Abstract

Internal religious conflicts in the practice of religion in daily life in Islam is prompted by, among others, different schools of thought among the scholars of hadith from the early Islamic period to the present, especially in determining the quality of the hadith as hujjah syar’iyyah. The type of this research is the research library. Data sources are documents consists of: The Book of Hadith Sciences History, Introduction to Hadith, Science of Mustalah al- Hadith, the book of al-Jarh wa al-ta'dil,  hadith collection books (kutub al- tis’ah) and their commentaries.  Research findings are as follows: a). There are four schools of scholars in determining the quality of the hadith, namely, mutasyaddid (strict) muta'annut (excessive), mutawassit (moderate) and mutasahhil (permissive). b). the school mutasyaddid implies that hadith which do not meet the standard of validity may not be used as hujjah syar’iyyah.  The school of mutawassit share this view, noting that unless there is a theorem (from Quran or Hadith) supporting it. The schools of muta'annut and mutasahhil tend to accept hadith with dhaif  quality as reference for the purpose of moral virtue.

Abstract

Hadis, as the second source of Islamic law, has ben referred by muslims from the early periode of Islam, in dealing with their both social and sprituai life. Due this reason, many parties, either muslim or non-muslim have used hadis not only in line with proper function as second source after the Qur’an but olso for improper usage. In order to deal with this issue, this article aims at providing a clear analysis on hadis position and its function as a source for Islamic legislation. By reffering to both Qur’anic interpretation ad hadis contents, and also dealing with opinions of Muslim. It is found that hadis is inseparable from the Qur’an. Surely, there has been a point in Islamic history when either certain Muslin or non-Muslim group denied to acknowledge hadis. This denial, however, was due to their iguarance towards the real means of the Qur’an and hadis itself.

Abstract

Ishtisan is one source ijtihad, which means assuming something better to achieve a kemaslahatan. Ishtihsan be used as evidence because they are more able to realize the objectives of shari'ah. Scholars who use ishtihsan as a source of Islamic law of which the Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Malik and some followers of Imam Ahmad bin Hanibal.Kaitan ishtihsan with legal reform lies in the maqasid Islamic Shari'a, which aims to realize and maintain the benefit of mankind.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengelolaan muallaf dan segala problematikanya yang dilakukan secara sukarela oleh seorang relawan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan pengamatan terhadap aktivitas keseharian pembinaan muallaf, termasuk aktivitas para muallaf yang terkait dengan keagamaan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan muallaf bersifat eksperimental dan learning by doing. Pembinaan menggunakan dua cara, sistematis (non-formal), dan kultural. Cara yang sistematis digunakan untuk pembinaan terhadap anak-anak, sedangkan cara kultural diterapkan kepada muallaf dewasa. Problem pembinaan antara lain; 1). Kemiskinan yang berimplikasi pada minat belajar yang sangat rendah dan rasa inferior, 2). Sifat mereka yang senang berkelompok mempengaruhi kelancaran pembinaan. 3) Kedatangan “orang-orang baru” secara periodik mengganggu sistem pembinaan, 4). Pembinaan kurang terorganisir dan mengandalkan kemampuan seorang pembina saja, 5). Kemampuan pembina yang relatif kurang memadai untuk melakukan pembinaan yang lebih sistematik.

Abstract

AIDS is a bunch of deseases sympton to those who are affected by virus (HIV). Up to now, the researchers have not yet found the medical solusion to tackle the virus. In relation to that, there are a number of strategies which are immediately required like acceleration program. The main objective of this research is to understand the influence of HIV intensive programs regarding the knowledge dan the attitude of labor workers. This research employs quantitative approach through pre-test and post test design. The authors come to conclude that there are any intervention influences after using peer education, and showing movies. There are many changes among the labor workers in terms of their knowledge. Their started to realize the huge impact of spreading virus HIV. However, according the research, showing movies to the object of research is more powerful than the others. It is hoped that the sustainability programs can increase the knowledge regarding HIV and AIDS.

Abstract

As a crucial issue in the Qur’anic discourses , ‘text’ and ‘context’ are often contradicted. Some ulama (Islamic scholars) said that context is not necessary for understanding the Qur’an because the meaning of text became authority of readers since it has been transferred from the verbal to the textual document. While, another ulama said that context could not be avoided because it is kind of realities which was describing the meaning and the object of the text.  Those controversies bring out the problem that have to solve by using historical and Qur’anic science approaches. Through content analysis, this article discovered that ‘text’ is expression of words that genuinely unchangeable to the alternative meaning. Text also means manuscript or document that has a sacral meaning. In this article, text is the versus of the Qur’an. This article also analyzes ‘context’ in which address to two meanings, ‘context’ in terms of socio-historical circumstances in time of codification of the Qur’an and ‘context’ in terms of reader circumstances. The debates occurring between ‘text’ and ‘context’ are urged by theological, linguistic, historical and sociological factors. Normally, the debate between text and context is a natural thing as long as it means compromising not seeking for contradiction, because both are possible to use parallel.

Abstract

The emergence of contemporary interpretation methods of the Qur’an is triggered by, among others, concerns about the output when the interpretation is conducted textually, without taking into account the situation and background of a verse revelation as important historical data. A contemporary interpretation method is the technique of Qur’anic interpretation which places existing humanity issues as its spirit of explication. The current article implements a historical approach with a discourse critical method (content analysis). This contemporary interpretation method, which is a continuation of the modern exegesis, has a relatively long historical root. The history of modern interpretation stems from the emergence of Islamic modernization, which was itself prompted by modernization and renaissance emerging in the West. Modernization of interpretation arises as a result of dissatisfaction on the part of modern commentators upon the works of earlier commentators. The modern commentators argue that the product of earlier commentators do not touch the actual problems of people. Thus, the essence of the modernization of interpretation is criticism of classical interpretations.

Abstract

This article deals with the concept of human being on Quran perspective and philosophy field. Quran, as the main source of Islam, has clearly discussed the creation of human being as stated in different surah of Quran. It was found that the creation oh human being refer to God’s intention. In other words, this paper employes belief approach to see human being in terms of creation, especially when looking at the first human living in the world. Adam was believed as the first father of all human being while Hawa was the first mother af all human species. Quran, futhermore, continue presenting that Adam was generated from different kinds of soils. On the other hand, human being, in accordance with philosophy perspective, is regarded from various perspective. The most familiar one is the theory of Darwain in terms of evolution. This theory provides an understanding that human being was generated from ape. All in all, the author tried to counter this theory through presenting Quranic theories as well as proving that creation of human being can be seen logically.

Abstract

As a descriptive exploration, this article presents the view of KH. Zaini Mun’im with regards to the term Muslim (mukmin) in chapter al-Baqarah verses 1-5 in Tafsir al-Qur'an bi al-Imla. This study serves as an appreciation of the Nusantara intellectual manuscript, an unprinted resource yet obviously valuable and worthy of further research. The result of this investigation shows that the term Muslim refers to a man (human being) who has obtained guidance and thereby follows the Quran’s command. This individual has implemented the concept of fundamental beliefs and creeds into his social live. The creeds comprises believe in the invisible, performs obligatory prayers, sharing God’s blessing, believe in the books of God revealed to His Prophets, and believe in eschatology.

Abstract

Kehidupan di Dunia adalah kesenangan maka seharusnya semua orang menjadikan dunia adalah negeri tempat beramal. Barangsiapa yang bertemu dengan dunia dalam rasa benci kepadanya atau zuhud, akan berbahagialah dia dan beroleh faedah dalam persahabatan itu. Tetapi barangsiapa yang tinggal dalam dunia, lalu hatinya rindu dan perasaannya tersangkut kepadanya, akhirnya dia akan sengsara. Dia akan terbawa kepada suatu masa yang tidak dapat tertahankan deritanya.Tafakur membawa kita kepada kebaikan dan berusaha mengerjakannya. Menyesal atas perbuatan jahat membawa kepada meninggalkan kejahatan itu. Barang yang fana walau bagaimanapun banyaknya, tidaklah dapat menyamai barang yang baqa (kekal), walaupun sedikit. Awasilah dirimu dari dunia yang cepat datang dan cepat pergi ini, dan yang penuh dengan tipuan.Menurut Hasan al-Basri, zuhud adalah, "memerlakukan dunia ini hanya sebagai jembatan yang hanya sekedar untuk dilalui dan sama sekali tidak membangun apa-apa di atasnya.” Konsep dasar pendirian tasawuf Hasan al-Basri adalah zuhud terhadap dunia, menolak  kemegahannya, semata menuju kepadaAllah, tawakal, khauf, dan raja', semuanya tidaklah terpisah. Jangan hanya takut kepada Allah, tetapi ikutilah ketakutan itu dengan pengharapan. Takut akan murka-Nya, tetapi mengharap karunia-Nya. Bagi Al-Ghazali rasio manusia tidak bisa memperoleh pengetahuan yang sebenarnya tentang Tuhan, sedang hati (qalb) bisa mengetahui hakikat segala sesuatu dan mampu mengetahui rahasia Tuhan. Ketika qalbu bersih di waktu itulah Tuhan menurunkan cahaya-Nya kepada seorang sufi, sehingga yang dilihatnya hanyalah Tuhan dan disinilah menunjukkan bahwa seseorang telah sampai ketingkat ma;rifah. Ma’rifah serupa ini diakui oleh ahli sunnah yang menyebabkan tasawuf diterima bagi kaum syariat, yang sebelumnya ditentang oleh mereka karena telah menyeleweng dari ajaran-ajaran Islam
