Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research were background by the students who passive in process of study and students’ comprehension of mathematical concept that still low. This research were aim to know how to increased students activity use Teknik Pasar and also to know whether students’ comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing  Teknik Pasar was better than implementing conventional learning in class XI IPA SMAN 15 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random to subject. Observation sheet analysis result obtained that students’ activity was increased in every meeting. Hypothesis test used t-test one way with minitab Software, obtained that tvalue = 1,94 and ttable = 1,668 with  = 0,05. Because of tvalue  ttable, then H0 was rejected. It can be conclude that students’ comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing Teknik Pasar was better than students’ comperehension of  mathematical concept by implementing conventional in class XI IPA SMAN 15 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was designed for revealing whether the mathematic conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Snowball Thorowing active learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research. The Population of this research was the students in class IX of  SMPN 17 Padang. In collecting the data, an essay post-test that consisted of six items on the conceptual understanding was administered to the sample classes. The data collected was analyzed by using normality test, homogenity test and t-test. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the average score of the students in the experrimental class was 83,04 and in the control class was 69,41. This result had indicated that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Snowball Thorowing active learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class IX of  SM N 17 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACTComprehension of mathematical concept of students in class VIII of SMPN 33 that still low. It causes less of interaction from the students so that they have not share knowledge with their friends. One way that is used to overcome this problems is Rotating Trio Exchange. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of Rotating Trio Exchange strategies could give a better effect on the students comprehension of mathematical concept than the conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 33 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in students comprehension of mathematical concept. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained  tcount = 3.3218 and ttable = 1.6710,  indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of Rotating Trio Exchange strategies could improve the students comprehension of  mathematical concept  better than the conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background from this research is a low comprehension students’ mathematics concept at MTsN Durian Tarung Padang. The aim from this research is to know the comprehension students’ mathematics which use active learning strategies Quiz team more better from a comprehension students’ with use a conventional learning. A kind from this research is experiment with purposive sampling. The instrument is a comprehension students’ mathematics test like essay with reliability test is  = 0,86. Analysis data technique which use is t-test in one side with Minitab. According to the hypothesis testing results obtained tvalue=3,33  is greater than ttable=1,66 so that the hypothesis research is accepted. It can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies Quiz team with better than students in the class VIII.2 comprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional learning students in the class VIII.3 at the level of 95% in MTsN Durian tarung Padang.

Abstract

 ABSTRACTComprehension of  mathematical concept of students in class VIII of SMPN 33 that still low. This is why students do not like learning mathematical. One way that is used to overcome this problems is type of active learning  strategies Bingo Review. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use type of active learning strategies Bingo Review  could give a better effect on the students comprehension of  mathematical concept than the conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 33 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in students comprehension of  mathematical concept. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained tcount = 2.47 and ttable = 1.664,  indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of  Bingo Review strategies could improve the students comprehension of  mathematical concept better than the conventional learning

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe the students learning activities and to reveal whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Trading Place active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN 2 Batang Kapas registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instrument of the research were an observation sheet and an essay test. The data gathered was analyzed by using t-test assisted whit MINITAB. Based on the result of data analysis it was found that the two sample classes were normally distributed and homogenous. Furthermore, result of hypothesis test incated that p-value (0,007) was smaller than a signifying that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the student taught by using Trading Places active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using  conventional learning  students in class VIII of SMPN 2 Batang Kapas.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was carried out due to the students’ low understanding of mathematical concept in class VIII of SMPN 2 Padang. This research was intended to reveal the development of the students’ understanding of mathematical concept by using True Or False Statement active learning strategy an to see  whether the mathematical conceptual understanding of the student taugh by using True Or False Statement active learning strategy was better than that of student taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 26 Padang. The instrument of the research were a quiz and a posttest. The data gotten was analyzed by using    t-test assisted with software MINITAB. Based on the result of dat a analysis, it was figured out that p-value was smaller than a indicating that the mathematical conceptual understanding of the students taught by using True Or False Statement active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning.

This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. In collecting the data, an essay test on the conceptual understanding was used. The data collected was analyzed by using t-test. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the two sample classes were normally distributed and homogenous. the result of hypothesis test showed that the understanding of mathematical concepts by Guided teaching active learning strategy was better than that by using conventional learning in class VIII of MTsN Talaok Bayang

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was based on the students’ low understanding of mathematical concept. This resulted in the students’ understanding of mathematical concept embedded optimally yet one good alternative to overcome these problems in mathematics learning strategies used The Power Of Two. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concept by using active learning strategies The Power Of Two with quiz was better than the students understanding of mathematical concept using conventional learning in class VII SMPN 5 Padang. The design used was random against subject. With population of all VII grade students SMPN 5 Padang. Sample were taken at random. VII4 classroom experiments and VII5 selected as the control class. Research instruments are quizzed and final test in the form of an essay. From the analysis of test data and the understanding of concept normally distributed homogeneously. Based on the analysis result, the average student learning outcomes experimental class 98.42 higher than the control class is 82.81. From the hypothesis done t table obtained was less than the calculed. So it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concept by using active learning strategies The Power Of Two with Quiz was better than the students understanding of mathematical concept using conventional in class VII SMPN 5 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concepts was still low. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Bisnis Berisiko Technique than students understanding of mathematical concepts with the application of conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used Pre-Experimental Design: Static Group Comparison. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of MTsN Durian Tarung Padang registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instrument of the research was a posttest. The data collected was analyzed by using software MINITAB. The result of the research showed that the average score of the students in the experimental group was 54,01 and in the control class was 28,44. The result of the t-test indicated that the hypothesis was accepted. Based on these results, it was concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Bisnis Berisiko Technique was better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in class VIII of MTsN Durian Tarung Padang. Â
