Abstract

The relation between 10 groups in 5 peat waters locations have the nearest relation that shown by the closeness between the groups in its spreading monometric character. There was founded 12 characters can be used as the model to distinguish the variety of Climbing perch. Actually, there were only 8 characters from 12 characters that have strong point to deceive the distinction of climbing perch morphology, which were, A1, A2, A4, B2, B5, C3, C5 and D3. The result of hierarchy analysis showed the biggest genetic range was happened between group 1 and group 3 with the numeric form is 0,078. The implication of that number was used to intersect between the groups or populations.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the quality of water and its relationship with zooplankton and fish communities. This study was conducted over ten (10) months, starting from December 2013 until September 2014 in Hanjalutung Lake. Zoopankton sampling done 2 times with 3 repetitions along with measurements of water quality. Methods used in this research is the method for sampling of zooplankton and fish and measurements of the parameters of physics, chemistry and biology, that are depth, brightness, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), and chlorophyll-a. These results showed that the water condition is still in the range that can be tolerated by zoopankton and fish. This study found 21 species of fishes, which dominated by Cyprinidae. Abundance of fish ranged from 1 – 335 fish. Diversity index ranged from 0 – 2 (moderate criteria), uniformity index ranges from 0 – 0,969 (the spread of individuals relatively evenly), and dominance index ranged from 0,222 – 0,763 (low dominance). The most zooplankton were phylum of Rotifera with abundance ranged from 8 – 256 ind/liter. Zooplankton diversity index ranged from 0,462 – 1,816 which allegedly communities were relatively stable during the observation, while the uniformity index ranged from 0,333 to 1 which indicates that the distribution of individuals among species occur relatively evenly and not domination. Water quality during the observation is still in the range that can be tolerated by zooplankton and fish in the Lake hanjalutung. Key words : Water quality, zooplankton community, fish community

Abstract

The aims of this research were to know the effect of three kind manures (cow, chicken, and goat) and to know the kind of manure that giving the best result to the growth and production of Brachiaria humidicola. This research was conducted in the experiment station farm of Animal Science Faculty, Palangka Raya Christian University. This research was designed by using completely random design (CRD) with single experiment factor. The result showed that the applications of three kind manure giving the effect to the number of tillers, the crop height, and the production of Brachiaria humidicola. Chicken manure was gived the best result of the tiller number and the production of Brachiaria humidicola

Abstract

The research takes location at Jl. A. Yani Km.85 Binuang. The aim of the research was to study the interaction between consentration and incubation period of EM4 on the quality of bokashi. This research used factorial of Completely Random Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factors are: contentration 0.05%, concentration 0.1%, concentration 0.2% and concentration 0.4%. While the second factors are: incubation period 4 days, incubation period 7 days and incubation period 10 days. The organoleptic test showed that the concentration and incubation period no significant effect on color, smelt and texture. Key words : Bokashi, effective microorganism, concentration, incubation.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the pattern of broiler meat consumption and to know the effect of education, income, and number of family members on broiler meat consumption patterns of households in Bereng Kalingu I Kereng Bangkirai village, Palangka Raya. This descriptive study was to survey, interview by distributing questionnaires. Results of the 50 respondents there were 19 respondents educated diploma/bachelor, 33 low income respondents between Rp 1,000,000 - 2,000,000, 25 respondents had 2 - 3 family members. Variable of education, income, and number of family members do not affect on consumption pattern of broiler meat.

Abstract

Chironomid larvae can be found in abundance in floodplain waters. This study aimed to determine the influence of water quality parameters on Chironomid larvae colonization on artificial substrates in Rungan river floodplain, Central Kalimantan. This study found 12 species of Chironomid larvae that colonize in artificial substrates : Chironomus, Cricotopus, Dicrotendipes, Microspectra, Polypedilum, Procladius, Tanytarsus, Xenochironomus, Larsia, Macropelopia, Psectrotanypus, and Clinotanypus. Chironomid larvae that colonize ranging from 6533-29568 individu.m-2 with a dry weight of 3.7821 to 16.0845 gram.m-2. Chironomid larvae abundance was positively correlated with water pH, the levels of nitrate, orthophosphate, and negatively correlated with total suspended solids (TSS). Key words : Chironomid larvae, artificial substrates, water quality, floodplain.

Abstract

This research aims to learn more about coriander (Cariandrum sativum) seasoning additions to make dried Tawes (Osteochilus sp) fish, so that products have a quality and prefered by consumer. Results of the study showed that the addition of coriander 0.01% of net weight of fish (has been weeding, be salted and added garlic) produces dried tawes fish with specification: protein concentration (46.80 percent); water content (11.69 percent); organoleptic values (7.66). The results of organoleptic were: appearance: intact and clean; smell: typical coriander fregrant; texture: compact and crispy; taste: very delicious specific taste of dried fish. Key words : Dried fish, coriander, Osteochilus sp.

Abstract

This experiment provide information about artificial feed, which is needed for the growth of fishes. The goal is to determine the effect of feeding with different percentage of artificial feed on the growth of Tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) which were reared in cages in river. The best results in this experiment is feeding 7% of artificial feed containing 30% protein, 8.1% fat, 14% carbohydrate, and DE 2.55 kcal.g-1.
