Abstract

The background of this research about students understanding of mathematis concept is still low. The purpose of this research to know what students understanding of mathematis concept with applying Domino Game strategi with handout is more good than students understanding of mathematis concept by using convensional learning at SMPN 27 Padang. This research is experiment research with random design toward subject. The population in this research is all of student at class of VIII SMPN 27 Padang of year 2012/2013 consist of seven class of VIII.1 is best class. Technique of sampling is done by random sampling, furthermore it is chosen VIII.2 class as experiment class and VIII.4 class as control class. Instrument of this research is final test that is formed valid and reliable test in 95 %. Based hyphotesis test that use by uji t one step, in briefly students understanding of mathematis concept applay Domino Game strategi with handout which is more good than students understanding of mathematis concept with convensional learning. Be hope for the teacher can try to teach by using Domino Game  strategi with handout.

Abstract

Students comprehension of mathematical concepts are relatively low is underlying done this research. The purposes research is to increase students comprehension of mathematical concepts with models of cooperative learning Type group investigation with the media three charts in seventh grade. This type of research is the study of the random experiment with the design of the subject. From the results of the study concluded that students comprehension of mathematical concepts with Cooperative Learning Type Group Investigation and also Three Charts Media  models has increased.

Abstract

The background of this research told about student’s concept comprehension that lower so the result of student’s mathematics learning much of them can’t achieve the minimum passing grade yet and students cannot find creative ideas in learning process . The purpose of this research to determine what is mathematics concept comprehension students by applying the method of discussion (Fish Bowl) better than student’s learning conventional at VIII grade SMPN 3 Solok Selatan 2013/2014. The population was students VIII grade SMPN 3 Solok Selatan 2013/2014 consist of two classes. The sample of this research is VIIIb as experiment class and VIII b as class control. Instrument using test comprehension concept student’s mathematics have essay test with reliability test 0.83. Hypothesis test using MINITAB t-test. The result of the data analysis P-value 0,033 less from α that 0, 05 so the hypothesis was accepted, in concluded that student’s mathematics concept with applying discussion method (Fish Bowl) better than learning conventional at VIII grade at SMPN 3 Solok Selatan 2013/2014

Abstract

The  backgrounds  of  this  research  are  the  students’  unwillingness  to  share  the information  and  the  styudents’  low  concept  understanding  on  the  mathematical learning of the grade-XI natural-science class of SMAN 1 2x11 Enam Lingkung in  the  years  2012/2013. The  type  of  research  is  experimental  by  using Randomized Control Group Only Design. The data analysis technique used is TTest . Techniques of data analysis were performed using one-way t test. Based on the analysis of data obtained t of 4.95 is greater than the amount specified t table 1.64.  Then the  hypothesis  in  this  research  received.  In  conclusion,  students’ comprehension of math concept that apply cooperative learning Pair Checks than students’ comprehension of math concept that apply conventional learning.

Abstract

Comprehension of mathematical concept for students is still low becomes a basic of this research. The purpose of this research is to know the comprehension of mathematical concept for active learning strategy’s students type Questions Students Have (QSH) with Handout were better than implementation of conventional learning’s students for grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Aur Province of West Pasaman. The type of this research is experimental research by using random planning focused on subject. The populations are students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Aur Province of West Pasaman, which consist of two classes. Moreover, sample of this research is taken by random, VIII.1 is for experimental class and VIII.2is for control class. The instrument of this research is the comprehension of mathematical concept test. The techniques of data analysis is using t test for one group by software MINITAB is got P-value smaller than  , so this hyphothesis is accepted. In conclusion, the comprehension of mathematical concept for active learning strategy’s students type Questions Students Have (QSH) with Handout were better than implemented conventional learning’s students for grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Aur Province of West Pasaman.

Abstract

This research is motivated by lock studentscomprehension of mathematical concepts. The students are less able to define the core of the learning material submitted by teachers and students who are less responsible in doing tast at the eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Basa Ampek Balai. This study aims to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts class VIII SMPN 3 Basa Ampek Balai used Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) used traditional models with media three charts better than conventional learning. The type of research study design randomized experiment with the subject. The instruments that is used in the study is a test of the ability of comprehension mathematical concepts. The final test is essay shaped with a reliability test was 0,76. Hypothesis test results with MINITAB obtained p-value is 0,009, then the hypothesis in this study received. So, it can be concluded that the capabilities students comprehension of mathematical concepts apply cooperative learning models NHT type charts with three media better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 3 Basa Ampek Balai in year 2012-2013  WITH 95% confidence level.

Abstract

This research is based on the background by the student’s  understanding mathematical concept is low, which cause the result of learning student mathematics is not good. This research aim to 1) know whether student’s understanding of mathematical concept  student with implementing active study strategy  type of Everyone Is A Teacher here better than the understanding of mathematical concept by applying with conventional teaching  class of VIII SMPN 1 Pancung Soal 2013 / 2014 school year.  2). How’s student motivation to learn mathematics.This type of research is experimental. Population in this research is all student in grade VIII SMPN 1 Pancung Soal  2013 / 2014 school year, which consist of 6 class. Tehcnique of random sampling is the chosen class VIII.2 as experimental class and  VIII.3 as control class. Research Instrument  are  enquette form and the final test. Test  used is essai with the reliabilitation  0,91. Technique analyse data which is use test of t one side with MINITAB.Based on final data test analysis can be obtained by p-Value = 0,041 smaller than a = 0,05. This means can be concluded students  understanding of mathematical concept by implementing active study strategy  type of Everyone Is A Teacher Here better than the students understanding of mathematical concept by applying convetional learning in class of VIII SMPN 1 Pancung Soal 2013 / 2014, school year. Pursuant to enquette analysis motivate students to learn by using active strategy type of Everyone Is A Teacher Here is motivating.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of understanding of the mathematical concepts that students learn mathematics and results from class VIII student SMPN 1 Pasaman. Students did not dare to ask verbally of subject matter is not understood. This study aims to determine, whether the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementating a strategy type Questions Students Have better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning of student’s class VIII SMPN 1 Pasaman School Year 2012/2013, and to determined whether the implementation of strategy type Questions Students Have effectively in the learning of mathematics. Type of research is experimental’s research with random design of subject. The research instrument is shaped essay with a final test of reliability is 0,85, and questionnaire research with criteria very effective is 82,26%. Based on hypothesis test results obtained p-value is 0,028 less than the specified  is 0,05, then reject H0. So, it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementating a strategy type Questions Students Have better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning at the level of 95%. Questionnaire data analysis showed that the application of strategy type Questions Students Have is very effective in learning mathematics.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low of the student’s understanding of mathematical concepts, so that most of the student’s get the score under Criteria Minimum Masteri (KKM),  the students do not active a long the learning process. The purpose of this research is to sint out the student’s learning activiti a long the application of active learning type Class Concern and to now that the student’s understanding mathematical concept by using active learning Class Concern strategi more better than the student’s  understanding of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning in class eight of SMN 1 Tigo Nagari. The study of this research is experimental, by design random experiment to ward tha subject. The population of this study is student’s of class eighth SMPN 1 Tigo Nagari that consist of six classes. The sampel take by using random sampling tecnique. The instrument of this research is the observation paper of student’s activities and the test of understanding mathematical concept. The technique of analyzing data of this research is T-test one hide by MINITAB. Based on the analizing data, the researcer know that basth of the sampel class have normal distribution and homogeneus  in α=0,05. Hypothesis test the researcer get P-value=0,008 smaller than α=0,05, so hypothesis of this peaser is acceped. So that researcer can conclude that It the students understanding of mathematical concepts by using Aktive learning type Class Concern better than students with an understanding of the mathematical concept learning in class VIII conventional SMPN 1 Tigo Nagari.

Abstract

In this research , as background of the study is low achievement of student in SMPN 2 IV Jurai. The purpose of study is to determine: whether are the result of using active instructional model as type learning group is better then using the conventional learning. The kind of study is experimental research. Population of the study was VIII grade of SMPN 2 IV Jurai especially academic years 2012/2013. The researcher chosen the sample by using random sampling technique, the samples were VIII.1 and VIII.2. the instrument that had been used for collecting data is by giving achievement test. The test is essay form that has reliability about = 0,89. In addition, analyzing data that had been done by using t test. Based on the hypothesis testing is gotten P-value = 0,008 < . In this case, the hypothesis can be received. It can be concluded that using the type of group learning model is better than using conventional learning in teaching process.
