Jurnal Siasat Bisnis (JSB) is a peer review journal published twice a year (January and July) by Management Development Centre (MDC)-Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Islam Indonesia. Abstract

This research aim is to analyze the effect of efficiency business cycle in up and down stream condition by using real estate industries listed on Jakarta Stock Exchange. The analytical is used multivariate analysis of variance (Manova). The result shown that Wilks Lambda 0.364 and p-value 0.000.In up stream condition shows that variable efficiency: return on asset, return on equity, current ratio, debt to equity ratio and total liabilities to total asset have higher value than in down stream condition.In down stream condition, some assets are not used so that returns on asset to be low. Interest rate of commercial banks are high so interest expense to be big and finally real estate industries to be loss so return on equity to be low.Current ratio is lower because long term debt has been restructurization and rescheduling due to be current liabilities. There for asset financing for realestate industries are used debt than equity so total liabilities to total asset and debt to equity to be higher.Keywords:    Business Cycle, efficiency, return on asset, return on equity, current ratio, debt to equity and total liabilities to total asset.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peringkat perusahaan berdasarkan ASEAN corporate governance scorecard, sebagai variabel pemoderasi, atas pengaruh kepemilikan asing terhadap nilai perusahaan di ASEAN. Sample penelitian terdiri dari 491 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di pasar modal Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia tahun 2012-2013. Dengan analisis white-regression, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa peringkat 50 tertinggi ASEAN corporate governance scorecard memoderasi pengaruh kepemilikan asing terhadap nilai perusahaan. Skor tinggi ASEAN corporate governance scorecard; sebagai peningkatan hak pemegang saham, kesetaran pemegang saham, peran pemangku kepentingan, pengungkapan dan transparansi, serta tanggung jawab dewan; meningkatkan peran pemegang saham asing dalam meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Manajemen dapat membuat kebijakan mengenai kepemilikan asing juga corporate governance yang optimal, sehingga manajemen dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan pemegang saham melalui peningkatan nilai perusahaan. Investor yang tertarik berinvestasi di luar negeri, khususnya di ASEAN, harus memperhatikan kondisi corporate governance perusahaan, sehingga kesejahteraan investor dapat meningkat.Kata Kunci: ASEAN corporate governance scorecard, kepemilikan asing, nilai perusahaan.

Abstract

AbstractPerception of organizational politics has important role in the organization. It’s because many empirical findings show that perception of organizational politics have impact on performance. Many factors have contributed to the development of organizational politics. The purpose of this study are to investigate the impact of transformational and transactional leadership on perception of organizational politics and to investigate the impact of perception of organizational politics on organizational outcomes such as job satisfaction, affective commitment with ingratiation as moderating variable. The research finding that transformational leadership have negative impact on perception of organizational politics, transactional leadership have no impact on perception of organizational politics, perception of organizational politics have negative impact on job satisfaction, perception of organizational politics have no impact on affective commitment, ingratiation moderate the relationship beween perception of organizational politics and job satisfaction, ingratiation moderate the relationship between perception of organizational politics and affective commitment.Keywords:perception of organizational politics, transformational, transactional, ingratiation.AbstrakPersepsi politik organisasional memiliki pengaruh penting dalam organisasi. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan persepsi politik organisasional berpengaruh negatif pada kinerja. Persepsi politik organisasional bukan suatu hal yang terbentuk dengan sendirinya. Salah satu diantaranya adalah faktor situasional yaitu kepemimpinan atasan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan transaksional pada persepsi politik organisasional dan menguji pengaruh persepsi politik organisasional pada outcomes organisasional seperti kepuasan kerja dan komitmen afektif dengan menggunakan ingrasiasi sebagai variabel pemoderasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh negatif pada persepsi politik organisasional, kepemimpinan transaksional tidak berpengaruh pada persepsi politik organisasional, persepsi politik organisasional berpengaruh negatif pada kepuasan kerja, persepsi politik organisasional tidak berpengaruh pada komitmen afektif, Ingrasiasi memoderasi pengaruh persepsi politik organisasional pada kepuasan kerja dan Ingrasiasi memoderasi pengaruh persepsi politik organisasional pada komitmen afektif.Kata Kunci:Persepsi politik organisasional, kepemimpinan transformasional dan transaksional, ingrasiasi.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mencoba memberikan kerangka pikir bagi manajemen SDM terhadap perubahan lingkungan bisnis yang akan kita hadapi di masa yang akan datang. Walaupun harapan selalu mengarah kepada kesuksesan, tetapi angkatan kerja dan lingkungan kerja telah berubah secara radikal, sementara kebanyakan struktur kerja tidak berubah dengan cepat. Di dalam penulisan artikel ini, penulis mencoba mengajukan suatu visi mengenai hubungan kerja dengan fleksibilitas dan keinovativan, partnership, dan powersharing terhadap perubahan lingkungan bisnis serta tuntutan pekerjaan yang telah terjadi dewasa ini. Tujuannya adalah suatu lingkungan di mana semua anggota organisasi mempunyai sense of community dan sense of belonging.

Abstract

The study aims to examine the relationship between Green Brand Positioning (GBP), Green Brand Knowledge (GBK), Attitude toward Green Brand (AGB), and Green Purchase Intention (GPI). The type of research is quantitative research with total samples of 315, selected using convenient sampling techniques. Data were collected through a questionnaire. Structural Equation Modeling with Lisrel 8.80 program was employed to analyze the hypotheses. The result shows that all of the hypotheses developed in this study are supported by the data. In other words, GBP positively influences GBK and AGB. At the same time GBK affects positively AGB, and AGB influence GPI positively. These results indicate that if green companies want to increase their consumers’ purchase intention, they should develop marketing strategies and programs that enhance their brand position and the consumer knowledge regarding the importance and benefit of green product which in turn increase a positive attitude of the consumers toward the brand. The limitations of this study are first, most of the respondents are young women; second, the study only uses one brand as the object; and finally, respondents involved in this study are those who ever used the products/brand without considering the belonging of the products.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate intention to be entrepreneur among university students in Yogyakarta. Based on modification of TPB (theory of planned behavior) and TAM (technology acceptance model), this research specifically examined whether entrepreneur’s personality is an important antecedent to explain attitude, risk perception and subjective norm of entrepreneur based on information technology (IT). This research tested whether attitude, risk perception and subjective norm of entrepreneur based on IT are important predictors to explain students’ intention to become entrepreneur based on IT. This research is a replication model proposed by Tjahjono and Palupi (2014). The samples in this research were 300 students from four large universities in Yogyakarta with purposive technique and were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of this research showed that attitude, risk perception, and subjective norm are consequences of entrepreneur’s personality and at the same time as antecedents to explain students’ intentions to be entrepreneur based on IT.Keywords: TPB, TAM and students intention to be entrepreneur.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi intensi mahasiswa di Yogyakarta berwirausaha. Berbasis pada modifikasi TPB (theory of planned behavior) dan TAM (technology acceptance model), penelitian ini secara spesifik menguji apakah kepribadian berwirausaha merupakan anteseden penting dalam menjelaskan sikap, persepsi resiko dan norma subjektif berwirausaha yang berbasis TI. Selanjutnya apakah sikap, persepsi resiko dan norma subjektif berwirausaha berbasis TI adalah prediktor penting dalam menjelaskan intensi mahasiswa berwirausaha yang berbasis TI. Penelitian ini merupakan replikasi model yang diajukan Tjahjono dan Palupi (2014). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 300 mahasiswa 4 perguruan tinggi besar di Yogyakarta dengan teknik penyampelan secara purposive. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap, persepsi resiko dan norma subjektif berwirausaha berbasis TI adalah konsekuensi kepribadian berwirausaha sekaligus anteseden intensi berwirausaha berbasis TI.Kata kunci: TPB, TAM dan intensi mahasiswa berwirausaha.

Abstract

This research evaluates the effect of quality service on customer satisfaction in program studies of uni¬versity that are granted with accreditation rate either A or B from Badan Akreditasi Nasional. It also attempts to evaluate different quality service from program studies of university that are granted with accreditation rate either A or B, and to evaluate different quality service from program studies of university that are granted with accredita¬tion in same rated. Quality service is measured with SERVQUAL in five dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangibles. The results show that customer satisfaction is affected by assurance, tangibles and reliability dimension. It also show that quality service is not different in program studies of university that are granted with accreditation rate ei¬ther A or B in reliability, responsiveness, tangible and empathy dimension. The different quality services from program studies of university that are granted with accreditation rate either A or B is on assurance dimension.  In program studies with same grant show that although they have accreditation rate A, they have different quality in five dimension, and in program studies that are granted with accreditation rate B, they have different quality in responsiveness, assurance and tangible dimension, but there are not different in empathy dimension.Key word: quality service, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy tangibles, Badan Akreditasi Nasional

Abstract

That financial literacy and psychological characteristics are important determinants of financial decisions have long been recognized in the literature. By focusing on Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), this study investigates the extent to which financial behaviour and financial well-being consisting of both financial security and financial anxiety can be explained by financial literacy and cognitive factors such as self-control, optimism, and deliberative thinking. Several demographic factors such as gender, age, educational background, and the length of engaging in MSMEs, as well as the characteristics of MSMEs such as industry and monthly sales turnover are functioned as control variables. Data were collected using a questionnaire that was purposively distributed to MSMEs’ actors and analysed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). In total, 155 samples were analyzed. The analysis shows that financial behaviour can be explained by deliberative thinking, financial security can be explained by financial literacy and optimism, while financial anxiety can be explained by self-control. Financial behaviour was also found to have a positive direct effect on financial security and financial anxiety. Thus, to improve the financial well-being of MSMEs’ actors, it may be necessary to improve their personal financial management skills that can lead to the positivity of financial behaviour.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the personal characteristics of the social-psychological antecedents consisting of cultural openness, patriotism, conservatism and collectivism on consumer ethnocentrism (CE). The survey was conducted on 202 consumers in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The results showed that the cultural openness has a negative effect on CE. This study also provides evidence that collectivism showed a significant positive influence on CE. While, patriotism and conservatism do not have a significant effect on CE. This study implies that openness of foreign culture can undermine CE. However, CE can be improved by keeping the values of collectivism. This research shows that consumers tend to be rational. Therefore patriotism and conservatism are not transferred to the CE pattern.Keywords: Cultural openness, patriotism, conservatism, collectivism, consumer ethnocentrismAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh karakteristik personal dari anteseden psikologi sosial yang terdiri dari keterbukaan budaya, patriotisme, konservatisme, dan kolektivisme terhadap etnosentrisme konsumen (CE). Survei dilakukan terhadap 202 konsumen di Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterbukaan budaya memiliki pengaruh negatif yang signifikan terhadap CE. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa kolektivisme memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap CE. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa keterbukaan terhadap budaya asing dapat memperlemah CE. Namun demikian CE dapat ditingkatkan dengan menjaga nilai-nilai kolektivisme. Peneliitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsumen cenderung rasional. Olehkarenanya patriotisme dan konservatisme tidak di transfer kedalam pola CE.Kata Kunci: Keterbukaan budaya, patriotisme, koservatisme, kolektivisme, etnosentrisme konsumen.

Abstract

The stream of the research on employee’ work behavior had been provided empirical evidences about the effect of one behavior on the others behavior. Current researches were conducted with two main concerns, first, to investigate the affect of distributive and procedural justice, and job satisfaction on turnover intent. And second, to examine the roles of affective, continuance and normative organizational commitment as the mediating variables on the effects of distributive, procedural justice, and job satisfaction on turnover intent. One-hundred-and-seventy-four employees from two state and private organizations located in Bengkulu Province participated voluntarily as the respondents. Three steps Mediated Regression Analysis (MRA) was employed to test the hy¬potheses. As expected, distributive justice, procedural justice, and job satisfaction negatively affect the turnover intent. In addition, the effect of distributive justice on turnover intent was mediated by affective and continuance organizational commitment. The effect of procedural justice was mediated by affective, continuance, and norma¬tive organizational commitment. And the effect of job satisfaction on turnover intent was mediated by affective and normative organizational commitment. The results were discussed as they related to researchers and practitio¬ners who becoming interested in employee’ work behavior.Key words: Distributive justice, procedural justice, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, turnover intent
