Abstract

The background of this study is the low result of learning math class I SDN 010 BanjarPanjang Kecamatana Kerumutan. Of the 30 students only 12 students (40.00%), for the studydoing research by applying the learning model guided by the goal of improving learningoutcomes in mathematics. This research is a class act who performed two cycles. The dataused in this study focused on improving learning outcomes and increase student masterylearning. The study states that the application of guided learning model can improve students'mathematics learning outcomes, as evidenced by: the preliminary data the number of studentswho pass are 12 students (40.00%) increased in the first cycle by the number of students whocompleted is 20 students (66 , 67%) and increased in the second cycle by the number ofstudents who completed is 27 students (90.00%).

Abstract

The result of fifth grade students’ learning sport from SDN 09 Rumbai Pekanbaru was still low because the method used did not suitable with learning materials. Because of that problem, researcher used direct instructional model in learning table tennis games that could improve the result of fifth grade students’ learning table tennis from SDN 09 Rumbai Pekanbaru. After applying direct instructional model, it could been seen from the teacher’s activity that increased in the first cycle from the first meeting (70%) to the second meeting (75%), and in the second cycle also increased from 85% in the third meeting to 95% in the fourth meeting The students’ activity also increased in the first cycle from 60% in the first meeting to 75% in the second meeting, and in the second cycle also increased from 90% in the third meeting to 95% in the fourth meeting. In the last exam in first cycle average of the students’ learning result increased 2.06 point from based score 69.87 to 72.93. In the last exam in second cycle increased 6.94 point from first cycle to 79.87. From the data analysis, the teacher’s activities, the students’ activities, and the result of students’ learning increased. So, it could be concluded that applying direct instructional model increased the result of fifth grade students’ learning sport from SDN 09 Rumbai Pekanbaru.Key words: direct instructional model, table tennis games

Abstract

The low yield of fourth grade students learn science SD Negeri 004 Tembilahan this is the background of this research, this is evidenced by the acquisition of the average student learning outcomes that is equal to 63.31. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of the method of administration tasks. This research is a classroom action research subjects fourth graders SD Negeri 004 Tembilahan by the number of 32 students, the study was conducted as much as two cycles consisting of two meetings. The data used in this study focuses on improving learning outcomes and student learning completeness. Based on the results obtained under the data science learning outcomes increased in each cycle, the pre-cycle (basic score) average learning results obtained by the students was 63.31 by the number of students who completed by 16 (50.00%), in cycle I rise to 70.31 by the number of students who pass the number 25 (78.12%), and the second cycle increased to 73.59 by the number of students who completed totaling 32 students. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the method of administration tasks can improve student learning outcomes IPA IV SD Negeri 004 Tembilahan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a large number of students who have difficulty in solving mathematical problems of with fractions. This research aims to find out and describe the difficulties experienced by a student in solving mathematical problem infraction. This type of research is qualitative research. This Study found that the difficulties experienced by students in solving fractions are difficulty in understanding the concept of fractional counting operations, difficulty because it does not master multiplication as preparatory material, and difficulty in solving problem-solving problems in fractions. Internal factors that cause students to have difficulty in solving math problems in the fraction are low student motivation, students don’t like math and low ability of students in mathematics. External factors that cause students to experience difficulties in fraction learning are unfavorable class conditions and poor classroom management.

Abstract

Students need speaking skill when they are in front of the class to express their opinions. However, many students are still not confident to speak. This research objective was to see whether the students who were taught by PjBL model had better speaking skill than the students who were taught by cooperative learning model. This research was quasi-quantitative experimental research with Posttest-Only Control design. The population of this research were the fifth-grade students at SDN Gayungan II Surabaya. The samples were chosen by using cluster random sampling technique and class V-A was selected as the experiment class and class V-B was chosen as the control class. The data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation. The data derived from the tests were analyzed by using inferential statistics with SPSS software. Then, the data from students’ activities and the learning implementation were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the students who were taught by PJBL  model significantly had better speaking skill than the students who were taught by cooperative learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in social studies on the subject matterof buying and selling activities of home and school environment, with the application oflearning to play a role (role playing) in the third grade students of SD Negeri 013 LubukKembang Sari Kecamatan Ukui. Low grade III student learning outcomes SD Negeri 013Lubuk Kembang Sari Kecamatan Ukui in teaching social studies teacher is caused by notapplying the appropriate learning model in presenting the material. so that students aredifficult to understand the material presented teacher. The subjects were students of class IIIwith a whole number of students is 18 people consisting of 12 men and 6 women. Parametersmeasured were the activities of teachers, student activities and student learning outcomes.The data were analyzed descriptively. Results of data analysis obtained by percentage ofactivity the teachers at the first meeting of the first cycle of 75% with good category, thesecond meeting of the first cycle of 77.8% with good category and at the first meeting of thesecond cycle percentage teacher activity 86.1% with a very good category, the secondmeeting of the cycle II percentage teacher activity which was 88.9% with very good category.At the first meeting of the percentage of student activity activity 61.1% with good category,the second meeting of the first cycle is 77.8% with a good category and at the first meeting ofthe second cycle the percentage of student activity 80.6% with very good categories, namelythe second meeting of the second cycle 86.1% with very good category. And the classicalcompleteness students on basic score is 39.5% (not finished), the first daily test classicalcompleteness of students was 81.6% (complete), and in the daily test II classical completenessof students is 92.1% (complete). Based on this study concluded that the application oflearning models play a role (Role Playing) can improve student learning outcomes IPS.

Abstract

The problem on this research was that the low score of students’ learning on social science study. There werestill a lot of students that did not understand basic concepts and tended to memorize examples. It was showed by58,07% from 31 students achieving minimum criteria completeness (KKM) from students’ test score in IVCclass of SDN 108 Pekanbaru for Koperasi subject. The students’ average score was 62,4, and the KKM stated byschool was 68. Based on this problem it was needed to do an action research using cooperative learning modelsTeams Games Tournaments (TGT) type. This research aims to know whether the implementation of cooperativelearning models Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) type can improve students’ social science learningoutcomes at IVC class of SDN 108 Pekanbaru in 2013/2014 with 31students. This research was done in twocycles. First cycle consists of three meetings with one daily test and first tournament, and cycle II consists ofthree meetings with one daily test and second tournament. Instruments to collect data in this research areteacher’s observation sheets, students’ observation sheet, and tests. By implementing using cooperative learningmodels Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) type can improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes.Percentage of completeness in basic score was 54,8% (62,40 in average), and it changed into 77,4% (75,6 inaverage) in cycle I and 87,1% (81,1 in average) in cycle II. Percentage of teacher’ activity in cycle I was 81,9%and 92,3% in cycle II. Then percentage of students’ activity in cycle I was 75,4% and 92,2% in cycle II. Fromthose data it proves that the implementation of cooperative learning models Teams Games Tournaments (TGT)type can improve students’ learning outcomes at IVC class of SDN 108 Pekanbaru.Key Words : cooperative teaching and learning model, Teams Games Tournaments (TGT),learning outcomes

Abstract

The background of this study is the lack of mathematics learning outcomes Class VI SDN 012 Pekan Arba, this is evidenced by the acquisition of the average value obtained at 65, other than that of the 20 students were only 8 students (40.00%), which reached KKM. Based on this the researchers conducted a study to implement cooperative learning model think pair squer (TPS). This study is a class action, which was carried out as much as two cycles consisting of two meetings. Based on the research data showed that students' mathematics learning outcomes in each cycle has increased, on the basis of the number of students who score reached KKM is 10 students (50.00%), the first UH KKM number of students who achieve an increase in the number of students is 75, 00%, and at UH II, the number of students who reached KKM increased by 85.00%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model think pair squer (TPS) can improve learning outcomes sixth grade mathematics students SDN 012 Pekan Arba.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low listening skills of third-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 6 Pekanbaru. This researchis a classroom action research, which is carried out by applying storytelling strategies. The results of the study stated that thelistening skills of students had increased in cycle 1 meeting 1 number of students who scored between 80-100 totaling 12students, on the internal score 60-79 totaled 3 students, at an interval of 40-59 amounted to 4 students, at intervals of 20 -39numbered 2 students and in the interval 0-29 there were 0 students. Whereas in cycle 1 meeting 2, the number of students whoobtained grades between 80-100 totaled 13 students, in the internal score 60-79 totaled 10 students, at intervals of 40-59amounted to 0 students, at intervals of 20-39 amounted to 0 students and at interval 0-29 contains 0 students. In cycle 2 meeting1 listening skills increased the number of students who got grades between 80-100 totaling 15 students, in the internal score 60-79 totaled 8 students, at intervals of 40-59 amounted to 0 students, at intervals of 20-39 amounted to 0 students and in theinterval 0-29 there are 0 students. Whereas in the second cycle of meeting 2 the number of students who got a score between 80-100 totaled 19 students, in the internal score 60-79 totaled 4 students, at intervals of 40-59 amounted to 0 students, at intervalsof 20-39 amounted to 0 students and at intervals 0-29 consists of 0 students. Based on these values, it can be concluded that thestorytelling strategy can improve the listening skills of third-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 6 Pekanbaru

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of principals’ leadership style on the teacher's performance at public elementary schools in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima. The research utilized a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 128 elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima. From the population, 50 teachers were taken as the samples by using probability sampling techniques. The data were collected through a questionnaire. The assumption test was the normality and linearity test while the hypotheses were examined by using simple regression analysis. The results of this study concluded that the Leadership Style Dominantly Performed by Principals at Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima was Democratic Leadership Style with a score of 67.43%, in a strong correlation and Transactional Leadership Style was in a low correlation with a score of 32.57%.  Meanwhile, the teachers’ performance at public elementary schools in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima was in a strong correlation with a score of 60.54%. Furthermore, the Principals’ Leadership Style Affected the Teachers’ Performance at Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Soromandi, Kabupaten Bima which was shown by a value of 63.90% with a significance of 0.00 <0.05. The score of the influence of principals’ leadership style on teachers’ performance was 63.90% and was strongly correlated.
