Abstract

Educational problems that exist in the classroom in general, namely the learning process is still dominated by teacher-centered learning and theoretical resulting in low retention and student learning outcomes. One way to improve student retention and learning outcomes requires a revolutionary paradigm by a teacher in the learning process. The BBL (Brain-Based Learning) based SFE (Student Facilitator and Explaining) learning model can improve student achievment and retention. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of BBL (Brain-Based Learning) SFE (Student Facilitator and Explaining) learning models on student achievment and retention. This type of research was a quasi experimental. Based on the results of the analysis does not significantly influence the student cognitive (p = 0.134), influencing the student psychomotor (p = 0.006), significantly influence the student affective (p = 0,000), and significantly influence the student retention (p = 0,000).

Abstract

Cooperative learning is a learning model that involves students to be able to actively participate in the learning process through the formation of small groups. One type of cooperative learning model is the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. This study aimed to determine the effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model on physics learning outcomes of grade X students at SMK 5 Jember. This research is included in experimental research. The research design used was a post test only design. Data analysis technique used independent sample t-test (parametric test) and one way anova. The results showed that the significant value of the independent sample t-test was 0,000 (α<0,05) which means that the average physics scores of the experimental class students were greater than control class students. Thus, the STAD type cooperative learning model has a significant effect on learning outcomes in physics at SMK 5 Jember. Kata Kunci: cooperative learning; learning outcomes; STAD

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil PISA, rata-rata skor literasi matematika siswa Indonesia masih rendah yaitu 386 dari 500 skor rata-rata keseluruhan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan literasi matematika siswa field dependent (FD) dan siswa field independent (FI) dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA konten Change And Relationship ditinjau dari ketercapaian level literasi matematikanya. Soal PISA konten Change and Relationship berkaitan dengan materi kurikulum yaitu fungsi dan aljabar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Jember dengan 29 siswa yang terdiri dari 6 siswa field dependent (FD) dan 23 siswa field independent (FI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level literasi matematika siswa field dependent berada pada level 2 (66,67% atau sebanyak 4 siswa) dan level 5 (33,33% atau sebanyak 2 siswa) serta level literasi matematika siswa field independent berada pada level 2 (13% atau sebanyak 3 siswa), level 5 (69,56% atau sebanyak 16 siswa) dan level 6 (17,4% atau sebanyak 4 siswa).

Abstract

Bahan alloy NiFe merupakan salah satu bahan feromagnetik yang memilki tekstur kuat dengan nilai anisotropi magnetik dan medan koersivitas besar. Kurva histerisis bahan NiFe ini menghasilkan medan koersivitas yang besar dalam golongan hard magnet. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh dari microwave assisted pada kurva histerisis bahan NiFe dalam bentuk ellipsoid. Pengaruh microwave assisted membantu untuk mengecilkan medan koersivitas sehingga mengalami pembalikan magnetisasi semakin cepat untuk kembali pada posisi awal. Hasil simulasi pada ukuran 50 nm struktur multi domain dengan memberikan frekuensi 20 GHz dan amplitudo 100 mT diperoleh medan koersivitas sebesar 80 mT sedangkan pada frekuensi 200 GHz dan amplitudo 1000 mT diperoleh medan koersivitas sebesar 55 mT. Pengaruh dari microwave assisted yang dipengaruhi terjadi perubahan medan koersivitas yang semakin kecil.

Abstract

Profil pemecahan masalah merupakan gambaran secara umum mengenai kegiatan memecahkan masalah matematika yang dilakukan oleh siswa dengan menggunakan lima tahapan pemecahan masalah model IDEAL, yaitu mengidentifikasi masalah, mendefinisikan masalah, mencari solusi, melaksanakan strategi, dan mengkaji kembali serta mengevaluasi pengaruhnya. Hal tersebut menjadi menarik ketika dikaitkan dengan kemampuan matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi dalam memecahkan soal cerita pokok bahasan Aritmatika Sosial. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi diberi dua soal tes pemecahan masalah, kemudian dilakukan wawancara untuk mengetahui lebih dalam proses dalam memecahkannya. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi mampu memenuhi semua indikator dari setiap tahap pemecahan model IDEAL. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil pekerjaan yang diberikan dan wawancara yang dilakukan oleh peneliti terhadap siswa tersebut.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is based on the following problems: (a) How to increase student achievement by implementing the cooperative learning method of the Discovery Learning model in class XI MIPA 3 students of SMA Negeri Pakusari, Jember Regency, 2019/2020 Academic Year ". (b) How does the cooperative learning method of the Discovery Learning model affect the learning motivation of class XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri Pakusari, Jember Regency for the 2019/2020 academic year.. This study used two rounds of action research. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: design, activity and observation, reflection, and revision. The target of this research is 32 students of class XI MIPA 3 Pakusari State Senior High School. The data obtained were in the form of final test results, observation sheets for teaching and learning activities. From the analysis, it was found that the student's learning achievement had increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely, cycle I was 62.50% and cycle II was 94%. Abstract

Peripheral arterial disease is a disease that occurs due to narrowing of peripheral arteries caused by plaque buildup. If left too long, this disease can cause pain in the limbs and even have to be amputated. One way to treat PAP is by performing stenting or better known as angioplasty. Angioplasty is performed with the aim of opening the narrowed blood vessels so that blood flow can be normal again. Mathematical modeling is a science that can be used to simulate problems in the real world into mathematical models. Mathematical modeling can form a model that describes the state of blood flow in the peripheral arteries in accordance with the conditions and important factors in it. In this study a mathematical model of blood flow was built in the peripheral arteries to determine the effectiveness of stent placement obtained from the momentum equation and solved using the finite element method.

Abstract

Abstract: In teaching and learning activities, students who are active in the learning process will gain learning experiences that will affect student learning outcomes. When the teacher only uses the lecture method in delivering material, students will tend to listen and not be actively involved in teaching and learning activities. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles with different materials, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The population in this study were all students of class VIII B of SMPN 7 Jember in the 2019/2020 lesson, totaling 32 students. Learning outcome data is in the form of psychomoric learning outcomes in the form of mental activities and student affective learning outcomes obtained from observation sheets during the teaching process, and cognitive learning outcome data is obtained from evaluation tests. The results showed that from the two cycles taken, data was obtained that the completeness of the students' classical mental learning outcomes was 73.50% in the first cycle and 89.00% in the second cycle, respectively. Classical mastery of cognitive learning outcomes 72.10% in cycle I and 88.90% in cycle II. While the classical completeness of affective learning outcomes was 78.40% in the first cycle and 90.30% in the second cycle. Keywords: Cooperative Model; Numbered Heads Together; Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a qualitative descriptive study aimed to describe the upgrading student learning outcomes on the subject of phytagoras class VIII E SMPN 1 Jember. The learning is done by applying blended learning with google classroom aplication. This study is a Classroom Action Research, which consists of 2 cycles and 4 learnings. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Student learning outcomes obtained based on the value of the test conducted at the end of each cycle. Based on tests carried out, of the 32 students of class VIII E, there are 19 students who otherwise has been thoroughly studied in cycle 1 with a percentage of 59,75% . Better results are obtained in cycle 2 with completeness percentage of 87,5%. Thus, it can be conclude that done by applying blended learning with google classroom aplication can improve student learning outcomes keyword: blended learning, google classroom, action research, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low participation of students or students' learning activities in the process of learning science class 9A in SMP Pakusari. Proses learning usually undertaken using direct instructional model that is delivering the materials to students as a whole and interspersed with exercises, learning like this causing students to tend to only acquire cognitive knowledge, not yet meaningful learning. This study is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) that uses the model and design of the Kemiss and Mc Taggart spirals. This study was conducted in 2 cycles implemented in the period from September to October 2019. Each cycle consisted of 4 stages, from the planning phase (planning), implementation, observation (observing) and reflection (reflecting). The data collection instruments in this study are student learning activity sheets, field notes and documentation in the form of photographs during the learning process. The results show an increase in student learning activities by using the two stay two stray model, namely speaking activities, writing activities and motor activities increased from cycle I with an average of 81.67 and cycle II with 85.00 final conclusion of this study that the application of learning model cooperative type two stay two stray can increase student learning activities.
