Abstract

This paper reports students’ learning outcomes by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in class V at SDN 11 Kurao Pagang Padang in thematic learning. The research is CAR (Classroom Action Research) by applying qualitative and quantitative approaches. In order to obtain the expected learning outcomes by implementing the PBL model, four activities are applied, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. In Cycle I, the result indicates a percentage value of 81.25% and increased to 97.5% in Cycle II. In the implementation aspect, the learning outcome in Cycle 1 was 80.35 and increased to 96.42% in Cycle II. In another aspect, learning outcomes indicate an average score of 77.25 in Cycle I and increased to 87 in Cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the model, Problembased Learning model (PBL), can produce an increase in the acquisition of students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The moral education of elementary students still have lack concern because the learning process requires material guidance with well planning and assistance from other aspects, such as learning media, so that it can influence the moral development of students who deviate from state rules and regulations. Therefore, researchers utilize learning media in the form of digital books. The purpose of the research is to form the noble character of elementary students by applying innovative media. The media developed by researchers is called Budikasta (Digital Book of Kak Arin the Storyteller), this digital book discusses the brotherhood thatoccurs between the Muhajirin and the Ansar. The research uses the Design and Development (D&D) method with a research model retrieved by Peffers et al, there are six stages of D&D research, namely 1) identifying the problem, 2) describing the objectives, 3) designing and developing the product, 4) testing the product, 5) evaluating the testing result, and 6) confirming the testing results. The research results imply that the Budikasta learning media (Digital Book of Kak Arin the Storyteller) are suitable to use in PAI learning subjects in elementary schools.

Abstract

Education aims to construct students to become independent human beings physically and spiritually. To make this happen, educators must have pedagogic competence, which is necessary to support them as professional educators. The pedagogic concept is inseparable from a well-known figure in the world of education, namely Ki Hadjar Dewantara, who gave birth to the concepts of Momong, Among, and Ngemong, based on the concept of humanist education that shows the cultural characteristics of the Indonesian nation. The research method used is qualitative with a Case Study approach, which aims to find out the humanist concept of increasing teacher understanding. The research results indicate that to understand and protect the needs of students, it is necessary to understand pedagogical competency standards to become professional educators, and educators need to be involved in self-development, and collaboration in achieving humanist learning that includes students’ understanding, class management skills, and the ability to provide constructive feedback by determining one of which that refers to the educational concept of Ki Hadjar Dewantara.

Abstract

For students, the Merdeka curriculum has the potential to provide relevant learning opportunities in line with PjBL objectives. The research in this paper provides further explanation of how the PjBL model plays a role in IPAS learning subjects and the idea of Merdeka curriculum that emphasizes projects. Case study research is a type of study conducted in this paper. The research uses a qualitative methodology. The steps are observation, interviews, and documentation are used as a data collection approach. During the observation, observations come from observations and initial conditions. Grade IV and V teachers are interviewed and so are grade IV and V students. The information was the data collected from published literature. Data from triangulation and validity tests are used to validate the findings. The research results at Muhamadiyah Mujahidin Elementary School on the use of Project Based Learning on the IPAS learning material content in the independent curriculum reveal that six PjBL syntaxes consist of project determination, design of project completion steps, preparation of project implementation schedule, project completion with facilities and teacher monitoring, preparation of reports and presentations or publication of project results, and evaluation process and project outcomes. The use of PjBL through its syntax at SD Muhamadiyah Mujahidin indicates the regularity of students and teachers in following this PjBL syntax. In order to implement project-based learning methods successfully, it is relevant to the findings of the six phases. Students who actively participate in this co-curricular activity tend to be inspired more by the implementation of the PjBL model, which allows the fulfillment of other appropriate requirements besides cognitive activities.

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of TikTok social media on fifth-grade elementary students’ social attitudes. The method used in the research is qualitative. The data sources are primary and secondary data sources. Primary and secondary data sources involved four teachers, four students, and one school principal who were deemed capable of providing statements and reinforcement for research purposes. Data collection techniques and instruments are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data validity testing uses source and technical triangulation. The triangulation of sources used is related to four teachers, four students, and documents. Technical triangulation is carried out by checking data from the same source with different techniques. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions and verification. The conclusion of the research is that the social attitudes of elementary students are going well, even though there are still some students who are not yet optimal in implementing good social attitudes because one of the influences is the use of TikTok social media. The social attitudes of students that teachers have applied to students, either in the classroom or outside the classroom, are being responsible, self-confident, mutual respect, polite, competitive, and honest. TikTok social media has not been used by elementary school students yet, because the TikTok application has more negative impacts if students cannot take positive values from it.

Abstract

This paper is armed with research problems regarding integrated thematic learning that takes place among the fifth-grade students of SDN 09 Manggis Ganting, which comes from teacher-centered, the lack of student skill in using critical thinking to solve problems, the lack of students’ learning activities, the lack of students’ courage to express their opinions, and the low of students’ learning outcome. The purpose of the research is to show how the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share can encourage the improvement of fifth-grade students’ learning outcomes at SDN 09 Manggis Ganting of Bukittinggi. Classroom Action Research is type of research in this paper by combining qualitative and quantitative research methods. The research involved educators and 24 fifth-grade students. There are two cycles of research. Two meetings were held in cycle I and one meeting was held in cycle II. The research results indicate that there are increasing percentages in the cycle, which are a) RPP in cycle I at 86.10% (B) and in cycle II at 94.44% (SB), b) the implementation process of the educator aspects in cycle I at 80% (B) and in cycle II at 95% (SB), while the implementation of student aspects in cycle I at 80% (B) and in cycle II at 95% (SB), c) students’ evaluation to encourage an increasing learning outcome in cycle I at 78.25 and in cycle II at 90.47. It can be concluded that the TPS model can encourage increased student learning outcomes.
