Abstract

In accordance with the demands of the academic accreditation or accreditation forms STKIP PGRI West Sumatra requires data on how long the period of study the student and indexstudent achievement when completing educationpresentation of these data can be difficult in a system to analyze the data because it does not exist, the authors conducted research on decision-making system to determine how long the period of study and indexstudent achievement with fuzzy Tahani database where all the data contained in the database of academic portal campus.

Abstract

Students' abilities can be developed through lectures,one of which is variable English for mathematics. In order for the maximum tuition required of a material that can support course lectures. In West Sumatra, Padang PGRI STKIP students only rely on one textbook only when the lectures, so the motivation and low student interest in learning. Therefore it takes a lecture materials that can help facilitate students in the lecture, which is a LKM. The purpose of this study is to develop a LKM valid, practical and effective in subjects STKIP PGRI English for mathematics in West Sumatra. This study is a research development. This LKM was developed by using the 4D model (define, design, develop, and desseminate). Phase desseminate not done. The data was collected with the validation and testing of the LKM. LKM is validated by the lecturer and expert English for mathematics, as well as Indonesian lecturers. Tests carried out on mathematics education students STKIP PGRI West Sumatra to know practicality and effectiveness of the LKM. The results showed that: LKM have been effective. This is evident from the activities of students and high motivation to learn after the lecture.

Abstract

Interpersonal Communication is a social process by which individuals are engaged in them influence each other. The phenomenon that occurs in students associated with interpersonal communication is a lot of misunderstanding when students have problems communicating, mutual understanding is often not the case when students interact with other students. Group counseling services are in guidance and counseling services that can be used to improve students' interpersonal communication. By conducting group counseling services, students will be given the understanding and practice of communication interpsersonal. Abstract

The purpose of this research in general is to address learning problems in SMP Negeri 6 Lubuk Basung. Specifically, this study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the use of simulation methods in the Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) in the class IX.B SMP Negeri 6 Lubuk Basung. The results showed the use of simulation method succeeded in improving student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, in classical only 46.6% of the total students in the class IX.B SMP 6 Lubuk Basung that achieve mastery learning with class average value reached 6.96, while in the second cycle which increased 76.6% of the total number of students has reached the thoroughness with an average value of 7.8 class. Based on these results it can be concluded that the use of simulation methods succeeded in improving student learning outcomes Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) in the class IX.B SMP N 6 Lubuk Basung.

Abstract

Konsep Diri dan Efikasi Diri Sebagai Poin Mendasar Dalam Aktivitas Sosial (Sebuah Analisis Psikologis : Teori Kognitif Sosial). Analisis ini beranjak dari penelitian  terdahulu pada tahun 2014 yang dimulai dari perhatian peneliti tentang system pendidikan no 20 tahun 2013 “ ... Pendidikan membentuk kecerdasan dan kemampuan yang mereka butuhkan untuk masyarakat dan Negara”. Pendidikan bukan hanya menyampaikan pengetahuan akan tetapi juga mentransfer pengalaman, kesiapan dan seperti halnya keyakinan akan kemampuan dan identitas diri pada mahasiswa sebagai bekal dalam aktivitas sosialnya seperti halnya kesiapan dalam karir. Yakin akan kemampuan ini dikenal dengan efikasi diri, dan identitas diri dikenal dengan konsep diri. Variabel ini yang di uji dalam penelitian selanjutnya tahun 2015 sekarang dan hasilnya ditemukan bahwa kedua variabel ini memiliki kontribusi terhadap kesiapan karir. Maka analisis ini dilanjutkan untuk didiskusikan sebagai poin dasar dari aktivitas sosial dalam perspektif psikologi. Ditemukan bahwa konsep diri dan efikasi diri berkontribusi dan memiliki signifikan korelasi meski tidak semuanya signifikan ketika dilihat koefisien t-tes. Temuan ini akan di diskusikan lebih dalam seperti apa implikasinya konsep diri dan efikasi diri dalam aktivitas sosial manusia secara global.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan oleh guru guna meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran IPS yang rendah dibandingkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran lainnya. Peneliti merancang pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan model inquiry untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa Kelas VIASD Negeri 18 Tangah Koto Kecamatan Sungaipua Agam Sumbar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry terhadap hasil belajar IPS pada siswa SD Kelas VIA SD Negeri 18 Tangah Koto Kecamatan Sungaipua Agam Sumbar pada Kompetensi Dasar Memahami Gejala Alam yang Terjadi di Indonesia dan Sekitarnya.Penelitian ini memiliki variabel terikat hasil belajar IPS SD dan variabel bebasnya adalah model pembelajaran inquiry. Desain penelitiannya yaitu desain penelitian tindakan kelas atau Classroom Action Research. Subjek penelitiannya sebanyak 22 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar IPS (pre test dan posttest). Hasil penelitian ini adalah; model pembelajaran inquiry berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar IPS pada siswa Kelas VIASD Negeri 18 Tangahkoto Sungaipua. Model pembelajaran inquiry diharapkan dapat disosialisasikan kepada para guru untuk dipergunakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan dapat dijadikan khasanah keilmuan sebagai alternatif dalam penggunaan model pembelajaran yang akan diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran IPS di SD. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan bahan rujukan bagi guru lain untuk penelitian-penelitian berikutnya.

Abstract

Previous application of the repertory grid technique in exploring participants’ personal constructs has been noteworthy. However, this technique could be modified to suit the purposes of the research questions, the conditions of the participants and the context of the study. This paper presents personal constructs theory which underpins the repertory grid technique and it also proposes the ways to developa modified repertory grid instrument for eliciting teachers’ personal constructs. According to Kelly (1955), a seminal psychologist, individual forms their constructs based on their observations and experiences and these personal constructs are used to interpret events. To elicit participants’ personal constructs regarding the topic under study, the repertory grid instrument, which is developed based on Kelly’s Personal Construct Theory, could bemodified through interview trials. After conducting the interview trials, the resultsshould be analyzed to identify whether this instrument is effective not only for participants but also for the researchers. The modified repertory grid instrument should allow and support participants in formalizing and elaborating their personal constructs. For the researchers, the instrument should be helpful to identify the participants’ personal constructs based on their own conceptions and understandings toward the topic under study.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine 1) how much influence the positioning of Mie Sedaap Through TV commercials based on the attributes, price and quality, aspects of the use or manufacture, the uniqueness of the product with the intention of buying a competitor to the education of students of Economics STKIP West Sumatra PGRI 2) how much influence the positioning Mie Sedaap based on attributes through the intention to buy TV ads Economic education students STKIP PGRI West Sumatra 3) the influence of positioning Mie Sedaap through TV advertising rates are based on the intention to buy the education of students of Economics STKIP PGRI West Sumatra 4) how much influence the positioning of Mie Sedaap based aspects of the use or way through the making of the TV ad buy against the purpose of education student STKIP Economic PGRI West Sumatra 5) how much influence the positioning of Mie Sedaap based uniqueness of products through TV ads against the intention to buy the education of students of Economics STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. Type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this research is the education of students of Economics STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. While the size of the sample of 92 people with the sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling. This type of data is the primary data by using questionnaire data collection techniques. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis consisting of: classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, T test and Test F. Abstract

The observations showed that there were five problems faced by the students in reading comprehension class : (1) students were lazy to read English texts; (2) students fount difficulty to understand the contents of reading text because the have limited vocabulary; (3) students did not  have enough time because they have busy to consult the dictionary for any difficult words they found on the reading text; (4) the students were extremely passive during the class; and (5) the teaching technique used by the teacher was not interesting to the students.To solve the problems, a classroom action research of applying the summarizing strategy was conducted. The results showed that the application of the summarizing strategy to reading comprehension classes successfully improve students’ performance on reading comprehension tests. This success was confirmed by increasing average students score during cycle 1 to cycle 2. The average score during cycle 1 was 64.13, the average score during cycle 2 was 69.88, and that during cycle 3 was 72.38. Furthermore, students’ perceptions of the application of summarizing strategy to reading classes were also improving. These were supported by average percentages of positive perception of 40.5 in cycle 1, 73.9 in cycle 2, 84.6 in cycle 3.Thus, it was concluded that the summarizing strategy id effective to improve students’ reading comprehension. In addition, the strategy also enhances students’ perceptions of the application of the strategy to reading classes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif model pembelajaran aktif tipe giving question and getting answers terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 10 Padang Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak, kelas VIII.A terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII.B terpilih sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pemahaman konsep. Bentuk tes yang digunakan adalah esai dengan reliabilitas tes = 0,92. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kelas control adalah  dengan standar deviasi  sedangkan pda kelas eksperimen nilai rata-rata adalah  dengan standar deviasi adalah . Hasil penggujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t satu pihak diperoleh hipotesis penelitian diterima dengan selang kepercayaan 95%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran aktif tipe Giving Question and Getting Answers berpengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMPN 10 Padang.
