Abstract

Smart parenting is intelligent parenting by parent and adults in order satisfy needs, provide protection and educate in daily life in achieving development optimal. Children’s problems are caused by mistakes or ignorance of parents going the way of communication and the delivery of the right method in children. For most parents conscious and unconscious; often treat children as a robot that can be instructed and have to run any commands that given to him. They forgot that a child is also a individuals in the smaller having, feeling, desires, and action.Training about smart parenting is addressed in the parents in the county of Kendal, especially the mothers who become the object of attaching first child. Devotion to this community will discuss about optimization cognitive development and creativity early childhood. Expectation of this training is parent to have knowledge and understanding new in apply to a child, talking about parenting especially for improvement of cognitive and creativity child. The parents expected to child care with good and right, accompanying in passing duty child development, and created a generation of gold for the future.

Abstract

Gunungpati Sub-district, Semarang is a special durian fruit producing region. One of the negative impacts of the existence of durian center in Gunungpati area is the volume of garbage leather durian accumulate. To overcome that problem, there needs to be innovation in durian skin waste management by involving the public so that durian leather waste can be utilized to be a product of economic value. One of the potential durian skin is the high essential oil content. Durian leather essential oil contains flavonoid compounds, saponins, and polyphenols that are toxic to pests and mosquitoes that can be utilized to be environmentally friendly vegetable pesticides. Therefore, to overcome the problem of high durian leather garbage volume, it is necessary to conduct commu- nity service activities aimed at providing knowledge to the community about how to increase added value for durian leather waste and provide skills to the community about how to process durian leather waste into biopesticides. In order to achieve the goals and objectives, this community service is carried out through several stages. The first phase is coordination with community leaders and lo- cal government, the second stage is the socialization to partners about the negative impact of durian leather waste and giving material about the potential of durian leather. The second stage is training to provide skills to the partner community on how to process durian leather waste into biopesticides. The third stage is the training activity of the application of biopesticide waste durian skin on the plant. The fourth phase of the activity is monitoring and evaluation. The final stage of this devotional activity is the making of reports and dissemination of devotion through scientific publication. In addition to positive impact on environmental hygiene, community service activities are also useful for empowering the economy of society to be independent and have the spirit of entrepreneurship through the innovative skills of making eco-friendly biopesticides from waste durian.

Abstract

Implementation of the program is aimed at solving problems IbM exist in the industry wingko babat for small industries that took place in the industry wingko babat stamp pack “Lokomotif” owned Slamet Riyono located on Jl . Brotojoyo IV / 3 Semarang ( UKM 1 ) and wingko babat Babat “ Pak Moel “ Jl . Central Pekunden 1106 Semarang ( UKM 2 ) as a partner for existing Wingko Babat at semarang group . This method IbM program is disseminating the program , design mixer ( mixer ) wingko Babat with a capacity of ± 100 kg as an effort to improve the quality and quantity of industrial production wingko Babat in Semarang “ , then tested as a training and demonstration plotting mixer ( mixer ) which is performed in industry wingko babat stamp “Lokomotif” . The results of this trial showed that mixing homogeneity quite fit the industry standard and quality that matches the flavor industry . Training aspects of business management , namely financial management accounting practice , the parties will have a balance of UKM partners every week , or month , or year

Abstract

Secara Geografis Kecamatan Candisari memiliki luas 6,54 km2  dari luas wilayah 373,70 Km2 yang dimiliki Kota Semarang. Secara topografis Candisari terdiri dari daerah perbukitan dengan  kemiringan 15-40%. Kondisi lereng tanah Kota Semarang. Berdasarkan Wilayah Pengembangan Kota Semarang Kecamatan Candisari termasuk dalam wilayah Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Olaha Raga (Sumber : Bapeda Kota Semarang). Hal jelas terlihat adanya potensi tersebut, terbukti dengan adanya Lapangan Golf Candi Indah, Wisata Air : Water Boom dan Keberadaan Sekolah Internasioanal. Disamping itu dengan wilayah perbukitan banyak wisata kuliner ada diwilayah tersebut. Video profile, sebagai salah satu dari produk kemajuan teknologi audio visual, menjadi salah satu media promosi yang memiliki konsep yang unik, modern, dan mampu mensugesti pasar. Tujuan Pelaksanaan Kegiatan ini adalah : 1) Agar perserta dapat belajar bagaimana merekam dan mengedit video potensi desa  (menggunakan Windows Movie Maker) untuk digunakan sebagai sarana pembuatan profil desa; 2) Membekali para peserta dengan cara yang sangat efektif untuk mendemonstrasikan cara pembuatan video profil desa; 3) Memperkenalkan para peserta terhadap satu cara lagi bagaimana mengintegrasikan TIK, yaitu video, ke dalam kegiatan-kigiatan sarana promosi desa.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dari Universitas Negeri Semarang di Tuntang Kabupaten Semarang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Ketua Posdaya dalam memanage organisasi. Manfaat kegiatan ini ialah memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan manajerial ketua Posdaya di Tuntang Kabupaten Semarang. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan dengan pemberian materi dan praktik simulasi. Khalayak sasaran dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah  seluruh ketua Posdaya di Tuntang Kabupaten Semarang. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah metode ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi dan praktik. Evaluasi kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan.

Abstract

It has been done  a research to design a heat-to-electric converter as an alternative electrical energy source based on the thermoelectric generator devices that can convert the heat into the DC electricity. This research aims to determine the optimal operating temperature range to produce the thermoelectric generator’s output voltage as the desired conversion module. The developed conversion module uses the Seebeck effect by applying four thermoelectric generators arranged in an electrical circuit series. The electric current in thermoelectric generator occurs under the Seebeck effect due to the temperature difference between the two metal chips in the thermoelectric generator module. Candles were used as a heat source of thermoelectric generator module, while water is used for cooling. The results showed that the application of thermoelectric generator technology had produced an electrical voltage of about 5 volts. The thermoelectric generator’s operating temperature around 100 ºC, and the temperature of the water cooling medium was maintained at around 30 ºC so that there is a correlation with a temperature difference of about 70 ºC between the two sides of the thermoelectric generator chips. The electrical voltage that occurs could be used as a source of electrical energy for any purposes.

Abstract

Kelompok ternak Patra Sutera di Desa Ledok Kecamatan Sambong Kabupaten Blora yang berdiri pada tahun 2013 telah mempunyai sapi 8 ekor yang berada di kandang komunal yang dikelola oleh 6 anggota kelompok. Dalam satu hari setiap ekor sapi dapat menghasilkan limbah padat sebanyak 20-30 kg dan limbah cair sebanyak 100-150 liter yang selama ini belum dikelola dengan baik. Limbah dari kegiatan ternak belum terolah dengan baik dan dibuang ke lingkungan sehingga menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi kesehatan masyarakat sekitar kandang. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi kondisi ini adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan keterampilan atau pendampingan bagaimanakah teknik pembuatan pupuk organic dan reaktor biogas sederhana, mengoperasikan, serta memanfaatkan gas yang dihasilkan. Dalam kegiatan ini akan diberikan pelatihan keterampilan bagaimana cara mengolah limbah ternah untuk dijadikan pupuk dan pestisida organik,serta pengelolaan biodigester. Dari kegiatan ini Anggota kelompok ternak Patra Sutera mendapat pengetahuan dan mengolah limbah kotoran ternak (padat dan cair) yang keliar dari biodigester menjadi pupuk yang lebih bermanfaat.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a manual book to improve Indonesian migrant workers with destination Malaysia. This research adopted the research and development model (RnD)proposed by Thiagarajan. Data collection technique employed questionnaire, observation, and pre-posttest. The need analysis was conducted through pretest and the result of observation and questionnaire. The expert judgment involved media expert, material expert and Indonesian migrant workers to assess the prototype of the manual book. Quantitative data were obtained from pretest and posttest scores and the questionnaire from expert validation and user. Descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques were used to process the data observation. Quantitative data analysis was used to examine the scores obtained from the pre and posttest. The research produced (1) a manual book design and (2) a product of manual books which has been tested for its effectiveness and practicality in improving Indonesian migrant worker knowledge.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan desain dan pengembangan produk berupa buku panduan un- tuk meningkatkan pengetahuan Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) dengan tujuan Malaysia. Model yang digu- nakan dalam penelitian ini adalah research and development (RnD) dari Thiagarajan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner, observasi dan pre-posttest. Data yang diperoleh melalui analisis kebutuhan dengan memberikan pretest, observasi, dan kuisioner. Validasi ahli dengan instrumen kuisioner untuk me- nilai prototipe buku panduan oleh ahli media, ahli materi, dan TKI tersebut. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari hasil pretes dan postes kepada TKI dan kuisioner untuk validasi media dan respon dari TKI. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan desain pre-experiment dengan one group pretest-postest design. Hasil penelitian menghasilakn sebuah desain dan produk buku panduan yang telah teruji efektivitasnya dalam meningkat- kan pengetahuan TKI.

Abstract

Product or service Wira New Business (WUB) generated the students have the advantage of science and technology. Independent entrepreneurs from universities that produce the products / services can be developed through the science and technology-based business consulting to experts, research and laboratories on campus. Readiness is integrated and holistic childbirth entrepreneurs from universities, superior, has a broader and more adaptative insight. Entrepreneurship lecture testruktur, entrepreneurial practices chance divasilitasi Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K) through a grant to try to try. Student Entrepreneurial Program (PMW) which provide more opportunities, where students who tried because of limited funds got very soft loan (without interest). Useful for students to practice managing capital / funding from outside to study the production, trade, repay, and so on.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to solve the problems faced by Mitra IbM who strive in the creative industry, in this case the palm fiber broom. IbM partner’s location is located in the center of the broomstick industry in Kel. Wonolopo, Mijen Sub-district of Central Java. There are two aspects of the problem to be addressed, namely aspects of production and management aspects. As the implementation team this activity involves lecturers and students with areas of expertise in accordance with the needs of the field. In the implementation, several methods are used to support each other, such as lectures for theoretical and motivational materials, demon- strations / demonstrations to deliver practice materials / skills, hands-on practices by partners, and mentoring activities. The results of this activity among others are: 1) Produced one unit of circle sawing machine, 2) Produced one unit of dowel machine, 3) The quality and design of broom increased, 4) The application of business bookkeeping, 5) The existence of labels and product promotion, 6) Product marketing increased, 7) Income and business turnover increased
