Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the students during the learning activity and the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students are still low . The study aims to determine the understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray with LKS better than an understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning class VIII SMP 21  Batanghari Jambi and see the activities of the students during the learning of mathematics with application of cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray with LKS to the understanding of the concept matematis. This research is experimental , with random design on the subject . The instrument used was an essay test and observation sheets . Hypothesis testing using the U Mann-Whitney test with the MINITAB program obtained p-value = 0.000 is less than α, then reject H0. It can be concluded that the understanding of mathematical concepts with cooperative learning model Two Stay Two tray with LKS better than an understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning students with a confidence level of 95%.

Abstract

 ABSTRACTThis research was carried out due to the student’s low learning achievement in mathematics in class VIII of SMPN 3 Bonjol. This research was aimed at revealing whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the student’s taught by using TTW cooperative learning was better than that of student’s taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. Based on the result of data analysis it was found that the two sample classes were normally distributed and homogenous. Furthermore, the result of t-test indicated that the value of tcalculated (7,23) was higher than ttable (1,67) in which α was 0,05. This result showed that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using TTW cooperative learning was better than that of student’s taught by using conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 3 Bonjol registered in academic year 2013/2014.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was background by the students respond to questions given teachers and less motivated to ask the teacher. The research hypothesis is that students understanding of mathematical concepts apply Active Learning Strategies Giving Type Questions and Getting Answers Accompanied Handout better understanding of the mathematical concepts that students applying conventional learning. This research is to design experimental with Random subject. Instrument used is in the form of an essay test to test the reliability of  R11 = 0.92. Based on the analysis of data known to both classes of normally distributed samples, homogeneous and tcount = 1.71 is greater than ttable = 1.67 then the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts that use Type Active Learning Strategies Giving and Getting Answers Questions Accompanied Handout than better understanding of the mathematical concepts students to apply classroom learning conventional in the class VIII SMP N 5 Sawahlunto.

Abstract

ABSTARCT This research was conducted based on the phenomena indicating that the students had less skill in solving the mathematics problem and were unable to develo their own ideas. This research was aimed at revealing whether the mathematics consetual understanding of the students taught by using Trading Places active strategy was better than that of sudents taught by using convetional learning. This was an exerimental research which used random toward the subject design. The populatioan of the research was the students in clas VIII of SMPN 3 Kota Solok registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instruments of the reseach were a posttest and observation sheet for the students’ activities. Th data collected was analyzed by using t-test. Based on the results of the final test data analysis can be found thitung= 2,24 and ttabel=1,679, so that hypothesis is approved. Based on the result of data analysis it was know that the mathematics consetual understanding of the students taugt by using Trading Places active strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VII of SMPN 3 Kota Solok registered in academic year 2013/2014.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research is  students comprehension of mathematical concepts is low and the lack of cooperation of students with other students. The aims of this study is to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts by using cooperative learning Make a Match a better comprehension of mathematical concepts than students using the conventional teaching high school students of class XI Science Adabiah Padang Academic Year 2013/2014. Experimental research is type of this research, with a random design on the subject. Sampling was done randomly, which was selected as the experimental class is a class XI IPA2 and class XI IPA1 as the control class. The research instrument is the final test of learning that contains an indicator of comprehension the concept of the reliability of the test is  = 0.93. Based on the analysis of data got by the average value of the experimental class higher than the control class. Hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney  test. From the calculation of z ≤ -1.9158 has a probability under H0 of p = 0.0274; because it is smaller than α = 0.05, reject H0 and accept H1 , so  the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the hypothesis test results concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts that apply cooperative learning Make a Match a better than comprehension of mathematical concepts than students with applying conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was designed for determining whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of students taught by using technique Numbered Head of Structured cooperative learning was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental  research wich used pre eksperimental design: static group comparison. The data was collected by using a on posttest mathematics conceptual understanding. The results of hypothesis test showed that P-value=0,000 was smaller than α=0,05, indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. Thus, it was concluded that the mathematics conceptual understanding of students taught by using technique Numbered Head of Structured cooperative learning was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning of SMPN 10 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of  this research  is the students comprehension of mathematical concepts is low and the students that have more ability are less share the low ability students. To solve the problem by implement active learning type Group To Group. The research purpose is to determine whether the students comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing active learning type of Group To Group is better than students with an comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing conventional teaching class XI IPS SMAN 14 Padang lesson year 2013/2014. The type of this  research is experimental research, with a random design on the subject. Sampling was done randomly, chosen as the experimental class is a XI IPS4  and as control class is XI IPS1. The instrument used was a test of comprehension of mathematical concepts in the from of essays with a reliability test is = 0,93. Based on the analysis of data samples know to both classes have a normal distribution and homogeneous variance. Hypothesis testing using t-test. From the calculation  > , so hypothesis is accepted then the confidence interval 95%. Based on the hypotesis test results concluded  that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts that implement active learning type of Group To Group better than students comprehension of mathematical concept with conventional learning.

Abstract

This research was backgrounded by students understanding on mathematic concepts was low. This research was aimed to see what is the students understanding on mathematic concept by using Sucker Ball game better than the students understanding on mathematic concept by using conventional learning at Eighth grade students of SMPN 33 Padang academic year 2013/2014. This study was experimental research by random selecting group of sample. The technique of data nalysis used t-test by using MINITAB. Refering to the data analysis that had been clone it was found P-value = 0,042 was lower than α = 0,05. It can be summarized that the student understanding on mathematic concept using Sucker Ball game better than the student understanding on mathematic concept using conventional learning.

Abstract

AbstractBackground of the research is student less comprehen of lesson concept, student less active in learning, and many student only cheat exercise their friend’s. Goals of research to describe student’s activity by used active learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model and to known what is  students comprehension mathematical concept’s by used that model’s better than comprehension mathematical concept’s by applying conventional teaching students in class XI IPA SMA Adabiah 2 Padang on 2013/2014. Type of research was experimental. Randomized Control Group Only Design. Instrument of the research was observation sheet and final test with indicator of comprehension mathematical concepts in the form of essay got reliability test 0,836. Based on data analysis both of class, one class samples have not normal distributions. data Analysis technique used non parametrik statistik part the help of Minitab, Mann-Whitney test got P-Value = 0,0000 with α =0,05, it means that the hypothesis was accepted.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted due to the students’ low understanding of mathematics concept and their inability to express ideas and answer the questions given. The aim of this research was to reveal whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by applying  cooperative learning model sending greeting technique and question was better than that of students taught by applying conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 35 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of  SMPN 35 Padang registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instrument of the research was an essay posttest whose reliability =  0.86. Based on the result of data analysis  by using t-test of the side, it was found that the value of = 2.33 was higher than = 1.67 indicating that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by applying cooperative learning model sending greeting  technique  and question was better than that of students taught by applying conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 35 Padang
