Abstract

The background of this study is the low learning outcomes IPS. It is characterized by the acquisition of the average value of social studies students at 59.10 with the percentage of students learning completeness amounted to 50.00% from 20 students. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of strategies IPS Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). This study was conducted in 010 primary schools Silikuan Ukui Hulu subdistrict, with research subjects fifth grade students with a number of 20 students. This study was conducted by two cycles. The data used in this study are the activities of teachers, student activities, and learning outcomes are collected using the observation technique teacher and student activities and written tests, while the analytical techniques used in this research is descriptive analysis. The study states that the acquisition of the activities of teachers and students and learning outcomes in each cycle has increased. This is supported by: (1) the percentage of activity the teachers in the first cycle of the first meeting by 45%, in the first cycle of meetings II percentage teacher activity by 52%, the percentage of teacher activity in the second cycle of the first meeting by 65%, the percentage of teacher activity in the second cycle meeting II by 75%; (2) the percentage of student activity in the first cycle of the first meeting by 49%, in the first cycle of meetings II percentage of student activity by 60%, the percentage of the activity of students in the second cycle the first meeting by 63%, the percentage of student activity on the second cycle of meeting II by 79% ; (3) learning outcomes in basic score of 59,10.Dan which reached KKM 65 only 10 students or (50%). The first cycle of the average value obtained by the students reached 63.6. Students who achieve KKM there are 13 students or 65 (65%). Cycle II average value obtained students achieve value above 67 means the KKM. Students who reached the last 16 students or (80%).

Abstract

This study aims to improve speaking skills of children ages 5-6 through story reading method through learning model picture in TK Mustika Bunda Pekanbaru. The method used was classroom action research. A class act that researchers do is use the method of reading the story through picture picture learning model to improve speaking skills of children aged 5-6 years in TK Mustika Bunda Pekanbaru, and observed by the observer. The sample taken is a TK Mustika Bunda Pekanbaru with the number of children of 20 people, consisting of 13 men and 7 women. Data collection techniques in this research is through observation of teachers and children and talk capability data of children aged 5-6 years with the use of methods of story reading through learning model picture picture. The results obtained by using the method of story reading can improve speaking skills of children aged 5-6 years in TK Mustika Bunda Pekanbaru. The percentage increase in the ability to speak the child at the age of 5-6 years using the Story Reading by drawing the series in TK Mustika Bunda Pekanbaru from the first cycle to the second cycle was 20.5%. The implication of this study is the use of methods of story reading through picture picture learning model used properly, can improve speaking skills of children aged 5-6 years in TK Mustika Bunda Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student learning outcomes civics class III SD Negeri13 Kerinci Kanan Siak. This study aims to determine the learning outcome civics throughmethods index card macth class III student at SD Negeri 13 Kerinci Kanan Siak, which wasconducted over 1 month. Subjects in this study were students of class III 2015-2016 schoolyear the number of students as many as 6 people, consisting of 5 students male and 1 femalestudents. Form of research is classroom action research. The research instrument consists ofinstruments and instrument performance data collection activity observation sheet formteacher and student activity. Based on the results of research and discussion, the applicationof active learning strategies match the type of index cards can increase learning motivationthird grade students of SD Negeri 13 Kerinci Kanan Siak. Teacher activity in cycle I got aperfect score of 36 in the category, while in the second cycle got a score of 44 in the categoryof very perfect. Student motivation cycle I got an average rating of 52.8 with a high categorywhile in the second cycle gets the average value 80.6 by category high. At cycle I study thisclass action has not been successful, while the second cycle of studies have been successfulwith the indicator success of 75.0% exceeded the performance indicators that have been set.application of active learning strategies match the type of index cards can increasemotivation to learn the subjects civics third grade students of SD Negeri 13 Kerinci KananSiak acceptable

Abstract

One of the studies that revealed the lack of students' reading ability, in this case the third grade students of SD/MI, is a Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) study, which is an international study onchildren's world-wide reading sponsorship sponsored by The International Association for the EvaluationAchievement. The study results show that the average Indonesian child is ranked fourth from bottom of 45countries in the world. This makes the researchers trying to explain how the level of understanding of literacy inelementary school students and has the potential to improve the ability to read writing writing, especially in SDLabschool Kecamatan Gajahmungkur. The researcher uses a literary workshop strategy model to improvestudents' reading ability to write SD Labschool Kecamatan Gajahmungkur. The method used in this research isquasi-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. This research technique using 1) Test and 2)nontes (questionnaire, observation, and strategy of literary workshop). This research was conducted in Grade 3of SD Labschool Kecamatan Gajahmungkur. The results of this study are the initial reading ability to write thebeginning of 40% to 93.33% and unfinished from 60% to 6.67%, which means reading the beginning writingwith RW for elementary students is effective to improve understanding of reading ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know about implementation of influence PBL and DL model to Mathematic Problem Solving for 5th grade student at elementary school. The type of this research was Quasy Experiment. The result of prerequisite test by using SPSS 25 for windows showed that the data was distributed in normal and homogeny. The independent sample test result showed the significant 0.000 < 0.05 that meant Hₒ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Based on the result obtained, there are significance difference in the implementation between PBL and DL models toward Mathematic Problem Solving ability in 5th grader elementary school students, and there was a significant difference of improvement toward Mathematic problem solving ability in 5th grade elementary school students which can be seen from the comparison of diagram that using PBL had more influence with pretest result 69% and posttest 80%, while using DL model result pretest 66% and posttest 73%.

Abstract

This research intend to know PGSD college student ability in first semester to solve sains I college base concepts respiratory system subject by applying demonstration method. Observational type that have been used in observational descriptive which is a research that to know college student ability in solve sains I college base concepts respiratory system subjects by applying demonstration method, the subject of this research is student college in education learns elementary school major (PGSD) first semester that have been contracted to Sains Base Concept college with total 55 college students. The tech that have been use in this research is essay. Essays can be use to know college student ability in solve sains I college base concepts respiratory system subjects by applying demonstration method to forms essays that total 10 problems with 100 maximum score. The data that have been acquired analyzed by use of statistic descriptive. Have been know from analizyed ability college student can do sains I ability problem base concept colleges respiratory system discussion subjects by applying demonstration method, have gotten by mean's data (M ) = 75 by standard deviation (SD) = 5,9, there are college student ability solve sains I college problems base concepts respiratory system subjects by applying demonstration method, there are college student has ability too solve problems with varying level which is pretty good 6 person (11%), well 18 person (33%), passably 23 person (42%), adverse 6 person (11%) and so adverse 2 person (4%) .Keywords: demonstration method, respiratory system

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low results of social studies students of class I SD Negeri001 Ukui Satu. Of the 20 students only 10 students who completed study results. This studyaims to improve learning outcomes IPS through direct learning model application. Thisresearch is a class act, carried out by two cycles. Data of this research focuses on improvingstudent learning outcomes IPS. IPS expressed increasing learning outcomes based on initialscore of student learning outcomes by 65 to 50% the percentage of completeness, the firstcycle increased with the acquisition of learning outcomes at 69.25 with the percentage ofcompleteness 70%. And the second cycle learning outcomes increased with the acquisition of74.5 to 85% the percentage of completeness. Based on this it can be concluded that theapplication of direct learning model can improve student learning outcomes IPS 001 firstgrade of SD Negeri 001 Ukui Satu.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low interest in learning civics class V students SD Negeri 008 Bukit Kayu Kapur. It is caused by: (a) very few number of students active during the learning process by using group work; (b) the need for students to ask questions or submit proposals to the lack of teachers is organized so that the impression received by the students are less significant; (c) although the number of students is ideal, but the enthusiasm of students in learning is still less visible, especially at the time of the question and answer; (D) of the 23 students were only 11 or 47.8% of students are serious in taking into account the subject matter of civic education takes place, whereas other students do not pay attention to lessons with enthusiasm; and (e) although the teacher has done a variety of ways, but have not been able to increase students' interest in learning, meaning ways done to date has not brought significant progress to increase their interest in learning. For that conducted the research with the aim to increase students' interest in learning civics through the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD. This classroom action research conducted in SDN 08 Bukit Kayu Kapur, the research was conducted pad from January to June 2009. The subjects were fifth grade students of SD Negeri 008 Bukit Kayu Kapur amounting to 23 students. Parameters measured research is student interest, teacher and student activity. Results showed that student interest has increased in the first cycle average student interest obtained a score of 86 (62.60%), the second cycle increased by an average score of 108 (78.30%). Additionally teacher activity also increased, in the first cycle average teacher activity score was 30 (67.00%), increased in the second cycle with an average score of activity of teachers and 38 (84.00%). Student activity also increased in the first cycle an average score of student activity is, increased in the second cycle with an average score of 164 (79.10%). It can be concluded from the results of class V students studying civics A SDN 08 Bukit Kayu Kapur can be increased through the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading ability of 2nd grade students at SDN 067 Pekanbaru. The low reading ability of students is caused by the teacher not using learning media in learning so that the learning process becomes monotonous and students' abilities are different. One of the media that can be used to improve reading skills is the flashcard media. Media flashcard is a method of reading by using a card that contains pictures that are equipped with words. This study aims to improve the reading skills of 2nd grade students at SDN 067 Pekanbaru the use of flashcard. The research conducted was classroom action research with research subjects namely students in class 2 SDN 067 Pekanbaru totaling 24 people. The results of research on teacher activity increased at the first meeting of the  cycle I with a presentation of 70.83%, at the second meeting increased to 75%. Then in the cycle II increased again at the first meeting 83.33%, and the second meeting increased to 87.5%. Meanwhile student activity also increased, namely at the first meeting of the  cycle I having a percentage of 70.83% at the second meeting to 79.17%. Then at the first meeting the  cycle I increased to 87.5%, at the second meeting increased again to 91.67%. The results of increasing the reading ability of 2nd grade students at SDN 067 Pekanbaru, from the base score of 63.75, increased in the cycle I to 73.88 with a percentage of 15.89%, then in the cycle I again increased to 83.96 with a percentage of 31.70%

Abstract

The purpose of this research and development wasto reveal the quality of the learning media (PALU ANDHA AJA) developed in this study andto know the increase on students’ interest and learning achievement. This research was targeted on Javanese language subject through the implementation of snake and ladder learning media (PALU ANDHA AJA) for grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Banjararjo Ayah Kebumen. The method of this study was Research and Development including: (1) analyzing the potential and problems, (2) collecting data, (3) designing the product, (4)validating the design, (5) revising the design, (6) testing the  product, (7) revising the product, (8) conducting field test, and (9) revising the product. The results of pretest and posttest indicated that there was an increase in the learning of Javanese language through the implementation of PALU ANDHA AJA. Moreover,the result of paired sample t test showeda significance value 0,000 (0,000 <0,05); thus, it could be concluded that there was a significant difference on the students’ learning interest and achievement before and after learning by using PALU ANDHA AJA.
