Abstract

This research analyzes the role of Indonesia’s government, media and citizen oncultural diplomacy of Bono tidal bore, a newly developed international surfing tourism.Bono is located in Teluk Meranti village, Pelalawan regency, Riau province and offeringa special phenomenon that only available in four countries in the world. The promotionof Bono still fairly minimal since it just developed as a tourism region past few years.Like the other objects of cultural diplomacy such as Batik and Wayang, Bono tidal borewith all local tradition in the tourism region becomes new Indonesian cultural diplomacy.This case will be analyzed in state level of analysis within framework ofPerspective of Pluralist and Theory of Cultural Diplomacy. The theories explains thatnon-state actor have significant role in international politics including practice ofdiplomacy. Cultural diplomacy means all form of culture becomes instrument and alsoobject of diplomacy, mainly by state, as part of soft power and to gains the otheradvantageIndonesia rich of cultural products and needs cultural diplomacy to promote themto international society. The purpose can be international recognition and sertification,increasing tourist visits, and promotes the exellences of Indonesian. Abstract

Culture is complex that includes knowledge, art, moral, legal, customs andother skills and habits by human members of society. The tradition is a habit of socialderived from a generation to generation other through the process of socialization.The tradition of determining the values and moral society, because tradition are therules about what is right and what is wrong according to residents. Tabuik is acultural heritage in the form of ritual ceremony, which is growing in Pariaman sinceabout two centuries ago. Tabuik is a ceremony or the celebration commemorating thedeath of Husain, but then develop into a culture of Pariaman as in the elements ofculture Minangkabau. For the Pariaman ceremony is not a faith (the trust concernedwith the divined or the revered), the implementation of the just for the ceremony tocommemorate the death of Husain. The important thing of the celebration of tabuik isthe implementation of the party who by the Pariaman called batabuik or mahoyaktabuik. The celebration tabuik of ritus-ritus or a series of the ceremony begins fromthe rite maambiak tanah into the river, maambiak/manabang batang pisang, maatam,marandai, maarak jari-jari, maarak saroban, tabuik naiak pangkek, maoyak tabuik,to be closed with a rite mambuang tabuik into the sea. Ritus-ritus embodied in theform of the procession. Range of time used to it procession between 10 to 14 days atthe beginning of Muharram, can even more than that. In the implementation of thetradition tabuik since the first will be conducted until now had a change in terms ofkesakralan and spiritual communities in Pariaman in the procession tabuik, as forchanges in the tradition tabuik is as follows; Kepala Burak, Auang Tuo Tabuik, TheIn Kerangka Tabuik, Pembungan Tabuik, and Hoyak Tabuik. At the dawn of theimplementation of tabuik, tabuik is carried out some of the ceremony is sacred andcontains the value of the high, for the perpetrators tabuik of preparing the showtabuik as celebrate religious holidays. Abstract

The This research aims to find out how the quality service of the tour guide in the palace Asserayah Hasyimiah Siak Sri Indrapura.This research used qualitative desciptive method to analyze the problems. The sample in this research are 100 samples by using accidental sampling. And then the techniques to collected data in this research are using observation, questionnaire and interview. And it was using likert scale to know the length of intervals.Based on the result of the research that’s been done, it looks that the quality service tour guide in the palace Asserayah Hasyimiah still low and need to be improved again.Keywords : Service Quality, Tour Guide, The Palace Asserayah Hasyimiah

Abstract

Problems encountered with regard to customer satisfaction on Quuen Star Waterpark is the reduction in visits level over the last 3 years. pricing, is one factor that has been attempted by the company but have not been able to contribute a maximum of customer satisfaction . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pricing of customer satisfaction on Queen Star Waterpark.The research aims to analyze how the influence of price toward customer satisfaction. Sampling method uses Accidental Sampling Method. Sample of trhe research is 96 Queen star’s customer and then an analysis is performed toward the obtained data by using data analysis quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitatively analysis includes: validity and realibility test, simple regression analysis and hypothesis test through t, and determination coefficient analysis (R). Qualitative analysis is an interpretation of the obtained data within research andthe result of data processing has been implemented by providing information andexplanation. Data has complied validity, realibility, so that those are resulting regression equation as follows:Y = 4,983+ 0,407 XWhere, Customer Satisfaction (Y), Price variable (X). Hyphothesis test uses t test demonstrates that the three of examined independent variables is proved significantly have a partially effect on dependent variable of Customer Satisfaction. The grade of R Square is 0,177 demonstrates that 17,7% percent of Customer Satisfaction variable can be explained by the three of independent variables within regression equation. While, the remainder is 82,3 percent is explained by other variables outside of those variable other used in the research.Keywords: Price, customer satisfaction

Abstract

This research describes the strategy of Australia insert Indonesia into Australia Defence White Paper 2013. Defence White Paper is one of strategic products in the field of defence, which is an outline of the statement and the defence policy as a guidelines for organizing the defence of state functions. Different to the previous White Paper, Defence White Paper 2013 discussed Indonesia more specific with emphasis on sub-chapter in this Paper. One of priority of Australia defence interest is to maintain the good relations with Indonesia.The theory that applied in this research is realisms paradigm with the level analysis is Nation-State Analysis. The method that is used in this research is qualitative research. Some of the datas are obtained from books, journals, articles, internet and other media. This research focused on why Australia insert Indonesia into Australia Defence White Paper 2013. Using strategic theory from John P. Lovell about Accommodation Strategy and the cooperative security concept by J.E. Nolan.The research found that Indonesia has more powerful military force in the aggregate compared than Australia, among others are manpower, naval power, land system, air power, and resources. Australia looked to Indonesia as a country that has successfully rebuilding the democracy, economy, and military and that is the interest of Australia to continue a good relations with Indonesia. Australia build the security cooperation that provide benefits to prevent various threats that threatening it’s national security. The aim of this strategy is to deterrence the treats that come to Australia and maintain the stability of national security by building a strategic relation with Indonesia.Keywords: strategy, australia, defence white paper, indonesia

Abstract

Labor constraints can be identified are: 1) Many companies disseminate job informationand recruitment alone without cooperating with Dinsosnakertrans. 2) Many job seekers whochoose to work too selective in choosing only bona fide jobs and high-paying. 3) The growth ofthe labor force that is faster than the growth of employment opportunities available. 4) Lack ofcommunication between providers working with job seekers. The formulation of the mainproblem in this research are: 1) How the implementation of the Department of Labor function inthe distribution of labor in the city of Pekanbaru? 2) factors that support the Department of Laborin the distribution of labor in the city of Pekanbaru. 3) How can private companies in Pekanbaruhelp program the Department of Labor in the distribution of labor in the city of Pekanbaru?This study used qualitative research methods to understand the phenomenon or a socialphenomenon with more emphasis on the complete picture of the phenomenon under study thanmemperincinya become variables are interrelated. This research was conducted at the office ofthe Department of Labor Pekanbaru. The reason the researchers chose the Department of Laboroffice Pekanbaru. In this research is taken to be the informant is the researchers conductedinterviews with one person Head of the Department of Labor Pekanbaru, 1 secretary, they serveas key informants, plus 11 staff and 5 people. Types and Data Sources: Primary data is dataobtained directly from the respondents that the source was obtained directly from the results ofquestionnaires and interviews. Secondary data, ie data obtained through documents, monographs,data board, books and other research.Here the author provides conclusions of this research paper: 1) Implementation of theEmployment Policy in Pekanbaru one of which is owned by the Department of Labor Pekanbaru.Where as program managers who perform activities such as coaching, supervision, andplacement of the work units involved in the implementation of employment programs. 2)Supporting factors can help the course of any activity conducted labor market is the availabilityof funds, facilities and infrastructure are complete, and proficiency of its personnel or employeesof the Department of Labor Pekanbaru. 3) Cooperation between the private company with theDepartment of Labor Pekanbaru City in the distribution of labor, the labor market for online jobseekers provided by the private company through the Department of Labor Pekanbaru, theattachment of the job vacancy information canvassing work done Agency Labor Pekanbarubased on information submitted private companies, and most importantly, private companieshave consistently reported vacancies still existing or required the company to the Department ofLabor Pekanbaru city.Keywords: Function, Distribution

Abstract

This research analyze the changes of Batin roles in Suku Petalangan in the case of Pebatinan Monti Raja Desa Betung. Batin role changes that occur in Petalangan tribe is a social phenomenon that occurs in the Petalangan, Batin position in view of the public in Petalangan Betung village has an important position. Batin is a leader for his people, where Batin has a role to educate people in inheritance, marriage, dispute, besides maintaining communal land and jungle siege beehive. But in fact the contemporary conditions with increasingly advanced technology and information on the inner part Petalangan rate changes. Batin no longer maximal in implementing the rights and obligations of the nephew and keep treasures that exist in the Petalangan. This research explained under framework of structural functional perspective, theory of change By Himes dan More. This research uses qualitative methode with library system of study and pusposive technique where the number of respondents amounted to 8 people consisting of traditional authorities of Batin Monti Raja. Abstract

This research was carried out among University Students of Riau. In order to determine the behavior of online gambling among college students. Problems in this study are (1) Who are the students who conduct online gambling activities? (2) What are the factors that encourage students to conduct online gambling? (3) What is the impact of online gambling on college student activity after online gambling addiction or gambling? This research is a qualitative descriptive ,. As for the population in this study is Riau University student who engages in gambling online. Because the number of students who perform online gambling is not known, in this study the authors in the sampling technique used non probability that Snowball Sampling technique by determining one or two informants to be interviewed further from previous informant informant further information. This will continue until the time when the informant is sufficient. To collect the data the researchers used the method of observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews using interview guideline in analyzing the research data used in the analysis of qualitative and described in descriptive writing.Based on the results of this study concluded that online gambling behaviors among university students in this study is riau students aged 21-25 years.Based on the results of this study concluded that online gambling behaviors among students that is caused by factors, factors lax parental control, profit factor, the desire and the entertainment factor. And the impact of the behavior of online gambling is that health impacts, reduce the spirit of learning, economic, personality and lead to deviant behavior like that is lying, pawning goods as well as the positive impact of online gambling is that as entertainment.Keywords: Behavior of online gambling, among students

Abstract

This research was conducted in the village of Talang Suka Maju in Rakit Kulim districts.This village was chosen, due to this village there is a new plantation which create new jobopportunities for men and women. The aim of this study was to determine what caused themotivation of women workers interested in working in PT Kharisma Riau Sentosa Prima and todetermine what factors influence the motivation of the women workers working in PT KharismaRiau Sentosa Prima.The population in this study were all female workers who work in PT Kharisma RiauSentosa Prima. Sampling in this study is the engineering method of census sampling techniquewhen all members of the population sampled.The research method of this research is to use descriptive quantitative method. Abstract

The existence of street vendors who use a car shop on the one hand is needed by consumers, especially employees of government offices located around the Cut Nyak Dien, but on the other hand its existence actually disturbing the peace, cleanliness and comfort of the user community. In accordance with local regulations on public order, the city government taken any action against street vendors. Traders will be pursuing a strategy to keep them survive selling along Jalan Cut Nyak Dien. Results of the study showed that the trader chose to stick with a reason to meet the economic needs of the family and the location of Cut Nyak Dien is a promising market for street vendors. The reason that makes traders have a strategy to survive in order to keep selling by ridding the area of selling, Ask for the Protection and Defense of Pekanbaru City Council, Sell and Preserving unique culinary Riau, Strengthening Social Solidarity between the Fellow Street Vendors, cat and mouse with the municipal police officers. Besides traders have a strategy to maintain their business from the competition by building relationships with buyers, competition in taste, and set the time to sell. The purpose of this study is also to analyze the merchant profile. To determine the total number of merchants and determine informants used in the field study using purposive sampling method. The data field of the overall number of traders who use the Car Shop amounted to 15 merchants by taking as many as 8 research subjects merchant. To collect data from informants used the method of direct observation, interview and documentation, for processing the data used qualitative methods. The results showed that the traders from West Sumatra, 36-60 years old, have a secondary education, high school and undergraduate, length of stay in Singapore is generally more than 15 years and monthly income ranges between 5 million rupiahs.Keywords: Profile, Street Vendors, And Strategies Survive
