The high school of students SMAN 3 Solok Selatan have a matter about the lack of Understanding of mathematical concepts. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical conceps with the aplication of Cooperative Learning Model type Think Talk Write (TTW) accompanied quiz better thanthestudents understanding of mathematical conceps by using convensional learning isthe class X  SMAN 3 Solok Selatan 2013/2014. This type of research is experimental Thee study population was a tenth grade the high school of students class X SMAN 3 Solok Selatan. Techniques in sampling is random,which was selected as the experimental class is X.4 and control class is X.3. The instrument used was the ultimate test with indikator understanding of mathematical conceps. Form used is the essay test with a reliabiliti of 0,92. Result of students skill is treated by one person. Obtained P-value = 0,005 is less then the significan  level a = 0,05. The resulted in H1 is accepted and it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical conceps with the application of Cooperative Learning Model type Think Talk Write (TTW) accompanied quiz better then understanding of the mathematical conceps that students applying conventional learning the high school of students class X SMAN 3 Solok Selatan 2013/2014

The research was motivated by the studentsâ comprehension of math concept are still low at SMPN 5 Koto XI Tarusan. This research aims to determine the studentsâ comprehension of math concept that apply cooperative learning Talking Stick type better than studentsâ comprehension of math concept that apply conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 5 Koto XI Tarusan. This type of research is experimental research, the design of randomized trials on the subject. The research instrument was a test of understanding mathematical concepts shaped the essay with a reliability test is r11 = 0.904, that is to say about that used reliable. Based on the analysis of the data found that the two classes are normally distributed and homogeneous samples at significance level α = 0.05. Hypothesis test results obtained P-value = 0.000 is less than α = 0.05, the research hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts using cooperative learning model Talking Stick better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional teaching class VIII SMPN5 Koto XI Tarusan.

This research has the background that the progression of studentsâ concept comrehensions and their mathematical concept comprehensions are still low. The purposes of this research are to know: 1) the progression of concept comprehension of VIII-grade students of SMPN 2 Lengayang by applying the active learning strategy with ICM type in mathematical learning in an experimental class, and 2) whether the studentsâ mathematical concept comprehension by applying the active learning strategy with ICM type is better than that by using the conventional learning for the VIII-grade students of SMPN 2 Lengayang.This is an experimental research. The population in this research is the VIII-grade students, who were registered in the year 2013/2014. The selected samples were VIIIa-class as an experimental class and VIIIb-class as control. The instrument used in this research is tests of concept comprehension in the form of essay with reliability of 0.594.Based on the results of data analysis on the studentsâ mathematical concept comprehension for both sample classes, it is obtained that the average concept comprehension for the experimental class is 74.24 and for the control class 60.62. The results of hypothesis tests show that P-value is 0.003 on the real level of       α = 0.05, and because P-value < α, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Then, it can be concluded that the studentsâ mathematical concept comprehension by applying the active learning strategy with ICM type is better than that by using the conventional one for the VIII-grade students of SMPN 2 Lengayang.

The centre of learning process by the teachers and lack of motivation to find mathematic concept causes the comprehension math concept of students relatively low is the basic to do this research. The purpose of this research is to know weather the comprehension of math concept by using the Genius Learning strategy with Penemuan Terbimbing method is better than comprehension of math concept by using conventional learning at class IX of state Junior High School 20 Padang TP 2012/2013. This research is experimental research and use random sampling. To analyze the data this research used Mann-Whitney test with Minitab software. The result of hypotesis test is probability = 0,0039 with a = 0,05, so the hypotesis was accepted. So that it concludes that the comprehension of students math concept by using Genius Learning strategy with Penemuan Terbimbing method is better than comprehension of math concept by using conventional learning.

This research was conducted based on the phenonema indicating that the students understanding of mathematical concept have still low, that can be seen from the completion percentage of I-semester point of VII-grade students of SMPN 28 Padang. This was because the students do not concern with learning. The purpose of this research is to know whether the student understanding of mathematical concept by using the active learning strategy with Guided Note Taking (GNT) type was better than the student understanding of mathematical concept by applying the conventional one of VII-grade students of SMPN 28 Padang. This was experimental research. The population in this research  the VII-grade students of SMPN 28 Padang of the year 2013/2014, and they consist of seven classes with random sampling technique. The selected classes are VII.8 class as an experimental class and VII.5 class as a control. The instruments used in this research was final tests. The form of tests provided was essay with the number of 8 problems with reliability of 0.918. From the results of hypothesis analysis, it is obtained that P-value is 0.001 so that the hypothesis is accepted on the real level of α = 0.05. It can be summarized that the students understanding of mathematical concept by applying the active learning strategy with Guided Note Taking (GNT) type was better than that by using the conventional one for the VII-grade students of  SMPN 28 Padang.

 The background of this research is the low understanding of mathematical concept and study enthusiasm of VIII grade students of MTsN Gurun Panjang. This research is purposed to find out that the studentâs mathematical concept with Sucker Ball game along with handout is better than students mathematical concept with conventional learning in VIII grade students of MTsN Gurun Panjang year 2012/2013. The type of this research is experimental research, with research design random to the subject. The population in this research is VIII grade students of MTsN Gurun Panjang years 2012/2013 which is consist of three classes. The sampling technique is random, the class is VIII.1 class, and the control class is VIII.2 class. The instrumentation of this research is mathematical concept understanding test. The form of the test is essay. The data analysis technique is t- examination which is supported by Minitab software. Be based on the data analysis was known that both of the sample class have the normal distribution and the homogeneity at  level. The result of hypotheses is P-value = 0,000 is lower than, so the hypotheses of this research are accepted. It can be conluded the matematical concept of students who implemented the Sucker Ball game along with handout is better than the mathematical concept of students who implimen hte conventional learning is VIII grade of MTsN Gurun Panjang, years 2012/2013.

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the low of students understanding of mathematic concept and monotonesâ students in learning process. The research purpose is how students activity in learning process by applying a quick on the draw technique and whether the students understanding of mathematic concept by applying  this quick on the draw technique is better than conventional learning in grade VIII SMPN 3 Hiliran Gumanti. This type of research is experimental, research with  randomization design. The populations are the students of grade  VIII SMPN 3 Hiliran Gumanti. The sample clasies were determined randomly, which  is take the grade VIII.A as experimental class and grade VIII.B as control class. The instrument used is this research is observation sheet and concept understanding test with a reliability  test r11 = 0.89. Based on the result of the observation, by applying quick on the draw technique make the students activity increase. The technique  of data analysis is using T-test and the result is tcalculated=1,94 and ttable=1,69 with α=0,05. So, tcalculated > ttable  it can conclude that the mathematics concept of students in applying this quick on the draw technique better than the conventional concept in grade VIII SMPN 3 Hiliran Gumanti.

The research was background by the student comprehension of mathematical concept are still low at SMPN 1 Lengayang. Research purposes to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts using Strategy Rotating Trio Exchange better than students with an comprehension of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 1 Lengayang. Type of research to design experiments by using Randomized for Subject. The research instrument was a test, the reliability r11 = 0.71. The data analysis technique used is the one party t final test, tcount = 2,30 > ttable = 1,64, then the hypothesis is accepted, So it can be concluded that the studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts by using strategies Rotating Trio Exhange better than students comprehension of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning in class VIII SMPN1 Lengayang.

Based on background knowledge of this research was understanding of concept mathematics at VIII grade of SMP N16 Padang. It is caused by the materials that students have been lost from their mind. This research is to determine whether studentsâ understanding of concept mathematics by using Sepak Bola Verbal strategy better than studentsâ understanding of concept mathematics by using conventional strategy andto know how the students motivation ini learning by using sepak bola verbal strategy at VIII SMP N 16 Padang.Type of this research was experiment. Population of this research was students at VIII SMP N 16 Padang, and sample of this research was students class VIII.8as experimental class and VIII.6 as control class. Post-Test was as instrumentation in this research, with reliability 0.84.From the data analysis get mean score from studentsâ achievement in experimental class was 68.89 that high rather than in control class that was 57.04.Data analysis was done by using minitab program.P-value= 0.026so hypothesis use acceptable. So, we can conclude that studentsâ understanding of concept mathematics that used Sepak Bola Verbal strategy better than conventional strategy at VIII Grade of SMP N 16 Padang.

Background of this research is the low of student`s comprehension of mathematical concepts and student`s responsible to their exercises that given by the teacher. The purpose of this research is to know what is student`s comprehension of mathematical concepts at grade VIII MTsN Durian Tarung Padang that use cooperative learning model type Teams-Games-Tournament (TGT) better than convensional model. Kind of this research is experimental research, with research plan is Randomized Control Group Only Design. Population of this research is student`s at grade VIII MTsN Durian Tarung Padang academic year 2012/2013. Sample is grade VIII1 as experiment class and VIII2 as control class. The instrumentation of this research is comprehension test of mathematical concept. The form of test is essay with reliabilitastes is r11= 0,77. Technique of data analysis is used in this research is t-test one side by using software minitab. Based on the result of t-test is P-value = 0,001, it means lower than  = 0,05, therefore hipotesis is accepted furthermove. We can conclude that student`s comprehension of mathematical concept is treated by using cooperative learning model type Teams-Games-Tournament (TGT) better than student`s comprehension of mathematical concept is treated by using convensional learning at grade VIII MTsN Durian Tarung Padang academic year 2012/2013.
