Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of workload and work environment on employee performance of Best Western The Lagoon Hotel Manado. This research uses a quantitative approach and the population of Best Westen The Lagoon Hotel Manado employees is 47 employees. Data collection was carried out in several ways, namely interviews, questionnaires, field studies and literature studies, and the sample in this study used saturated sampling techniques, namely sampling of all existing employees, while the instrument used a Likert scale, with data processing using the SPSS version 30 application. The results in this study are partially (1) workload has no effect on employee performance, (2) work environment affects employee performance, (3) simultaneously workload and work environment affect employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and job engagement on job satisfaction at PT Pegadaian Karombasan Manado Branch. Data were collected through questionnaires on 26 employees using census sampling techniques. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (SmartPLS 4.1.1.4). The results show: (1) transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on job engagement; (2) job engagement has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction; (3) transformational leadership does not have a direct effect on job satisfaction through job engagement. These findings confirm the importance of transformational leadership style in building job engagement, although the indirect effect on job satisfaction requires further attention in the environment of PT Pegadaian Karombasan Manado Branch.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resource management (HRM) practices and job satisfaction on employee performance at PT Bank SMBC Indonesia Tbk, Manado Branch Office. The research method used is quantitative with a Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The research population consists of 50 permanent employees, with a sample of 34 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and processed using the SmartPLS software to test validity, reliability, and relationships among variables. The results indicate that HRM practices have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, as well as a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, job satisfaction does not have a significant effect on employee performance. This finding implies that employee performance improvement is primarily determined by effective HRM practices rather than directly by the level of job satisfaction. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that effective human resource management including proper recruitment systems, relevant training, fair compensation, and objective performance evaluation plays an important role in enhancing employee productivity and performance. Meanwhile, job satisfaction only plays an indirect role in influencing performance. Keywords: Human Resource Management Practice, Job Satisfiction, Employee Performance, SEM-PLS

Abstract

The urgency of this research is to improve the quality of service of hotel business actors to increase customer satisfaction and the quality of the tourism industry in Tomohon City. This research was conducted to help hotel business actors to improve customer satisfaction by analyzing the quality of service and facilities as the main variables with a marketing management model, because good quality of service and facilities are the main factors to strengthen the hotel business. The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the quality of service and facilities using a marketing management model to improve customer satisfaction to be able to solve problems related to the National Research Master Plan on the focus of Social Humanities with the theme of Tourism and the Creative Economy and the topic of Creative Tourism Development as well as solving problems related to the second goal of the creative economy sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job insecurity and work ability on job satisfaction at PT FWD Insurance Megamas Area, specifically among agents/employees. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 68 selected respondents using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. Partial Test (t-test) Results: Job insecurity did not show a significant effect on job satisfaction (significance value > 0.05). Work ability had a significant effect on job satisfaction (significance value < 0.05), meaning that improvements in work ability lead to increased job satisfaction. Simultaneous Test (F-test )Results: Both variables together had a significant effect on job satisfaction, as evidenced by a significant F value (p < 0.05). Coefficient of Determination (R²): The R² value of 0.561 (or 56.1%) indicates that job insecurity and work ability together explain more than half of the variance in job satisfaction. The remaining 43.9% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. Conclusion: Job insecurity does not significantly affect job satisfaction when viewed individually, while work ability has a significant positive effect. However, when both variables are considered simultaneously, they significantly influence job satisfaction, albeit with differing contributions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality and information technology on customer satisfaction at Bank SulutGo, Calaca Branch. The research employs a quantitative approach using an associative method to examine relationships between variables. The sample consisted of 96 active customers of Bank SulutGo Calaca Branch selected as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, t tests, F tests, and the coefficient of determination. The findings indicate that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, as shown by a calculated t value greater than the t table value (4.444 > 1.985). Information technology also has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, evidenced by a calculated t value exceeding the t table value (6.698 > 1.985). Simultaneously, service quality and information technology significantly influence customer satisfaction. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.673 indicates that 67.3 percent of the variation in customer satisfaction can be explained by service quality and information technology, while the remaining 32.7 percent is influenced by other variables not included in this study. These results suggest improving customer satisfaction through better technology.

Abstract

Generation Z is a consumer group highly adaptable to technology and social media, making beauty influencers and information from their social circle highly influential in their purchasing decisions. Skintific, as a growing brand in the cosmetics and skincare market, needs to understand these factors to maintain and increase its market turnover. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to a sample of Generation Z in Manado City who have purchased Skintific products. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The collected data was then analyzed using multiple regression analysis to test the research hypotheses. The results of this study are expected to provide evidence regarding the extent to which beauty influencers, brand image, and word-of-mouth contribute to purchasing decisions for Skintific products among Gen Z. Furthermore, the findings should positively impact Skintific in designing more effective marketing strategies, especially in leveraging beauty influencers, building a strong brand image, and encouraging the spread of positive word-of-mouth among target consumers.
