Ku- susma who are entrepreneur in the field of food. The problems that arise are: (1) production aspect, want to increase production quantity but constrained equipments possessed very sim- ple and minimal (2) quality aspect, the product has not got PIRT license and not yet neat, so it needs to be improved for marketing expansion, (3) ) aspects of hiegene and sanitation, not con- sidering individual hygiene and equipment and environmental sanitation (4) aspects of busi- ness  management  and  marketing,  administrative  and  financial records  need  to  be  improved. For extensive marketing requires an attractive packaging and there is a manufacturer address. Based on the problems faced by the science and technology community partners (IbM) above, the solutions offered are: (1) Applied one unit of oven, (2) Applied one large mixer unit to stir the dough, (3). Produced cake recipe terstansdar from the amount of materials, processing techniques, neatness form and uniformity level of maturity. (4) Known the results of organoleptic test: in terms of taste, color, aroma and texture and known test results of the public / consumer against the cake in produc- tion. (5). The resulting design and quality of cake packaging is more interesting, (6). Assisted with the arrangement of PIRT permits for cakes made by KUB Delima and KUB Citra Kusuma, (7). Known nutritional content of cakes in the form of content: carbohydrates, fats, proteins, water content and ash content. (8). On business management (bookkeeping and administration) recorded complete and neat. (9). On marketing already using brochures and packaging already address the manufacturer. (10). The increased partner profits which in turn can increase the income and welfare of KUB members. (11). Generated scientific articles in national journals in order to publish the results of the activities

Abstract

This activity was conducted in order to explain the importance and purpose and benefits of the preparation of teaching materials based on the enrichment of the Arabic language and character education curriculum in 2013, describes the steps the preparation of teaching materials based on the enrichment of Arabic language, and the ability of teachers to develop language Arab Elementary School as the city of Semarang in preparing teaching materials based Arabic language enrichment and character education curriculum in 2013 and can apply them in the teaching and learning Arabic at Government Elementary School , respectively . Alternative solutions that have been implemented are providing education and training. The conclusions of this activity is that the implementation of the community service is very useful for the target audience in this case Arabic teachers Elementary School as the city of Semarang . With this training teachers of Arabic as Semarang MI can arrange teaching materials based on the enrichment of the Arabic language and character education curriculum in 2013 to improve the quality of Arabic learning and apply it in teaching and learning activities at the school, respectively.

Abstract

Small industries that make tofu indirectly experience problems in the soybean porridge cooking process. This porridge is the forerunner of tofu. Tofu Serasi Asli product senses an annoying situation to the environment and the development. Furthermore, it is divided into problems of production and management aspects. The boiler design shows that separating the steam production from the pan by flowing saturated steam in each soybean plot. The advantages of using a steam boiler are that the cooking pan does not produce scale and saves time, increases capacity, higher pressure reaches 300 kPa and creates smoke-free kitchen space and a healthier and more hygienic production kitchen. Fuel savings of 48%, an increase in the income of small and medium enterprises and the quality of the tofu produced is better and does not smell of burning smoke.

Abstract

Technology Development in the era of industry 4.0 is characterized by the use of automatic technology machines. But in small and middle-scale industries still use the conventional machine. Low-cost packaging machines need to be developed by utilizing the Raspberry Pi control system. The purpose of this research is to design, produce, and test the performance of powder packaging machines with the Raspberry Pi control system. This research uses an experimental research model with observational techniques in the form of a performance test. This research resulted in the design of the Raspberry Pi control system on a powder product packaging machine with a capacity of 240 pcs/hour. Based on the results of the control system performance test, it was found that the packaging was running well and consistent. From the rotation and stop pause of the stepper motor which has been set, it produces an average weight of the packaging and its contents weigh 13.737 grams. The difference in weight of the average product with the highest weight and the lowest weight is 0.063 grams and 0.057 grams. With a difference of less than 0.1 gram, it indicates that the weight resulting from packaging sugar products is good and consistent. In the pressing process, the temperature sensor takes temperature readings correctly, so that the heater can reach the press temperature of 1500C. Based on the trials and calculations that have been done, it is obtained 2,640 packages within 1 hour. This amount fulfills the initial target of designing a powder product packaging machine with Raspberry Pi control.

Abstract

Human factors are unavoidable in traffic accidents, so early detection is needed. Fatigue while driving can be interpreted as drowsiness or nervous breakdown. Therefore, vehicle drivers must be able to increase their vigilance. The occurrence's cause is mainly human negligence due to tired driving. When the body feels tired, it is difficult to stay awake and focus. For this reason, this study was undertaken to propose a comprehensive approach to explore parameters indicating eye fatigue or driver drowsiness.. Detection of eye fatigue in vehicle drivers uses a smartphone camera (droid cam) to acquire and detect the driver's eyes using face recognition. This application development uses OpenCV with the Python programming language. This research was conducted by detecting faces using the facial landmarks 68 algorithms and then looking for points around the eyes to calculate the eye aspect ratio. The results of the detection analysis on the eyes when open and closed indicate the rider's size is tired and buggy. The input from the program is the number of blinks of the rider's eyes every minute so that the quantity indicates the driver is tired, sleepy or fit. This figure indicates that motorists are sleepy and need to anticipate taking a short break to continue the journey later.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology in the industry, especially automotive, professional workers who are reliable and master their fields in theory and practice are expected. Ideally, educational institutions such as polytechnics should provide adequate equipment and facilities to achieve learning objectives. A critical process in the combustion engine system is where a cycle of pressure and temperature changes at each piston stroke. Unfortunately, many students' understanding of the diesel engine cycle system still needs to be improved, even though the diesel engine cycle had been discussed in the engine system course or thermodynamics. Therefore, this study was intended to modify the Diesel Engine in the heavy equipment workshop to be used as a learning media for the combustion engine and thermodynamic, especially the diesel cycle. This research started with identifying and preparing to identify and to prepare equipment and materials, installing pressure and temperature sensors, controller installation, calibration, and final testing. The test results show the correspondence between the theoretical and experimental cycles, although a few typical differences usually occur between theoretical and practical in the field.

Abstract

Escherichia coli (E.Coli) harms the environment in human digestion. E coli causes diarrhoea if one consumes food or drink that is not clean or exposed to bacteria. This research aims to produce a specimen that combines resin coated with TiO2 and partly ultraviolet light to kill Escherichia coli bacteria. The method used in this research is experimental. The activity in this research is mixing TiO2 nanomaterial with resin, then varying the time and exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Furthermore, observations were made by comparing the number of bacteria found in the two specimens with SEM. Specimens were analyzed using digital image processing. The appearance of the white capsule is the bacteria. The grey bottom is the specimen conclusion in this study was that the TiO2 (titanium dioxide) and resin specimens and modified ultraviolet radiation were quite effective in killing E.coli which achieved a 91% reduction in the number of bacteria.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta di lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan daftar peserta olimpiade sains nasional bidang fisika 2011 yang dirilis oleh Diknas terlihat bahwa komposisi asal peserta dari Jawa Tengah adalah SMAN 1 Purwokerto, SMAN 1 Brebes, SMAN 1 Ungaran, SMAN BBS Sragen, SMAN 1 Pekalongan, SMA Kolose Loyola Semarang, SMAN 1 Surakarta, dan SMA Regina Pacis Surakarta. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk membekali materi praktikum bagi guru físika di luar SMA yang disebutkan di atas sehingga mempunyai pengalaman mempersiapkan siswanya untuk mengikuti OSN dari tingkat awal. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta tentang materi praktikum yang diujikan OSN seperti bandul fisis, dan momen inersia silinder, osilasi tabung berisi air, 80 % dapat memahami konsep dan teori yang terkait dengan praktium tersebut. Untuk rumusan bagaimana praktikum bandul fisis dan momen inersia silinder dilaksanakan, 90 % dapat menjelasakan dengan baik, dan hanya 10 % peserta yang dapat menjelaskan tahapan praktikum osilasi tabung berisi air.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan profesional guru kelompok bermain (KB PAUD) sebagai khalayak sasaran dalam penguasaan pembelajaran matematika anak usia dini, yang ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya skor apersepsi dan posttest tentang konsep-konsep matematika dalam kegiatan PAUD. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini meliputi tiga tahapan, yaitu: (1) tahap awal persiapan (perijinan, materi kegiatan dan instrumen penilaian); (2) tahap kedua adalah pelaksanaan kegiatan pemberdayaan pendidik PAUDdalam pembelajaran matematis untuk pengembangan kognitif anak usia dini di kabupaten Brebes; dan (3) tahap akhir adalah evaluasi untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penerimaan materi pelatihan yang diserap pada peserta.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kenaikan penguasaan materi konsep-konsep matematis dalam kegiatan pembelajaran anak usia dini (76 menjadi 90). Kondisi sebelum implementasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa banyaknya peserta yang setuju bahwa pada usia dini (PAUD) tidak diperkenankan mengenalkan konsep-konsep matematis masih cukup tinggi, yaitu mendekati 50%. Demikin juga banyaknya peserta yang setuju bahwa aktivitas menghitung sama sekali tidak dilakukan dalam PAUD sebesar 36%.

Abstract

Target penurunan angka kematian ibu (AKI) menjadi 102/100.000 kelahiran hidup belum tercapai belum tercapai sampai berakhirnya MDGs tahun 2015. Dalam dua tahun terakhir, kasus kematian ibu di kabupaten Kendal meningkat. Pada tahun 2015 terjadi 23 kasus, naik dari tahun sebelumnya yaitu 19 kasus. Wilayah Singorojo merupakan wilayah yang belum bisa menekan kasus kematian ibu secara signifikan. Dua tahun terakhir terjadi 2 kasus kematian ibu. Penyebab utamanya adalah perdarahan, hipertensi dan anemia. Faktor yang memperberat terjadinya kematian ibu. Kondisi geografis, sosiokultural, letak serta wilayah yang masih pedesaan dan jauh dari pusat layanan kesehatan rujukan turut berpengaruh terhadap kejadian kematian ibu. Pemetaan awal oleh Tim Pengabdi diketahui bahwa faktor risiko gangguan kehamilan dan komplikasi persalinan banyak terjadi di desa Singorojo kecamatan Singorojo kabupaten Kendal. Deteksi dini terhadap faktor risiko gangguan kehamilan menjadi informasi yang wajib diketahui oleh setiap ibu hamil dan masyarakat sejak sedini mungkin untuk menurunkan jumlah kasus kematian ibu khususnya di wilayah pedesaan.Pemerintah telah melakukan upaya menurunkan kematian ibu melalui peran Bidan Desa. Namun, keterbatasan jumlah Bidan dan cakupan wilayah yang cukup luas menjadi kendala dalam memberikan informasi secara komprehensif kepada ibu hamil. Pos Keluarga Siaga menjadi alternatif solusi permasalahan tersebut. Melalui peningkatan peran serta masyarakat khususnya Kader Posyandu, Pos Keluarga Siaga ini dapat menjadi wadah edukasi, pemetaan kehamilan berisiko (risk mapping) sekaligus menjadi media untuk melakukan konseling (micro counseling) terhadap ibu hamil berisiko. Melalui kegiatan Pos Keluarga Siaga di wilayah pedesaan ini, Kader telah mampu melakukan kegiatan pemetaan kehamilan berisiko, terampil menggunakan instrumen surveilans factor risiko kehamilan, serta memahami seluruh isian yang ada dalam instrumen tersebut. Kader juga telah mampu melakukan interpretasi hasil pemetaan menurut skor risiko kehamilan. Berdasarkan hasil pemetaan yang dilakukan oleh Kader di masing-masing wilayah di desa Singorojo, diketahui hasil bahwa dari 69 ibu hamil yang telah diidentifikasi melalui kegiatan surveilans kehamilan berisiko diketahui 31,88% (22 orang) di antaranya masuk dalam kategori kehamilan risiko tinggi (KRT), dan terdapat 6 ibu hamil (8,69%) dalam kategori risiko sangat tinggi.
