The purpose of this study was to compare the results of the design (theoretical) mix concrete plan fc' of 22.5 MPa for 1 m3 using the Department of Environment (DoE) and the method of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), of both methods will be known theoretically - use of materials optimal material (economical). Stages in the concrete mix design fc ' of 22.5 MPa are : (1) sieve analysis of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate, (2) examination of specific gravity and absorption of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate, (3) a weight check aggregate content and (4) examination of sludge levels using the same material that is derived from the aggregate quary Tanjung district of Rokan Hulu. Berdasarkan complicated the analysis and discussion concluded that the concrete mix design method of ACI produces a mixture proportion of material that is relatively less when compared to using DoE methods. This means that in practice the design of concrete mix ACI method is more economical in terms of the use of materials on using DoE methods.

The aim of this research was analyze of existing primary canal dimension at Muara Jalai Irrigation Area, Kampar District in order courage Program of Operasi Pangan Riau Makmur (OPRM) Riau Province for empowerment of rice. Method was used to analyze the water available using Mock Method by rainfall data in Pasar Kampar Station at year 1998 to 2008, and so climate data such as temperature, wind speed, humidity and sunshine. For the analyze of discharge capacity primary canal at Muara Jalai Irrigation Area, Kampar District using Continuity Law formulation. The result of this research prove that condition of capacity discharge for existing primary canal at Muara Jalai Irrigation area 0.08 m3/sec still have able to the planting pattern sce-nario pady-pady-pady, the maximum irrigation water requirment were found on Mei I 0.01 m3/sec.

Indonesia dilalui oleh dua jalur gempa dunia yakni Jalur Sirkum Pasific (Circum Pacific Belt) dan jalur Trans Asia (Trans Asiatic Belt). Kondisi ini menunjukan bahwa Indonesia merupakan daerah yang rawan terjadinya gempa bumi. Akhir-akhir ini daerah-daerah di Indonesia dilanda gempa bumi yang banyak menelan korban jiwa dan menghancurkan rumah penduduk dan gedung.Pada penelitian ini penulis menitikberatkan pada analisis denah bangunan tidak simetris dalam memikul beban dengan menggunakan SAP2000. Tipe struktur yang dianalisis adalah rumah sederhana bertingkat 2 yang berbentuk tidak simetris baik pada sumbu x maupun pada sumbu y. Uuntuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh bentuk denah terhadap kemampuan dalam menerima beban gempa, dalam hal ini dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SAP2000.Dari hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan SAP2000 untuk bangunan dengan denah tidak simetris dimana terjadi gaya torsi hampir pada semua elemen struktur (kolom dan balok). Pada bangunan tidak simetris gaya torsi yang terbesar terjadi pada daerah pertemuan struktur bangunan pada arah sumbu x dan y. Alternatif penanganan dalam rangka mengurangi gaya torsi yang terjadi pada struktur diatas adalah dengan memisahkan secara struktur bagian pertemuan dari bangunan pada arah sumbu x dan y.

This paper discusses the government's policy on the development of new energy-renewable and its relation to the utilization of palm oil waste in the form of biogas and biomass for power generation. Riau Province has a backup source of energy Biogas and Biomass from palm oil waste considerable. Biogas untapped in millers (MCC) reached 112MW, while the biomass of 905.8 MW. When this energy source utilized, can increase the electrification ratio, especially for rural areas (remote areas) reached 4.4% of the biogas and 36% of the biomass. Meanwhile, Electrification Ratio Riau Province in 2010 amounted to 43.27%, below the national average that has reached 65%. Development of Biogas PLTMG-sufficient financially beneficial to the period of return (payback period) for 6 years. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of adding silica fume in high strength concrete mix to the mechanical behavior of concrete through the study of compressive strength, elastic modulus, shrinkage and also an analysis of Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM). Supeplasticizer mixture composition used in this study is 1% for all the variations and the use of silica fume with a variation of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% by weight of cement. The specimens used were cylindrical with a diameter of 150 mm and height 300 mm, 40 sampel.Mutu concrete planned more than 40 MPa were tested at 28 days with the first treatment before testing. The results showed that the highest compressive strength of concrete contained in a mixture of silica fume concrete with the use of 5% that of 43 MPa. Concrete splitting tensile strength value of the highest obtained in this study is a variation of 5% silica fume which is 3.64 MPa. Elastic modulus on the use of silica fume 5% nerupakan largest value is 3.5944 x 104 MPa.

Biomass is the dry matter of organic material . Biomass is very important as a potential source ofenergy ( fuel ) . Very important properties of the fuel is the calorific value . Thus it is necessary forthe determination of calorific value by means of testing and then applied to the correlations existingtechnologies to be developed in further research . In this study the type of waste biomass is derivedfrom animal manure is manure , bat droppings , and goat manure . Tests performed with gaugescalorific value of biomass fuels Calorimeter . Further test results compared to the results of theestimation using correlation . Value for the test sample size of cow dung 10.90874 MJ / kg , goatdung 10.37851 MJ / kg and bat droppings of 17.09983 MJ / kg . In general, the closest correlationstudy of three kinds of sample average animal waste biomass fuel is obtained correlation Beckmanwith an average difference of 3.88 %.

Concrete mix designed to determine the composition of the concrete materials. Basically the concrete mix design is intended to produce a composition with a minimum use of materials with a fixed maximum force to consider the standard criteria of the quality of concrete and economical when viewed from the aspect of the overall cost. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of the design (theoretically) a mixture of concrete plans fc '22.5 MPa for 1 m3 using the Department of Environment (DoE) and the methods of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), of both methods is theoretically known to use materials optimal material (economic).Stages in the concrete mix design fc '22.5 MPa were: (1) sieving fine aggregate and coarse aggregate, (2) examination of specific gravity and absorption of fine aggregate and coarse aggregate, (3) examination of the contents of an aggregate weight and (4) examination mud content by using the same material that is aggregated from the Tanjung Belit quary Rokan Hulu regency.

This research if to analize the soil value around the Politeknik Pasir Pengaraian camp. The analize data in this research is slice accross in early 2009 with purpose sample technic, from interview, field study (primer data). Analize method in this research is double regretion linear analize with OLS (Ordinary Least Squares), to estimate how big the influence of wide the field, distance from main road and distance from campus.The result find out that the variable wide filed, distance from the main road and distance from campus, significanly influence the soil value at the real degree ( = 5%). Estimation model to explicit = 61,99%.

To support optimal results in the processing of palm fruits into palm oil (crude palm oil), the conditionsin the boiler must be properly maintained and operated properly, so that the process of production activity isnot impaired. In boiler operations often suffer disturbance, damage in minor life, namely the outbreak ofsuperheater pipes, it is very disturbing production activities.This study aimed to calculate the performance Availabilityoperated boiler in order to reduce thephysical components are not damaged during normal operation and case unplanned maintenance activities.It is very important in order to achieve a more efficient and economical operation of the plant andequipment.
