Abstract

Research related to community empowerment strategy is taking case study in Kebonagung tourist village, Imogiri, Bantul Yogyakarta. The purpose of this research is to find the right form of empowerment strategy that aligned to the community. Qualitative research models through the instrument of observation, interviews, and documentation to collect data and facts that occurred in the community based on primary data and secondary data through data triangulation process. Interviews were conducted by researchers with determining the keyperson as resources that is the administrator of tourist village and the community. The strategies proposed in this research include cooperation strategy, cultural defection strategy, and conflict strategy through objective structural approaches as well as objective non-structural approaches. The results showed that community involvement on the existence of tourist village from various economic and socio-cultural aspects have positive impact even though not yet fully. Openness of employment and business opportunity occurred very positively on the participation of the community in the provision of accommodation facilities, but in the social and cultural aspects has not been maximized. Empowerment strategy recommended through this research in order to reach the economic and socio-cultural aspects of the maximum is more priority to the strategy of cooperation in accordance with the culture of rural communities. Abstract

Hearing the southern sea coast people will immediately think queenly figure, namely the southern coast guard Nyi Roro Kidul although the story will kebenerannya is still in question. Local knowledge is maintained continuity able to sustain life would be a tourist attraction and can increase the assets of government and society around. Local knowledge is a form of human effort in order to maintain, manage and preserve the indigenous culture and using his intellect (cognition) to act and behave towards something, objects or events that occur in a given space and dimension criteria to qualify as local wisdom. Qualitative research method is the right choice for this research because it aims to understand a phenomenon in the social context naturally. By having the natural attractions that are unique and distinctive and myths Nyi Roro Kidul attached, Pelabuhan Ratu eligible criteria of the tourist village and has the potential to bring assets and contribute in generating economical resources which are expected to provide benefits for the future and survival of the government and surrounding communities. Abstract

Tourism proved to contribute in the acceptance of local revenues and plays a role in alleviating poverty. Tourism also plays a role in efforts to improve the nation's identity and encourage awareness and community pride of the natural and cultural wealth. With the tourism, a country or more specifically of local government where it is located, will get revenue from the income of each tourism destination. Potential tourism attraction in Sangiran, Sragen has not fully optimally managed,so that the existence of a tourism asset has not received the maximun response from visitors in the form of tourist visits. The problem in this research is how the potential of cultural tourism Sangiran site and what strategies are applied to the future development of Sangiran Site as a tour. This research aims to find the strategies in Sangiran tourism development according with the character as world heritage site. This research uses SWOT analysis, to find strengths weaknesses factors, opportunities and challenges faced in the development of these attractions. This research is a qualitative which look at research as a process, in order to gain a deep understanding with regard to community interaction in the area of research, Sangiran Site, Kalijambe, Sragen, Central Java Province. The results shown that as rated world's cultural heritage, tourism development position Sangiran located in a strategic position, if it is able to use optimally the power and opportunities that it has. One strength of tourist object is because of the uniqueness and rarity, as shown by a collection of objects on display in the Museum of Ancient Man Sangiran. The cultural heritage objects, dating from prehistoric times, either in the form of early human fossils millions of years old, as well as other antique objects which the old is hundreds years old is very important to understand the life of the ancestors of Indonesia in the past. Efforts to prevent the theft of Sangiran Site’s fossils, so in addition to the on going elucidation of the importance of cultural heritage, legal sanctions should be enforced, due to the exploitation of fossil violating Republic Act No. 11 Year 2010 About the Cultural Heritage. Therefore, it is considered important and urgent, in order to be formed Awareness group as one component in society which have an important role and contribution in the development tourism of Sangiran Site. Abstract

Indonesia is consist of several islands and have various ethnic, tribal and cultural, so it has great potential in the world of tourism especially cultural tourism. Almost all islands or regions of Indonesia have a culture that can be used as a tourist attraction. One of them is the culture of bugis tribe used as a tourist attraction in Bunga Jabe Karimunjawa. The manager of Bunga Jabe Karimunjawa is currently do development of tourist attraction by carrying the theme of bugis tribal culture as a touristattraction and also as the way to preserve the culture of bugis tribe on Bunga Jabe Karimunjawa. In this research, researchers used qualitative naturalistic methods because in this study conducted on natural conditions and researchers as the key instrument. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and documentation techniques. Some cultures of bugis tribe used as a tourist attraction at Bunga Jabe Karimunjawa beach are local language or bugis language, bugis traditional art of Pecak Silat Baruga and Paduppa Dance, custom homes of bugis tribe or stlit house, dwarf house as an accommodation and bugis typical food. Abstract

This research is a quantitative research using survey method. The locations of the research are in the three tourist objects including Goa Cemara Beach, Kuwaru Beach, and Pandansimo Baru Beach. This study aims to analyze the tourist characteristics in the three research location and to learn how to formulate a plan for the most appropriate for tourism products at three locations sights. The approach used to analyze the tourist characteristics is the four elements of market segmentation: geographic, socio- demographic, psychographic, and behavioral. The samples of the research are 156 respondents with the margin of error 8% done using purposive sampling technique during March to April 2015 in the three research locations. The data collection was taken by questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Once the data is collected and processed with quantitative analysis using statistical tools, frequency distribution, and cross table (crosstabs). The result shows that the geographic characteristics of tourists in the three locations are balanced between tourists from outside and inside Bantul Regency. Then, the socio- demographic characteristics of tourists in Goa Cemara Beach and Pandansimo Baru Beach are dominated by private employees/BUMN(state-owned corporation), aged 22-60 years old, married and repeater tourist, while tourists in Kuwaru Beach are dominated by students, under 22 years old, single status and first comer tourists. Furthermore, in terms of psychographics, tourists in the three locations who have psychocentric characteristics prefer to get something plural, popular, and like to do common activities with the frequency of short stay visit. Lastly, the behavior of tourists in the three research locations is dominated by doing recreation or having leisure time to enjoy the main attractions of coastal landscape. The results of tourist characteristics of these three locations are used as the basis for planning of thematic tourism products in accordance with the character of the three research objects. Abstract

Development the tourism village aims at increasing the society well-being and educating the people in the field of development at the tourism sector, for the purpose is long-term in the next five years on 2021 that Indonesia could bring 10 million foreign tourists with the bases of development of tourist with special interest, one of them is traveled in tourism village. Pesona Indonesia program is designed by the ministry of tourism and creative economy is a program that is designed to encourage the progress and well-being of local society the for multiefec from the development of tourism itself in a recreational area that enables to expan the labor and the bussinese of fields of tourism. It means that how can a program capable of blends of internal elements of socio-cultural-dynamic to the development with developing the sectors. In quantity and quality the benefits and its impact of can be looked. The success of the village when developing its source has a strategic significance for improvements of socioeconomic for people and regions ,thus welfare and continuation of tourism village of pottery can work in accordance with the development that is explorative and not exploitive. Especially when we consider in strategic locations tourist village of pottery is located in one the tourism in parangtritis coast very phenomenal. The form of the final objective as a special target is growing the interest and the awareness for the village community especially around tourist village of pottery in sub-district pundong , to develop this tourist village this to be productive village that able to provide the multiplier efect for increasing of income for the surrounding community by the presence of an increasing the employment opportunities , employment sector is as supporting indicator of and it is for supporting in the development nof creative economy community base on local empowerment.The qualitative method is to determine the way to find, collect , cultivate and analyze and understand the social interaction by means of a deep interview so it will find a clear patterns as approach which is the most effective to accelerate the development that refers to the basis of the basic of rights life for community. Abstract

Sunday Morning market is a weekly market that is open on Sundays morning at Gadjah Mada University area. It is a place for informal traders to sell their goods. The analysis shows that there are some patterns of social networks between traders, suppliers and buyers in Sunday Morning market. The formation of social networks among traders is a horizontal network, based on kinship ar friendship. They have the same resources and obligations to be exchanged. The social relationship itself will be manifested in help each others. The social networks formed through kinship has important role to overcome social pressures, poverty, unemployment and limited access in getting economic resources. It is common in the informal trading sector, traditional management applied based on friendship, kinship or origin. The formation of social networks between traders and suppliers is such a vertical social networks, by which the socio-economic status is not worth, as well the exchanged of obligations and resources.The relation between them is patron-client relationship. Whereas, social networks between sellers and buyers is based on the network of interest, social networks between sellers and buyers based on the network of interest in each other. Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the tourism sector has become one of the largest and strongest industries in the world, as well as the largest contributor to public and state revenues. Tourism has become part of the lives of people starting from the existing community in the city to the community in the village. Maros Regency in South Sulawesi has a lot of tourist attractions but the community has not been fully able to identify the tourism potential that exists in the region. This study aims to promote the potential, important values and strategies for the management and development of the Leang-leang Prehistoric Park as a tourist destination. The research result shows that Leang-Leang Prehistoric Park has a cultural tourist attraction containing commercial values that attract many tourists, with the assurance that the expenditure, time and cost,is worth for the experience obtained during the visit. Abstract

The era of information and communication technology provides opportunities and convenience for tourists to meet their needs of self-actualization by telling their experiences through writing, so-called travel writing. Travel writing can be used as a source of information to guide some potential tourists in planning their travels. Furthermore, it can also increase the number of domestic tourists’ visit to several tourist destinations spread across the nation. This research, through the descriptive qualitative approach, aims to thoroughly describe the phenomenon of the use of travel writing as the source of travel information. The informants in this research were 7 people. The data were collected through in-depth interview and questionnaire. The research results shows that magazines, newspapers and web portals have high credibility, while travel blogs have an objective and reliable. There were 5 characteristics of travel writing which expected by the reader such as simple writing, clear language, photo display, facts, and have value of benefits. Abstract

This paper reviews previous models of economic development of tourism using models such as pentahelix which generally focus more on how synergy and synchronization of government, academic, business, media, and tourism institutional actors, as well as the Tourism Satellite Account which methodologically measures only the end result tourism, while the power of the sector of economic potential and the transition of natural resource-based economic potential into a tourism-based economy has not been taken into account. Therefore such a perspective reflects only a narrative, but there is no model that mathematically explains the effect of the shift of the leading economic sector to GDP. Economic sustainability is a useful and useful purpose for human survival, therefore the model of economic development of tourism in the economic development of this society can complement the previous models, theoretically described the concept of economic development of tourism, model, measurement, program and indicators of development success tourism economy.
