Abstract

Tulisan ini bermaksud menyajikan metode-metode yang dapat dipergunakan dalam upaya perumusan dan penelitian psikologi islami. Menurut penulls, metode-metode yang perlu dikembangkan dalam upaya perumusan psikologi lslami adalah metode keyakinan, metode rasio­ sinasi, integrasi metode keyakinan dan rasiosinasi, serta metode otoritas. Untuk penelitian psikologi lslami, menurut penulis, metode yang perlu dikembangkan seisin selain metode ilmiah adalah metode intuisi, dan metode eksperimen spiritual. Penulis menekankan bahwa penggunaan metode yang beragam inf dikarenakan ilmu pengetahuan Islam senantiasa berupaya untuk menerapkan metode-metode yang berlainan sesuai dengan watak subjek yang dipelajari serta cara-cara memahami subjek tersebut. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada perbedaan tingkat konformitas ditinjau dari gaya hidup pada remaja.Penelitian ini melibatkan sebanyak 90 responden yang berusia antara 18-21 tahun, akan tetapi yang terpakai selanjutnya hanya 54 dengan rincian 33 responden masuk dalam Kelompok Gaya Hidup yang tidak terdefinisi dan tiga lainnya memiliki skor ekstrim yang mengganggu. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dua buah skala yaitu skala konformitas dan skala gaya hidup. Analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah mempergunakan analisis varians satu jalur dari Kruskal-Wallis kemudian dilanjutkan dengan perbandingan mean dari Mann-Whitney U. Pengelompokan gaya hidup pada subjek dilakukan dengan teknik pemecahan median untuk masing-masing data aitem gaya hidup.Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan adanya perbedaan tingkat konformitas ditinjau dari gaya hidup pada remaja diterima dengan H = 8,2149 (p<0,05). Analisis lebih lanjut menghasilkan perbandingan antar gaya hidup dengan nilai U sebagai berikut : gaya hidup sportif dengan gaya hidup rumahan menghasilkan U = 33,45 (p>0,05), gaya hidup sportif dengan sosial ,menghasilkan nilai U = 82,5 (p>0,05), gaya hidup sportif dengan  kebanyakan menghasilkan nilai U = 28,5 (p<0,05), gaya hidup rumahan dengan gaya hidup sosial menghasilkan nilai U = 51,5 (p>0,05), gaya hidup rumahan dengan kebanyakan menghasilkan nilai U = 14,0 (p>0,05), dan gaya hidup sosial dengan kebanyakan mendapatkan nilai U = 115,5 (p>0,05). Dari analisis tersebut juga didapatkan adanya peringkat mean dari gaya hidup sportif sebesar 36,88; gaya hidup rumahan sebesar 33,17; gaya idup sosial sebesar 23,10 dan gaya hidup kebanyakan sebesar 22,89. Kata kunci    :   konformitas, gaya hidup, remaja

Abstract

Abstrak. Karyawan yang memiliki keterikatan kerja yang tinggi penting dimiliki oleh perusahaan agar dapat berkompetisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran efikasi diri sebagai variabel moderator pada hubungan antara tuntutan pekerjaan dan keterikatan kerja. Penelitian ini melibatkan 90 karyawan di Yogyakarta. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah adaptasi skala The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003), skala Tuntutan Pekerjaan (berdasar Schaufeli & Bakker, 2004), dan skala Efikasi Diri (berdasar Bandura, 1997). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat korelasi negatif antara tuntutan pekerjaan dan keterikatan kerja; (2) Terdapat korelasi positif antara efikasi diri dan keterikatan kerja; (3) Tuntutan pekerjaan dan efikasi diri secara bersama-sama dapat menjadi prediktor bagi tuntutan kerja; dan (4) Tidak terdapat efek moderasi efikasi diri pada hubungan antara tuntutan pekerjaan dan keterikatan kerja. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, walaupun efikasi diri menjadi prediktor bagi keterikatan kerja, tetapi kuat lemahnya efek tuntutan pekerjaan terhadap keterikatan kerja tidak dipengaruhi oleh kuat lemahnya efikasi diri.Kata Kunci: efikasi diri, keterikatan kerja, tuntutan pekerjaanJob Demand and Work Engagement among Banking Employees:The Role of Self-Efficacy as ModeratorAbstract. Employees with high work engagement are important for the company. This study aimed to determine the role of self-efficacy as a moderator variable on the relationship between job demands and work engagement. This study involved 90 employees in Yogyakarta. The scale used in this study was the adaptation scale of The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003) job demand scale (based on Schaufeli & Bakker, 2004) and self-efficacy scale (based on Bandura, 1997). The results imply that: (1) There is a negative correlation between job demands and work engagement; (2) There is a positive correlation between self-efficacy and work engagement; (3) Job demands and self-efficacy can be predictors of work engagement; and (4) There is no moderating effect on self-efficacy on the relationship between job demands and work engagement. Therefore, it might be concluded that although self-efficacy is a predictor of work engagement, but the strength of the effects of job demands on work engagement is not influenced by the strength of self-efficacy.Keywords: job demand, self-efficacy, work engagement

Abstract

Internet make human life easier. Internet enables human to communicate and share information virtually. Meanwhile, internet is sometime misused, such as for gaining sexual pleasure or cybersex. In this study, researchers examined the effect of religious identity and moral disgust on cybersex behavior. Researchers assumes that the identification of religious values and sensitivity to violations of these values can dencrease cybersex behavior. Cybersex behavior consisting of interactive and noninteractive aspect was measured by a cybersex behavior scale (cronbach'alpha = .89); Religious Identity consisting of internalization, religious affiliation, and symbolization is measured by religious identity scale (cronbach'alpha = .93), and moral disgust was measured by a moral disgust scale (cronbach'alpha = .91). Data were obtained from 166 students of Psychology of University X. The results of hypothesis testing using multiple regression analysis showed that religious identity and Moral disgust, both together (R = .483) or individually (â1 = - .325, t = -4256, p <.001; â2 = - .242, t = -3174, p = .002) showed a negative influence on cybersex behavior. In addition, religious identity and moral disgust showed a significant correlation (r = .440, p <.001).Keywords : cybersex behavior, religious identity, moral disgust

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kompetensi interpersonal dan konsep diri dengan kemandirian, baik secara bersama-sama maupun sendiri-sendiri. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara kompetensi interpersonal dengan kemandirian, terdapat hubungan antara konsep diri dengan kemandirian dan terdapat hubungan ganda antara kompetensi interpersonal dan konsep diri dengan kemandirian anak asuh di panti asuhan yatin Islam di Yogyakarta.            Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak asuh di panti asuhan yatim Islam Kota Yogyakarta yang berusia remaja (13-21 tahun). Panti asuhan yatim Islam di Kota Yogyakarta terdapat tiga panti asuhan, yaitu Panti Asuhan Yatim Putra Muhammadiyah, Panti Asuhan Yatim Putri Islam dan Panti Asuhan Yatim Putri ‘Asyiyah. Subjek diambil secara random dengan berpedoman pada Tabel Kecjie, yaitu 85 subjek.            Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah angket kemandirian, angket kompetensi interpersonal dan angket konsep diri yang disusun oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan; terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kompetensi interpersonal dengan kemandirian (r = 0,600), terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara konsep diri dengan kemandirian (r = 0,592). Hubungan ganda antara kompetensi interpersonal dan konsep diri dengan kemandirian tidak dapat dianalisis karena terjadi kolinearitas antara dua variabel bebas. Kata Kunci    :    Kemandirian, Kompetensi Interpersonal, Konsep Diri

Abstract

Al Fatihah reflection Therapy (ART) is a theistic psychotherapy that shares characteristics with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) from Beck. However, the conceptualization and intervention emphasis differs in some ways. The ART has a vertical dimension (theistic) which uses the verses of Al Fatiha as a reflection of the changing thoughts, feelings, and behavior of individuals through restructuring cognitive, reading passages, and behavioral tasks. It is expected the ART can be applied, do research, and can be considered as a single intervention or additional interventionsfor Muslim clients.Keywords: Al-Fatihah, Reflection, Cognitive Restructuring, Verses Recitation, Behavioral Task.

Abstract

This aim of this research was to understand the difference of sumpek between women and men who live in high density area in Yogyakarta, The women ability that is more adaptive on several aspects made the reasearcherformmulateda hypothesis "There is a difference on sumpek between women and men who live in high density place in Yogyakarta, men, tend to feel sumpek or crowded compared to women ". Samples of this research were taken from the highest densely populated area in Yogyakarta, with stratified sampling tecniques. The reasearcher got ¡10 samples which were 52 women and 58 men from kecamatan Pakualaman andDanUrejan. The result showed t (52,58) = -1,198 with p> 0,05. The result showed that there was no significant difference between two groups that were compared, so the hypothesis that was stated, that was a difference on sumpek between women and men who live in high density place in Yogyakarta is rejected.Key words: sumpek, men and women, high density area

Abstract

Moral violation among students, from elementary school until high school, is increasing both in quantity and quality. The government has put in effort to overcome this problem through moral and ethic lessons. On the other hand, parents encounter problems in upholding the rules for children. In the other words, parents have not found an effective way to plant moral lessons (Andayani, 2000).An effective form of communication results from the combination of father child and mother chils interaction quality, using persuasive expressions persistently, avoiding physical punishments, and expressions indicating self esteem (Elizabeth and Cardlyn, 1999; Maria, 1999).A qualitative method was used in the case study. The research subjects consist of pre-school students until first graders of 4 to 7 years old. Student’s interaction, both with teachers at school and with parents at home, was observed with structureless observation method, and followed by interview with teachers and parents. The observation settings are as follows : 1) houses; 2) Sunday school; 3) Play group; 4) Taman Siswa Elementary School; 5) Kindergarten.Findings : 1) Toleration, honesty, courage, and forgivingness are moral values which are more often conveyed by teachers to students at school; 2) moral values which are taught concerns more with the completion of school works; 3) not many teachers covey warnings in Javanese language; 4) warnings conducted by parents consist of a more angry characteristic and not of advice; 5) moral value taught at home concerns more with obedience toward parents, disciplinary and diligence. Key words     :   persistent persuasion

Abstract

This article is an effort to describe the  from childhood to adolescence. The Fowler’s theory  of faith development  is used as reference. The focus of this article is to answer the question of how children who already developed (learned from child) can later on show doubt in their religion. Abstract

The current study explore whether or not a creative learning model can serve as the media for implementing a competency-based curriculum. More specifically, this study test the model as it is implemented in elementary school social studies class. Competency based curriculum is designed to enhance a more exciting learning experience, to develop creative thinking and to provide necessary life skills for students. This way, students are expected to gain core competence as a result of their learning (i.e. social studies in this research). The participant of this study were teachers and students  in three elementary school in the city of Martapura, Kalimantan, and one elementary school in Banjarmasin, Kalimantan. This study used an action research design. In this design, teachers were trained to apply creative learning model every once a week for a consecutive 8 weeks. After the learning model implementation, data were gathered by using interview, observation and documentation. Results of the study show that 1). The Model is feasible to be applied as the media for competency based curriculum 2). More fun and exciting experience shows up in the learning process 3). Students were actively involved in the class 4).  Students creativity was facilitated in their learning   4). Life skills were facilitated and appeared in the learning process.
