Abstract

Proofing of the theorem requires logical thinking process and informatics analyses on the data used to deriving a conclusion. In these cases, each individual has different Level of Actual Development (LAD), Level of Potential Development (LPD) and Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). Vygotsky said “all higher psychological processes are originally social processes, share between people, particularly between children and adult“. The aim of this research is to describe theorem proof construction using think pair share activity. The result show, on the think step, the level of potential development in student can proof theorems at 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 14, 15, 16, and 17. Think code B1, B2, B5, B6, B7, B8, and B10 in second theorem. Think code C2, C3, C4, C5, and C6 in third theorem. Think code H3 in eighth theorem. Think code K6 (as conclusion) in tenth theorem. Think code K2, K4, K5, and K6 in 11th theorem. Think code M7 in 12th theorem, the conclusion at 13th theorem. Think code T8, T9, and T10 in 18th theorem achieved yet. In pair step LPD and ZPD with scaffolding can help student to achieve think code theorem. Keywords: construction, theorem, think pair share

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi pemahaman membaca siswa di kelas. Pemahaman Membaca melalui penerapan Reciprocal Teaching StrategyMenciptakan kegiatan pengajaran Reciprocal Teaching di Reading Comprehension tentu benar-benar membantu dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih mendalam dan bermakna. Para siswa sangat antusias untuk memahami teks karena mereka bekerja dalam kelompok-kelompok dalam membuat kerjasama dalam meringkas dan mendiskusikan isi teks. Setiap anggota kelompok memiliki kesempatan yang sama untuk membaca, diringkas, dibahas, dan mengajukan pertanyaan. Mereka menjadi lebih aktif dan menunjukkan lebih tertarik pada pelajaran. Terjadi suasana kenesenangan dan antusiasme di kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas dinamis dan hidup, sehingga motivasi belajar siswa meningkat. Selain itu, prestasi siswa juga meningkat secara signifikan.  Kata kunci : Reciprocal Teaching, CAR, Membaca Pemahaman

Abstract

PKn memiliki arti penting dalam rangka pembinaandan pembentukkan  manusia Indonesia yang berjiwa Pancasila, khususnya bagi generasi muda penerus bangsa dari pendidikan dasar sampai pendidikan dijenjang tinggi.mereka mengemban tugas membina dan melestarikan nilai dan moral Pancasila dengan demikian melaui PKn diharapkan siswa menjadi manusia terdidik dan warganegara yang baik serta berperilaku sesuai dengan norma Pancasila. Agar  PKn berhasil mengembangkan moral dan karakter siswa/bangsa, yaitu: (a) Mengentegrasikan nilai moral dan budi pekerti dalam menyususn silabus   PKn, (b) Menggunakan model-model pembelajaran yang memang khusus untuk membina dan mengembangkan moral/karakter bangsa, dan (3) Diperlukan guru yang khusus/spesialis ahli dalam pembelajaran moral dan karakter bangsa.Ada 4 model pembelajaran moral untuk mengembangkan karakter yang secara impirik telah teruji kehandalannya (Simon. 2005), model tersebut adalah: (1) Human Modeling, (2) Dilema Mora, (3) VCT, (4) Moral Care Kata Kunci: Metode Pembelajaran,Nilai Etika dan Moral

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan penguasaan memahami teks bacaan pada mahasiswa jurusan bahasa Inggris semester empat dengan menggunakan content familiarity. Dengan penerapan content familiarity dalam matakuliah membaca mempunyai kelebihan-kelebihan antara lain bisa menambah variasi pembelajaran, secara tidak langsung menguji pembelajaran siswa, mempertinggi atau meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa karena siswa merasa tidak tertekan, memotivasi siswa untuk belajar namun dengan suasana yang rileks, dan menawarkan waktu istirahat sejenak dari suasana pembelajaran yang kaku namun tetap dalam materi, serta memberi kemudahan pada mahasiswa untuk memahami isi bacaan. Kata Kunci : content familiarity, teks bacaan

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve students’ motivation and achievement in Reading Comprehension class through C&C Learning. Combining cooperative and competitive activities in Reading Comprehension course was really helpful in creating more joyful learning. The students were enthusiastic to comprehend the texts because they were going to use them in a competition among their groups. They became more active and showed more interest in the course. There had been an atmosphere of enjoyment and enthusiasm in the class since they experienced the combination of cooperative and competitive activities for the Reading Comprehension course. The result showed that the class was dynamic and alive, thus students’ motivation was increased. Furthermore, students’ achievement wasalso significantly improved.  Kata Kunci: C&C Learning, CAR,  Reading Comprehension

Abstract

The Cooperative Principle (CP) proposed by Grice states that a speaker should be cooperative by making the conversational contribution as required. In CP Grice proposes four conversational maxims : Quantity, Quality, Relation, and  Manner. Speakers sometimes flout the conversational maxims, so do characters in The Secret Agent. The flouting and hedging the conversational maxims can be done through figures of speech.  Key words: the Gricean Cooperative Principle, flouting and hedging, figures of speech, conversations, The Secret Agent.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to give detailed description about the model implementation of Bloom’s Taxonomy Cognitive Domain Learning Stages in the improvement of English students’ skill in creating the lesson plan based on the 2013 curriculum in Micro Teaching class. The implementation of Bloom’s Taxonomy Cognitive Domain Learning Stagesmodel is an effective and efficient strategy in training the students to develop the lesson plan. The strategy implementation also supports more cooperative learning situation since the students work together to analayze and evaluate the lesson plan and syllabus. This, it helps the students to understand the important steps in developing the lesson plan and opens the opportunity to discuss with others. This method combines the students’  individual skill improvement and cooperative skill in developing the lesson plan sistematically, well-coordinated and by clear steps. The result showed that the implementation of Bloom’s Taxonomy Cognitive Domain Learning Stages in improving the students’ skill in developing the lesson plan has achieved the criteria of success. Abstract

the government of the Republic of Indonesia is now launching a form of education which is based on character known as “character education”.  In the context of character education in schools, it is expected that all the courses taught in all levels and in all kinds of education are directly to the building of good character. To relate with teaching English, writing is one of the subject that has promising potential to help the students to build their character. On the other hand, technology especially internet has been familiar with the students. Via internet we can exchange our idea online, even with people half a world away from us. Google docs is one of the alternative tool that can be used in teaching writing. Google docs is a free online program that allows users to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations online and share them with others for collaboration. By using Google docs the teacher can improve the students writing skill and also build their character. Keywords : character building, writing, google docs

Abstract

masa depan Indonesia sangat memerlukan kemampuan kompetitif dan kreatif di kalangan pelajar untuk bersaing secara sehat dalam penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Salah satu program kegiatan yang mendukung upaya mengarahkan kemampuan kompetitif dan kreativitas siswa pada penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi adalah  pembinaan dan pendampingan tentang Olimpiade Sains Nasional khususnya bidang Kimia terhadap siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas calon peserta Olimpiade Sains Nasional bidang Kimia  di SMAN 3 Malang. Tujuan pembinaan dan pendampingan adalah meningkatkan motivasi belajar mandiri di kalangan siswa SMA khususnya calon peserta Olimpiade Sains Nasional bidang Kimia. Pelaksanaan pembinaan dan pendampingan dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan, tahap pertama merupakan tahap persiapan, tahap kedua merupakan tahapan pembinaan dan pendampingan dalam bentuk pelatihan pemahaman dan penyelesaian soal-soal OSN Kimia dan tahap yang terakhir adalah tahap evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan dapat diidentifikasi mengenai tingkat pemahaman setiap peserta pembinaan adalah memahami dan mampu menyelesaikan minimal 80% soal-soal OSN Kimia dengan benar. Dari hasil seleksi OSN Kimia ternyata 1 orang dari SMAN 3 Malang lolos hingga tingkat Nasional. Kata Kunci: Motivasi, Pembinaan dan Pendampingan, OSN
